Well Chapel Roane, a singer of big songs like Hot
to Go, has never been shy about calling out the
people she feels has done her wrong in life, and
while it's normally x'es, it's interesting. At the Austin City
Limits Music Festival the other night, she called out a
theater teacher.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Check this out.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
I usually dedicate this song to my ex, but I
dedicate this song to my theater teacher who keeps me.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
I'm here.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
I dedicate this song to my I believe in theater
teacher that kicked me out. Fans went wild, with one
writing really theater teacher kicking out Chapel We ride at Dawn.
Of course, kind of her big claim to this new
fame is being super honest about how much it has
(01:18):
kind of affected her. She's pulled out of festivals because
she's felt overwhelmed. She's gone after fans and defended herself
for not endorsing any political candidates, even getting pretty mouthy
on the red carpet, saying listen, respect my boundaries and
apparently that theater teacher has left a.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Feeling for her.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
I'm surprised she wasn't just beloved in that class. Seems
fairly dramatic, just a little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
Hailey Beaber is surprising fans with a bold post featuring
her hubby Justin, as speculation has been growing over his
relationship with rap mogul Sean Diddy Combs. Of course, the
two welcome to their son Jack back in August, sharing
a picture of a shirtless Justin with both his birds
(02:02):
in the year and just writing mood Now. Normally this
wouldn't kind of stick out as anything weird to me,
but the two have been quite quiet following all of
these Ditty allegations. There's been so many resurfaced videos from
fans wondering what Justin went through in his early life
because of his close relationship with Ditty, and a lot
(02:24):
of fans feel like this is just kind of her
way of saying, some stuff went down, We're working through it.
Justin is doing his hardest to kind of separate himself
from everything that's being said, and just focused on being
a first time dad because family for him has always
been his safe space.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Well, whether anything happened or not, rest assured, fans and
the media are not going to stop with these questions.
It's not like the Diddy Drama's going anywhere anytime soon.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Yeah, And coming up in next hour, Scoop, I'm going
to tell you about some potential letters to celebrities that
are about to be sent out from that Houston attorney that.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Is represent one hundred and twenty victims.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
Finally, Prime Day is upon us the next two days,
with Amazon Prime hosting what they call their biggest deals
of the year, including celebrity endorsed deals.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
And I thought it was worth bringing up Paris Hilton.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
Oh, she has got some fabulous ideas for you, including
a pink cookwar set that is on sale, as well
as a Paris Hilton air fryer, both of which she
claims will channel your inner Heiress. On top of being stylish,
they make cooking a breeze with multi layered nonstick coating
(03:37):
free of PFOA, creating an even heat distribution that, of
course Paris would say, is so hot.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
It is so hot. I mean, honestly, it is billionaire.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Heiresses that I look to for relatable cooking products, So
I mean this works for the Airfrar is super cute.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
You guys, all of your celeb scoop at West Michigan Star.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
Doc sometimes because I'd get a good feel.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Let's do this, SCHMITTI when was the last time you
watched your wedding video.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
I didn't have a wedding video, no wedding video.
Speaker 5 (04:13):
We just did picks, all right.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Well, I can imagine how many times have you looked
at your wedding photos besides maybe the ones you have
to scored in your home all the time all the time.
Interesting because I have a wedding video that I have
seen exactly one time, and it was shortly after I
got married. But I feel a good story this morning
here on starting a five point seven shvidia about a
couple who did the same thing. Their names are Eileen
and Bill Turnbill, and they were from Australia and got
(04:39):
married but in Scotland in nineteen sixty seven. Well, afterwards
they went home back to Australia and they watched the
movie of their wedding one time and then boom, they
forgot about it just like anybody else. And then years
go by and before you knew it, you realize they
had no idea where their wedding video was. They had
(05:01):
actually borrowed up projector to watch it, and that's sort
of what tip them off as to where it could
be because Eileen, believe it or not, scrolling on Facebook
one day and she happened to spot a still shot
that was taken from her wedding video. It was in
a group for Australian Natives by Terry Shin, whose uncle
had actually been the one who loaned them the projector
(05:22):
all those years ago. Well they're able to track it down.
So these folks got their wedding video Backshmitti fifty seven
years after their wedding day. And so when they were
watching it, they talked about all the people that are
no longer with us that they got to see, Eileen saying,
it seems so strange for me to see my mother
(05:42):
and father not just in a photograph, but they're actually
moving walking. And my husband, he saw his grandmother and
his grandfather who was a hundred when he died. To
look back and see these people was just absolutely amazing.
