Speaker 1 (00:02):
Wakem It gets my day going and makes me lab
of it. Mac and Schmitty in the morning on Star
one on five point seven, Good morning, Schmitty.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Good snowy morning, Yes, big.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Time snowy morning of course out there, as we still
have a winter weather advisory in effect through one BM today.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yeah, they extended it extended.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
We might even see a little bit more snow or
some drifts coming with a little bit of wind out there.
But depending on where you're at, roads might have been
gotten to. I know our plow truck drivers have been
out like crazy because in a lot of areas the
snow stopped overnight, so they've been just working like mad
today trying to get these roads ready for this commute man.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Yeah, and you know a lot of the kids are
going to school so far this morning. Unfortunately, tons districts
are already at there allotted snow days, so most of
the school closings. We do have our south of Grand
Rapids or much further east of Grand Rapid. We do
have the list at West Michigan Star dot com. But
I know, as of right now, both my kids are

(01:04):
going and I don't see a whole ton in the
Greater Grand rapids area because those plow drivers have been
able to work as hard as they are now.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
The spoons in the inside out pajamas didn't work for
my kids last night.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
You're not going to beat those snow day a lotments. Sorry,
spoon and flushing the toilet and all the other magical items.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Movies, music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
It's the celebrities gooop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Well, we've got a new lawsuit from Ditty, and this
time he is taking on Giant NBC Universal, alleging they
crossed a very big line putting out a documentary accusing
him of murdering ex kim porter as well as underaged allegations.
And he is looking for a big payout on this

(01:49):
one as well. If you have not yet seen the
special Ditty, The Making of a bad Boy is a
documentary that's streaming on Peacock. Sean Colmes is a launster.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
I want to speak about this now because I've witnessed everything.
I think Sean cohns can get away with anything.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Diddy filing the lawsuit yesterday in New York, ripping the documentary,
saying he has had the endless allegations against him, hurting business,
and so many more things, calling all of them malicious lies.
In the documents, he blasts NBC for a particular claim
that the La County coroner confirmed Kim's death was from

(02:28):
natural causes, no evidence of foul play. He is also
upset that it amplifies YouTube conspiracy theories, claiming a coincidence
that Kim and others in Ditty's world have passed away.
He is looking for a one hundred million dollars in damages.
Talking about defamation from the network.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Yeah, it's interesting because by no means am I defending
Ditty in any way, shape or form here. But at
the same time, if you talk about dirtying a jury pool, potentially,
how they're able to do that. Yeah, I can see
this being a really big thing for his team to be, like,
we object. They put this all out there before we
had our chance to have our day in court.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
A former housewife is dealing with a very scary medical diagnosis.
Teddy Mellencamp's brain is covered in tumors and doctors are
working as fast as possible to remove the biggest ones
and get her on a road to help. The reality
star shared the news in a very simple Instagram video
telling her millions of followers she's been out of commission

(03:32):
the last few weeks due to debilitating headaches. She'd been
fighting through them until yesterday. The pain forced her to
head to the hospital, where doctors gave her a CT
scan and MRI and found multiple tumors on her brain
that doctors think have been growing for months. The former
Real housewife of Beverly Hills star and daughter of rocker

(03:52):
John mellencamp so she has already had surgery to remove
the two biggest tumors. That was yesterday afternoon. The smaller
ones will be dealt with via radiation down the line.
She had a very very candid video showing her shaving
her head for surgery.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
I have this look on my bucket list.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Maybe baby, you got this. She also had a very
sweet message to fans, saying, as my dad said this morning,
God only gives hard stuff to those of us who
can handle it. It's a hard day, but I have
faith and amazing surgeons, and I know that everything will
be okay.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
That's a great attitude to have for something that's got
to be.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Just so scared, terrifying. Finally, backstraight is Back Baby, the
Backstraight Boys are taking over the sphere in Vegas. The
huge news dropping yesterday with of course, an amazing hype video.

(04:50):
That's right, Kevin Ay, j Nick Howie and Brian hitting
the sphere for nine days. This will kick off July eleven,
celebrating the twenty anniversary of their hit album Millennium. It's
going to be a y two K nostalgic residency. They
are so excited about this, they toured the sphere yesterday.

