(00:00):
You almost didn't recognize me. No, I'm just kidding. Well, you
know, it is interesting you bringthis up, and I'm glad you did
well. You even said coming inYou're like, yeah, oh yeah,
you can talk about it. Yeah, so what, no big deal.
But yeah, this is the firsttime I've seen you with no makeup.
I was running late and I didn'twant I didn't want to be late,
so I just grabbed my makeup asI was heading out the door, and

(00:23):
I was like, you know what, Mark won't care, you know,
Blazer and Josh they don't care,Zach, and so I'll just show up
and we're on the radio and noone can see, so talk about it.
It's the beautiful part of it.I mean, half the time look
at us, and I don't wantto say us because I'm going to speak
more for me. You know, most of the time I look homeless when
I come in here. So well, we enjoy that because we're just a

(00:46):
voice, and where you have toget all gussied up, right, I
can't do enjoying it, Like Ihave my eyelashes sitting here in a big
box of all sorts of fun things, and I'll be putting on while I'm
here. I mean some of yourcommercial Let's be honest, I know the
folks out there. Some of thecommercials are long. So I'll just work
in the commercials. Absolutely. Andwhat's interesting, I can't wait. Maybe

(01:08):
we'll have her do it live whenshe's putting the eyelashes on, although that
could be I don't know if that'stricky or whatever. She has a but
she has a nail gun for these, you guys, So this could get
this could get painful. I guessyou're like, hey, can you hold
this side of the nail gun.I'm like, no, I'm not involved
in that. I'm not I needyour house. No, I'm no.

(01:30):
You're like, well, I justall hold still want to see it carefully,
so you do actually glue those on? Yeah, and you've had one
fall off while you were on thenews, right, Like, I mean,
they're fake eyelashes. They come offwhen you are really not hoping for
that to happen. And yeah, they're I mean, they're just they're trash.

(01:53):
And I wear them because I thinkit helps I don't know it accentuates,
yeah, yeah or whatever. Well, So here's the thing. If
you I wonder if you just wenton and did the news without those,
but you had your rest of yourmakeup the way you typically wear it.
Huh would people You would probably immediatelyget people going, uh, you look

(02:14):
different, something still tired? Isthat what it was? Sure they would
say something like that. It justkind of brightens up my eyes a little
bit or maybe distracts you from otherthings that maybe going on with my makeup.
I don't know. Is there somethingmost most women in TV wear fake
eyelashes? Oh? Yeah, yeah, we've talked about that, and I
think it's interesting that this is thefirst time I've seen you like this.

(02:36):
But allow me to tell the listenersthat you would still recognize station if you
saw her in the grocery store,at the pool or whatever, if you
saw her without makeup, because there'syeah, you you wear a decent amount
of makeup. But that's part ofthe TV thing. I get it.
But then there are some I'm tellingyou that they they literally would be incognito

(02:57):
if they did not have makeup on. That sounds great, I think,
And some of them are on likeFox News. I'll see them and I'm
like, I bet you wouldn't evenrecognize them. Wow, you're not like
the place well, that's very nice. You're recognizable. I really well.
And also I think I was wearingthe rest of the anchor get up,
you know, So I had mymy looks from the neck down in my

(03:22):
little anchor costume. So I'm justputting the rest of the pieces in place
to start the day. Normally Itry to come in and just be ready
to start the day, but wehave a sick kiddo at home, so
everything is just a little out ofsorts this morning getting out of the out
of the house. So and Joshwas not in here for when you were
telling me earlier some stuff. Buthow about this, Josh? She goes,

(03:45):
h, well, you know,we had steak for lunch. I'm
like, well, I'm that nice. Josh and I are in here.
I'm eating soup and Josh is havinglike I think, like some cheetahs or
something. I don't even have.Oh that sounds ummy. I'm not having
cheetos. Well, I don't know. It was like something formal? Is
my point? Are you having abaked potato? I got it. I
went to windows and got my bakedpotato. So and so she's telling me

(04:06):
she had steak for lunch. Iwas like, Wow, that's that's yeah.
So that's how the o the carnivore. Yeah, Spences, he's very
meat. He'd be nice to haveTV money instead of this chicken scratch radio
garbage they pay us. Yeah,no doubt. Well, I don't do
any of the cooking at my house, Spences the cook, and so I

