Speaker 1 (00:02):
Wake, wakem It gets my day going and makes me laugh.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
I love it. Mac and Schmitty in the Morning on
Star one on five point seven. Way, good morning, Smitty, Hey,
good morning, welcome back.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Yeah, why would you choose to come back to this, nuns.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
That's only because I got to eat and pay bills,
because honestly, it ain't eighty five and sunny here. Well,
but you know what I missed you guys. Uh back
from a little time in Florida was so fun, just good.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Uh hey, let me ask you real quick. Was it
weird to watch a super Bowl? No?

Speaker 3 (00:34):
You didn't. You guys were back in time.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Yeah, we got back Sunday nights we watched here.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
I was gonna say, watching a super Bowl in eighty
degree weather by a pool sounds like a dream that
I've never experienced ever in my life.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
No, but now it's incredible, Oh so much. It's so
dark here, you guys. Honestly, I cannot wait to hit
like April May because it was a nice little, uh
little pregame of what hopefully we'll have in a few weeks.
Because it was so so nice. Kid's first time flying, kids,
first time down south. So we've got a lot to
talk about today, because it was a really cool trip,

(01:06):
very memorable, if not for us, for the people sitting
on our plane, movies, music, and all the gossip in
one place.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Well, when you clap for Kid Rock, you better clap
pretty loud otherwise he's gone storm off stage. Have you
seen this video that's been getting some viral attention after
he abruptly ended his performance at bon Jovi's Bar in Nashville,
growing frustrated with not enough people clapping. So he was
attending bon Jovie keyboardist David Bryan's birthday over the weekend

(01:42):
and decided to start doing an incredible cover of CCR's
Proud Mary. Started to get the crowd into it, getting
him to clap along. Well, that just wasn't enough for
Kid Rock. I'll go and then completely stormed out of

(02:05):
the bar. If you all, if you're not gonna clap,
then I'm gone.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
It'll be so salty, Bob, Yeah, so little bit.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
It is not going over well with fans who even
big supporters have been like, Bro, this is a toddler move.
Let's not stage a tantrum and then walk out refuse
to go back on stage. By the way, now star
clap for me, Yeah, I guess you need to do
with kid Rock. Helen Mirren is in a new interview

(02:34):
with The Wall Street Journal talking just ahead of that
nineteen twenty three returning for a second season on Paramount Plus,
and is giving some very interesting insight into Harrison Ford
and how that twenty fifteen plane crash has actually completely
changed the way he acts. So, remember the two first

(02:55):
met on the Mosquito Coast, that nineteen eighty six movie
they played on screen, husband, and they haven't played that
together on the same set until now with nineteen twenty three,
and she noted working with him again she saw some
subtle differences, telling The Wall Street Journal something rather magical
happened to Harrison, especially with the history of you know,

(03:16):
being the dude, the fabulous action guy, the funny guy,
the cool guy. Now there is this open road to
his inner feelings, which he is absolutely unafraid of expressing.
It's just a true, quick, instinctive emotional reaction to things
without sentimentality, she said. Surviving that twenty fifteen crash, as
he's spoken to her about, has to do with these changes. Actually,

(03:39):
the first scene they were shooting together for nineteen twenty
three is in the aftermath of an ambush on the
Dutton family and he's being carried into the kitchen covered
in blood, and Harrison later told her this is how
I was after that accident, and it completely changed my world.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
You know, he's one of my all time favorites without
a doubt, and he is a versatile, accurate. You don't
really think of him in that way, but when you
see shows like what he does now with Jason Siegel
in like a show like Shrinking, like he's just such
a different guy.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Now, That's what Helen said, and it's all to do
with that plane crash. Finally, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts
is really basking in that past. Excuse me. After Super
Bowl win, of course, the MVP did what they all do,
hitting up Disney World, hanging out with Mickey Mouse, part

(04:26):
of the Big Parade yesterday afternoon, and sat down with
Sports Center last night to talk about that now viral
video of him on what I think is the Tron
ride looking terrified.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Your face is all over and you're like scared.

