(00:00):
We are, my friends. Welcomeinto the program. Jimmy is my name?
Pleasured, pleased, and thrilled. How's everybody doing. Everybody's happy today,
Son's coming up? Hot day yesterday, hot day today. Not as
hot as last week though, Andwelcome to summertime in Colorado. I'm happy
to be here. It's fascinating towatch what we're watching in the world of
(00:23):
the media. You've got the presssaying that we should do one thing with
called these hop ed pages, callingon President Biden to drop out, and
then the press the other folks aresaying, no, you shouldn't do that.
So it's the politicians rallying around support. I just got to watch it
all happen. It's you never knowwhat's going on behind the scenes. I
(00:44):
don't see it happening. I believePresident Biden will be in there. Well,
it's just too there's too many there'stoo much logistics here that would make
it difficult for that to happen.So I don't know. I won't have
to watch it all, watch itall transpire. There's another drama that I
find to be quite interested. We'vetalked about in the state of Colorado with
(01:07):
the Republican party, and there's continuingcalls for Dave Williams, the chairman,
to step down. There's a pieceat Complete Colorado dot com, Complete Colorado
dot Com in which you can finda former chairperson, Dick Wadhams says he's
got to go. I read apiece by joy Overbeck yesterday that he's got
(01:29):
to go as well. So it'sfascinating times to watch these calls, whether
it's the Colorado Republican Party or themedium in the Atlantic Constitutional Journey Journal in
the New York Times on President Biden. There's a lot at stake here,
not just in Colorado, but acrossAmerica, and it is interesting to watch
for sure. All Right, ifyou want to jump in anytime too the
(01:49):
morning, let me read some emails, if I may, I'm going to
read some emails, and I canread the emails at Jimmy Lakey dot com.
Well, let's see, I canread emails. I'm in a totally
different studio. My computers are nutsin here. Jimmy Lakey and iHeartMedia dot
com. Jimmy Lakey and iHeartMedia dotcom, Facebook dot com, slash Jimmy
Lakey fan page. You can sendme a private message there, and you
(02:12):
can also if you want to,you can just tweet me. That's just
some private messages on the Twitter. And if you do the private messages on
the Twitter, you can also dothe private messages on the Facebook. It's
fascinating also as we watch about thereplacement possibility of Joe Biden, that some
people would say that people are privatelyhaving discussions, not publicly. Jamie Raskin
(02:36):
admitted that Congressman leader of the Democrats, Gretchen Whitmer denies that she called Michigan
unwinnable. That was the report fromPolitico yesterday that she called and said,
I'm sick and tired of hearing myname floated around as a replacement of Joe
Biden. However, I'm not behind, I'm not the driving force. I'm
not trying to undermine this. However, it's unwinnable for Joe Biden here.
(02:59):
Evidently, gretch Whitmer says Politico gotthat wrong and that she's a good girl
and she's very winnable because she saidJoe has the receipts. That was her
tweet yesterday. I don't know ifshe's been taking notes from Dion Sanders.
Isn't that what Deon Sanders says,I got the receipts, and so I
guess that's a big deal. Yougot to get the receipts. So evidently
(03:19):
Gretchen Whitmer says, Joe Biden hasthe receipts and because that he can win,
he can win Michigan. So shedenies that she ever said that it's
unwinnable. So well did she sayit? I don't know. Politico doesn't.
I'm not saying Political is the bestPolitico is the best source out there,
but I am saying that it's it'sinteresting to hear Politico, New York
(03:42):
Times and these others kind of goagainst the elective class out there, and
they're saying, hey, he's gotto go. Why do you think the
elected class out there is in oppositionwith their printed media? New York Times
generally is in lockstock step with NancyPelosi, Chuck Schumer, and I really
think it maybe because some of themedia, And who do you think is
(04:03):
more complicit here? Is that themedia said the elected officials, did they
all not know? Everybody's feigning thisa shock that he performed so poorly the
other night, and then they saidhe performed for poorly, called for him
to step down and said this isa disaster, and maybe they didn't couldn't
figureut how to do that, andsaid, well we better stick this one
(04:24):
out and double down on We're wrap. But it's interesting to hear the media.