(04:27):
eat what he makes, which ismeat, all the time. Like there
are no side dishes at our house. That's not our thing. That's how
he lost a lot of maintaining.Yeah, so he doesn't want to go
carb crazy. Is your steak andchicken and very rarely like pasta? Oh
never? Like yeah, we neverthat at our house. Yeah. No's
that you're like you gained forty onepounds in one meal or you feel like

(04:53):
yeah no. So he made steaktoday and so I had steak and strawberries
for lunch. Yeah, that's agood way to start today. Interesting pair
strawberries this evening. We'll be havingstick with strawberry with strawberries delicious. Did
you do anything to strawberries? Rinsedthem? That's it, that's it.

(05:15):
What else are you supposed to dowith this strawberry? I don't know it.
On top of short cake with whippedcream. Oh that sounds good.
I am a dessert girl. Yeah, but you know again, so they
don't do any of the cooking, then I'm just not. I had this
cauliflower rice chicken soup that my wifemade. You were describing that, and
it sounds amazing. I know peoplemight be going, oh, listening to

(05:40):
me say that, but listen, don't knock it till you try it.
If you like chicken and rice, that's basically what you're getting minus the car
and you're getting a nice, big, huge helping of vegetables, which was
one thing that I learned from Awakein one eighty. You can use that
substitute with different, you know, different things. Cauliflowers one of those foods
that can become anything you wanted tobe. It takes on the flavor of

(06:01):
whatever you put with, especially inthe rice form, the colorad rice form.
But you get that frozen in abag, throw it in the mic
awave for however long, and itcomes out it's perfect. And then you
combine it with whatever it is tomake it really really tasty. Meant the
spices and all the yummy stuff thatyou haven't or regular chicken noodle soup.
It sounds awesome. Absolutely, you'regoing for two in a row today.

(06:25):
Stumpstasia is coming up, so thiscould be she could be undefeated in the
month of April. Please do that. We'll see. Yeah, so that's
coming up in a little bit.So OJ number thirty two, juice has
passed. That's it. I didn'teven realize he had cancer. I didn't
either, honestly. That seat thatwas a surprise, and which is kind

(06:45):
of a surprise in itself that therewere things that we hadn't learned about OJ
Simpson. At this point, itfelt like he was pretty open with his
opinions and his thoughts on things. These days, I feel like he was
always willing to share it. ThingsI'll never forget when they busted him being
in that it was the memorabilia thingand he was in the hotel room,

(07:06):
and I'm like, dude, yougot away with murder. You didn't get
you didn't do any time for murder, and you get you gotta be a
special kind of stupid to do whatwas going on there. And then that's
kind of lost on me. Idon't even remember exactly the way all that
played out. I just remembered thinkingduring that time that you literally got away

(07:28):
with murder, or so it seems. But if the glove doesn't fit,
you must have quit. If youremember all of that, I don't.
Who knows, right, I mean, all the signs point to he got
away with it, and then herehe goes doing something dumb with regard to
the memorabilia or what have you,and I just those are the things that
stand out. The other, obviouslybig one was this big pop culture moment

(07:49):
when hit him in ac Al Collingswere in the White Bronco, the infamous
low speed chase that happened in LosAngeles and the highways there, and do
you remember where you were when thatwas going on? Do you remember what
you were doing? Because you thinkabout people go they remember if they were
alive, they remember where they werewhen John Lennon was shot in December nineteen

(08:13):
eighty, they remember when Reagan wasshot. You can go down the list
of things that people go, Iwas here doing this during that And do
you remember, Josh what you weredoing chase? I don't remember. I
remember where I was for the verdictbecause it happened during class, like in
the middle of the school day.So I remember the trial because it was

(08:35):
on all summer long when we wereall out of school, But I don't
remember where I was for the chase. Where were you? Do you remember?
Yeah, Josh, do you rememberwhere you were? Yes? In
my bedroom in Minster, Ohio, watching the Rangers and the Vancouver Canucks in
Game seven of the Stanley Cup Finalsand flipping between that. Wow, flipping

(08:58):
between that and the the Eastern ConferenceFinals of Indiana and the New York Knicks.
So I remembered. I knew thatyou, I thought to myself without
even because I didn't ask you beforewe went on, and I on purpose
to because I go, I guaranteeyou have that kind of stuff you always
have, like a marker for Yeah. I mean it was that was a