Speaker 5 (04:40):
I had a lot of anticipation on that one, So
I was I was expecting, expecting the twist and turns
and all that, but it was it was fun.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
It was fun.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
Yeah, treating his whole family to that big fun at
the House of Mouse. Next up he will be preparing
to head back to Philly for that giant celebration parade.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
A pretty incredible story for Jalen.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
Yes, well of your celeb scoop at West Michigan Star
dot Com.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Sometimes does I get a good feeling? Yeah, well, I'm
going to lift your experience on this Tuesday morning. Feeling
good on Star Wars five points seven Mackachmidy hanging out
and you know our Grand Rapids Griffins always stepping up
to do things in our community, but they did it
in a brand new way last night, which was really cool.
So well, still swinging sticks though. The Griffins held their

(05:25):
very first ever Winter Golf Classic last night, where fans
from around West Michigan got to golf with some of
those Griffins players over at Maple Hill Golf And best
of all, it was all to raise money, with proceeds
going to the Griffins Youth Foundation and the first Tea
of West Michigan. Some of the stars of the Griffins
on hand, like Josiah Diddler, the defenseman for the Griffins

(05:46):
and Griffin's goalie sometimes Red Wings goalie Sebastian Kosa chatting
with Fox seventeen about how great our community is in
addition to just always wanting to step up for the
kids here at West Michigan.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Is amazing here in Grand Rapids.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
You know, it's it means.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
A lot to us.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
You know, it's before we get at games, you know,
any sort of function that we do, whether it's this
here at Gimmes.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
You know, this great golf function raising money, and or
you know just out of the Great Skate and just
all different community events around the city.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
You know, the fans come out big for us, and
you know.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
We really appreciate the support. Cold high out the fans.

Speaker 5 (06:17):
And then obviously you know First Team, the Griffins, Youth Foundation,
stuff like that. It's it's awesome to you know, raise
raise awareness and raise some money for those foundations as well.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
So I just want to give those guys their due,
say go Griffins. Remember if you want to be cheering
them on as they play this season, We've got tickets
for you all season long, West Michigan Star dot com.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
All Right, I know we're officially post Super Bowl with
that big win for the Philadelphia's Philadelphia Eagles, but this
was so worth bringing up because Saquon Barkley is a
real proud dad, the running back sharing a voicemail he
got from his six year old daughter Jada ahead of
the big game. That is just the sweetest thing you'll

(06:59):
ever hear.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
I'm really, really very happy win, and I'm really thankful
that you been caring for your whole family. I know
you're gonna win, you don't It's okay. I'll always love you.
You really love you, probably literally.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Love you and your mother.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Clear we would always love you what you do.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
I'm sorry, but it's gotta be cool to hoist that
Lombardi Trophy. The bigger win has got to be you
as a parent getting a voicemail like that, everyone will
still love you. I'll still love you, mommy, You'll still
love you. Your mom and dad will still love you, and
thanking him for caring for their family, like this is
just the sweetest, really, is it?

Speaker 6 (07:46):
You know?

Speaker 2 (07:46):
I think we all have those voicemails that we get
from the people that we care most about. That you
just got to tuck into the back pocket and say forever. Right,
that's definitely one that he is going to have to
hold on.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Gus why he shared it. It's so good, I've got
to post it up at West Michigan Star dot com.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
All right, thanks for starting your day with us. We
always hope to make a little better with feeling good.
We'll do it again this morning at nine's waning.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Mac and Schmidt.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
He's feeling good. Open your day with positivity powered by
Overhead Door company of Grand Rapids on Star one oh
five point seven.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
Movies, music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
It's the Celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
Well, it's another very scary aviation situation. Vince Neil's private
jet involved in a deadly crash at an Arizona airport yesterday,
but the Motley Crue front man was not on the plane. However,
his girlfriend, who was traveling on the jet, did survive.
Alan Cobac is, Motley Cruz manager, saying Vince is safe,