(05:11):
Tickets go on sale to morrow.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Of course, I know our Backstreet obsessed with Oh.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Carmen and Navy already have their pre sale logging ready
to go, and we love you girls for it. I've
got all the details on that with your scoop at
West Michigan Star dot com.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Sometimes because I get a good feeling, well, you keep
the hands on ten and two. We'll keep We'll keep
you feeling good right now and start a five point
see if A good morning to you Mack and Schmidty here.
And this is not political in anyway, shape or form,
so don't take it that way. But they're very serious
things going on in politics. This is not one of them. JB. Pritzker,

(05:52):
the Illinois Governor decided to have a little fun. Of course,
there's been lots to talk about the renaming of the
Gulf of Mexico to the Golf of America, and however
you feel about that, we aren't going to go around
probably changing the names of several of our big bodies
of water. But if we are going to think about
changing names, the Illinois Governor has a few suggestions, and

(06:13):
he would like to make them official in a video
he posted the Instagram earlier this week. I don't think
Michigan residents are going to be up for his proposed name.

Speaker 6 (06:21):
Change, So today I'm issuing a proclamation declaring that here
and after, Lake Michigan shall be known as Lake Illinois.
The proclamation has been forwarded to Google to ensure the
world's maps reflect this momentous change. In addition the recent
announcement that to protect the homeland, the United States will

(06:42):
be purchasing Greenland, Illinois will now be annexing Green Bay
to protect itself against enemies foreign and domestic, I've also
instructed my team to work diligently to prepare for an
important announcement next week regarding the Mississippi River. God Bless
America and Bear Down.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Ah, it's a Bears fan. Smittide doode with.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Green Bay And as long as you don't put the
S on the end of Illinois, I'm also fine with that.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
I am a fan of doing a little sarcasm in
a position like that for sure.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
All Right, So last week it was the NFL Honors,
and we know that Buffalo Bill's quarterback Josh Allen taking
home the coveted MVP Most Valuable Player in the twenty
four to twenty five season. But what I want to
let you hear is slick Rick. He's a Bill's mail
room employee, and he was specifically shouted out in that

(07:40):
big acceptance speech from the equipment staff, to the training room,
to the strength staff, to slick Rick in the mailroom,
to the cafeteria upstairs, like it truly takes everybody. He's
talking about the success of the team being for everyone
that's a part of the team.

Speaker 7 (07:55):
Well.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
ESPN caught up with slick Rick and listen to this.

Speaker 8 (08:00):
I left work Thursday, I was mentioned I said, if
Josh doesn't get MVP, I'm gonna cry. I said, I'm
gonna cry because he deserves it. I mean, he's that
important to our team. So basically, when I was watching
the awards, when he went on stage, you know everything,
I was happy that he had won it, and it
went from joyfolk to crying because when he mentioned my name.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
I just I just broke down.

Speaker 8 (08:24):
I broke down because I'm just I'm just an average person,
I mean, but when he mentioned my name, was like,
oh my god, he just mentioned my name on national television,
you know. So it was like I was just crying.
I was crying. Then I started getting phone calls from
friends and I was crying on the phone to the
I'm still it's it's.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Still like a dream. Incredible. So many people are praising
Josh to saying this is just obviously a good dude
to be thinking everyone in that organization and buffs like Rick.
The video is incredible. West Michigan Star dot Com select.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Rick in the mail Room is a cool shout out
for sure feeling good coming at you A couple times
a day. We always want to point out people doing
great things out in our world or amazing things happening.
We'll do it again coming up at nine to twenty.
Here on Startinar five point seven, Mack and Schmidty's feeling good.
Open your day with positivity powered by Overhead Door Company
of Grand Rapids, on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Movies, music and all the gossip in one place.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Oh Boy, it ends with us. Drama continues and now
Blank Lively literally wants to go through Justin Baldoni's phone,
firing off a legal demand, hoping to find that smoking
gun if you will on the smear campaign, she says,
the director and co star launched against her. So Blake's

