Matter podcast, The Litigator by Trade. Leyton Gray's leap into the world of
podcasting was fueled by an in quenchablesearch for truth and justice Gray Matter.

(01:51):
He's also the CEO of the AlbertaProsperity Project and name to the top fifty
law years in Canada by the twentytwenty three the Canadian Lawyer Society. Late
and welcome to the program. Thanksfor your patients, Glad to have you
on. Yes, it's my pleasure, Good morning, Good morning. I

(02:12):
do want to get to some foreignpolicy matters of NATO and China and Belarus
and some stories there the original inquiryon having you on the show, but
I want to get your take asa Canadian watching what unfolded here in America
on Saturday. What has been thereaction, What was your reaction? How
is this being viewed across the border? Well, I think, first of

(02:36):
all, just pure horror and astonishment. We have had reverberations in Canada.
For example, the leader of ourConservative Party, which is sort of like
your Republican Party in Canada, hetweeted out the support for Donald Trump,
obviously, but he also made acontroversial statement. He said he was glad
that the shooter was dead. Ofcourse he's being vilified for that. Our

(03:00):
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, which has becomesort of like the Canadian Prava under Justin
Trudeau. Uh. They they theirmessaging was a lot like what we saw
on CNN, where they actually areblaming mister Trump for uh for for the
for the attack on his life, which is as bizarre as it sounds.

(03:21):
And then we had a professor fromthe University of British Columbia who actually joined
in with with the rabble, whosaid that, you know, it's a
shame that the shooter missed. SoI think uh, across the border,
around the world, I think mostCanadians are in support of mister Trump.
But of course we have this thisrabble on the left, this bloodthirsty group

(03:45):
on the left that that seems touh know no bounds and have no sense
of decency uh or or an understandingthat this was a very very serious event
and that it could have resulted inin the death of someone who's likely to
be the next president of the UnitedStates. The voice of Layton Gray.
He's a host of a podcast calledThe Gray Matter Podcast. We'll dive into

(04:08):
that here in just a moment,Leyton. There are very serious issues that
are out there right now. Wehave NATO is really being threatened. You've
got Chinese and Belarus military near theNATO border. You've got communist ships in
and around Venezuela and in around Cubafrom Russia. We have some very serious

(04:32):
issues going on, and we needto have resolute leadership not just into America
and in Canada, but around theglobe. Give me your thoughts about this
again. We get caught up inAmerica on the elections and personalities, but
there's some real serious issues out therearound the globe. Well, yes,
and this certainly ties into the situationwith mister Trump. There's a man named

(04:56):
you've all Harh who your listeners mightknow. He's sort of this this little
Easily man who is Klouse Schwab's righthand person in the World Economic Forum.
He was recently interviewed and I listenedto it, and he said that Trump's
election would be the death of globalism. And not to distill it too much,
but I think what Donald Trump standsfor is the antidote to globalism,

(05:18):
which is sort of a positive expressionof national pride and national dignity, which
globalism, of course is trying todestroy. Meanwhile, we have going on
with NATO sort of an affront.China and Belarus have conducted joint military drills
known as Eagle Assault twenty twenty four, and this is near the Natal border

(05:40):
in Poland. These exercises began onthe fifteenth of July and they're expected to
last for about eleven days, andthese are aimed in increasing military inoperability and
allowing those two countries to work togetheron various military operations. China and Belarus
have been joined together into something calledthe Shanghai Operation Organization since twenty twenty.

(06:02):
And essentially the concern is that theseoperations, which are taking place in a
historic city called Breast, which isin southwestern Belarus. There's only about three
kilometers, are about a couple ofmiles or less from the Polish border and
only about fifteen miles from Ukraine. So these drills involve anti terrorism exercises,

(06:25):
night landings, overcoming water obstacles, and conducting operations in a very populated area.
So the concern is that to NATOmembers is that these are seen as
a response to NATO's growing interest inthe Asia Pacific region and a signal that
China's involved in Europe will continue togrow. So I see this tied into

(06:46):
what's happening with mister Trump, andthat obviously he's expressed very strong opinions about
what's going on in Ukraine. Whenyou listen to his recent debate, if
we can call it that, withmister Biden said the main reason why he's
running is to try and restore andpreserve world peace, and in that he
has my support and the support ofbillions of people around the world. But