(08:43):
confirming he was not on the plane. The incident happened
yesterday afternoon at Scottsdale Airport, Vince's plane crashing into another
jet after veering off a runway upon landing. Unfortunately, it
did kill one and left three hospitalized. As for Vince's girlfriend, Rain,
she was a board with her friend Ashley. Rain suffered

(09:06):
five broken ribs and was taken to the hospital alongside Ashley. Luckily,
the dogs they were traveling with survived the tragedy as well.
The manager saying the rockers heart goes out to the
victims of the families involved. He said the band does
plan to brainstorm ideas on how to help the victims' families.
As for the preliminary investigation, it appears that the left

(09:30):
main landing gear failed as the plane was landing, which
caused the fatal collision. The video is pretty terrifying.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
You know, it's a sad situation in another airline accident
that we've seen. And you know, do these things always
seem like they happen in groups to Yushmiddy, like when
something really big and horrific happens, like what we saw
with that airliner running into the helicopter going down, feels
since then it's just been one thing after another.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
But like, this isn't a group, This is like every
other day, I feel like we are hearing about an
av problem. So we will keep you updated as that
investigation continues. But again, vince Neil was not a bored
when that happened. Justin Baldoni says he needs some serious
time to heal from an intense year, admitting he's exhausted
and anxious from all the stress. And this was before

(10:17):
Lake Lively even launched her lawsuit. So again, this goes
back to the It Ends with Us movie, where Justin
was a co star and director alongside Blake. He actually
sat down for an interview on the podcast Gents Talk
podcast back in November, talking about calling up his friends

(10:37):
who are part owners of that Wayfarer Studios and just
how bad it has been.

Speaker 5 (10:43):
I sent this Texas morning, and I just said, I
love you both. I just need you to know I'm
not in the best place. I woke up at four
point thirty this morning. You know, my son's had the flu.
I'm not feeling great. My heart was racing. I'm noticing that,
you know, I'm having some anxiety. And when I check
in with myself, I realized that I just haven't given

(11:06):
myself the time to heal from this year that I needed.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
Now, remember this is an entire month before Blake launched
her lawsuits, so we didn't even know all of the
really salacious details about this. The footage was just made public,
and he says his family has been suffering immensely, his friends,
and he is just unable to really move on. Now

(11:30):
that we know everything, it does not look like twenty
twenty five is going to be any calmer of a
year for him.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Blooh, I can tell you one thing.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
I've never wanted to see a movie less Now I
think everybody goes that way.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
And finally, Kendrick Lamar jumping on a bold, not so
new fashion trend thanks to that Super Bowl halftime show
on Sunday. Yeah, the search for Flair jeans has increased
after he was spotted with every millennial girlies. They were
Selene by Heidi Slimmain jeans that check this out retail

(12:06):
for thirteen hundred bucks? Is it all fans going wild?
Writing I want to know why Kendrick is wearing my
high school girlfriend's jeans, another one saying I think Kendrick
Lamar's jeans are the real MVP. Love the cut and seriously, though,
are Kendrick's jeans from the American Eagles Women's Line Circle
two thousand and seven, because if so, can we wear

(12:28):
those again? That's right? The Flare jeans are back, ladies,
the hip hugging goodness. Let's break them all out because
I know y'all saved them.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
It was literally the first thing my wife said to
my daughter when the happened started.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Didst I do both? Where she goes? Look at Charlotte,
He's wearing Flare jeans too. Like that.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
I mean, I saw the best meme that had no
one Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl and had the
wet bottoms. Do you guys remember the wet bottoms of
our Flair jeans trying to like walk to your college
class in you're a Maria can Eagle knock off Birkenstock moccasins.
Oh so good. I've got some great reactions and some