(09:50):
attorneys have sent subpoenas to three different phone carriers AT
and T, T Mobile, and Verizon. Those are phones that
have been used by Justin, his public assists, his producers,
his crisis manager, and a co founder of his Wayfarer Studios.
So text messages were al writing a part of Blake's lawsuit.
She's alleging sexual harassment and a conspiracy to retaliate against

(10:14):
her and destroy her image and career. Her attorneys are
saying that by looking through his phone, there's so many
things he has not released that will prove he is
the culprit behind this. They specifically say it'll expose the
people tactics and methods that have worked to destroy and
bury Blake's reputation as well as her family over the

(10:35):
past year. He is saying. This is Blake's legal team,
saying that Justin and his attorney have not been at
all transparent with that website he launched a couple of
weeks ago, and there is a lot more to be found.
They think it will provide critical evidence about not only who,
but when, where, and how this entire plan came together.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Wait, wait, wait just a minute. Telling me that people
embradled in a financial lawsuit where they're slinging accusations that
are he said, She said that they're not being completely
forthright with all of the information. I am shocked.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
I think this is actually really interesting because can will
they get what they want? It's a little scary that
somebody could come at you and be like, hey, you
talked to some trash about me. I want to see
your phone.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Everybody's phone, everybody you knows phone like that ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
So a bunch of major celebrities you may have seen
this video going around showing a middle finger with a
Kanye shirt on, as well as the star of David
and it was launched as a support for the Jewish
population following Kanye's anti semitism. This video is fake. There

(11:50):
are huge stars in this Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler, Steven Spielberg,
me Lacunis, Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer, just name a few.
It is in entirely deep fake. So at the end
of this commercial, which I've seen everywhere, has a message
that says, enough is enough, join the fight against anti Semitism.
This was completely made with AI. In fact, Scarlett Johansson,

(12:13):
who is featured in the video, issued a statement against
her you saying, I am a Jewish woman who has
no tolerance for anti Semitism or hate speech of any kind.
But I also firmly believe that the potential for hate
speech multiplied by AI is a far greater threat to
any one person who takes accountability for it. We must

(12:34):
call out the misuse of AI, no matter it's messaging,
or we risk losing a hold on reality. This is wild.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
I'm sure several of those people would love to give
Kanye the middle finger. That being said, none of them
like having their names mentioned in his you know, in
the same breath as his at this point.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
But it's the vagueness. Have you seen the video, It
looks very real. Finally, Cardi b referencing is blaming President
Trump for ruining her Lua baton heels. The ramper was
at the big Super Bowl game on Sunday in New
Orleans and said because of Secret Service and super tight security,

(13:14):
they forced her off her golf cart and she had
to walk an extra long way and her three thousand
dollars heels.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Cardi, they stop, they stop on their little carts because
Trump was there.

Speaker 8 (13:27):
Look how.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Oh cousin Trump Now I like him?

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Bless her? Uh not surprising. There's been no response from
the President yet, but she is expecting a new pair
of Christian Lui batons because of it.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
I hope she gets what she wants, maybe, you know,
with a tax break. I'm not surely.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
It was just too good not to do. All right,
all of you are celeb scoop at West Michigan.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Star dot com on this snowy start to our Thursday.
I or plow truck drivers out there working super hard
out there, schmidty. But you know what, the plows cannot
prevent awful dry from just existing with us out on
our roads.

Speaker 9 (14:03):
You know.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
I have never called on a bad driver, and I
got really really close about a week ago, and I'm
not really sure if it's good or bad. That's what
I wanted to talk about this morning. Maybe you're a
police officer that's listening, or you are an emergency operator listening.
But I was, Oh, I was living. This person was

(14:26):
so terrible, to the point where I wrote down the make,
model and license plate of the Yeah, I was really
because it was dangerous. It was really dangerous. And it
actually happened after my Rise game last week. And so
they got on the Expressway with me one thirty one
North at Scribner, So I had them all the way
from downtown to my Rockford exit. They were weaving in

(14:48):
and out of traffic. I think the lowest speed was
probably ninety until they'd get, you know, behind somebody Lord
Forbid going seventy five. I mean then they would flash
their brights at you. They would flash flash, flash, and
this is nine thirty at night. Wow, And I was like,
this is so erratic, this is so aggressive. He was