I still can't believe it really that, on top of
actually seeing your wedding again for the first time in
fifty seven years.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
Just unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
How our social media You gotta say it all right,
as we are looking forward to another matchup in Game
three of the Alds between the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Guardians,
did you know the two pitchers that went against each
other yesterday just happened to be best friends off the mound.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
This is so cool.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
In one of those like full circle ripped from a
movie script moment, the former Tiger teammates starting against each
other yesterday have shared how important they are to each
other in this unbelievable journey.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
See Trek Scooble.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
Who pitched unbelievably said, I gotta be honest. It's all
thanks to Matthew Boyd. So thirty three year old Boyd's
career was at an absolute crossroads. Only months ago. He
was rehabbing from Tommy John surgery he had last year.
His prospects were real limited. Middle of June, he said,
I'm throwing showcases to teams and I'm coaching kids'.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Little league games.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
But boy kept pushing by none other than Schoobl's encouragement
from his recovery years earlier from the exact same surgery.
Boyd said, I couldn't write this script. We are so
excited to be here. Back in twenty twenty, Schooble was
an up and coming prospect with the Tigers when the
COVID pandemic struck and he was looking to find his
(07:19):
place in the big leagues. Enter Boyd, who would actually
host team dinners on the road. Schoobl remembers the gatherings
helping him and some of the other Tigers players just
feel really connected at a time when isolation was mandated.
They grew from teammates to best friends. While schoobl was
struggling during his first two seasons with the Tigers, he
(07:39):
would always turn to Boyd for guidance. Even today, they
hype each other up, text back and forth. Even ahead
of this unbelievable series. Schoobl says, everything I learned I
learned from Boyd. Get your rest, do your preparation, trust
your stuff. Schoobl said. It's always positive things. It's never like, hey,
you look bad out there, always positive. He is such
(08:01):
a good person. However, when he did sign with the Guardians,
I'll admit My first text was that he was a trader.
But now we're on this stage together, it's really special.
It will be fun to watch him, but I'll admit
and be rooting against him pretty heavily.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
So I just thought to be really cool to point
that out.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
I had no idea that two were that incredibly close
off the field, and they, I mean, just back and forth,
over and over again. You hear the same message. I
wouldn't be here without him. I wouldn't be here without him.
That supports incredible and I especially love to see that
in men, and like, it's so cool.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
And you know they both went lights out yesterday. Hey
schoolb Wele going seven innings pitch zero runs and Boyd
going four innings pitch zero runs.
Speaker 4 (08:40):
So there's even more here. I couldn't get to what
they have to say the entire interview. I'll get it
for you at West Michigan Star dot com. It's a
really cool read ahead of that game tomorrow, all right.
I love that, and go Tigers.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Feel like good coming at you a couple of times today.
I always want to share some positivity with you. We'll
do it coming up again at nine twenty here this morning.
US Star with a flow boyd SO.

Movies, music and all the gossip in one place.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
It's the Celebrities group on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Well sad news to report Cissy Houston, Grammy winning singer
and mother of the late Whitney Houston, has passed away.
Sissy dying yesterday surrounded by family in her New Jersey home,
where she was under hospice care as a results of
Alzheimer's disease. Her daughter in law Pat Houston confirming the news.
Sissy being remembered as a strong and towering figure and
(09:30):
a woman of deep faith and conviction. Starting her career
in nineteen thirty eight, seeing gospel with her siblings, she
was a backup singer for names like Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin,
Shock of con Van Morrison, Jimmy Hendrix, just to name
a few, collaborated with Beyonce, Luther vandros Paul Simon, and
(09:53):
as a solo artist, picked up two Grammy Awards.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Sissy Houston was ninety one.
Speaker 5 (09:59):
You forget just how big Whitney's mom was.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
In her own rights.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Yeah, big celebrities will be sued in connection to the
Ditty case. This is getting more and more interesting by
the day. According to attorney Tony Busby. This is the
Houston based lawyer who is going to be representing one
hundred and twenty victims. He said that a lot of
(10:25):
big names allegedly helped Diddy carry out and cover up assaults,
and unless they said a lout of court first, they
will be made public.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
This is interesting.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
He talked to TMZ yesterday saying that demand letters have
been sent out. However, those lawsuits probably won't be filed
this week.
Speaker 6 (10:44):
You know, everyone's focused on what other celebrities were involved.
You know who's going to be named, who's going to
be outed. I don't expect that to happen this week.