(13:08):
dupe jeans. If you're looking with your scoof at West
Michigan start, I found Good.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Morning to you, Mack and Smitty hanging out on this
Tuesday morning. Welcome back, Smitty.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
Yeah, oh, it was such a nice time. I'm telling
you guys not to rub it in, but Sonny in
eighty four. It's it's coming for us, just not fast
enough because we got to head down to Florida. That's
where we've been the last few days. We were very
very lucky. My father in law and his wife lived
down just north of Orlando and bought us plane tickets

(13:37):
for a Christmas gain. So cool, really really kind. And
a big part of this was that my kids have
never flown before, and we thought, okay, I think they're
finally of the age, you know, and we didn't feel
as stressed out doing it as when they were babies.
So we flew to Florida. Let me tell you, there
were three different moments. I caught myself just hysterically laughing,

(14:00):
because if you go on a trip and watch everything
through a kid's eyes, it is so much better. And
so they were super stoked. We flew out of the
Ford Airport, which, by the way, is just the best.
I'm so lucky to have that.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
All the NonStop flights you want to bring here, please.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
Do gosh, I mean, just the new expansion, the new bells.
It was so simple. So we get through the airport
and the first thing, the first thing my son does
is he goes Wow, look at these floors, Like, I
don't because I guess they you know, they've got like
that kind of sparkly stone. They were really slick so

(14:39):
they could like pretend they were ice skating on us.
Oh mom, these floors. And I'm sitting there going, man,
this is going to be the greatest trip because it's
just going to be mind blow after.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Mind blows are good, buddy, just wait.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
So we get past the floors and then we go
to TSA, and he thought it was so sweet. Everybody
got to take their shoes off. He was like, whoa,
I wore a Pokemon socks and I'm like, they don't care,
so just take take your shoes off. It turns out
they didn't even need to take any kid under fourteen,
at least the TSA we had didn't have to take
the shoes off. Then we get into the airport. He

(15:17):
thinks it's amazing that you can have snacks.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Right stores everywhere.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
That they had a kid play area by the way,
Thank you, Ford Airport. It was so cool you just
stick it's right down from the founders. It's amazing. So
then we get all that done, we get on the plane,
which was also very cool. Because we let them know.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
I just love that you haven't even gotten I.

Speaker 4 (15:37):
Haven't gotten on the plane yet. So, as it turns out,
you guys, here's a little hack. You could just literally
take your kids in and buy a cheap ticket and
sit in the terminal all day, go.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
To lunch and bells. They got that new spot there.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
They'll have as much fun as actually going on a trip.
So we had mentioned to the flight attenant it was
their first flight. They got wings. Yeah, they got wings,
and they got to see the cockpit. So that was
really cool.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
Captain, shake their hands.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Yeah, they were just really lovely, really lovely crew. And
so then we sat down, got our seats, and everything
was set and then we take off. And we've been
trying to explain to the kids what a plane taking
off feels like because we go to the viewing area
all the time. I'd never been on one. Oh my lord.
We start to take off and willgles.

Speaker 6 (16:19):
Whoa whoa, whoa, whoa whoa hoo boy, oh boy, oh boy,
like at this level right so the entire plane can
hear it. We're on like, you know, just this little
guy to Orlando and he goes here we go everybody
buckled oh man and his sister who's sitting Chris and
Will are a seat right ahead of Sophia and I.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
So then Sophia is like copying everything, so she goes,
oh no, oh no, oh boy. I can see the
guy sitting in front of them like crying. He's laughing
so hard. Then we turn right and you can feel
kind of that tilt.

Speaker 6 (16:51):
Holy smokes, are we supposed to be doing this up front?