I think the media said, well, we should have been reporting this.
We've been covering this up, we'vebeen taking talking points. Maybe the
media finally got a little bit ofI don't know, it just fascinated the
media has not turned lockstock step inbarrel. It turned in lockstep to where
(04:48):
the Democrat politicians are the Democrat politicianswithin seventy two hours, for the most
part, publicly we're saying, hey, we're all behind Joe. Privately there's
still a lot of talk about what'sgoing on there, but publicly they were
all lockstep right inside. But Joe'sour guy, he's our guy. If
he can't do it, no onecan. But the newspapers usually pick up
(05:11):
their talking points from the politicians, and yet, for some reason, the
editorial boards at least have not donethat. It's really kind of a fascinating
separation. Is it going to belong term? Is it going to be
short lived? I would guess shortlived if not, because if the politicians
stay on board here, I'm guessingthe provtotype media is going to get right
back on board as well, andthey will do whatever they need to do
(05:36):
to get Joe across the board. The piece by Dick Wadhams that I mentioned
that said the Denver Gazette says, after sixteen months of chaos, divisiveness,
hate and financial abuse in the ColoradoRepublican Party, the regime of Dave Williams
was emphatically rejected by the voters whoknow him best. It was Dave Williams
himself who made the Republican primary inthe fifth Congressional District or referendom on the
(06:00):
wreckage he has wrought on the stateparty as its chairperson, despite saying he
would not run for congress in twentytwenty four, after being elected state chairman,
he not only reneged on this pledge, but he refused to resign as
state chairperson. He an ethnically funneledstate party funds to finance direct attacks on
his victorious opponent, Jeff Crank, who annihilated Williams by a two to one
(06:25):
margin. He violated more than onehundred years of neutrality by the State Party
and competitive primaries. Williams endorsed himselfin the fifth Congressional district, along with
three carpetbaggers who moved into districts wherethey had no personal or political ties.
Williams and the State Party endorsed stolenelection conspiracist and carpetbagger Ron Hanks in the
(06:46):
third Congressional district. Hanks moved toGrand Junction despite being a resident of Fremont
County, which is not in thedistrict. They endorsed former State Rep.
Janet Joshi of Colorado Springs in theeighth Congressional district. Joshi moved to Thornton
into the district just a few monthsago. Both Ron Hanks and Janic Joshi
lost. The ultimate carpetbagger to beendorsed was this was US Representative Lauren Bobert,
(07:13):
who abandoned the third CD in faceof an almost certain defeat and barely
being re elected in twenty twenty twoin a nine point Republican district. Despite
having strong advantages, Bobart won withan unimpressive forty three percent against five challengers,
so fifty seven percent of the votersin the fourth that said no to
Bobert, who was endorsed by DaveWilliams and the state Party. It is
(07:33):
a bruising piece against Dave Williams andthe state chairperson of the Colorado GOP.
If you want to read it,it's at the Denver Gazette dot com and
it is a I mentioned when Iran for Congress. I was very happy
that the state GOP stayed pretty neutraland Dick Wadams was actually the chairperson of
(07:53):
the state Party when I decided torun for Congress, and he is a
person going to run for Congress inthe seventh congressional district that at the time.
I went and met with Dick Wadhams, who was the state Party chair
and reintroduced myself. I had methim because I had been in talk radio
for a period of time and Imet Dick, and Dick's the guy that
(08:13):
told me. He says, hey, listen, there's this guy from Aurora.
