Speaker 1 (00:00):
Alrighty, then how's everybody doing? It's It is a glorious day.
The Lord has made anybody see that full moon this morning.
There was a benefit today of waking up well before
the sun came up and getting in the car and driving.
It was beautiful. That full moon was absolutely positutely gorgeous,
and I hope you've got to enjoy it. If not,

(00:21):
well that's the early bird gets the worm and the moon.
So we got the moon today. So it's a it's
a good day. Nice to have you here. Any bitter.
Where the poly market is, it's become much more of
a I guess a trend to following this election cycle.
It's the world's largest prediction market. It's basically the betting
it's one of the world's largest betting platforms. And you
can put money on world events like presidential elections, and

(00:44):
you do with cryptocurrency. There's ways to do that well.
The poly markets the last couple of weeks have had
a neck and neck presidential race. This is where people
are actually not polls. This is like, hey, I put
my money on. This is how confident I feel. The
poly market has really swung for the betting markets have
really swung over for Donald Trump. Not sure what it
all means, but it's something that a lot of folks
are following this year, because this is not somebody answering

(01:08):
a polster question. This is people actually putting their money
down on the table and say, no, I'll bet you
this happens. We'll see. Let me bring you to the
conversation as we do every week, Steve Laffy Steve Laffy
dot com. And maybe you've watched his film, his movie,
maybe you've read his book, maybe you've listened to him
on the radio show. But he's a friend of the
show with us every week at this time, Steve Laughy,

(01:29):
Good morning, sir, how are you.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Jimmy so great to be with you. A great show
this morning, and we wish Uncle Benny the best.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Uncle Benny, I don't know, were you aware of all
that stuff? You're a Laramer County guy. Were you aware
of all that stuff happening in District three? I mean
shutting down businesses because of a balloon?

Speaker 2 (01:47):
No, I have no idea. I don't even get the
local paper, because I mean the local paper one wants
to charge more than the Wall Street Journal these days,
and they put out some don't even put out the
sports section till two days later, so I really don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Well, if may go watch a video, I put up
the video. It's up in my Facebook Facebook dot com slash.
You'll be thanking fan page. You'll see Tiffany Ward, who's
on my show yesterday. She's in this video and somebody
said it to me that has an actual clip of
the county commissioner of this lady going, I want to
revoke her license for that balloon revoke and then she
actually would talked about later, I want to go to
the backco and rip up all the greenery with a backo. So,

(02:20):
anytime you got a politician threatening you with a baco,
it's usually a bad thing because if they got forty
acres in a bag of lie and a backo, it
ain't gonna end easy for you. It's not going to
be good. So gotta be careful. Let's talk about this.
The poly market. Polling has been how we usually follow
presidential elections, but even this morning you sent me the
presidential election predictions that are happening in the betting market.

(02:44):
What do you read into this?

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Yeah, I think it's much better than polling, So it's
off by as I said since twenty fifteen on your
show about Donald Trump winning with people thought I was
nuts and I'm not a big thing of Donald Trump
in his policies as you know many especially the deficits
that are going on. But yes, he was forty eight
percent when I went on both your show and said

(03:08):
he's going to win. Into the substack, he's going to win. See,
he was not favored. But I could see what, as
I've said from politics a long time, I could see
the walking door to door with this Cheney combined with
Tim Waalts doing Muslim speeches that would help him in
Minnesota but wouldn't help the election in fact cost them votes.
They are out now out on terrain where they're just
taking the ugly tac you know, and you could just

(03:30):
see that this is like a lost cause from there's
only one caveat left in this election? Is that? Did
Donald Trump? Hear? William Barr went on a Friday Night
He's after he lost the election lost the election in
twenty twenty and said, mister President, you ran a complete
and then I can't say what he said, What's call
it a crap show of an election? Does Donald Trump

(03:53):
have election lawyers ready everywhere in Philly, in Scranton, in
places that a state he's going to win. Does he
have them? Does he have to get the vote people?
Does he have does he does he have a setup?
Because he's not known for this member. He doesn't know
how to run things. And this is the problem. Why
so many people run things for him and when they leave,
he says, they stink. This is one of the big

(04:13):
problems of Donald J. Trump. So does he have that?
Does his son put it in place? The son could
do it. Does someone put it in place and spend
fifty million bucks to make sure that they get the
votes theyre supposed to get? That? I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Supposedly the rn C has this massive get out of
the vote effort. They have they've been seeking lawyers. And
his daughter in law's on the rs she's the coacha
of the RNC. Now again, the proofs in the putting,
we won't know till a election day. But suppose that
they have fixed all the gaps that they had in
twenty twenty, we will see, Steve, we shall see.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Right right, And that's it. Other than that, it's over.
Everybody should go home and have some pizza. It's over.
And you can tell as I sent you some articles
we could talk about, but you can tell it as
the papers turn, right, even what is supposedly a conservative
paper try to turn against Donald Trump, and people at Brokerage,
Firbs and all these people who are who are really

(05:06):
the mainstream disaster of this country. They've turned against Donald
Trump and are putting out things that make no sense
at all.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yeah, let's kind of dive into some of these things
you sent me. First of all, there's a headline, I
believe Wall Street Journal that and you already mentioned this
that Donald Trump was you know, he was not some
fiscal conservative by some traditional way that we defined an
fiscal conservative. And there's a headline here that deficits would
rise under Donald Trump more than they would rise under

(05:35):
Kamala Harris. This came out October the eighth.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Which makes no sense. It's obviously these economists of the
same people who said inflation was tranitory, they wouldn't be
inflation when I told you people on your show in
April twenty twenty, inflation was coming in the next eighteen months,
and it came. I mean, these are things that are
obvious and so yes, not only did. On October eighth,
the journal run that deficis would be high. Run to
Trump and Harris what they have no evidence for? Right?