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Like yelling to the pilot and Chris is like, hey, buddy,
O get you know it's inside, says there's other people
on here. I can hear audible giggling in the back,
and he's just he is so floored by this. Finally
we land. We get to Florida. He loves the palm trees.
He's super excited. My father in law picks us up
and we get to where we're staying, which is a
fifty five plus community, okassing, and.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
They're not runny. For Will and Sophia, he.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Is blown away that everybody just drives golf carts around.
Do we get So we take a golf cart ride
and he's waving and everybody Sofia the entire time we're
in the golf cart just goes the whole time, could
be like a ten minute golf cart ride. That's where
the entire time my favorite thing. And like they love
to the pool. We got to see geck gos. They

(17:40):
were all about the get guest. But he must have
said at least three or four times a day. I
just can't believe there's places where it's summer all the time. Yeah,
and it was just such a cool trip, Like we
didn't do much, We just relaxed, We woke up in
the morning. He played legos out on the lunai. We swam.

(18:02):
I mean they were passed out, you know, cashed out
by eight. But it was just so cool to see
everything through their eyes and they were so thankful about everything.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
You know, we take for granted the fact that we've
got these you know, giant metal cans that got thirty
thousand feet into the air and fly hundreds of miles
an hour to transport us halfway around the world in
a matter of hours. But for a kid, they don't
miss any of that, right, Like it's it's everything to
the nth degree when you can pull up. I'm impressed
by seeing myself on the floor at the airport.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
How insane is it gonna be?

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Yeah, I'm soaring above the clouds right everything.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
He was blown away that our chairs had tables. He
turns around, he goes, Mom, look my switch goes on
its own table.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Why don't they have these on the bus.

Speaker 4 (18:49):
I was like, bro, we're not even flying on a
plane that has screens on the street. I'll say that
for the next trip, because you just cannot handle it.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Right now, you're out a GRC. You're probably flying a legia.
They don't even have and have like pouches on the
back of their chairs.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
Hard like this, this is just frontier, honey. I mean
just wait, someday International flight sign this kid up. So
it was just that was the coolest part of the trip,
is just to see everything they saw and how they
saw it.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
I feel like I just took a little vacation.

Speaker 4 (19:18):
We should have been able to sneak a lizard back.
I really tried I.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
First.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
Yeah, So it was cool. Next time you go anywhere
and just put your perspective like a kid. And honest
to god, those floors are so nice at the airport.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
I just like the mix of you know, young person
six seven year olds combined with sixty five year olds
riding golf guards the senior community.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
Yeah, they both move at about the same pace.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Hey, it's adult swim time, guys. Everybody's got swimmings though, everybody.

Speaker 4 (19:47):
Wow, I want a cool stock like that. They're orthopedic, honey.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
Presh from a little vacation, but still with the little salt.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
Really so salky. Honestly, it's I think it's the hardest
part of traveling is bad luggage. And we realized far, far,
far too late we are in desperate need of some
new luggage. So going to Florida as a fan, we
checked a bag, which normally, like if it was Chris
and I just traveling, we don't need to do right,

(20:13):
but there's just extra things you need with kids. And
on the way down it was fine. As we're packing
up to leave, we realized the extender on the big
bag has broken, as did the zipper. So we were
the trashy people that duct taped our luggage back together.
It's to identify that and oh yeah, I mean it's

(20:35):
even better than putting like a ribbon on the luggage
hot hat guys, just duct tape it and you'll know
exactly what bag is. Coming off that carousel. Then we
get to the airport and the little like stand up
holder on the bottom of my rolly carry on broke off.
Do you know how annoying it is to have an
unbalanced bag time a busy single time. I'm sitting there

(21:00):
like I can't believe this luggage it's not and then
Chris locks me and he goes, you do realize we
bought this luggage for our honeymoon eleven years ago, And
I'm like.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Sack, has it held up like our love has? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (21:13):
So stalky. I feel like having a bum wheel on
your luggage is like having a flat tire in life.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Just your life is just all kilter. From that point forward, these.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
Music and all the gas up in one place.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
Oh, I have an update after this very very troubling
Super Bowl ad bought by Kanye West has people exceptionally
upset for how it was ever able to air. The
thirty second spot, which Kanye says he shot on his iPhone,
shows the rapper talking about something to buy on his website,