He's already going to jump in thisrace in the seventh district to run
against Eddie Pearlmutter. He's a greatcandidate. I mean, you might want
to have you met him, haveyou talked to him, But I kind
of got the sense that they thoughtthat this other candidate was kind of from
central casting. I kind of gotthe sense that they felt like he was
(08:33):
going to be a great candidate. But I never got the sense that I
was told I could not run.Never got the sense that I was told
I could not run. All right, thank you very much. I got
computers and phone issues and everything elsegoing on, ladies and gentlemen. Jenny
Beth, Martin, Tea Party,Patriots dot Org on the hotline, Jenny
Beth, I'm not sure how longyou've been holding my computer. Everybody's I'm
(08:54):
in a different studio. It's alittle crazy here today, Jenny Beth,
good morning, Good morning to bewith you. And I missed the call,
so I was not holding Okay, okay, could I have no clue
my computer. I've restarted my machine. I think it's working now because I
was able to push the button, which is good. Jenny Beth. Let's
just kind of dive in here lastweek's debate. I was just talking to
(09:16):
my listeners that it seems as ifthe Atlantic Constitutional Journal, you have,
the New York Times, the oped pieces are still saying that Joe Biden
needs to go bye bye but thepoliticians on the Democrat side have seemingly circled
the wagons. So it's an unusualdisparity of opinion between the newspapers and the
(09:37):
media and the Democrat leadership. Whatsay you, well, I think right
now it looks like Joe Biden willbe the nominee, and that's what we
have to presume, and then wewill see what actually happens. The fact
of the matter is, it isup to Joe Biden whether he is the
nominee or not. If he stepsdown, then it is then it opens
(10:03):
scenes up. But it does notlook like he's going to do that.
So no matter what the New YorkTimes is thing, and the AJC is
saying, and all the other mediaoutlets are saying, it's up to Biden.
Now, the Democrat Party leadership andthe delegates to the DNC could potentially
(10:24):
make a different decision, But theyhave a real challenge on their hands.
They're supposed to be the people whoare for democracy, and they prevented a
meaningful primary from happening. And ifthey remove Biden and put somebody else in
and make the decision that that ishow they are going to vote, how
(10:46):
do they get back to the Americanpeople and say they're standing for democracy.
And how do they tell the Americanpeople they're standing for democracy if they vote
for Biden, because Biden clearly isnot capable of running the country right now.
Either way. They are kind ofInny Catch twenty two at the moment
if you're trying to make them liveup to the standards which they claim they
(11:09):
support, the Voice of Jenny BethMartin t Partypatriots dot org, GT Party
Patriots dot Org. Jenny Beth,I want to just ask you this question
before we run short on time.Yesterday's Supreme Court ruling. I look at
it, it was kind of astatus quo thing. The president of the
United States has always until Donald Trump, always has had kind of a presumed
(11:30):
immunity against prosecution. That's why theprevious presidents that had been talked about being
indicted, even for drone strikes onAmerican citizens, it never happened. I
looked at it not as a drasticchange. It was just a reaffirmation of
where we've been. Give me yourthoughts. Yeah, I think that that's
exactly right, Jimmy. We presidentshave always presumed to have had immunity.
(11:54):
But with President Trump, the weaponizationthe government is so severe. They are
doing anything they can to get himat any possible angle, and they are
charging him with crimes they don't evenactually really hold up in a court of
law, as we saw with whathappened on Friday with the j six keys
(12:16):
and the fact that some of thecharges against people from January sixth aren't holding
up with the Supreme Court, andthose similar charges were made against against Trump
when he's acting with a president whoeverit may be, is acting officially in
his capacity as president, and hehas been voted on by the American people
(12:37):
and inaugurated into office according to ourconstitutional process. He is the president.
He is the one who has tomake those tough decisions. The bucks stops
with him, and he has tobe able to make those decisions no matter
who he is, with the knowledgethat he can do so without going to
jail in prison. Otherwise, howdo you lead? How do you be?
(12:58):
This superpower? The world is setalways hanging over your head. I
remember I was in doing talk radioat the time, and there were people
who have been with the drone strikeshit American citizens overseas, UH and those
people were brought to justice in acourtroom. It was just a drone strike.
