Speaker 1 (00:03):
Wake up. It gets my day going and makes me laugh.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
I of it.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Mac and Schmidty in the morning on Star one oh
five point seven. Oh, good morning, Vitty, Good morning. Welcome
into your Thursday, which we lovingly referred to as week.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Indeed, movies, music and all the gossip in one place.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
It's the celebrities gooop on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Well, I think we all had a collective shock when
this news broke yesterday afternoon. Former One Direction singer Liam
Payne then after falling from his hotel balcony in Argentina. Now,
several witnesses at the hotel where he was staying in
Buenos Aires say that Liam fell from his room on
the third floor of the Casasour Palermo hotel. Apparently it
(00:51):
happened shortly after five pm local time, and Liam had
been acting very erratic in the hotel lobby earlier. He
smashed his laptop and actually had to be carried back
to his room. Police and first responders were on scene.
Liam had apparently been an Argentina for a Nile Horran
concert that happened just a couple of weeks ago. The
one D bandmate's actually reuniting at the show. Now, this
(01:15):
is not anything he's been disclosed about. He's been very
open about his struggles with alcohol, prescription drug addiction, and
mental health. A lot of that triggered by fame that
came so quickly with one direction. In an update overnight,
authorities say that Liam and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy arrived
in the country back on September thirtieth, lots of social
(01:37):
media posts showing the two together, and while she left
a few days ago, Liam stayed behind someone at the hotel,
calling nine one one to report an aggressive mail in
the hotel lobby. Unfortunately, it is not yet but confirmed
about whether this was accidental or intentional. Liam was only
thirty one. He has a seven year old son. Oh yeah,
(02:00):
I'm just really shocking to hear. I'll have celebrity reaction
in your next scoop, the stars of Napoleon Dynamite dropping
by a Missouri diner, once again, igniting rumors that we've.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
Got a sequel on the way.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
John's Waffle and Pancake House Go, owned by Donna Ramadani,
tells me that or tells us that the threesome came
in that includes John Heater, Eprin Ramirez and John Greyce
bellying up to the counter for lunch as soon as
customers realized it it took a while. She said that
they were so lovely they granted photos and autographs before
(02:37):
leaving a quite large tip. The three were passing through
for a Q and a screening of their movie in Arkansas,
and had recently discussed the idea of a sequel, with
at least Eprin, telling Collider magazine everyone wants a sequel,
and I can say legally the door is not yet
(02:57):
closed on that.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Hollywood loves and they love a sequel. So I'm sure
that they'll ruin Napoleon dynamite by coming out with some.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Napoleon dynamite. I disagree.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Finally, Cynthia Arrivo has had enough of the fan edits
surrounding the upcoming Wicked movie. The actress who plays Alphaba
in the highly anticipated film, issued a statement to her
Instagram yesterday after fans edited the movies poster to look
more like the one used for the Broadway musical. This
(03:30):
is also not the first time that she has dealt
with a lot of what she calls aggressive and offensive
behavior from fans. She writes, this is the wildest, most
offensive thing I've ever seen, equal to that awful ai
of us fighting, equal to people posing the question is
your bleep green? None of this is funny, none of
(03:52):
this is cute. It degrades me, It degrades us. The
original poster is an illustration. I'm a real human being
who show to look right down the barrel of the
camera to you, the viewer, because without words, we communicate
with our eyes. Our poster is an homage, not an imitation.
To edit my face and hide my eyes is to
erase me. That is simply deeply hurtful. I gotta look
(04:16):
at these photos. Did they kind of just take away
her individuality from the posters that are in them?
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Is that? What was she?
Speaker 5 (04:23):
So?
Speaker 3 (04:23):
The movie poster has her looking straight at the camera.
If you're like familiar with the Broadway poster, it's got
the witch's hat down over her eyes, and she's just
but this is one of just so many really offensive
things she's dealt with after announcing she was going to
play this character.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
I love the movie poster. However, it's still going to
be wildly successful.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
Get this.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Fandango reports this movie is the year's number two best
preseller behind Deadpool and Wolverine.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Wied's massive.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
It's going to be a hit. All of your celeb
scoop at West Michigan Star dot.
Speaker 6 (04:56):
Com sometime does that get a good feeling.
Speaker 1 (05:01):

shame feeling good right now? And Star went a fine
points Sabin. It's Mac and Schmidty and you know one
of our favorite florists in West Michigan, Schmidti doing something
really cool again this year, and I just wanted to
highlight how awesome this was yesterday at downtown Grand Rapids.