(21:56):
and it turns out it is a white T shirt
with a swastika on the front. This came just after Friday,
when the rapper went on a massive anti semitic rant
online declaring he was a Nazi. Sources with knowledge say
Fox actually approved the Super Bowl ad on Friday to

(22:17):
air Sunday in three different markets. This aired in La
Philly and Atlanta, but the process was based on two things,
the content of the ad and the website it was promoting.
Were told the video of Yay sitting in a dental
chair talking about his new grill and not really seeing
anything except um over and over again passed muster with
Fox execs, and when they checked his website there was

(22:38):
nothing offensive on it at the time. It was just
normal athletic and athleisure gear. At some point though, on
Sundays when they say he reduced the site offerings to
just that T shirt and they were also as shocked
as the rest of the nation by this. Sources say
they ad cost him eight million dollars and it was
through a third party advertise using agency that it was purchased.

(23:02):
So usually it's the agency's job to vet the clients
before pitching it to networks. I guess a lot of
things just fell through the cracks here. For allowing this
to air. A lot of people, a lot of people
calling for him to be taken off social for his
music to stop being played. In fact, on x he
has been deactivated. Charlie Poof, one of the big artists,

(23:25):
taking to his Instagram story and saying, millions of people
are influenced by you. Please, I beg you to stop. Please.
There is no room for this.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
It's disgusting, it truly is, And honestly, I like, I'm
waiting for people to deplatform this guy to the fullest
extent that somebody can be. I mean, it wasn't enough
attention for you to parade your wife around before the
Grammys and call say how you have dominion over her
that you just decided you're going to go on this
completely ridiculous anti semitic rant and then buy these Super

(23:58):
Bowl commercials, Like for what, you're just spreading hate, It's interesting,
no positivity all.

Speaker 4 (24:03):
A lot of people are asking his music to stop
being played. Stations across the country are being told and
given messages like you need to stop playing this guy's music, period,
full stop. Travis Kelcey reportedly feeling just helpless after his
girlfriend Taylor was booed during that big Super Bowl game,
the Grammy winner appeared on the jumbo tron before being

(24:26):
met with huge booze from diehard Philly fans. According to
the Page six, apparently, Travis was super aware of the
booze and felt totally helpless. Seeing the look on her
face really got to him. According to a source, he
always protects her. It breaks his heart. He was already
having a tough night, and the fact that the stadium
was predominantly Eagles fans did not help. Travis knows that

(24:48):
this hurt her and anyone can see that, and he
just felt so powerless to be down on that field
watching her get pelted with these booze. By the way,
if you missed it, those three words she was muttered
to her friend next to her was what is going on?

Speaker 3 (25:02):
You're not used to be in booed ever. I feel like,
you know, going into.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
Eagles territory though, And when you heard the Chiefs come
out and the amount of booze, I meant, wow, this
is a predominantly filly filled fan stadium. Finally, are you
still gonna go in the ocean? Because this video freaked
me out. A creature from the Ocean's dark depths has
made a track to the water's surface. A rare humpback

(25:27):
anglerfish was filmed last week and experts say the very
first live sighting of this deep sea creature. If you
ever saw Finding Nemo, remember that terrifying part with the
fish in the light.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
What is it?

Speaker 4 (25:40):
It's so pretty.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Hi, I'm feeling happy, which is a big deal for me.

Speaker 4 (25:50):
I want to touch it wood. Oh, it's a really
spooky looking fish. It was actually caught in an Instagram
video using the Phantom of the Opera's soundtrack as the background,
and signed to say, the first recorded sighting of a
black demon fish, as it's called in history.

Speaker 3 (26:10):
That's wild.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
I wonder why it's up here. That's why I'm afraid.
Why is it up here?

Speaker 2 (26:14):
It looks like it looks like the aliens, like Sigourney
Weaver alien.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
Don't love it.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
Don't love it.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
You want to see the terrifying video. I've got it
with your scoop. Everybody's talking about it at West Michigan
Star dot Com.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Let's throw down battle love the Sexiest Time and your
shot to get to Monster Jameral and then to Van
andel Aerna next month March seventh through the ninth and
you get four tickets for the top answer today.