(15:09):
flipping people off. He was in a mitsub she outlander.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
So clearly like somebody who's got an emergency going on,
they're dropping he.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Was in a black mitsab she outlander, and it was
just I'm like, either this guy is on something. I
was nervous that maybe he was under the influence of alcohol.
It was so bad. At one point, I watched him
like crossing the shoulder line, and I said, he's going
to pass people on the left, on the far left,

(15:37):
He's going to go on to the shoulder to pass people.
And then he gets off at my exit, and so
I'm at the red light with him. I'm like, really,
bro going one hundred and we're still reaching our destination
at the same time, and I was going like a
seventy six, and I just thought to myself, I was
so close. I was close enough to the point where
I had pulled off at my exit, and I had

(15:58):
the non emergency number for the Rockford Cops and I
was about to call it. And I don't know if
that's what to do or not.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
So it's so crazy that you bring this up because
I called the cops on somebody. Just last week.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
I called how did it go?

Speaker 3 (16:10):
So?

Speaker 1 (16:10):
I was leaving work here, so I'm on Ionia headed
towards Michigan, all right, And that's all a one way.
It's a two lane one way.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Oh to about fifty percent of the world, right.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
But I get behind this car and I'm used to
seeing cars driving the wrong way down a one way.
That's That's not what made me call the cops. It
was a vehicle that I'm not kidding, was going five
to six miles per hour through the area with the
green lights and kept doing it, and they would have
people swerve around them over and over again. And I
looked over when I went by, and it was this

(16:40):
old It was this older man who looked totally fine,
but he was only driving five miles an hour and
like people are laying on their horn at him. He
was seemed like it was either a senior moment or
he definitely did not belong behind the wheel. And at
one point I passed him and then I saw him
try and pull over but couldn't even like pull into
a spot. His car was just forked over. I called

(17:02):
nine one one. I was worried he was having a
medical army. You called the emergency the emergency, and I
had to tell the operator, I'm sitting there like he
didn't run into anybody, and technically I don't think he
was breaking any laws, but he might have been half
of a senior moment, so you might want to send
somebody over to check on him. They were totally fine
with that. They said, by all means you see dangerous
people out of the road, that's a deadly weapon.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
That's interesting because I've never thought to call nine one one.
I've always googled the non emergency number. And I've had
friends of mine that have called on people and as
soon as nine one picks up, they go, Hi, this
is not an emergency. And sometimes they'll be like, Okay,
let me transfer you really quick, or you're good, what's up?

Speaker 1 (17:36):
See? I feel like that guy is an emergency. Your
guy is literally out there putting people's lives at rest.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
How fast can they get to it? Is it worth
their while? If it's blowing a hundred? And it was
so so annoying, And I've had enough of those moments.
I would love the advice on calling out another driver.
Have you ever called someone, whether it's nine woman or not,
on a bad driver, And if you're somebody that works
in this line of work, if you're law enforcement, if
you are one of those operators, give us a call

(18:05):
six one six four eight one oh five seven. Tell
me the way we should handle these things.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Hey, Schmitty, I know you're somebody who's not above a
little petty revenge. You ever thought about just a little
terrible driver revenge nine one one call just to see
if you can kind of give somebody their come uppins
a little bit. Say, Hey, Karma's coming back for you,
and Schmidty's about to deliver.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
See those blue and red lights on that Mitsubashi.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
You'll know it's me, movies, music, and all the gossip
in one place.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
It's the celebritiescoop on Star one oh five point seven.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
The family drama continues between the family of DJ Twitch
and his now widow, Allison Hulker. Remember she is out
with this new memoir making quite a few allegations, including
drug use from the late Steven Boss, and now his
family is getting involved legally. Connie is Twitch's mom. We

(19:02):
first heard from her in a CBS Morning interview.

Speaker 10 (19:05):
I can't even put into words what that feels like.
And you know, this was a sensational story, so definitely
there are going to be people out there who would
take advantage of that. So I truly understand that. I
guess my issue with it is that we are family.
I'm his mother. What did you honestly think I was

(19:29):
going to do?

