Speaker 1 (00:00):
Right now. It's the John, Jay and Rich Afterwards podcast.
You guys, and I want to go over just a
bunch of things. Everybody has said that we haven't got
too for whatever reason. Once something just happened to me
in the bathroom or in the kitchen. There's this guy
that works here, and you know, you gotta have chit
chat with people. Like I was making my cup of
coffee and he's making his cup of coffee. It's like eh,

(00:20):
And then not only I make my cup of cofee,
but then I also make it a double espresso, so
I have to wait for the espresso thing. So I'm
talking this guy and I got nothing else to talk about.
And he was telling me how important sleep is, and
I was like, yeah, I know, sleep is very important.
And I've been going to bed at seven thirty, eight
o'clock almost every night lately. And I'm starting to stress
because basketball season is starting pretty soon and I have

(00:40):
season tickets to the Suns. A lot of those games
started seven thirty. I'm going to bed at seven thirty.
And I don't know how I did it last year,
you know what I mean, Like.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
I'll tell you how you came in cranky. Here's what happened.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
So I'm like, so I saw I saved the guy.
I go, I go, yeah, man, I'm stressed about you know,
and I got my coffee. Now I'm walking out. I go,
I don't know, I'm gonna make these sense. He goes,
you got season tickets? I go, yeah, I have season tickets.
And he goes, oh, well, let me know if I
can hook you up, you can hook me up. He goes, yeah,
you can take me with you.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
What does that mean?

Speaker 1 (01:09):
I'm like, how you're gonna hook me up by me
taking you with me tickets? Like I feel like he
stumbled his words. Maybe ye, like maybe he was trying
to say, can you hook me up with tickets? But
I just went walked out backwards.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
That was the right response to nonsense.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Anyway, that's funny.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Yeah, he probably did misspeak because like, you've got you
already have the tickets.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
What's the hookup?

Speaker 1 (01:36):
And I don't ever in my life done anything with
him ever, Like if I wasn't going to go, I
would all give the tickets to you guys before I
came to him, you know what I mean? No offense, sir. Anyway.
Side note, I want to get into the the viral
mango gummies Kyle's put on here. I've never heard of him,
and I don't know what you're talking about. What were
you have heard of them?

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Because we talked about him on the show before there
are these. Okay, yes, Grant should be here because he
was part of the experiment. So for months I tried
to find these viral peelable mango gummies. And they're not
like expensive or like wildly outrages like you find them
at Walgreens. It's just that like they've been sold out everywhere.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
But they're gummies, like vitamins are their gummies like we
care like can Oh, there's normal gummies ummies.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
I'm thinking of no medicinal purposes at all, just kidding.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
You find them in the candy aisle. Okay, they're under
the Nice brand, like either way. So I get them
and I'm like so excited. So first I try them
with Noah, and Noah and I are absolutely so grossed
out by these things because I had such high hopes
because first of all, I love mango flavor, and these
looked so fun, Like you peel them open and then
there's like a little tiny mango inside of the mango gummy.

(02:48):
They smelled disgusting and they taste really gross too, So
I had an extra bag for a while. Nick and
Grant come in and I was like, do you guys
want to try these?

Speaker 1 (02:58):
They're really gross, and they did.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
But the thing is both of them said they were
so delicious, and I'm like, you were full of lies.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
I could eat the mango ones all day long. It smells,
they start they they smell. They smell like cheese and feet.
That's yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
But I got to update, Kyle, because you said this
has been an ongoing thing. I went to the Cracker
Barrel this weekend because I'm sixty five years old, and
while I was there, you know, perusing the store, the
Country store, they had the peelable bananas, so I got
the bananas gummy bears.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
No, but they're the peelable one bananas areable?