Speaker 4 (26:33):
All right, we've got one hundred women surveyed. Name something
you'd give your valentine to break up with them?

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Ooh, you know what I'm thinking back to like high
school drama, and it's like this, didn't the girlfriend hand
back your letterman jacket when you when she wanted to
break up with you?

Speaker 5 (26:49):
It?

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Wait a second, we're not greasers and socials here, schmidty.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
Then it sounds like.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
It I was gonna say, candy hearts. I'm gonna get controversial.
Candy hearts are the peeps and candy corn of the
Valentine's world.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
They're growth if the messaging is right, though, and if
it just says it's over on it, Yeah, really calea taste?

Speaker 4 (27:08):
Look all right? Six one, six, four, five, eight, one
oh five seven. One hundred women surveyed. Name something you'd
give your valentine to break up with them? Caller seven
first chance at the number one answer, and we're sending
you to Monster Jam with Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Starmino five point seven high. Who's this, Cayla?

Speaker 2 (27:26):
All right, Cayla, I've had a bunch of wrong guesses,
so far what one hundred women, we're asked to name
something you would give your Valentine if you wanted to
break up with them. So far I heard candies they
don't like you know, you do the opposite thing. I
also heard in eviction. Notice it's one way to let
them know things are over. And then finally I just
heard a broken heart, which is true, you are giving

(27:48):
them that, but that was not on the list.

Speaker 3 (27:50):
So Cayla, what do you think it is?

Speaker 2 (27:52):
Nothing? Give them nothing? Yeah, I feel like that's a
pretty good indicator that maybe you're not quite the person anymore.
Happy Valentine's Day. Sorry didn't get you anything. Kind of
spells disaster. I feel like for your relationship unless you're married,
in which case it's totally fine, absolutely absolutely Otherwise though,

(28:13):
nothing is the top answer. Congratulation since Kayla, thank you
all right?

Speaker 3 (28:17):
So welcome. You're going to Monster Jam. Congrats?

Speaker 2 (28:20):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Yeah, it's gonna be a blast.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
The big trucks rolling to town next month over at
van in Loriena. More tickets tomorrow eight fifteen with Battle
of the Sex is here on stop.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
Good morning to you.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
It's Mack and Spitty and you know every adult's got
the kids foods that they love. You know, maybe maybe
you still found some dunk rouse somewhere and you just
want to chow down on these.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
I'll blame you for that. My kids are not like
the super picky kids. You know.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
There's a lot of kids that are like, only chicken tenders,
only buttered noodles, that kind of stuff. My kids thankfully
don't do that. They've always been really good about eating
whatever we make. That being said, last night for dinner
was sort of a high podge of things coming together
smitty because we were gonna have people over for the
Super Bowl on Sunday. A bunch of family was coming
over and my daughter woke up with one hundred and

(29:07):
one degree fever like everybody's got right now. She's fine,
started back at school today, but we canceled everything and
that sort of changed all the food. We bought like
six pounds of burger to make a ton of burgers
and all this stuff, so we only did some of it.
We had one of those big things of mac and
cheese left over, and then just sort of some random stuff.
So when it came for dinner last night, we're like,

(29:29):
what do we have? And well, we got all this
mac and cheese we gotta eat. Let's go ahead and
put dad in there. Michelle's like, well, I I got
some peas in the freezer. We can totally do those.
And then she's like, what about a protein. I'm like, well,
we got that chicken sausage to get from Costco in
the fridge. It sounds great, We'll just put all that
together and we'll just eat sort of this mashup of
stuff we just have in our fridge. We sit down

(29:49):
to eat, and we're just talking for a second, and
I realized, Mitty as I looked out at my plate,
and I have asked my kids whether or not they
want me to cut their sausage, since I had a
knife with me, so I just sliced up their sausage
real quick. And then I'm looking at the plate and
I'm like, are we seriously eating a slice up hot
dog macaroni and seas and frozen peas right now? Because
I feel like a two year old and I've gone

(30:10):
back in time and like this is tripping me out
because this is literally the quintessential thing we would hand
our kids as toddlers.