Speaker 2 (19:30):
The family making a statement on Instagram, Connie saying, our
family is appalled by the misleading and hurtful claims made
about my son, Stephen Boss. The recent publications are spreading untruths,
and I will not let these alleg accusations excuse me
go unanswered. For the last two years, I've remained quiet
and away from the public eye to protect my family.

(19:51):
My primary fool focus has been on healing and attempting
to remain connected to my grandchildren. But when I read
these dreadful claims, I realized they could not stay silent
any longer. Our family will ensure his name and memory
are protected, and we are committed to defending his honor.
We're not exactly sure what kind of legal action will

(20:13):
be taken, but they have hired counsel.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Was already such a sad story, this just adds to it.
It's too bad that the family can't kind of come
together and figure out a way to move forward, at
least at least in a private way.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
You feel bad for the grandkids, like for her to
even bring that up, say I want to remain close
to my grandchildren, but I also have a responsibility as
a mom. Travis Kelcey obviously dating one of the most
popular women in the world that even his family did
not know him and Taylor's Swift were really a thing
for quite a while. Kylie Kelsey hopped on the Call
Her Daddy podcast for the latest episode with Alex Cooper,

(20:47):
talking about how tight lipped Travis remained about this relationship.

Speaker 9 (20:52):
How did Travis tell you guys that he was dating
Taylor Swift. I'm assuming like your family was like getting
told this some capacity at some point, were not you weren't.

Speaker 5 (21:02):
No, we I will say we knew before everyone else knew, Okay,
but we were. It was not like it didn't hit
the group chat. No, it did not hit the group chat.
Did Jason tell you Jason and I found out together? Jason,
I found out together, but we knew before, like they

(21:23):
hard launched with her going to a game.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
Kylie also talking about so many of the rumors that
her and Taylor didn't really get along and didn't love
being around each other, revealing that she actually didn't meet
Travis for almost a year into dating Jason, So this
is not really a weird thing. She tells Alex plus
Taylor was just a little busy during the start of
their relationship, obviously a reference to her being on her

(21:46):
eras tour. Kylie's saying that storyline is so silly, were
super tight.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
Kylie must be one incredible woman in her own right,
just what she deals with Jason, I didn't insue to
my family for a year. On our first date, I
got drunk and fell asleep at the bar.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
By the way, if you have not listened to Kylie's podcast,
not gonna lie. It is so so good. Finally, in
a first from Michigan Stadium, the Big House is turning
into a big concert venue. It's gonna host country stars
Zach Brian with special guest John Mayer. The announcement yesterday.
The show goes down September twenty seventh, and I think

(22:22):
this is so cool. They're hoping to break the North
American attendance record for concerts so right now it's held
by George Strait. This is from June of last year.
He packed almost one hundred and eleven thousand people into Texas.
A and M's Kyle Field. Well, we know that the
Big House, with a capacity of over one hundred and
seven thousand with people being able to stand on the field,

(22:44):
could actually shatter this record. So if you're interested, Zach
Bryan John Mayer, the tickets go on sale tomorrow morning,
with Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentleman and Joshua Sloan
on the bill as well. I think that's pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
You're gonna be a really cool show and just easy
to think about a stadium that big never having a
concert in ninety eight years.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
Hope it makes more people want to come. That'd be
really sweet. All of your celeb scoop at West Michigan
Star Dot.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Hhe point seeven Let's do it Battle of the Sexiest
time look at a land you at Monster Jam coming
up to seventh through the ninth of March next month,
and we will get you in with four tickets to
give us today's toop answer.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Keep hearing us. Sparkle Smash I think is the name
of a truck and I'm like team that. All right.
We've got one hundred women surveyed. Name something you'd be
scared to do at your first swim lesson.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
Your kids in swim lessons right now here.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
We just started up again last week, What was the
big fear to start the year. You know, nobody puked.
We did have a puker the first time we did
swim lessons. Not my kids, but it's just so weird.
I get it. Your body is suspended in water.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
My kids didn't quite have the vocabulary when they were
I don't know, like two and three when we first
got them swim lessons. So the chlorine spicy, Oh so spicy,
oh so spicy?