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Yeah, yeah, but no, but you peel the banana and
on the inside it's like a white banana.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Like how fun is that it is? But if it
smells terrible, I gotta be out.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
You thought it was gross.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
It's one of the top five worst things I've ever.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Put in my body.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Yeah, it's I mean, but what did you think about
the banana ones.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
The bananners were cracking.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Dude.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
You know what I have. I have enough of a
bag that I could bring in the NaNs if you
guys want to try.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
I think I gave him to.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
You aled that bag.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
But they're by the company, Amos, I believe, right, cookie guy?

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Yeah, but the brand is nice?

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Oh is it nice?

Speaker 1 (04:19):
It's nice?

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Nice?

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Chris hair a guy, just die.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
God rest the soul?

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Okay? And then Kyle, then you also, does your dog
ever offend you? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:31):
My dog offends me all the time.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
So whenever we go out of town, we usually take
Daisy to Deep Pet Hotel that's like her happy home
away from home. And we're usually on a road trip,
like we're usually going up north, and so we dropped
her off on the way and then on the way back,
Scott's usually our driver, and so he'll pull up and
then because I'm not driving and seat belt it up,

(04:54):
I'll hop out go pick her up. And this is
when the offense happens.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
So she's excited to see me.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
When Deep Pet Hotel brings her out of her little
suite that she stays in, and then for like a second,
she's like excited. She mess me and then she bolts
for the door because she knows that Scott's out there,
and I'm like, I'm right here, I'm right here, babe.
I'm the one that came in to get you.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
I came to.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Rescue you anyway, So she will wait at the door
of Deep Pet Hotel.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
I open it up.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
She bolts out to Scott and it's like I never existed.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
She's a daddy's girl totally.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
And for me, I'm like, it's a little offensive because
I too love you and take care of you and
want a little bit of attention back.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
So here's what I think. And it is just in
my house that's the same thing. But for Blake and
I feel and this is just to make me feel better,
it's because she feeds them. Yeah, Scott does good, good good.
My little hypothesis is working because when the dogs don't
give a rip about me at all, unless there's a

(06:04):
chance where I feel I usually feed them on Saturday
and Sunday, and that's the only time they like me,
and I feel like the rest of the time they
follow her around, they do everything. They're so excited to
see her every time. Maybe that make me feel a
little bit maybe.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Need to start feeding her more.

Speaker 4 (06:16):
There's only like, there's only one time, or I should say,
there's only two times in the day where Daisy cares
that I exist, and it's for some reason. When we
get home from taking like when I pick up the
kids and when we get home.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
From school, it's like.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
The most love ever and it's just like so cute
and it's the best feeling ever. And then two minutes
later she's like, Okay, goodbye. And then right before bed
she'll accept someone I call my little night time lovees
for her.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
And then that's it. That's funny. Call it that. My
sisters call it loveeske ten lovees lovees lovees. Okay, Peyton,
you said I've officially turned into wife mode? Do you
remember that?

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Kind of.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
You said, I've officially turned in the wife mode. I'm
making lunch for Kadeem to take to work, Like wtf
that just one day or is it every day?

Speaker 3 (07:12):
It's every day? And it's actually really annoying.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
You make lunch from every day?

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Make yeah, I mean basically two dinners to make sure
he has lunch for the next moment. Yeah, And like
that's like kind of annoying, Like why can't you do
it yourself? He wouldn't eat, and then he would probably
go and spend a bunch of money at lunch every day.
Oh yeah, so we're not doing that. We're trying to
save money over here. Have you seen this economy?

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Where's he's doing.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
He is a para professional at a school, so he
kind of helps out with like teachers. He helps a
lot with like elementary kid schools, and like if the
kids get in trouble, they're like walking down and be like, Kadeem,
you take blah blah blue to the principal's office. And
then he like monitors like the lunch and all the
little kids love him. He's such like I think the
little kids love him because he's kind of little, so

(07:56):
like he's also kind of like a little kid. I
think that's kind of where they yell at that and
he like it's actually really cute. Because you guys have met,
you know, my boyfriend, Kadimi's very much to himself. He
doesn't he's a man of not many words. And he
comes home and he tells me these stories about that
he has with all these kids and how the kindergarteners