I'm hoping to file some lawsuits this week, will of course,
will include mister Collins and some corporate entities. But we
want to make sure that, you know, if we name
individuals beyond mister Combs, that that we make sure that
(11:06):
we've done our homework because it's going to create a firestorm.
We understand that. So we're going to make sure that
we dot our e's and cross our t's.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
Busby says a ton of famous people that everyone has
heard of are going to be sued by his law
firm in the coming weeks. He's already sent out demand letters,
like I said, giving celebs the chance to pony up
money and settle out of a court to avoid a
public lawsuit.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Get this. According to Busby, some celebrities have already settled.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
See this is the part that I am interested in,
because while I'm not trying to, I think people need
to take a measured approach to this. But I want
to know more of the people that paid money to
have their names omitted from the lawsuits. Then I care
about the people who are like, no, I don't care
say my name. I got nothing to hide, Go ahead
and do it. Because from a pr perspective, I can
(11:54):
see why nobody wants to be near this thing with
a forty foot poll. But at the same time, like
paying people off just to keep your name out of
it seems really suspicious.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
By the way, speaking of nobody wanting to touch Ditty
with a ten foot pole, Miami Beach City officials in
final negotiations to take back Ditty's ki to the city.
And finally, Spirit Halloween is going Christmas.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
Spencer's Spirit Holdings, parent company of Spirit Halloween, has announced
plans to open ten of its seasonal Spirit Christmas Shops,
which will sell gifts and decor ahead of the holidays.
Each of the shops will also plan to offer photos
and meet and greets with Sanna, who, not surprising, will
double as the brand's mascot as well. Ten locations will
(12:39):
open in the next few weeks, all of them in
the Northeast between New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Massachusetts,
but they are expecting to open more if this looks
to be successful. A representative also said that Spirit Christmas
will include a life sized gingerbread village where you can
mail letters to the North Pole.
Speaker 5 (13:00):
I don't hey, I think this is a good idea.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
I mean, family, you get rid of the scream face.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
I don't know if I need the scream face saying hey,
come on in kids, Merry Christmas.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
All of your celebscoop at West Michigan Star dot com.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Come oning to you. It's Mac and Schmidty. And you
know this story that you told me about. Yeah, unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
It's I mean, it's heartbreaking because you just feel like
something like this happens and you're not gonna catch a break.
I have been in Grand Rapids full time since two
thousand and six. It's almost been twenty years, and I
have never had this happen to someone. But over the
weekend we did Pulaski Days and Chris's family all in
(13:38):
the up came down to visit. And his cousin goes
to Grand Valley. So she's lived here for the last
three years. And just like just I want to say,
August moved into a new place on the west side,
and her car got stolen over the weekend, just like
out in front of her place, out in front of
her place, locked everything, like she has the keys, just stolen.
(14:02):
She it happened. The ringcam caught it Saturday morning about
three fifteen am. Okay three they look to be kids
under twenty one.
Speaker 5 (14:10):
Kind of car.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
It was a Kia. Oh so, well, here's the thing.
What is this?
Speaker 5 (14:16):
It's bad boys Kia boys man, oh boy.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
Well, so here's the sad part of it. Like her
family had heard nothing about this, Like this is not
a this is not a thing in the up and
so we're like, oh man, Kia's are pretty exceptional for
being stolen, like they're very apparently easy to steal. I've
never owned a Kia, so I'm not sure about this,
but we were looking up news stories and a lot
of times you can pull, at least in the older models,
(14:42):
like the ignition button off.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
You use a USB stick and you're out of there
and under a minute.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
So it's like today's version of the Honda Civic because
that's what everybody used to steal.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
Oh really, well, I just what I want to talk
about is how you recover from something like this. Because
she's asking us all these questions. Thank goodness, her mom
was down here because she's sobbing. She had her laptop
in the car. She had just wrapped up from a
shift at work. They had done all this shopping because
she has a huge internship fear coming up. All the
brand new clothes gone, everything stolen with this car, she said.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
The GRPD officer was super kind, took.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
A detailed report, was really helpful, but ultimately said, you know,
we'll keep an eye out, but you're probably not giving
this car back, So I.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Mean, what do you do?
Speaker 4 (15:25):
I felt so terrible. I had no advice for her.
I've never known someone to have a car stolen. I
don't know what insurance does. I'm not sure if like,
I mean, they have the ring camera evidence, so maybe
they're going to give them the value of the car.
But also she doesn't have any family here and she's carless.