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Six one six, four, five eight, one oh five seven.
One hundred women surveyed name some you'd be scared to
do at your first swim lesson? Colar seven. You can
be headed to Monster Jam with Star one oh five
point seven Monday Morning Star.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
Who's this? Scotty and Josephina, Let's get you guys to
Monster Jam. You gotta tell me. When one hundred men
were asked to name something, uh that a person might
be scared to do at their first swim lesson, Scotty Josephina,
what do you think? That top answer is.

Speaker 7 (24:29):
What do you think?

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Come to jump off the diving board to dive in?
You know that it can be scary, especially if that
diving board is pretty high off the ground. However, dive
is the number five most common answer. Sorry, guys, thanks
have a great morning though you two. Hi Star? Who's

(24:54):
this Jessica? I just got a good guest from Scotty
and Josephina. When one hundred guys were asked to aim
something a person might be scared to do at their
first swim lesson, they said to dive off the diving board,
and dive was the number five most common answer, but
not the top ones. You guys got a chance at
Monster Jim tickets. What do you think the top answer.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Is quote to what?

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Quote? To float? You know, floating can be a little
odd feeling or whatever, especially that first back float where
you're staring up at the sky. However, float not on
the list here, I'm sorry, okay, thank you, thank you?
Hi Star? Who's this? Branda? So far? When one hundred
guys were asked to name something a person might be

(25:35):
scared to do at their very first swim lesson, so far,
I've heard dive and floats, and dive was the number
five most common answer, but otherwise not the top. So
what do you think The top answer is jump off
the diving board. We already got that one established with dives,
so that one's not OK.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
All right, how about going the go.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
Into the deep end? Is the number two most common answer.
I'm sorry, thank you, thank you, Hi star. Who's this
Christina from Ferda Christina from Sparta. I'm shocked nobody's gotten
this one yet. Name something a person might be scared
to do with their first swim lesson? One hundred women
ask that it is not dive, It is not going

(26:15):
to the deep end, and it is not to float.
What do you think? The top answer is.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
One hundred women surveyed, what's the thing that you would
be scared of at your first swim lesson?

Speaker 1 (26:25):
Yes? I would have said dive, but.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
That's not the right answer going underwater.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
You were gonna say dive, But thankfully some people already
took that bullet for you, because going underwater for the
first time. I'm sorry, But as a parent, is there
anything funnier than watching your kid's face go under and
then seeing the surprise look when they come out of
the water for.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
The first time?

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Wait a second, people do this for fun on purpose.
Somebody just tried to kill me, that's the top answer. Wait,
go head on your water. Yeah, yeah, you got monster
jam tickets. Congratulations, you are so welcome. Yes, it was
put your head underwater, then go to the deep end,

(27:11):
followed by just getting in the water and dive, rounding
out those top answers. So congratulations, you guys are heading
to the monster jam shot A five point seven Valentine's
Day tomorrow or Singles Awareness Day, whatever you want to
go right, it's back and sit here on starting a
five point seven. And I know you hate Valentine's Day.

(27:34):
Your husband is under you know, direct instructions to not
purchase you any Valentine's Day gifts.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Correct, Yeah, and he gets me whenever year is a joke?

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Oh he does so? Does he usually get your flowers?
Does it get your chocolates?

Speaker 6 (27:46):
Weird?

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Just add random christop real love stuff. Hey, fishing lure.
If you don't want to, I'll keep it funny.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
You say that I'll be at the World Championship ice
fishing this weekend is my Valentine's gift.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
What a good fisherman's wife. You make all right? Sitting
well in my house. You know we do celebrate Valentine's
a little bit. I usually I get a gag gift
for Michelle every year, but it's the same one. It's
flower petals, roast petals that go in our bed. And
believe me, ain't magic happening. It's just an ongoing jokes.
Laugh here. That being said, I do flowers, I do candy,

(28:19):
and I do stuff for the kids too. And my
son was a sweet kid. He came to me and
he's like, Dad, we take me to the store so
that I can get Mom a Valentine sweet right, super sweet.
I'm like, yeah, buddy, I gotta go to the store anyway.
So we head off and we go to my ear
and we're in there and they got a lot of
great flowers and stuff, and so we start looking at
the flowers and he's like, all right, you know, I
brought my own money, and I'm gonna get her chocolates.