(07:10):
I think what we're seeing is inconjunction with this huge election in the United
States, kind of a confluence ofgeopolitical events internationally that all that all sort
of tying into whether or not misterTrump becomes the next president of the United
States. The voice of Layton Gray. He's a host of the Gray Matter

(07:32):
podcast, Laton. While you're onthe on the horn with us, you
mentioned mister Trudeau just a moment ago, talk about it. America's Americans don't
follow I think I go to Africaall the time, and my friends in
Africa sometimes know about world events inAmerica, but more than I know,
even in this job, and sowe don't tend to follow what happens in

(07:54):
Canada. But during the COVID crisis, we sure did follow it. It
seemed like Justin Trudeau was not necessarilyfriendly to freedom. What's the political atmosphere
right like in Canada right now andwith mister Trudeau, Well, mister Trudeau,
much like McCrone in France, isunder a great deal of scrutiny and

(08:18):
pressure. He's the least popular primeminister in the history of polling. He's
about as popular as a bad smelland a gas station toilet right now in
Canada. He has no chance rightnow of winning the next election, which
unfortunately would not be until October ofnext year. A couple of things that
are causing a lot of pressure onmister Trudeau. Firstly, his disastrous policies

(08:45):
which are coming right out of theWorld Economic Forum ever since he became Prime
Minister in twenty fifteen, and that'sdestroying our economy. We have a lot
of the same problems as in theUS in terms of mass immigration, high
inflation, increasing time, and ourGDP is falling like a stone. We're
now forty percent below individual GDP incomparison to Americans then we used to run

(09:09):
along pretty closely. That's that's oneserious problem. The other, really big
one he has is that it's becomingincreasingly clear, in fact, it's obvious
that the CCP the Chinese are actuallycontrolling him. We have proven interference Chinese
interference in our last two national elections. So for Americans, imagine if everything

(09:33):
that that that Hillary Clinton said aboutthe twenty sixteen election and Russia were actually
true in two separate elections, andso it's becoming increasingly clear that Justin Trudeau's
time is done. The problem isthat, much like what's happened in France
recently, he's formed a coalition witha third party which is full on communists,

(09:56):
that's able to maintain his thin holdon power in Canada. But the
short answer your question is most peoplein Canada, over seventy percent want him
gone. But he's covering up alot of corruption. And meanwhile, the
other thing that's really upsetting people isfor Canada over fourteen billion dollars to Ukraine
another five hundred million last year, and so a or last week, I

(10:20):
should stay at the Natal get togetherin Washington, And so Canadians are very
upset with a lot of the samethings, a lot of same policies that
the Biden administration is institute in theUnited States. Leighton Gray is my guest
host of the Great Matter podcast.Layton, I know you're a litigator by
trade. You're the CEO of theAlberta Prosperity Project. Tell us about the

(10:45):
podcast. If folks want to followyou online, where do they find you
and what can they expect in yourpodcast? Well, thanks for asking.
The podcast is available anywhere you wouldfind podcasts so places like Apple, Spotify,
Rumble YouTube. If people want toget involved and follow us, that

(11:05):
would be great. The best wayto do that would be on our X
page, which is at Gray MatterConval but we're also on Instagram and Facebook
and other platforms. I just wantto mention some really great news before I
go. I don't know if youcaught this or your port on this,
but Judge Allen Cannon has dismissed thecriminal case against Donald Trump. This is

(11:26):
the case going on in Florida, and Clarence Thomas has called for all the
charges against Donald Trump to be droppedimmediately. So this is very good news
for those of us who support misterTrump and the conservative view of things,
both in the United States and globally. Yeah, but I got that.
I just saw the ruling about ita couple of minutes ago from the judge

(11:46):
in Florida. We'll get to thatin the next segment, Light and Gray.
If somebody wants to listen to theGreat Matter podcast, give a little
summary of what the podcast is about. Well, it's a lot of the
things that you cover on your show. It's basically a collection of ideas people
come together. Will we cover politics, geopolitical politics, culture, even sports.