Like her manager holder and said, hey, I heard what happened.
(15:47):
Don't worry about coming in for your shift tonight. You
have no way to get here. I mean, what would
you do if you were a twenty one year old
who got your car stolen? And it makes me so
annoyed because it's like, really, you're ripping off poor college students.
I mean, not that anyone's car should ever get stolen.
I'm not not saying doubly. I'm gonna like a hire
a rent area on distri Some be fine there, Like
(16:09):
this girl's got what twenty bucks are a name, she's
working her tail off for books and to try and graduate,
and you're gonna steal her car. I didn't know if
anybody ever had any kind of experience with this or
had really good advice on what you do when something
exceptionally valuable has been stolen.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
I couldn't relate to a car like especially one that
had all that stuff in there that she was, you know,
found so valuable on top of the vehicle. Closest thing
to my family. We got our house broken into one
time when I was a kid, and they stole our
giant like VHS over the shoulder recording camera.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
Which would have been like three four hundred bus.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
It was extremely expensive thing, and it was something that
my parents had only used like two times because we
had just gotten it for Christmas like a few months earlier.
They never found it, We never replaced it. It was
one of those things where it was just like, yeah,
it's gone, it's gone.
Speaker 4 (17:01):
I mean I've been I got broken into in our
last house about six months after we moved in, but
I walked in on the burglar, so you didn't have
time to take anything. Yeah, but what I mean, I
know she's probably listening right now between between the sobs.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
She was so upset.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
Also, Pulaski weekend come on, like it was just a
buzzkill for the whole thing. They didn't go out with us,
obviously they didn't want to. They were just super sad.
What do you do here? Do you have any really
good advice something maybe you've dealt with and you can say, oh,
do this or call this person or make sure you
remember this report six one six four five eight, one
(17:36):
oh five seven. My poor cousin car stolen in the
middle of the night.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
I'll be honest with you, if I had something like
that happen Perrogui's and kill Basia would make me feel
a little better about life.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
Smabe, I just say it, hit me up.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
If you got some good advice for her. We're all
just trying to give you know, a happy like, oh,
this will build resilience and what doesn't kill you makes
you stronger, which is the last thing you want to
hear when your car that you've also only owned for
about a year has been stolen.
Speaker 5 (18:03):
Forget that, I'm thinking insurance claim. Hook me up. I
want a nice new Kia.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Good morning.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
It's Mac and Schmidty and unfortunately kind of a buzz
kill story today with pulast few days over the weekend,
my uper family came down and my cousin, who's lived
here for about three years, she goes to Grand Valley
and just moved over to the West Side a few
months ago, had her car stolen. And I have lived
here for almost twenty years. I've never had this happen
(18:29):
to someone. It was Saturday morning, about three am. Boom,
they were gone in like a minute, and I'm wondering
do you have any advice? Have you ever had something
valuable stolen and did it work out?
Speaker 1 (18:40):
What did you do? Good morning star? Who's this?
Speaker 7 (18:43):
My name is na Hey Max.
Speaker 5 (18:45):
Where are you coming from today?
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Do you have any advice? What have you gotten stolen? Well?
Speaker 7 (18:50):
I haven't gotten well years ago. I got my vehicle
to your topic that it's a Kia. I just wanted
to call and let you know. That way you could
let her know that there's a lawsuit pending against Kia
because of their antipeth system. I would definitely have her
(19:14):
research on on that lawsuit. That way she can get
compensated for everything that was stolen, and you know, being
that her vehicle was stolen and everything inside of it.
Speaker 4 (19:26):
Yeah, I had heard like a little bit of a
rumor of that, so I really appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
I'm gonna have her look into that. Thank you.
Speaker 7 (19:32):
Yeah, absolutely, Thanks Max.
Speaker 8 (19:34):
All.
Speaker 7 (19:34):
I love you guys.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
Good morning star. Who's this? Hei, Heidi? Where are you
at today?
Speaker 8 (19:39):
I'm in Holland handed to work.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
You had something stolen, not stolen.
Speaker 8 (19:44):
But my car was broken into one time and a
lot of my things were taken out of it. And yeah,
but the one little piece of advice I wanted to
give is my dad's homeowners insurance covers everything that was
taken out of the car.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Reilly, did you have renters in shops?
Speaker 8 (20:02):
They paid, They replaced everything that was taken out of
the car that wasn't attached.
Speaker 9 (20:07):
To the car.
Speaker 5 (20:08):
Oh, that's smart.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
That's great advice. Thank you so much.