(09:20):
huge. It was June sixteenth, nineteen ninety four. That's the exact day
to happened. And I remember justbecause the Rangers were going after their first
Stanley Cup in like fifty some yearsor whatever it was, and then the
Pacers Knicks was it Pacers Knicks orsome all I know. I remember it

(09:43):
was the Knicks because and that wasa game six, and dude, I'm
just telling you, it was veryvivid, very very vivid. It felt
like it went on well because theythey interrupted the NBA Finals for it.
I mean, what what what dude, it's crazy, right, Yeah,
I was. Do you remember ElephantBar, the place called the Elephant Bar?

(10:07):
Now you I don't know if youwere in town. You weren't in
town then no, but I've heardof it. Yeah, so this place
and it's not it's a CBS now. It's right off of one sixty one
at seventy one, and it's aplace called the Elephant Bar. And I
remember so vividly being there. Iwas DJing that night and on the big

(10:28):
screen. We had a big screennext to the DJ booth, like the
dance floor was there, but Icouldn't see the big screen because it was
next to the booth on the wall, which was kind of even with me.
So even if I looked over,it was correct. Yeah. So
I ended up coming out and weturned the sound up instead of the music.
They so people just stopped and stared. The bar was must have been

(10:52):
going, what is what's everybody lookingat? What's going on? I mean?
And then I was told like, yay, let's turn up, let's
turn up the set because you couldbring it up through the sound system,
and I was obviously I was DJand playing music and stuff. It was
you know, it was a nightwhere people were there at a party or
what have you. And so Iended up turning it up through there and

(11:13):
and we watched most of it playout literally while I was there at the
Elephant Bar, inside of a placethat no longer exists. Also, I
forgot, I just I just realizedthis. That was the same day.
It was the same day that ArnoldPalmer played his final round in the US
Open at Oakmont. Oh wow, same day. That dude, that was

(11:35):
the because it was like the convergenceof everything sports, including OJ oh because
the final, you got the StanleyCup, you got the NBA Finals,
you got Arnold Palmer's last US Openround. I mean, dude, that
was a hell of the day.I remember that day vividly. And also
what was interesting today, as yourI don't know, is we're watching different

(11:56):
stuff. You know, different peoplehave different tape. There's a lot of
people like you know, Rotten helloj I mean, there's like all these
different comments if you're looking around onsocial media, and uh, incredibly sad
the way that whole thing played out, especially with the Goldmans, and we
can I don't I don't want torehash any of that necessarily, but when
you see all of these these differentreactions on Facebook and on you know,

(12:22):
Twitter, it just kinda it takesyou back there for a bunch of different
stuff. And then on ESPN theywere talking about it and steven A was
on there and they were showing clipsof him when he was Nordberg and naked
Gun, and I was just like, that's kind of what I remember from
OJ as well, Like he playeda character on there, Nordberg on the

(12:43):
on you know, Leslie Nielsen, the Great rest and Piece Leslie Nielsen,
Uh, naked Gun, and sohe had a pretty major role. And
then they showed a clip of somebodyinterview and I can't even remember who it
was, but they were like, how do you like acting? I mean
they were asking OJ about, youknow, his acting and all of that,
and I remember, do you rememberit too? And dude, it

(13:05):
had to been. It was oncethis show has started, remember he got
out and uh, and then wason Twitter and he was doing updates the
golf course. Remember it was likeyou could see he would be out there
playing he would like, that's whatI'm That's what I'm saying. It's so
odd that we didn't know he hadcancer, because that is he was out

(13:26):
there and talking to people and sayingthings, and you're like, why are
we Why do we know this aboutwhat you're doing today? But we didn't
know this part of what He's justvery odd. He we were we would
like, man, he's really stiff. You know. When you and we
were playing like clips of him talkingon you know, he was I don't

(13:48):
know, weighing in on different stuff, the news of the day and so
on, and we got that fora while and then it went away.
But I again, did you,Josh, did you know he had cancer?
I didn't even know he had Eh. Yes, bizarre, but uh,
there it is. Ojay's gone.Battle with cancer is he's lost.
He's lost his battle with cancer, and at the age of seventy six,

(14:09):
Juice has left the building.