Big shout out to Eastern Floral once again partnering with
(05:22):
the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan for the annual
Pedal It Forward events. This is really cool. It's a
nationwide event, so literally tens and thousands of flowers are
given out to people all over the country, and yesterday
that included downtown Grand Rapids where staff from Eastern Floral
passed out two bouquets of flowers to people just walking
down the street. They gave out this check it out
(05:44):
almost a thousand bouquets give it away.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
And their Eastern Flora booquase. They're real nice.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
They're really nice, just a great way to lift spirits
and spread a little kindness. So I wanted to shout
them out. Eastern Flora's been a great partner of ours
over the years, and I know you you've done some
great things.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
With d ladies and gentlemen. That holiday open house is
coming up, and you know I'm going to be there
to do all my Christmas shoppings.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Big shout out to that last All.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Right, there's a new place where Grand Rapids families in
need can turn to you for kids clothing and other
necessary items. And it's all thanks to one beautiful Bousha.
Jackson Street Hall officially opened it's Bousha Boutique this week
in the back of the hall. The project the idea
of last year's Busha Queen, Lucy Preston. If you've never
(06:28):
made it to Pulaski Days, you know that Bousha is
Grandma and as well as the Pulaski Queen, we have
the Bousha Queen and she came up with this great
idea because she saw a true need in the community
and she thought it'd be great to be able to
have moms, kids, families come in and get things like clothing, diapers, formula,
taking just under a year to get the space, gather
(06:50):
all the goods and get everything organized in on display.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
She tells what TV.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
This was an entire community effort of people loving on
this idea.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
A lot of volunteers for this hall.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
My husband and a lot of vendors that helped volunteer
time and money and supplies. They all loved the cause
and said let's.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
Let's do it.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
I just less have it looked nice and clean and fresh.
You know, as we go along, we'll add our little
Busha touch, which means Grandma a.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
Little busha touch.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
By the way, if you were interested in learning more,
this opens right in time for the cold months, so
Lucy says, they've got tons of winter coats, boots, hats,
scarves that have been donated. If you know a family
that might really be able to use this, I will
put up all the info. The boutique is opened by
appointment only, so you can check it out at West
Michigan Star dot com.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
All right, bousha for grandma. Do you know what grandpa is?
Just out of curiosity, Hey.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Don't, but great Grandma is Bobca because that's what my
kids used to call their great grandma.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
I got my wife's family's all Skis and I'm surprised
they don't want to go with Busha for Grandma.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
They don't call bushaes me. My kids called Grandma Bousha.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
I feel like I missed opportunity.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
Movies, music and all the gossip.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
In one place. It's the celebrities goop on Star one
oh five point seven.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Well, the biggest news this morning the passing of One
Direction star Liam Payne, dead after a fall from his
hotel balcony in Argentina. The singer passing away yesterday. Several
witnesses at the hotel where he was staying in Buenos
Aires say Liam fell from his room on the third
floor of where he was staying at the Casasaur Palermo hotel.
(08:29):
Sources say that Liam and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy arrived
in Argentina on September thirtieth, posting tons of social media
picks together look to be having a really fun vaca.
Kate actually left a few days ago while Liam decided
to stay checked in. We're told the nine to one
one call came in reporting an aggressive mail in the
hotel lobby. Now, this is very interesting. Apparently he was
(08:53):
acting quite erratically. He smashed his laptop, actually had to
be carried back to his room, and then that's when
authorities received a call about what had happened. This is
really sad. Liam only thirty one years old. He'd been
struggling with issues in the last few days related to
his ex fiance Maya Henry, so A source says that
(09:16):
he was extremely overwhelmed by all of the legal issues. Henry,
in fact, had just issued a cease and desist order
to the singer after she alleges he was repeatedly contacting
her and she needed to cut off all contact. Some
sad celebrity tributes, with Charlie Pooth posting Liam was always
so kind to me, one of the first major artists
(09:38):
I got to work with. Cannot believe he has gone Paris.
Hilton sending love and condolences to Liam's family even heard
from Zed I cannot believe this is real, absolutely heartbreaking,
But the one that I think really got fans. Last night,
Harry Styles's mom posted an Instagram picture of the broken
heart emoji, just writing just aboy dot dot dot broken
(10:02):
heart thirty one and he leaves behind his seven year
old son Bear.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah, that's just crushing. Definitely going to be something that
continues to have details come out about. But man, yesterday
I was grossed out by TMZ.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
And so we'll talk about that next hour in scoop yep.
