(00:00):
LSU, of course, is oneof the campuses where people have been demonstrating,
not currently, but boy Columbia itis. They're hum dingen at Columbia
right now. As a matter offact, they're supposed to leave a risk
suspension right about now. Dave Packer, ABC News is joining us. And
I know it was at two o'clockI believe deadline or so whatever you want

(00:21):
to call it, Dave, andthat's coming gone. Huh, yeah,
that was two pm Eastern, Sothat came and gone about an over an
hour a half ago. And asopposed to them leaving and striking their tents,
they just seem more energized than ever. The energy is like we haven't
seen in quite a while now,and the students are marching around the encampment,

(00:41):
around in the campus and shouting.Of course, you know, they've
been asking the university to divest fromIsrael over the weekend. There were talks
that all ended on Monday with theuniversity president saying that is not going to
happen, that's a non starter. And then shortly after that there were leaflets
that were given out to the protestersat the encampment saying, look, if

(01:04):
you're not out by two o'clock. You're going to be suspended or you face
suspension if you do leap by twoo'clock. They were offering basically amnesty,
saying that there wouldn't be no actiontaken by the university, but they would
have to sign a statement saying thatthey would follow university rules right through the
next academic year. So I guessthe question now remains, will they put

(01:26):
their money where their mouth is orwill they go to the mall cop route.
That's what it feels like to me. There's a stop or we'll say
stop again kind of a thing.Leave or we'll tell you to leave again.
We're gonna change. Now. Therehasn't been that I'm aware of.
We've been kind of following Dave that. I don't think there's been given like
another quote unquote deadline or anything likethat. But have you heard any kind

(01:49):
of any kind of repercussions starting tocome down or plans for anything like that.
Yeah, I think this was kindof a last ditch thing for the
university to do, to say thatthey tried in good faith to get these
protesters out of there. And again, this is an area where they're supposed
to in a less than two weeksbe having the graduation ceremonies, and that
takes a long time to set up. And there are many students who are

(02:13):
not involved in this protest who wouldlike to you know, be at their
graduation and have their their families there. Some of them never had a high
school graduation because of the pandemic,so this will be, you know,
sort of a big thing for them. There are NYPD officers outside just off
the campus, you know that asa precautionary measure. The last time you

(02:35):
know this, the president of theuniversity had them come in to try to
break this up. She got intoa lot of trouble from people on the
university board. So she's sort ofbetween a rock and a hard place right
now. These protesters obviously you knowit can't go on and definitely, but
at the same time, how doyou get them out? That's the question.

(02:55):
I mean, yeah, you couldsend in police, but then what
happens then? How ugly does itget? And there's a lot of blowback
possible from that, and this beingin New York City, it adds a
whole level of complexity and I guessdiplomacy that has to happen as well.
Well, water cannons is one waythey could begin kind of people did.

(03:15):
The other thing is and we werejust talking about this on the air.
It's like there are professors. Itwas at least being reported. I didn't
physically see this myself, but itwas being reported. There are professors,
as in lots of them, kindof almost creating a barrier or so on
there, and you know current professorsand so on, and it is all

(03:37):
kinds of inmates running the asylum,is what it feels like here to me.
Yeah, And you have to feelfor some of these students who aren't
involved in this, and some ofthe Jewish students too, who can't.
They feel like they had to gohome and not even come on campus because
they feel threatened. In fact, one Jewish student has filed a class action
lawsuit against the Columbia University thing thatshe doesn't feel safe going to the school

(04:00):
that promised her an education. Ione hundred percent agree with that. If
they could begin that process and getany traction with that, I nothing speaks
louder than you know, being hurtby fines or and or being dragged,
you know, dragged into court andso on and so forth. But man,
we will continue to follow this. There's no question about that. Dave
Pack or ABC News out of NewYork Day, thanks very much. All

(04:24):
right, man, So I Ijust still it's a you know, doing
any kind of business or negotiating withthese people. It's like, this is
non negotiable. And you know, well think about this if if you're if
you're Jewish, I'm nowhere near that. I mean, we talk about it

(04:46):
all. There's campuses all over thiscountry and you know, I can't begin
to imagine how crazy scared they andthis is. And you know what the
other thing is that pisses me offabout this whole thing is that you see
this ethnic intimidation that's going on amongstyou know, to these poor Jewish students.
And I guarantee you their parents areprobably still going to vote Democrat because

(05:12):
the Jewish population it is, byand large, they by and large loyal
to the If this does, ifthese protests doesn't get a large block of
Jewish people to switch their votes forlaw and order and sanity, I don't
know what will. Honestly, like, at that point, you're just eating
your own and quite frankly, it'shard to have sympathy. Hey, and
welcome to the show. How areyou and thank you for listening. Oh

(05:35):
the same frustrated is beyond measure.Right. So there's a lot of things.
First of all, all those professorsshould be fired and not to be
able to give another job. Goodquestion. Good luck with tenure? Well
who cares? You know what ifI'm in a profession where if I do

(06:00):
something, and I do something,I will lose my license never to work
again, tenure or not. Theother thing is America better wake up?
You know, this is just thestart of it. Rome fell, Egypt
fell, Babylon, Babylon fell,Germany fell. Why did they fall?

(06:30):
And it's not a trick question. It's because they persecuted the Jews. It's
going to You know, there's areally good book out there, and I
told Josh you know, it's calledThree Sisters. It is a true story.
It is a novel form, butit is a true story. Along
with the tattooists of Auschwitz. Myfather in law worked with a man from

(06:55):
Auschwitz. He was a banker andthe stories he told would put chills down
your spine. And this has gotto stop. It's time for this.
Not nosed kids and Sorrows, Sorrowsand AOC and her little gang. They're

(07:16):
traders. Yeah, there's no question, and thank you very much. You're
right. You make a lot ofsense, and it's got to start.
You're right, from the top down. That's the only way you begin movement
on something like this. How doyou cut the head off of that snake?
Though? I mean because George Sorosis the head of that snake.
But it goes deeper in that, because I don't think this isn't just necessarily

(07:40):
about Israel and Palestine and Gosen genocideand all this other crap. I think
this is another way to backdoor abasically a socialist Marxist revolution. And as
a matter of fact, a lotof these people who are protesting are openly
calling for and in fada against theWest and against capitalism and against the system.

(08:05):
Is this is as political as anything? Then? When you look at
who was arrested on OSU, onlysixteen of the thirty six. Right,
we're student, right, right?Jay, Welcome to the show? How
are you? Hey? Guys?Look the craziness begin. It's only going

(08:26):
to get worse. But I wantto go back to October seventh, How
is it that the most secure countryand probably entire world with the MACADE and
their intelligence agency. Let that actuallyhappen. And then yet a few months
later, Iran respond and they shootdown three hundred three hundred on the drones

(08:50):
in the Midfols. Yeah, Octoberseventh, they didn't do anything for seven
hours and that happened. Why isn'tanyone asked about that. That'd be like
nine to eleven happening. And Bushdidn't leave Florida to go back to the
White House for seven hours. Noone's talking about that. This stuff is

(09:11):
all orchestrated. It's only gonna getworse. And watch out. There's already
a couple Jewish legislators that want toshut down free speech over all this.
Thanks Jay, thank you. Imean that is he is not off on
that that there is I don't knowhow paragliders were able to cross into Israel,

(09:35):
I don't He makes a great pointabout the missiles and drones like,
but guys in paragliders, there arequestions, it raises. I'm not so
I think I know where he's goingwith that. And actually it's it's kind
of interesting driving him Weather
