I'm want to walk home into theprogram my next guest of the morning.

(00:46):
Quite a resume on the in theIn the World of Security if SEC,
which is an international security organization, has named him the number one security influencer
worldwide, Global security advisor and strategy. It's Chuck or Charles Andrews on the
hotline. Mister Andrews, Welcome tothe program, sir, how are you

(01:07):
great to be here, Jimmy, how are you. I'm doing very well.
Thanks for hopping on here. We'vegot a couple of moments together.
I'm sure you have. From adifferent lens, and a lot of us
on a security level looked at whattranspired on Saturday and just at first blush,
what the heck do you think happened? Obviously there were some errors there
of an unsecured rooftop, et cetera. Give me your analysis of what we

(01:30):
witnessed on from a security perspective, failures and successes on Saturday at the attempted
assassination of Donald Trump. Yeah, absolutely, Jimmy, great to be on
the great to be on the show. Listen, if we had to,
we really need to have our ownshow for two hours to talk about this,
right, to get context around exactlywhat happened. But let's talk about

(01:57):
exactly what transpired that day now,Listen. It's hard for people to understand
unless you come from the world thatI come from, which is the law
enforcement security world. I've been engagedin a lot of conversations, have reviewed
what's been publicly available in terms ofaudio and video, and it's it's it's

(02:23):
really a sad commentary if you knowthat's unfolded. But let me tell you
there are things and protocol that theUnited States Secret Service follows that nobody understands
or appreciates. And unless you've beenin a gun battle, been shot at

(02:43):
shot, nor can appreciate a lotof Monday quarterbacks going on right now.
So listen, everybody's going like, well, why didn't they do this?
And why didn't they do that? And if I was there, you know,
i'd I would have done this andI wouldn't have done that. Yeah,
that's all good and fine. Unlessyou've been there and done that,

(03:06):
you cannot appreciate the nuances of thingsthat are happening in real time and life
death situations. So you know, when it's unfolded, President Trump was actually
you'll notice that as the first threeshots in succession, they were in perfect

(03:30):
tempo boom boom boom. Literally betweenshot one and two, you have a
US Circuit Secret Service agent running uponto the stage to do what they're trained
to do, which is to protectthe president President Trump, and then there

(03:51):
was a volley of shots, fiverapid shots, bang bang, bang,
bang, bang, all in insuccession. Well, as all of this
is happening, you've got counter snipersengaging the shooter which is about approximately four
hundred and fifty feet away, elevatedon the top of a building. All

(04:15):
this is being recorded by probably hundredsand hundreds of cell phones. And in
the course of this investigation, thispost mortem that's going to take place,
there's going to be so much information, every angle, every sound, every
movement, down to a picture Isaw which was one of the Secret Service

(04:39):
agents wearing five to eleven socks.Did you see that, Jimmy, I
did do? Yeah? That oneup? Yeah. So I mean,
look, conspiracies, hypotheticals, allthis is unfolding. So listen, your
Secret Service did a great job underthe circumstance. Ch answers then and there

(05:00):
existing, there are legitimate explanations asto why they did what people thought otherwise
they should not do. For example, why didn't they get him off the
stage so fast? Well, theyhad comms and communication that the shooter was
down. And then somebody else willcome on social media and say, well,

(05:23):
maybe there were more shooters, Sothat's true. Why couldn't they move
the guy any faster? Well, they've got to do a medical assessment as
well as they're covering the president, and that's exactly what they were doing.
So there are some plausible explanations intoSecret Service protocol when you get involved in

(05:44):
these things. What do you thinkabout the perimeter? A lot of folks
talk about this rooftop. How didwe not have someone on that perimeter?
And supposedly the AP is reporting thata local cop went up and confronted the
shooter, the guy pointed a gunat him, and the local cop retreated
and that perimeter was still held bythe shooter. What do you think of

(06:05):
that? So? So, lookpart of I am I am sure that
the US Secret Service, and it'sreferred to as an advance, they go
and check the perimeter, exterior andinterior layers, and when they do that,

(06:25):
they usually use on those outer ringslocal law enforcement or other partner law
enforcement sources. And I think that'sexactly what unfolded here based on what the
AP is reporting. I saw thesame report from other sources where a local
law enforcement person on or near thatbuilding ascended the ladder or got up on

(06:50):
top suspect pointed a rifle at him. He went back down. At the
same time he was taken out byI'm sure US Secret Service counter sniper.
That's the way I'm seeing the informationcome through, like literally in real time.
All of this was happening. Sothe issue is is what happened,

(07:15):
and it's going to be a long, lengthy investigation on exactly what did happen.
Did they not have enough resources manpower? Was the local law enforcement assigned
to that area not paying attention? Were they on their phone? Were they
physically not in an area? Youknow, we don't know, but there'll

(07:39):
be enough camera angles. We're goingto find out in due time. Jimmy
Chuck Andrews on the hotline here isa security analyst and really the top of
the world. Chuck, you've kindof written the book literally on security and
events and things like this. Iffolks want to follow you, I know
you're on LinkedIn. If they wantto follow you, I know, w

(07:59):
you've written book as well. Goahead. Yeah. Thanks. The book
called Yes, Sir and Sir Siris an acronym for strategy, influence and
relationships. So we talk about strategy, intelligence and relationships. Is the basis
in the security industry, of buildingrelationships, of working with people, and

(08:20):
so I really built this for peoplewho want to be in the law enforcement
security industry or transition out of lawenforcement, or want to be the very
best that they can and sir, strategy, intelligence and relationships. So that's
exactly how you do it. Youcan find it on Amazon. Just type
in yes, sir and my nameand it'll pop up. And happy to

(08:43):
talk more about that maybe later onyour show. Thank you got it.
Yeah, I appreciate you, myfriend, and we'll get your scheduled back
on. And he's been done inTexas after the hurricane Barrel helping and getting
focused some of the clean up there, so I appreciate him taking the time
this morning to be on this program. All Right, I got to take
a break. News Talk six hundredkse cool. A lot of moving parts

(09:05):
here, a lot of investigation aregoing to happen. I remember back in
the sixties they only had the Zappruverfilm. Everybody that dang location had a
film of what happened. And it'sall getting released. We'll figure it out.
Everybody stand by six hundred case col