That's coming up with some other details. Very terrifying moment
for Nick Jonas in the Czech Republic the other night,
sprinting off stage mid concert.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
It's very very scary.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
So at one point, everything seems fine, the brothers are
on tour over in Prague and he was hitting every
Now all of a sudden, he froze at the piano,
jumps up and sprints off stage, nearly bowling over security.
It turns out it looks like at one point, not
sure if this was a camera or a prank, but
(10:51):
a little red dot lands on Nick's forehead.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Oh wow, looking like the scope of a gun.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
And he was not taking any chances, I mean, up
and off that stage in about a second. His two
brothers eventually joined him. Organizers said the disruption lasted several minutes,
but there was no actual threat. The boy band did
eventually return to stage to finish the set without further incident.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
You want to see a trend that definitely needs to
not happen at concerts, it's that one right there, because
that will ruin every single show you can think of.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
I mean, you won't get shows.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
I'm not going to be an artist that's going on
tour facing terrifying moments like that. I do have the
video for you at West Michigan Star dot com. Finally,
Jason Kelsey, being the favorite brother, had quite an r
rated reaction to Travis Kelcey's wardrobe choice for his date
night out in New York City over the weekend with
(11:47):
Taylor Swift latest episode of the New Heights podcast. Jason
not holding back about that very interesting cowboy shirt?
Speaker 1 (11:57):
What in the world was the shirt?
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Though?
Speaker 7 (11:59):
We got show this, I don't, I have no idea.
I think it's just art. I think it's just people.
And then there's a horse.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
I don't know what's underneath that horse. I'm not sure.
I didn't.
Speaker 7 (12:10):
I didn't really look at this shirt like that when
I got it. I just like the color and the
patterns and stuff. It looks like a hand, It's like
a pointing finger like that. It's kind of cropped funny,
but that I mean on this picture it kind of
appears like it's a horse.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
That'd be crazy.
Speaker 7 (12:26):
That's why you always gotta you always gotta really, you know,
you gotta make sure you know what you're wearing.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
Kids.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
It's an interesting design.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
If you haven't seen the shirt, I've got a picture
for you at West Michigan Star dot com, where you
will find all of your.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Celebsky good morning to you. It's Mack and Schmidty. And
you know, it is a terrible feeling losing your phone.
The way you lost it sounds well clean, I guess.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
So I have like never lost my phone. I know,
I get to I get too afraid at how much
that cost. Like I'm so hyper aware and responsible of
like where my phone is if I'm out making sure
that it's in like my zip up clutch something. I
get so nervous about losing my phone, which is why
this was such a weird moment, because they don't often
(13:15):
misplace it. And it was on Monday, so my kids
and my husband had gotten home from the up so
they were just piles and piles of laundry. They'd been
up there for like five days, and so they dropped
everything off right by the washing machine, and I'm looking
through everything I need to get ready for the week.
And I'm really really bad about laundry. If you listen
(13:35):
to the show, you know this. I tend to just
kind of pick up my pile of stuff and toss
in the washing machine. I pretty much washed clothes the
exact same way I did in college. So I started
the cycle. Everything's good, and then I'm looking everywhere in
the living room because I was gonna sit down and
do a bunch of work. I'm like, where's my phone?
And I checked by all my super normal spots, and
(13:56):
it gets to the point where I'm like, oh, this
is annoying. I know my Ringer's on, so I'm like, Chris,
can you call me? My phone calls it, I don't
hear it. I'm like, where in the world would I
have set this down. I'm looking under blankets, couch cushions.
I'm asking the kids if maybe they took it. And
then all of a sudden, from his office, my husband goes,
wasn't in your pile of laundry, was it? And I
gotta tell you, I ran track.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
In high school.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Ain't no way I ran as fast as I did
from one end of the house to the other to
jump into action, pause.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
That cycle, and who thank the Lord.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
There it was right at the top of my still
tippy top dry laundry, so it had not gotten any
water damage. But I'm like, oh my sweet phone Lord,
if that had gone, I mean, there would have been
no way. I don't care how waterproof these companies sayd
these phones are. There ain't no way that thing is
surviving a spin cycle. And so I posted on Facebook
(14:49):
about the worst or funniest place that you've lost your phone.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
I mean, Laurie feels me. In the pools.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
There's so many pool losses. Remember back in the day
when phones just came out and like you could.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
Not stick in your Nokia and Rice.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Nothing brought that back, Lisa. The restaurant where I used
to work, got home, realized they didn't have it, had
to drive twenty minutes back to work. I've done that
like twice. That is the worst Christopher, I feel you man,
lost my phone in my hand?
