Speaker 1 (00:00):
A serious firm for serious cases. I want to bring
(00:03):
into the conversation our first guest of the morning, mister
Gregory Wrightstone, talk about a couple of little things with him,
but I know he's also just told me he's in
Tampa waiting a hurricane to head his way. Greg Right, So,
good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Sir, Oh, good morning. Yeah. We're about fifteen miles south
of Tampa, right on the close to the bay. And
of course that Hurricane Helene now looks like it'll gather strength,
probably land as a category three a further north of us.
But of course, if you're on the eastern side of
(00:37):
a hurricane, that's where the most intense, the highest winds are,
in the most dangerous place. But we're going to stay put.
If it was a little bit further south, we'd definitely
be in the mandatory evacuation area. But we're good, and
it probably hit here tomorrow sometimes, so I know you're
(00:59):
always good.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
You're used to it, used to after these hurricanes, After Katrina,
after big hurricane flood, they said this is a sign
of climate change, in global warming. Are you expecting to
hear some of that after this one? Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Absolutely? You know, going into this if you go back
and look at the NOAH National Oceanographic and Atmosphere Administration's
predictions for this year. They were predicting the biggest hurricane
season ever. And what's happened this is now I think
three in the Golf of Mexico. It's actually one of
the lowest step. Of course, nobody ever holds them to
(01:34):
account on their predictions of going forward, because if you do,
we will find that most of the predictions made about
linking climate change to buyers, droughts, hurricanes, tornadoes, or the
facts tell us something completely different. And for the hurricanes,
I looked at every state bordering the Golf of Mexico
(01:55):
and the Atlantic seaboard to find that all every single
state except Mississippi had a declining number of landfalling hurricanes.
And that's the best barometer we have of measuring the
number of hurricanes. Land falling hurricanes. We can take that
back to eighteen fifty pretty confidently, because if a hurricane
(02:19):
made landfall, you couldn't miss it. But some of these
others that might rise up and then dissipate. Back in
the eighteen hundreds and before nineteen before satellite stoppware, satellites
came into use. They're pretty ify the numbers, but landfalling,
we do know for sure they have been in Declarine thankfully.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Gregory, right, so, my guests, he's the author of a
book called a Very Convenient Warming, How modest Warming and
more CO two are benefiting humanity. We'll talk about his
organization as well. I'm the best Hoving author of another
book called Inconvenient Facts. We'll get into all that here
in just a moment in this election season, Gregory, I
wanted to bring you on because as you are the
(03:01):
executive director of the CO two Coalition, and I hear
that the Democrat Party is wanting to increase literacy in
our public schools on climate change, adding climate change related
materials into the curriculum. While students performed maybe badly in
math or English, we want to have some federal mandate
that they have to learn some climate change in doctrination.
(03:23):
And I'm guessing it's not going to be the facts
or the information you would give them if you were
providing the curriculum, not at all.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
We're deeply here at the CO two Coalition. We're deeply
involved with combating in doctrination of our students in the
science sciences. You may not realize. Your listeners will be
shocked to hear that. More than thirty years ago they
removed teaching of the scientific method from the science curricula,
(03:50):
and so even today, forty eight of the fifty states
still do not teach the scientific method, which after all
does the underlying principle principles is debating and looking at
all sides of an issue and having a free and
open debate. But they don't have that. They have a
friend of things, but not climate change. Everyone from our side,
(04:14):
by our side, the skeptic side that doesn't see a
climate crisis, we're silenced, and so they're big proponents of
consensus science rather than the true scientific method. We actually
we've got scientific comic books that are wonderful that we've
published and those are available at co two Learningcenter dot com.
(04:35):
Co two Learning Center dot com. And we also have
free lesson plans. You've got a child or a grandchild,
or people that you know they're homeschooling of their children,
we have free lesson plans, and these lesson plans are
on recycling the scientific method, the interact greenhouse effect that
(04:58):
you can teach your child. The crews about climate change
and science, photosynthesis and the light. So we're fighting this.
We had one success last year in North Carolina they
voted to reinstate the scientific method in their curriculus. So
(05:18):
we're launching an effort statewide and we will get to
Colorado to advance scientific method and teaching. In fact, we
were last spring. We attended the National Science Teaching Association's convention.
We had a double booth. We were providing scientific materials
about climate change, and we published a paper or actually
(05:42):
a small booklet challenging the nsta's position on climate change,
and they kicked us out. Their high muckety MUCKs came
down on the second day and said, you have to
remove your materials. You can't be criticizing us at our
own convention. And I told them, you're you're going to
if I don't remove the scientific material and they didn't
(06:04):
point out one thing that we had wrong going to
you're going to expel us. He said, that's right, take
it down or get out. Well we got out. We
walked out with our heads held high and just proved
that in doctrination and group think are alive and well
in the twenty first century.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
It's coming to a school near you going to be
promoted by the Democrat Party if they win. They're talking
about it now that they've got to educate American K
through twelve students in in climate literacy and be prepared,
my friends, and be ready to well make sure you
just don't elect those folks. Yes, go ahead, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
One of the in my new book, I have a
whole page of twenty eight quotes on consensus and probably
my favorite. Again they're relying on consensus science. One of
my favorite quotes is from Richard Feiman, who stated, I
would rather have questions that can't be answered, then answers
that can't be questioned. And right now that's what we
(07:04):
have in climate change. They're telling us the answer and
you dare not question it. So again I agree with
doctor Fiman that we should and welcome answer questions that
can't be answered, but fight back against this the answer
of climate change that can't be questioned.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Gregory Rights. And the folks want to get a copy
of your book, A Very Convenient Warming, that's your latest
how modest warming and CO two are benefiting humanity, or
they want to know how to make sure their kids
are not indoctrinated and learn real science. Where do they go?
Speaker 2 (07:34):
Greg Well, I would google or search for just two
words convenient warming. You go to my website by direct
there or Amazon. A lot of people buy from Amazon,
and to learn more about the facts on climate change,
go to CO two Coalition dot org. Co two Coalition
dot org.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
Gregory right ston't always a pleasure, my friend. Stay safe
in the hurricane that you're about to encounter, and I
appreciate you hopping on the program to