(06:02):
I mean, is it really better to give people fifty
thousand dollars tax breaks when they start their own company
send six thousand dollars to people who have children and checks,
or is it better to send five thousand like under Trump?
Like like? What's the depth is going to be huge
under either administration, whether someone gets their act together or
forced to get their act together by rising bondiels, which

(06:23):
is what has already started to happen. But they couldn't
stop the general No one read the article was only
on page like A seven, So they go to page
A two two days ago on the fourteenth, and run
a Biggert story. The biggest story headlines is the same
economisty higher inflation with Trump. That's it. There's no real
They don't find people like me who say, what are
you talking about? They have people talking about tariffs and

(06:46):
as if tarofts wt one cause inflation, which we know
they don't. They may have higher prices in the short
term for demands for goods that might be inelastic, not
to get too technical people, but they don't cause inflation,
just like supply chains didn't cause inflation. Money did. But
there's a whole host of people, and I think all
of them teach either at CSUCU or any of these

(07:07):
state colleges around the country, who don't know what they're
talking about. They have no idea what they're talking about.
But my point is that even at Morgan Stanley they're
talking about copper and how copper prices will get out
hard if Trump's elected. The whole thing is preposterous, but
it's going to come out every single day. The goodness is,
people really don't pay attention that much of this stuff anymore.

(07:29):
They just go ahead and vote. And we have a
very divided country. And what has happened is that the
Harris Waltz people have never tried to get the middle like,
they've never tried to find the undecided voter, and where
they are on the hook for I sent you another
article about transgender people right, about people who are men

(07:49):
who are swimming with girls. And people hate this. I mean,
Billy jing King hates it. I mean people hate it, right.
But the Democrats are caught on this one. And this
is a great issue for people in congressional races and
in Senate races and the presidential race, where they can't
undo the fact that they are beholden. Before they are

(08:10):
beholden to Union, the Democratic Party, they have beholden to
crazy communist left wing people who think it's perfectly okay
for a fifteen year old boy to put on a
women's bathing suit, or if they want, and hop in
a pool and destroy a young girl's dreams of winning
a swim race. The Democrats think that's perfectly fine, and

(08:31):
it's going to cost them the election.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Do you see that story yesterday that Kamala URIs is
on tape of saying that she believes every prisoner should
have access to gender confirming therapy, meaning a sex change,
And the story came out yesterday, They had the audio.
But then somebody that killed two people on a boat
hooked them like to a boat anchor and dropped them
to the bottom. That they were trying to quote steal
their money so they could have a sex change, went

(08:55):
to prison, life in prison, but under Kamala Harris got
the sex change in prison that they are actually killed
two people to get. And the family's horrified by this.
And I think this is also something that you hear
people respond to say, really, that's what we're going to
be doing is sex change operations in prison. But you're right,
they've they've rung the bell, and I think they're gonna
have a tough time on ringing that yep.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
And these things are vote vote costs. They lose votes.
I don't care what people say, napole of ninety percent
of Americans like what like what? And these are the
things that the Trump campaign is hitting on in the
states that they are competitive, right, what they're not going
to see these ads in Coloradica's the state's lost, right.

(09:39):
But these are the things that the undecided vote is like.
I didn't know that. That's why I go back to
these things, like even getting Walls to be your vice
presidential candidate means you think you're you don't even care,
you have some other agenda. It's probably being on the
view after you're the vice president, I suppose because having
Shapiro are even better an astronaut, the vice presidential candidate

(10:02):
could have won the election among undecided people. But they
can't do that in the Democratic Party. They couldn't even
when they switched away from Biden, as I told you
for four years they would. They waited too late and
never a loot would have been the healthy thing. A
giant cis fight in a brawl among five candidates who
weren't named Harris and coming up with somebody who was

(10:23):
semi normal, who wasn't attached right attached to Biden's disastrous
politics policies. They couldn't do it, so they lose. It's over.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Did you see Donald Trump saw the video? This morning?
He appeared at the Chicago Economic Club event and he
was being interviewed on stage by a reporter from Bloomberg,
and they announced that Kamala Harris refused the invitation give
credit where credits?