Speaker 9 (20:13):
You're very well. Some I'm so sorry to happen.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
I know, but this is helpful. You have a great morning.
Speaker 5 (20:18):
Thank you you too, Good morning star. Who's this Ahi?
Speaker 9 (20:21):
This is Joshum Grand Rapids, the local mechanic, Josh.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
Josh oh Man, give me the advice. I bet you've
got some good ones.
Speaker 10 (20:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (20:29):
So to keep that hamster ball safe from the key boys,
there's a couple of things we do out here.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Okay.
Speaker 9 (20:35):
So there's a twelve hole system that will plug right
into your battery in the car that by remote will
cut the ignition coils.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Oh.
Speaker 9 (20:47):
If you unlock your vehicle, you get in it and
try to start it. Unless you enable that system, it
cannot be started even with the key.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Oh, you guys have basic Jerry Rick, this thing up
here to take care of all these problems.
Speaker 9 (21:04):
Well, it's also so we have killed switches, huh, muscle
cars and where if somebody were to try and steal
like say a highly thought after sixty nine Camaro with us,
it has a secret switch in it hidden on the
interior that will not let the car start even if
you have the key. You have to know where the
(21:26):
kill switch is that vehicle will fire.
Speaker 4 (21:28):
Hey, Josh, you want to go ahead and give a
shout out to your mechanic company that you work for.
Speaker 9 (21:34):
I'm just a personal mechanic. I do work for Snow
and Salt Tech out of Granville for all your plowing
and salting needs.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
Yeah, I think you're a pretty good dude to be
talking to you. That's good advice.
Speaker 7 (21:44):
Man.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
I appreciate you.
Speaker 9 (21:45):
He hain't no problem. You guys have a great day.
Speaker 5 (21:47):
It is Josh.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
I'm gonna send this to my cousin. I'm just gonna
I'm gonna grab this podcast. So I really thank you
guys allso so much. This will be very comforting to her.
I really appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Big salut to Josh too. I feel like that guy
lives his life a quarter mile at a time. Smitty
you know what I mean.
Speaker 5 (22:01):
Oh, nice, that's a little bit.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Smitty is so salty, Yes she is, but salty schmitty
I am used to. I expecting sad and crying, Sir.
Speaker 5 (22:12):
I don't like that. It's tarboto five point seven. What happened?
Speaker 1 (22:15):
It was such a hard day yesterday. I don't. Do
you feel like you have Monday brain?
Speaker 4 (22:22):
I feel like everybody you come off the weekend and
you're just a little bit scattered, maybe or you do
so much at work to get started for the week.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Sometimes it delays until Tuesday. But I definitely do get
the Monday break.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yeah, so I gets on with my shows.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
Yesterday, I get in my car, I realize I need
gas and like I need it on the fumes. So
I find the closest station downtown and that's when I
pull in and realize I don't have any money.
Speaker 5 (22:48):
It's really necessary for goods and services. Set.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
A card is sitting in the jeans pocket that I
used over the weekend when we went out.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
And I'm like, okay, do I have anything.
Speaker 4 (22:57):
Oh, I've got a little bit of a Speedway gift
card left over from a birthday gift I got six
months ago.
Speaker 5 (23:04):
The gas is a wonderful gift.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
Find the speedway closest. I said, can I make it
to West River Drive? Because I'm driving to Rockford, So
get on one thirty one north. I make it to
West River. It's okay, ten dollars left on the car,
so let's go and get me there. And then my
Monday brain kicks in, so I get down. There's a
whole bunch of construction on West River Drive right now.
Speaker 5 (23:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
So I get on the road and I'm like, oh, perfect,
I can make an easy left here. Why am I
going on southbound one thirty one when my home is
on northbound one thirty one. So I get on southbound
one thirty one, and if anyone's driven this morning, post
drive to the ninety six interchange down to one lane.
So then I get onto southbound one thirty one and
I realize it's backed all the way up.
Speaker 5 (23:42):
You can go nowhere the bridge.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
And I was like, oh my god, what am I doing?
And I thought, okay, no big deal, no big deal.
I'm just gonna take the ninety six exit and then
I'll go to Alpine and then I'll loop around. I
can beat all this trap, So go on ninety six
and I get to the Alpine exit. I'm like, we're golden.
Turn my loop around and go what do I do?
Get on cell phone one thirty one, which is correct,
(24:05):
Which is correct because my Google's telling me get on
one thirty one because then you continue through to the
Lancing exit and then you can loop around.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
Do I make that Lancing exit?