(28:41):
I'm gonna get her flowers. And I said, awesome, buddy.
We get into the flower section and there's this beautiful
bouquet and he sees it and he goes, I think
Mom would really like this one hundred percent, buddy, you should.
I think that's what you should go with. Get that one,
and goes yeah, but I was hoping to get her
chocolate too. I was like, well, you can, but just

(29:02):
you know, get chocolates and flowers. And he goes, I'm
only paying for one. Dad, there it is. I'm not buying.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
He's already the man we all expect.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
He goes, which one do you thinks he wants more?
And I'm like, buddy, let's not start life by going
halfway with Valentine's Day. That's just setting you up for failure.
And if I can extend any lessons as a man
to you, whatsoever, going halfway is worse than doing nothing
at all.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Remember the lego flowers? Yes, I was in the island
Meyer the other day with my six year old who said, oh,
Dad told me those are way too expensive. I was like,
did he? Honey? Wow, that's chivalrous and love never dies.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
So schmitty, if you had to take one or the
other flowers or chocolate, let's all day long?

Speaker 11 (29:51):
Right?

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Unsurprisingly at all, In our very scientific poll on Facebook,
chocolate is also clearing away the winner. So guess what, Well,
he bought the flowers and Dad had to buy extra
chocolate because again he goes, Na, He's like, how is
really only open to spend ten dollars? Dan, I'm already
over budget sometime. Does that get a good feeling? Well,

(30:16):
let's perk you up this morning. Feeling good on Starlin
Oh five points sevenues back and Smitty here to bring
a little positivity. What's going on, schmidde.

end literally blowing rose petals into the camera. So if
you would like to see these gorgeous accommodations, I have
shared the video. Big shout out to Bloomington Police Department
at West Michigan Star on our Instagram.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
That's awesome, all right, Betty. Last Friday, Ashton beginning, a
woman going into labor just outside of Saint Francis Hospital
in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and her husband Seth pull it into
the hospital's circular drive and that's when she realized, we're
not going to make it. No, that's right. The baby
was coming before they were gonna get a chance to
get inside, and while Seth went to go find a wheelchair.

(31:55):
They were so lucky because security guard Marcia excuse me,
mar Marcio Edmundson, who had also a firefighter and EMT,
saw the baby arriving and quickly stepped in to assist Seth,
actually describing to WKRTV news exactly what happened and how

(32:15):
terrifying it must have been for those new expecting parents.

Speaker 4 (32:19):
Security guard helped her catch him and then the cord
was wrapped around the neck I think they said three times,
and he stuck his finger in between the umbilical cord
and the neck to keep it from strangulating him.

Speaker 1 (32:35):
That's right. This security guard with his EMT training and
as a firefighter, immediately recognized the difficulty the baby was
having breathing because of the umbilical cord, did the proper
steps to get a taken care of. That's when medical
professionals rushed into takeover care from there. But obviously every
second counting when you're talking about oxygen not getting into

(32:57):
a newborn's brain. So Edmundson being on and the Buchanans
got a visit from him while they were in the
hospital room to connect a little bit, and all Marcicio
kept saying was, man, I can't believe what a rush
that was. I did not expect it.

Speaker 11 (33:11):
Now it's like it's like what Jylan rush, because I know,
I think it's going like wow, this just happened right
here on my shift, Like I didn't expect to come
to work and see, you know, deliver baby.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
They named the baby boy Theodore. They should have named
him after him. I would have liked to see a
little h little Mauricio hanging out out there, SCHMITTI, that
would have been awesome, but amazing, all right. Feeling good,
Kevin at you a couple of times today. I always
here to perky up, tell you about great things going
on in our world. Will do it again tomorrow six
forty five and nine twenty here on Star Mack and
Schmidty in the morning weekday, starting at six am on

(33:43):
Star one oh five point seven