Speaker 3 (30:17):
Oh tiny little hot dogs for you.

Speaker 4 (30:21):
Geez, like the difference with my kids. None of that
better be touching.

Speaker 5 (30:25):
Oh wow, you.

Speaker 4 (30:27):
Cut up a hot dog in mac and cheese and
it's pretty much sulfur coming out of a volcano. They
will not touch it.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
I was like, we are one step away from eating
like pears and carrots smashed up together, like we're Gerber
kids at this point, Like it was out there.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
Honestly, baby food's efficient.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
Sometime because I get a good feeling, let's do this,
get the day off to a great start.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
Here on Star Wars fine point seven was feeling good.

Speaker 4 (30:57):
Oh this is so cool. It was record breaking this
year for Make a Wish that sent the most amount
of families ever to Sunday's Big Game in New Orleans.
Nineteen Wish kids and their families made their way for
an unforgetable experience. It started back on Wednesday. They got

(31:20):
to hit the red carpet at the NFL Honors and
of course got a surprise meetup with some of the
biggest players in the NFL. For an instance, no big deal,
you're just shopping the Fanatics store, one of the big
partners with Make a Wish that was able to make
this happen. When I don't know if Detroit Lions running
back Jamier Gibbs walks up to you, Oh, great.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
Season, new and Hartsman my favorite players.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
Finally was Cardage actually went shopping for the afternoon with
one of the Make a Wish kids, hooked up the family.
They were there for the Big Game. Such a cool moment.
And if you didn't know, actually, the first NFL related
wish was back in nineteen eighty two when twelve year
old Paul Serna of Arizona was taken to the Super Bowl.
Since then, more than three hundred Big Game related wishes

(32:10):
have been granted, but never with this many families. So
it's just a really big salute of thanks to Make
a Wish.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
Yeah, I can't get enough of that organizeption just in general.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
All right, Spinny, speaking of the Super Bowl that Never misses,
super Bowl Club continued, they're now decades long tradition. When
they got to Super Bowl fifty nine in New Orleans.
We have founding members Don Chrispin, eighty eight years old,
Tom Henschel who's eighty two. They both went to that
very first AFL AFL NFL World Championship in nineteen sixty seven.

(32:41):
Later renamed Super Bowl one. Gregory Eaton also part of
the group from right here in Michigan from Lansing, eighty
five years old. They were talking about their experiences over
Super Bowls throughout the decades and how at the very
first Super Bowl spending how much for tickets twelve dollars.

Speaker 4 (32:58):
Oh say a dollar Foodoo, twelve.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
Dollars to get into that game in nineteen sixty seven,
and you just can't keep these guys away. Tom was
actually speaking to People magazine and their local news talking
about it was Super Bowl seven when he had had
way too much to drink at the Super Bowl in
as it would happen in New Orleans and wound up
in the hospital and how he got to the game.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Well, listen to Tom Rank too much. I wake up
to a win dout down the Orleans.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
I couldn't breathe. Guy vat my arm rugs and I
bare the hospital. He bailed out of a hospital bed
after taking out his IV.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
Also he could make it there to Super Bowl six.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
And Gregory eating from again right here in Lancing, just
talking about how his family knows at this point you
don't schedule something for them on Super Bowl Sunday.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
And my family. They'll know if you have a wedding
or funeral or some Gregory won't be there. Gregory's going
to be there.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
But yes, fifty nine years of Super Bowls for these
guys and hoping they continue it as they keep going
year after year.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
Smitty, but what a cool club.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
Very much.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
I feeling good coming at you a couple of times
a day. We'll do it tomorrow six forty five and
nine twenty Mack

Speaker 2 (34:15):
And Schmidty in the morning weekday, starting at six am
on Star one oh five point seven