Speaker 4 (24:13):
I do not.
Speaker 5 (24:14):
It's very close. That's a chicky little exit right there.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
Downtown Grand Rapids. I called Chris. I'm sobbing. He's like,
what is happening? I said, I'm I live here now,
I'm just gonna be in this endless loop. I don't
know what is going on with my brain and my
navigational directions.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
I'm so and do you know what he does? He
starts hysterically laughing.
Speaker 5 (24:34):
Oh god.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
So I hang up the phone and I parked in
a park. I think I was at Sixth Street Park
for about forty five minutes. I got my life together,
and then I finally made it home an hour and
fifty three minutes after I left our studios.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
My god, really, so sulky.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
There is zero tans. Your husband would have felt safe
laughing at you if he were in that vehicle.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
I think, yeah, thank you so much. You are correct.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Music and all the gossip in one place.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
It's the celebrities group on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
Well, according to sources, Kanye West and Bianca Sensori are
colin it quits, headed for divorce after their almost two
year marriage. Multiple sources say Kanye and Bianca have been
telling people in their close circle that they actually split
up a few weeks ago, with Bianca heading to Australia
(25:27):
to spend time with her family. There's no word on
what prompted the split or who pulled the plug first,
but Kanye has also been telling friends that he plans
to live in Tokyo after finalizing his divorce from Bianca. Now,
Kanye has been seen flying solo around the Japanese capital
on more than one occasion. In fact, he was seen
(25:49):
enjoying dinner out on a few different things. He was
seen around fashion weeks what people had noticed without Bianca.
In fact, the last time the two were seen together
was September twentieth, which is pretty rare for how often
he kind of liked to parade her and her new
outfits around. So we're being told that Bianca's family may
have been a big part of this as well. They
(26:10):
came for a visit a few weeks ago, and even
in the pictures that surfaced, things looked a little tense,
and they're saying it is done.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
For the couple.
Speaker 5 (26:19):
I'm so shocked.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Your jaw up off the floor.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
This was true love and they were such a cute couple.
I mean, the looks that they did together, I mean, oh,
I mean, you want to put it on a Christmas
clack of fabric.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
It really just screams love. A year after Taylor Swift.
Speaker 4 (26:35):
Joined the ranks of billionaires in Forbes, they are now
reporting the cruel summer singer has nabbed the top title.
Swift is the richest female musician in the world, worth
a reported one.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Point six billion bucks.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
She officially dethrones Rihanna, also beats out Madonna, Beyonce, and
Selene Yon. Her sold out Aras tour was the biggest
boost to her financial portfolio. However, it's worth pointing out
she also holds one hundred and twenty five million dollars
in real estate holdings alone, so Rihanna previously had a
(27:15):
net worth of one point seven billion. A lot of
that thanks to her cosmetic and launchery brand. But now
that current networth has dropped just below where Taylor is at.
By the way, Taylor was at Arrowhead Stadium last night
taking in Travis's game with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
She was there with her dad.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
Aw So the broke the breakup my room or there
not true?
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Jill look together and happy speaking of Kansas City. My
most favorite of the Kelsey brothers Jason Kelsey picking up
a new party trick as he took his Monday night
football job to the streets, joining tailgating crowds. The former
Philadelphia Eagles Center got schooled learning a new party trick
(27:58):
away to gulp down a year while squeezing the can
in your hand. Listen to this live on the scene
reporting These are the.
Speaker 5 (28:06):
Kind of tricks you only learn at the tailgate.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
What the heck is that.
Speaker 5 (28:11):
It's gut a physics professor?
Speaker 10 (28:13):
Squeeze open open, open, open, open, open words.
Speaker 9 (28:24):
On your folks.
Speaker 4 (28:25):
I mean the people back in the broadcast booth were
losing their minds.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Jason Kelsey is the greatest thing ever.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
I think the wrong Kelsey Brothers on television. I want
I want Jason Kelsey hosting game shows. Okay, like, oh
my gosh, awesome.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
It's so good.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
I've got the full video for you with your scoop
at West Michigan Star.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Dot com back and sweety in the morning. In your
shot to get to an incredibly cool show, dude, perfect.