Speaker 4 (15:19):
Have you done over and over and over it all?
Speaker 1 (15:22):
I've just stomping your way through the house looking for
that thing.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
It's like when you put the glasses on the top
of your head and you can't find them, and you're
just like, ooh, this might be the start of old
age movies.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
Music and all the gossip in one place.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
The shocking news still being talked about this morning the
passing of One Direction star Liam Payne, dead after a
fall from his third floor hotel balcony in Argentina yesterday.
Fans showing up to the Casasaur Palermo hotel where he
had been checked in to give their own version of
tribute to the singer passing away yesterday night local time.
(16:06):
It's very interesting the details that were starting to learn.
Someone at the hotel called nine one one to report
an aggressive mail in the hotel lobby just hours before
this happened. Apparently he was acting very erratically. He smashed
his laptop, Liam having to be carried back to his room,
with police and first responders still at the hotel this
(16:27):
morning continuing this investigation. He was only thirty one years old,
and I know we had talked briefly about it last hour,
but a lot of publications, especially TMZ, facing major heat
this morning for originally publishing pictures of his body, saying
that it was confirmed as you could see some tattoos
(16:48):
on his forearm and his torso those were eventually deleted
because of all the controversy around it. A red tent
has since been put up as that investigation continues. Now,
what led to this, There's a lot of different things
that happened for Liam over this week. Especially, he'd been
in Argentina's in September thirtieth with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy.
She left a few days ago, but he was definitely
(17:09):
struggling with legal issues related to his ex Beyonce Maya Henry,
who just days ago had served him with a cease
and desist order for allegedly contacting and stalking her, and
he's been having a really really hard time with that.
Now the nine to nine to nine call, that's nine
one one overseas has been released. I don't particularly want
(17:29):
to play it, but it's just really really sad. He
leaves behind a seven year old son named Bear, and
there are lots of celebrity tributes that are pouring in
this morning.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
You know the part that makes me mad, Schmidti is
obviously it's just a terrible tragedy all the way around.
I feel so bad that I'm sure some of his
family and friends and of course fans having to find
out about it while seeing those gruesome photos online before,
like they're even notified by authorities or anything else like that,
especially respective.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Well, that's not the case. They were taken down in minutes.
I mean, they were only as I understand it. I
went to the story within like a couple minutes of
seeing it, and those pictures were no longer there because
the comments section blew up immediately. But it's going to
be just really sad. Obviously, arrangements and things like that
the family really hasn't even had a chance to think
(18:18):
about just yet. This is wild to watch. The Menendez
saga continues. Nearly two dozen relatives of Lyle and Eric
Mendez united in La yesterday to urge the DA to
recommend the brothers be resentenced. This is Karen vandermol and
she is the niece of their late mother, Kitty Menendez.
Speaker 6 (18:42):
We live in a time now where we understand what
trauma does to the brain development of a child. If
Lyle and Eric's trial happened today, the outcome would be
drastically different. Lyle and Eric have spent most of their
lives in prison for their actions. During that time, they
(19:03):
have become supporters and advocates for children who have suffered
sexual violence.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
I believe they have suffered enough.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
So this comes after La County DA George Gascon said
yesterday a decision on the case of the brothers will
come down within the next ten days. A lot of
this pertains to some evidence that came out later on.
In the fact, there is a letter that was written
to a cousin months before the murders that they say
(19:33):
shows this abuse should have been a part of that
second trial. Now, as for Gasconn, when asked do you
think they should be released, he said, I don't believe
they should die in prison.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
That's an interesting response.
Speaker 4 (19:48):
Very much so.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
Speaking of another wild legal case, shocking events yesterday, in
a nearly thirty year old trial, the judge who presided
over the murder case of Michael Jordan's father, James Jordan,
has asked parole officers to release his convicted killer, saying
he's afraid the wrong guy is behind bars. This is
(20:10):
retired Judge Gregory Weeks. He oversaw the nineteen ninety six
murder trial of Michael's dad, petitioning the North Carolina State
Parole Board to call on the Commission to release Daniel Green.