(08:17):
don't think he has hands because he puts his hands
up in his hoodie and he like runs around trying
to take their food, and I'm like, jeez, I can't
wait to make you the father of my children. Like
it just makes me so much in love with him.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Anyway, I've been waiting to bring this up to you
for a long time. What is because I wanted to
see what came out of this, you said. I love
when my friends just want me to be great. My
friend Peyton said she was tired of me living my
life the way I do and not documenting it the
right way. So she bought me a whole flogging set.
Now that's been two months.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Yeah, I haven't deleted that. I'm surprised I haven't. I
have one flogging video up.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
And when we went to Magic.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Mountain, when I went with my family, and that was it.
I just and actually that's actually not true. Remember my
confessionals that I did when I was in San Diego.
Use my vlog set up for that with a microphone.
But she wanted me to be great. She basically handed
me this lologging system and was like, you need to
do better. So I bought you this.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
What's what's all in the vlogging system.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
It's kind of like a little like tiny hand held
chipot and then it has like a microphone that sets
up to it, and then you can like hook up
a camera you can hook upon.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
It was a separate camera from your phone. Yeah, well
that's cool.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Yeah, she hooked me up. That was really cool of her.
She didn't have to do that, so that was nice.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Okay, because I was looking for I wanted to see, like,
you know, if it was two months and Payton's put
up you know, sixty vlog videos, that'd be like, oh, wow,
she's on this.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
No I haven't.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
I mean, then again, I've been talking about doing a
podcast my wife for about three weeks and just give
me the podcast equipment. I bought my microphones. In fact,
I said, my wife, you said our anniversary is I
think Saturday, and said I was going to bed. She's like,
do you want to go get a couple's massage for anniversary?
And I was like sure, Like cool, what a great
time to launch the podcast? Yeah, on our anniversary or
at least on the And then I was like, I

(10:01):
was like it could be all about our sheets.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
It's like the idea is so good, but then you
have to think about all the work that's going to take,
and you're already swamped with everything else that you're doing. Anyways,
I need to get over that. That's my problem.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Oh, I get it.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
I'm like, I just don't want to edit the video.
I'll shoot the video, but I don't want to edit.
It stresses me out.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
It's like I don't want to do the podcast. I mean,
I don't mind doing it now. I'm also doing this
other podcast with my doctor exactly. And then it's like,
and then I started this fun little thing. I was
reviewing TV shows. I did that four times over that.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Yeah, but there's more TV shows coming out, I know.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
But it's just it's set up the thing, turn on
the light, and then review it, and then got to
figure out the green screen crap. You know, I just don't.
I'm like, and then I was doing to this cooking
segment with Blake, I mean, by myself cooking stuff, and
then you know, she pissed me off. Then she got
all mad, I'm using the wrong I'm not pants and
she's explained to me why we can't use these pants,

(10:54):
and I don't understand why I can't use these pants.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
What did she say, she showed me the.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Bottoms of the pants, how they're burned. Get you put
them on a fire, they get burned.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
Did you burn the bottom of the pan?

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Me?

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Or Dutch bottoms of pants actually burned? Like, shouldn't that
be burn proof?

Speaker 1 (11:10):
They just got there? That's called black. I don't think
you've changed anything, just not all shiny.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Is it supposed to be like a pan that you
cook on low heat with?

Speaker 1 (11:17):
I don't know, but it's a pan that she does
want is cooking hamburgers.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
And I just ruined my Dutch oven, and my mom
is not very happy.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Even though I just go cast iron. You can't burn
those barbecue hambergers.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
No, I do barbecue. I do them both. I barbecue
on the panel. I like them better because they soak
in all their butters. All right, hey, this this call
won't be part of the podcast, right, It's okay, we'll
just take it. Okay, Hey, that's our podcast, and you
want to hear what call we're talking about. You gonna
have to listen to the listen to the show, all right,

(11:48):
that's afterwards