The guys were hitting the most insane trick shots and
other incredible stunts that have been invading your timelines all
over social media and YouTube for like a decade. Sixteen
million YouTube followers, just unbelievable. But this live show come
(29:05):
into Van Andelerna next summer. Tickets don't go on sale
to the general public until tomorrow morning. But you can
win yours right now if you give you the top
answer to today's Battle of the Sexist question. One hundred
women were asked to name an animal known for its
jumping abilities. Name an animal known for its jumping abilities. Honestly,
(29:26):
as long as it's not some sort of jumping spider,
I don't care, because I don't even if it's not poisonous.
The second that a spider jumps and you don't know
where it's at anymore is the moment you start freaking out.
Every one of us, does it all right? Your chance
at these dude perfect tickets. One hundred women were asked
name an animal known for its jumping abilities six one six,
four five eight, one oh five seven. That's four five eight,
(29:49):
one oh five seven? Block morning?
Speaker 5 (29:52):
Sorry? Who's this ticket?
Speaker 9 (29:53):
Corey?
Speaker 2 (29:54):
Corey?
Speaker 5 (29:54):
Where are you at this morning?
Speaker 9 (29:56):
I'm the don junder and rabbit?
Speaker 5 (29:57):
Hi, Corey, gotta tell me what?
Speaker 2 (29:58):
One hundred women were asked name and type of animal
that is known for.
Speaker 5 (30:02):
Its jumping abilities. What do you think? The top answer
was I'm gonna go with a rabbit.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
You're gonna go with a rabbit? Yeah, hopping down the
bunny trail. But a rabbit is the number four most
common answer. I'm sorry, I think thanks Corey, Good morning star.
Speaker 5 (30:21):
Who's this Leslie? I just got a great guest from Corey? What?
Speaker 2 (30:25):
One Hundred women were asked to name an animal that
is known for its jumping abilities. She said are rabbits
and that was the number four most common answer, but
not the top ones.
Speaker 5 (30:34):
So what do you think it is? Leslie?
Speaker 4 (30:35):
All right? With kangaroo?
Speaker 2 (30:37):
You're going with kangaroo? Not related to its jumping abilities,
I don't think. But why is it that every time
you see a video or a picture of a kangaroo.
They look like they're in the gym five days a
week doing curls and bench presses because they're always ripped.
Every time you see a kangaroo, it's super muscular.
Speaker 4 (30:56):
Yeah, they look very scary.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
You definitely don't want to go toe to toe with one,
I don't think, but they can certainly jump pretty dang
hi kangaroos.
Speaker 5 (31:05):
That's not answer where to go?
Speaker 1 (31:07):
Oh my gosh, I plenty we can be closed by it.
Speaker 5 (31:09):
Yeah, I know how old are your boys?
Speaker 2 (31:11):
They are nine? And yeah I got a nine year
old and he loves Dude Perfect. They are gonna have
an absolute blast. Mom, you're the coolest today. Congrats you
so much. You're very welcome. And yeah, more Dude Perfect
tickets coming again tomorrows. We'll get you hooked up. Battle
of the Sex is eight fifteen here on Star Wino
five point seven selling a fine point seven.
Speaker 5 (31:34):
Good morning to you.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
It's Mac and Schmitty. I mentioned it in a second ago, Smitty,
we all saw that aerobics fitness icon Richard Simmons got
buried in the only uniform I can picture him in.
I can't even picture Richard Simmons in any Simmons in
any other clothes than his iconic tank top and shorts.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
I mean, it'd be really sad if he wasn't buried
in that.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
I mean, yes, I actually, I guess I'm a little
surprised that they put him in it. But it is
an iconic look for sure, And it got me to
thinking about what are the things people would associate with
your look? What are what is the thing that if
your family was tasked with giving you your signature look,
what would it definitely include? Because I asked my wife
(32:15):
and kids this last night, and immediately my son he
just goes typical. He's like baseball hat. He's like he'd
be wearing a baseball hat for sure. I'm like, there's
a good chance I'd be throwing on a hat there.
But my wife from left field goes, oh, obviously, holes
in your socks. This zero Your signature look does not
include at least your big toe hanging right out of
(32:37):
that bed.
Speaker 4 (32:37):
But news, I mean, if it's a casket situation, that
part's closed, you don't even have to have socks on.
Speaker 5 (32:43):
That's true. A barefoot in the afternoon.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
I could no, no, no, no, My hair would be
in a bun one hundred and ten percent would.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
But the problem is is that you're not there. I
don't know that anyone would be able to recreate the
Schmitty bun that you are, that you do like that's
it's not only your it's not only your calling guard,
it's also your superpower.
Speaker 5 (33:03):
So that's tough.