This is the man who has found guilty of killing
Michael's dad. He said a forensic blood expert failed to
disclose key findings during the trial, evidence that could cast
(20:31):
a serious doubt as to whether Green even did this crime.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
I find this so unbelievably fascinating in the sense that
you know, you've got the conviction. It's been almost thirty
years now. Michael Jordan, I'm sure has somewhat, you know,
moved on and thought. I wonder how he feels about all.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Oh, this has to be so triggering. Can you imagine
to think that there's potential that your father's killer is
still out there. You've got a lot to keep you
updates it on latest with your scoop at West Michigan Star.
Speaker 4 (21:03):
Dot com.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Point seven. What do you say we fight? Right now?
It's Battle of the Sexes and it is your chance
to go see the incredible, high flying, artistic, acrobatic and
mind blowing wringling Brothers Ampartment Bailey Schmidti.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Oh my gosh, if you've seen the preview video, this
is a brand new, Greatest show on Earth. We've got
four tickets for your family if you can get today's
number one answer. One hundred women surveyed, what job do
you associate with teenagers?
Speaker 1 (21:32):
You know what, they're always the gatekeepers of the water slides,
Smitty at the top of every great water slide sits
a teenager with a great tan who's out there all
summer long, and the end of their day, every day
ends with them getting to ride a water slide. I'm
pretty jealousy, to be.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
Honest, any chance I get to bring it up. The
high schoolers working at the Rockford Taco Bell are some
of the greatest business people I have ever come into
contact with. Orders, never wrong, always served with a smile,
and I just want to give my love to them
real quick. Six months, four five eight, one oh five seven.
One hundred women surveyed, what job do you associate with teenagers?
Speaker 4 (22:06):
All our seven you got that number one answer.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
You're going to see the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey,
but Star, good morning Star.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Who's this? Scotti and Jojo Scotty and Jojo. Let's see
if we can get this done for you here, U Jojo?
How old are you?
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Eight?
Speaker 1 (22:21):
Has your dad got your working hard. Yet you're making
some money for the fam or what? And I call you?
How about you, Scotty? What was the first job you
had as a teenager?
Speaker 2 (22:31):
I worked at a restaurant, worked.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
In a restaurant. Yeah, I did a little bit of
that myself. But now we got a chance to see
if you can win these Ringling Brothers in Barnum and
Bailey tickets. Guys, you got to tell me what. One
hundred women were asked what jobs do you associate with teenagers?
What do you think? Their top answer was baby sitting? Man.
That answer came out real click, Jojo. Are you looking
forward to doing some babysitting and making that cash in
(22:55):
just a few years? Okay? Bank Sometimes what a responsible
young lady you are. I believe you deserve a reward.
Babysitting's the top answer. Congratulations, guys. Yeah, you're going to
Ringling Brothers in Barnam and Bailey, the greatest show on earth?
Are you ready to go have some fun? Jojo?
Speaker 8 (23:15):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
Happy to hook you up. Guys. It was babysitting followed
by fast food. You had a lot of those cashier
and a job the teenagers used to have not so
much anymore. Paper routes, paper route running out those top answers.
We'll do it again tomorrow. Battle of the Sexes eight fifteen.
You're on Star Wars five point sad. Good morning to you.
It's Mack and Schmidty. And you know we had our
first and only freeze warning of the year earlier we've
(23:39):
seen Tempson the thirties over ninth a few days in
a row, Schmitty, and it has begun in my house,
especially with my eleven year old daughter. I don't want
to wear a coat. It's not cold, it's not coold.
Speaker 3 (23:50):
I thought this morning was the coldest we've ever had.
I had to scrape my car. Really, I had to
scrape this morning. I parked outside on the driveway.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Yeah, did you bust out the credit card?
Speaker 3 (23:58):
I had the thing, But it was thirty four when
I drove in. Yes, winter time exactly. So last night
I wanted to go for a walk. I got hung
up with some football practice and stuff like that, so
it was way dark by the time I was getting
ready to go on my walk, and my daughter wanted.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
To come with me. And she's in shorts. Okay, she's
in shorts in a hoodie because just the day before this,
I thought i'd figured this out. My wife and my
daughter we're going back and forth about bringing a coat
to school, blah blah blah, and I go, guys, here's
the simple rule. Let's just do it this way. Above
forty five degrees, your choice, your consequences. Below forty five degrees,
(24:36):
no choice. You gotta wear a coat in long sleeves.
Seem reasonable, okay? Nah? Apparently not, because we went to
go last night and she's wearing shorts. It's cold outside,
and she's like, Alexa, what's the temperature outside? It's forty
nine degrees. See, I don't have to wear my coat.