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Dude.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Trump sat down and went head to head with a
guy from Bloomberg and they got a tit tat for
about tariffs. And he told the guy from Bloomberg who
said that what he said, well, mister Trump, tariffs are
going to raise inflation. They're going to do this, and
Trump looked at him. It's funny audio. He said, Well,
like you've always been your entire career, You're wrong. It
was pretty good changed there.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
It was.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
If you haven't seen it, you gotta.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Watch it and I will watch you. I haven't seen anyone.
But that gets back to Harris saying that Trump that
won't go see anybody. Yet Trump shows up everywhere. It
doesn't matter, it just shows up. Good for him. I mean,
I disagree with, for example, putting tariffs on everybody. As
you know, I've said no trading with China publicly since
two thousand and five when I ran for the US Senate.

(11:28):
I've said it over and over, made a movie about it.
I've been right. Trump hasn't even listening. Forget about tariffs
on England and Canada and Australia. We need free trade
packs with all these people because free trade does improve
people's lives. But we need no trading with communists and
people who are against us. And we need to destroy
Iran in the capability and help Israel do it. These

(11:51):
things are obvious, but that they're not really going to happen.
That would increase economic growth, you know, but having tariffs
on it doesn't nothing to do with inflation. Inflation has
always been everywhere about money. Now we're gonna have inflation
because under either candidate, they're gonna just print money, right,
They're gonna oversee the Federal Reserve Board. They're gonna all
these things have to happen because now we've passed the

(12:13):
point of no return. The extra government debt created under
Trump seven point eight trillion dollars at another whatever, eight
trillion for mister Biden, have to get through eight trillion
of Obama and four trillion a Bush. You know, all
this stuff means that now as we increase government debt,
it produces less than fifty percent in economic growth. So what'screwed?

(12:35):
Everybody listens totally host that's a whole different topic. Yeah,
but when it comes to the election, it's pretty much over.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Yeah, watching go watch. I'm trying to find a video
of it, but it's the interview he spoke there. But
he also did an interview with the guy from Bloomberg
and it's really it was kind of fun. It was
fun to watch. Let me ask you this question here
Steve Laughing, my guests, Steve Laughy dot Com. A couple
more minutes. Every couple of weeks, Donald Trump comes up
with a new, I guess campaign thing. We're gonna we're
going to have no taxes on tips, no taxes on overtime.

(13:04):
And I think he's come out with another one. Oh,
we're going to be make your car interest in your
car loan. That's going to be totally tax deductible. Your
thoughts on these campaign items that come out, they sound
real good on a campaign ad, I guess, but your thoughts.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
They're really stupid and they're not really helping Trump and
not hurting Trump because Harris is doing it. So but
it really shows where America is where you can actually
just appeal to continually to small groups of people, not
the people then on cars and have car loans, and
they do, but you can actually take these special interests

(13:41):
and just keep appealing to them no tips, right, and
not really tick off the general population to the point
where they're not going to vote for you. I didn't
vote for Trump, Don't get me wrong. I say he's
going to win. I'm not voting for him, and I
never voted for him. So but these things just continue
to happen. He'll have read more before the end of
the election cycle, right, and it'll be no taxes on

(14:04):
you know people would would you know, colleagues or dogs
or I don't know what. It'll be free food for dogs.
It'll be something that someone with a dog might be
now saying, Wow, that's pretty good. I like that idea.
And that's the problem because of the public schools have
been so bad for forty years. People actually don't know
what he's talking. They don't know the deficit. They're not
concerned about it. They will be when and it's starting

(14:26):
to happen. As I've said a year ago, it's gonna
start happening. It's starting to happen. They will be when,
for example, the Fed cut interest rates, but the ten
year yield starts to go up, and your mortgage rates
for buying a new name, oh, go up. That that's
that's going to continue to happen. And that's a real
problem and it's gonna get worse. But but but that's
what Trump's gonna keep doing it. And we never saw

(14:48):
this before quite like this. I mean, remember to go
to the Jimmy Carter library and see his ads when
he ran for president. Jimmy Carter nineteen seventy six, everybody
who has on welfare to work. That's a TV commercial
from a Democrat in seventy six. Fast forward to today
and you have a totally different world. Jimmy.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
It's really sad that ad would be considered racist. If
you ran that today from a Democrat, you couldn't do that, Steve,
I don't know if you saw this, and we we
gotta cut it off here. But Kamala Harris put she
decided she wants to have an economic based, opportunity based economy,
and they were getting on her because she was losing
huge numbers of the meanings Donald Trump could get as

(15:29):
much a black vote as goes back to nineteen sixty.
I mean, that's how huge this shift has happened. And
so she came out yesterday with an economic plan, and
her economic plan basically said we're going to give you
tax incentives in the black community to start marijuana type businesses.
It it was the most bizarre thing, like really, and
somebody posted to say, hey, white people like we'd also

(15:51):
we need some of that as well. So but it's
again the dumbing down of the schools. People go, oh,
that's real good. That'd be a good business for me
in my community. But it's just upid stuff that comes
out and it's happening. Steve Laffy, it's a pleasure, my friend.
God bless you. Steve Laffi dot com, Steve Laffy dot
com let me say it again. L A F. F
e Y Steve Laffy dot com. Yeah, there was something else.