Speaker 4 (33:03):
I think I would probably wear it every day like
that and.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
Sleep like that. So if I did indeed pass in
some peaceful manner, my hair would already be in a buh.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
My grandmother right now is smiling right now? Who is
in the hospital doing her hair before going in for surgery?
Speaker 1 (33:18):
No, are those pearly gates looking anything less than presentable?
Speaker 2 (33:22):
Okay, okay, so what about like fashion faux pause in
the afterlife? Then Schmitty Because I looked at our Facebook
page right now, and first off, Melissa's just like you,
lagging's T shirt, hair and.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
A bun gotta be comfy.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
She's going comfy. But uh abby, no my crocs. Okay,
if socks and crocks is not allowed, then certainly crocks
and caskets can't go happy, can't.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
We just don't think those are holding up in the
fashion world, my girl. But also, who are you to
care you're dead?
Speaker 5 (33:50):
It's true?
Speaker 2 (33:50):
Would you like though a fashion sin right before you
kick the buget? It seems like a bad time. Schmitty,
I don't know. We've got this up on Facebook. What
would be your signature look if picked by your family?
Go ahead at West Michigan Starn.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
Does I get a good fee?
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Well, we're always here to just make you day a
little bit better. Feeling good right now and starting to
five point seven Mac and Schmitty hanging out.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
I am so envious that my husband and kids are
going up to the Up this weekend because Michigan's Upper
Peninsula has officially been voted the best place to see
fall colors in all of the United States.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
That's right.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
It is so gorgeous in God's country. The USA Today
article just came out, giving the Up the coveted crown
of over very big spots, including East Coast places like
upstate New York, Vermont. We've beat New Hampshire, and this weekend,
they say, is when it's really gonna start hit hitting peak,
(34:53):
especially on that east end.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
Up Travel said this was voted on by.
Speaker 4 (34:57):
Explorers, nature enthusiasts, lovers of vibrant fall landscapes. The UP
has an absolutely unmatched beauty during autumn, the perfect place
to planning fall color tour, best in America.
Speaker 5 (35:12):
That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
I like hanging our hat on that, SCHMITTI, especially since
it's the UP, which is essentially just Michigan's hat. But
how happy is your husband that they're going for like
peak culture exactly?
Speaker 4 (35:22):
That's what I meant, Like, I'm so envious they're going
this weekend because it's supposed to be just jaw.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
Dropping up there.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
All right, well, Schmitty, I just saw, of course, the
twenty twenty five Riverbank Run registration just went live for
that today. Of course, if you're planning on running, might
I suggest you maybe run next to a doctor after
this story?
Speaker 5 (35:40):
You might just want to because the New.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
Jersey Half Marathon and Newport just went down at the
end of September and Shane Naiad was running. He's an
emergency room doctor, and man did all of his skills
in organizing what an emergency room is supposed to be
doing at every moment come in handy because Crystal Reinhold
fell to the ground about halfway through the race right
(36:03):
in front of him. Being the medical professionally is. He
of course rushed to help her, and he said she
could barely speak and barely breathing, and she said, I
think I'm dying. That's when he basically turned this half
marathon into his own personal emergency room.
Speaker 5 (36:16):
Schmitty.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
He got other runners and gave them instructions to call
nine one one. He got a police officer to secure
the scene until the medic tent what was happening.
Speaker 5 (36:25):
He then had a medic rush over there.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
Thought that Crystal could be suffering from low blood sugar
and that could quickly lead to a cardiac arrest. So
he hooked her up with a glucose jelpack right there
on the race route and got her partner on the
phone to continue to talk to her and encourage her
while she's getting medical.
Speaker 5 (36:43):
Treatment on the road.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
Then, when the ambulance finally showed up, he actually stayed
with her for a while, made sure she was stable,
and then he finished the race.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
Yeah, oh crasse, he did.
Speaker 5 (36:54):
Seven miles more. Afterwards, he goes and finishes the race. Miitty.
People like this just they make me a little ill
because I just can't hang.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Like, have you ever gone to the Amway riverbank?
Speaker 7 (37:04):
Run.
Speaker 4 (37:04):
It's usually the winner of the five k that then
runs and wins the ten k.
Speaker 5 (37:08):
Just blows my mind. No, can't do it all right.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Feeling good comes at you comple times a day to
tell you about people doing amazing things out there, are
great things happening. We'll do it again for you tomorrow,
six forty five and nine twenty every weekday here on
Star Mack and Schmidty in the morning weekday starting at
six am on Star one oh five point seven