I remember people talking about prosecution andyet it never happened. Maybe that's
(13:22):
right, maybe that's wrong. Butthe Supreme Court really just affirmed what has
always happened, and that is thatthere's a presumption of presumption of immunity for
the president, whether it be Obamaor Trumper or whomever has been talked about
going after him. Jenny Beth Martinalways have fun to talk to you.
I know a Tea Party patriots whoare able to get people involved and give
them some action steps in this politicalpolitical season that we're in. Why do
(13:45):
you find that Tea Party Patriots dotorg today. If you're a Tea Party
Patriots dot org today you can finda call to action on how to protect
the Supreme Court and download our lateste book on how to protect the Supreme
Court and also how to tell Congressto vote for the sieve at the safeguarding
(14:05):
American voter eligibility or citizen only voting, which should be on the floor of
the House next week. Tea PartyPatriots Action Jenny Beth Martin or a chairperson.
And also you will find Tea Party, Patriots dot ORGG some action steps
that you can take. Appreciate herjumping back in. I thought we had
trouble with the phones or phone numberand thought I had to screw up.
But it seems like we're all havingrough days today. It seems like it's
(14:28):
just one of those days. Hey, I want to remind you that if
Jimmy Lakey was going to sell thehouse of Lakey today, I would call
Rob Kittle and the Kittle Team.Rob's been on this program. I've been
talking about him for ten years, and he's such a great guy. A
portion of all of his proceeds andhundreds and hundreds of hundreds of homes that
he sold and help people reach awayto state goals. He gives a portion
of everything to charity and he's donatedbuild homes for our widows and orphans in
(14:52):
Rwanda through my charity and other greatcharities he's a part of. He's a
great part of the community. Butmost of all, he can help your
real estate dreams come true. He'sdone that for hundreds of hundreds of people
over the course of over the courseof many, many years, and he
wants to help you. Why don'tyou reach out to Rob Kittle. You've
got questions about selling your home, real estate transaction, maybe a by buying
(15:15):
a new home. Questions that arekeeping you up at night. Maybe you're
wondering about the interest rates, themarket price, the value. Call Rob
Kittle. Get all the answers youneed to make the right decision for you.
And if you're ready to rock androll, go to his website,
Robkittle dot com. You can havean instant cash offer in about sixty seconds
or so with Rob Kittle dot com. Get that cash offer. He can
give you three offers in seventy twohours. I mean, he's got so
(15:37):
many different ways he can help youreach your real estate goals. You just
got to call him. This isthe call I would make if I was
selling the house of Lakey today,Robkittle dot com, K I T T
L E. Robkittle dot com.Nine seven zero gets sold. Nine seven
zero gets sold. Right before Ifigured out, Jenny Beth Martin was on
the phone, I was talking aboutgoing to meet with Dick Wadhams and I
(15:58):
apologize for the the random thoughts hereat a different studio, and sometimes equipment
works and sometimes it doesn't. Andwe were having a little bit of difficulty
there, but I think we gotit into raps. I went to Dick
Watdhams and I said, hey,I'm thinking about running for office in the
seventh congressional district, and he talkedabout a guy that was going to run,
and I kind of got the feelingthat they wanted this other guy.
(16:19):
Thought maybe he was out of centralcasting. But they never, ever,
ever that I knew, of putthe thumb on the scale of trying to
get this guy. Now, thisguy did win the nomination as a Republican.
He beat a whole field of US. I dropped out a couple of
days before the caucus, knowing thatthere was no path to victory. The
other guys I had the fundraising tocompete with him. But this guy did
(16:41):
win. But the state party nevergave an endorsement of him. They let
the people decide who the candidate shouldbe, and they chose this other cat.
And I think this, I thinkthere's anything that may end up being
the could have been the straw thatbroke the camel's back on Dave Williams.
Is that endorsement process I think wasnot taken lightly. It didn't go over
(17:04):
well with a lot of us outthere. Everybody stand by Laky on the
radio six hundred kcol stick around.More to come.