I don't have to change in pants. Dad, your roles,
your roles.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
Negotiate with a terrorist. I don't know why you thought.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
You could throw it right back in my face, schmitty.
Did you do this as a girl? Did you do
this to your parents?
Speaker 4 (25:06):
I've said, it's not even me as a kid.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
I know, I know right now, I know Megan, Elizabeth
and Kate are all listening right now, going she doesn't
wear a coat as a grown woman for a girls night,
and they will be like, you are so ridiculous, be
a grown up and put on layers.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
So I asked the question on Facebook if people had
any secrets to getting through this battle schmitty, and I
was honestly shocked by how many moms and dads just said,
there is no battle, just let them get just let
him suffer.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Thank you, Stacy, thank you Trisha, thank you Stacey.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
Thanks Janelle. That's exactly how I'm gonna do it.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
I about lost my mind the other morning because I
went and I saw Will come home from school and
he was in shorts, and I'm like, Chris, dude, He's like.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
I know, I know, I know, but all of this
pants are in the wash and I didn't realize it.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
I'm like, it was I was like forty nine, I
think it was like Tuesday, and there he is in
shorts and like a zip up.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
Yeah, it is ridiculous, Schmitti. And also to each and
every one of the parents on our Facebook at West
Michigan Star who wrote in there there is no battle.
You're the parent, take charge. Okay, come on, I'm just
telling y'all.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
When my kids were a little little like toddler status,
I just walked around with the coat in my hand
and said I tried to everyone that walked past.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Sometime. Does that get a good feel? All right, schminne
move it a little bit late, but you know what,
we'll make up for that by having this feel extradie
feeling good on startwin on five point seven. What's going on?
Speaker 3 (26:39):
Well, we know goal Lions is something you hear across
West Michigan a lot, really, the entire state of Michigan,
maybe the NFC north of How good we are.
Speaker 4 (26:47):
But how about the Netherlands.
Speaker 3 (26:49):
Ah, our wonderful friend Miranda overseas as we speak, with
Fifth Third Bank and Tomb of Time to visit the
Netherlands and uncover those cultural connections between Tulip Time and
its home country.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
This is really cool though.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Miranda got to meet Ebo and his family and introduce
them to a traditional American style Lions tailgate Evil.
Speaker 8 (27:13):
Thank you for letting us take over your kitchen. We've
got burgers, We've got chili, We've got bacon for the burgers.
I mean that's American. I gotta be honest. You even
found American sliced cheese.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Yep, that's what it melts best on the burger rights.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
But we have veggies. We got salad. We got couton,
I mean brownie, so we got everything blended in for
a great deal gate party.
Speaker 8 (27:37):
Have you ever seen a hamburger this big?
Speaker 4 (27:40):
No?
Speaker 8 (27:42):
All right, So what we do is I mean, if
you are like me, you're a diehard Lions fan, and
you don't just say good Lions, you say.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Go I love it. Say it in Dutch, Come ob Lions.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
It just sounds better, doesn't it. The video is so good.
You got to see this spread West Michigan Star dot
com and make sure you're here tomorrow morning because at
nine forty five, Miranda is still joining us with your
five star family fun. But she's live from the Netherlands
with some really cool stuff to talk about.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
I mean, the bandwagon's got plenty of room for international fans. Schmitdi,
I love that all right. You know what, when we
get into wintertime, it's gonna be like a little more
tropical than usual. And it's all thanks to one senior
at Caledonia High School. Her name is Josie d and
she is quite the artist and actually just got to
paint one of those giant snowplow blades for m dot's
(28:34):
Paint the Plow program. This is really cool maintenance cruise
actally actually picked up the plow just yesterday at her school.
Fox seventeen was on hand to ask Josie the artist
exactly why she chose this beat scene, and I think
a lot of us can relate to her answer.
Speaker 5 (28:48):
I was thinking about spring break. I'm gonna be honest,
I hate winter. I think winter is so ugly and
I just don't like snow. So I was like, maybe
other people feel the same way. So this is like
a reminder that spring is around the corner.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Ah. Yeah, light at the end of the tunnel, right,
Schmitty big time? All right, Well, it's really cool. I'll
put the picture up of her amazing artwork that you'll
see hopefully out a plow around West Michigan this winter
up at West Michigan Star on Facebook and Instagram. I'm
always here to provide a little sunshine for you though.
Feeling good again Tomorrow six forty five and nine twenty