(12:07):
So it's kind of a mixed bag. The idea is to get people
thinking and talking and promoting freedom ofspeech, which, as you know,
is under attack absolutely everywhere. LaytonGray. Now that's spelled g R e
y the podcast. You can findit, iHeart everywhere in the podcast are
found Gray Matter Podcast g R ey Matter podcast dot com or just search

(12:30):
for that. Don't put the dotcom there. Late and Gray, appreciate
you hopping on the program. We'llhave you on again sometime in the near
future. I appreciate you hopping onthe with us today. Hey, have
you stopped going to the dentists?Sometimes those dental habits, you know,
that's why when you leave the dentist, they want you to set your next
appointment and give you that little remindercard or send you a textan on your
calendar because they know you're not goingto probably just call randomly in schedule a

(12:52):
dentist appointment. Nobody really wants todo that, right, And so if
you've kind of gotten out of thehabit, you didn't schedule your six month
or three month cleaning or whatever, and your family's out of the practice of
it. It's having to get backinto better practice. And you make that
call to Trail Ridge Dental. Theyhave an office in Longmont and in Johnstown.
School is going to start up herein several weeks and make sure the

(13:13):
kids are all ready to go backto school with some clean choppers, the
basic dental cleaning. Maybe you haven'tstarted the kids on the orthodonics. You've
been thinking about it, there's stilltime to do that. They can handle
all of your basic family dental needsfrom ages three and up and then listen.
They can also help you some cosmeticthings, whether whether it's implants or
whitening, and other procedures you mightwant to do. Listen. They can

(13:35):
help you the full range of dentistry. It's Trail Ridge Dental dot com.
Trail Ridge Dental dot com. Theyhave an office again at Johnstown and in
Longmont. So pick wherever you wantto go and make sure you get in
there and get that dental stuff schedulefor you and your family. To pick
the locations. Doctor Sean Visker andassociates are just amazing and I think you

(13:58):

com, Trail Ridgdental dot com,be sure to tell them that Jimmy Lakey's

we've got a lot of news andinformation circulating out there regarding the assassination
attempt on President Trump, and alsowith the Republican Convention starting tonight, are

(14:22):
starting actually today in Milwaukee. We'llcontinue to cover it all week long.
Also, Chuck out Andrews, who'son the program, security specialist. He
texted me he says we can talkmore tomorrow as more information. So I've
scheduled him back on the program fortomorrow. So that I've scheduled him back

(14:43):
on the program for tomorrow. Sorry, I'm getting messages popping in on all
sorts of stuff. I'm getting himback on the program tomorrow to talk more
about some of these videos about theshooter that was on the roof, the
TikTok videos and the viral videos goingaround people screaming there's a guy the roof,
there's a go on the roof. We'll have Chuck Andrews back on the
show tomorrow. All right, acouple of other breaking new snippets. I'll

(15:05):
try to track down the information.During this break, a judge in Florida
has dismissed the classified documents case. The judge has ruled not against the case,
it's merit, but says that accordingto this has been an argument along
that Special Council Jack Smith was unlawfullyappointed. Former I'll get to the information.

(15:28):
They basically say, Special Council JackSmith is granted in accordance with his
order. Judge Cannon said the supersedingindictment is dismissed because the Special Council's appointment
violates the Appointments Clause of the UnitedStates Constitution. So the judge says,
listen, I don't care about thecase at all. This guy doesn't have

(15:48):
legal standing to be appointed as aSpecial Council. And there's there's been arguing
a lot. We'll get break downthat in the next segment of the show
as possible. Also, Trump hasnow told Fox News that his VP pick
is coming today, So keep itright here on six hundred KCl. I'll
keep a sharp eye on it onmy computer and I'll be accessible with you
via Facebook and Twitter, et cetera, X and truth social But Trump tells

if it happens in the next littlebit, we'll talk about it right here
on this radio show. Well, breaking news everywhere. My phone's going nuts
right about now, Emails popping inabout the cannon decision, getting ready throwing
that case out in Florida. TheVP pick is forthcoming anytime now. It's

(16:37):
a big day, breaking news inAmerica, and Lakey's got it right here.
