(00:00):
So did your weekend fly by likemine did? Yes, it did.
Yeah, I was sure, youknow, Saturday was a blur. I
excuse me, gosh, you knowwe I the Derby all that stuff,

(00:20):
and uh it was. It wasfun. I had a good day.
You know. It's a good thing. I'm in. You know, can
walk from home from where I Ilike the water and I'll just leave it
at that. That's a good thing. It was. I'm responsible like that,
right. Was it capped off bythe Derby because that wasn't until uh,

(00:43):
yeah it was. It was literallycapped off by that. And then
shortly at well whatever there was,Yeah, there was. There was some
other stuff, you know, likeI was watching some basketball like playoffs,
just you know stuff. I hada little bets on like on my on
my sports book app and uh,you know. And then I'd like to
say I was gonna sit back andenjoy the Cincinnati Reds, but we know

(01:06):
there was nothing to enjoy this weekwith the Cincinnati Reds. Take it to
the woodshed man, dear lord.We ran into the buzzsaw that is Baltimore,
and guess what their record is?Every bit of an indicating that they're
going to be around in the playoffsand who knows could go all the way
that that is an incredible They gottabe there. They are the odds on

(01:29):
World Series. Them and the Dodgers. I can believe that animals. Whoa.
That was like, oh, it'shard to watch. It's a slow
motion corcident for three games. Well, I know. And and the thing
about it is like if you goand you look at them and the Yankees,
holy cow, holy cow, Likethose two teams. Do you realize

(01:52):
we'd be like twenty games out offirst place already if we played in the
American League East. I'm exaggerating, but still we're missing some people. But
that's all I have to say tothat. Our pitching is still our pitching,
and it's not pitching, it's thatreally good hitting negated okay, or
I don't know, some of ourpitchers are okay. I just I don't

(02:15):
know. I'm shaking my head,I know, And people are going,
we're five hundred team at best.I'm like, I don't even know if
we're gonna get to that. Imean, yeah, really sad. Yeah,
So congratulations Marshall, who's not gonnabe able to join us today or
tomorrow he's off. Look at thatguy taking time off, what is he
thinking? But yeah, his cousin, Kenny McPeak, trainer for Mystic Dan,

(02:38):
ends up winning the Derby. Imean remember on Fridays he's on with
us going, hey, you guysroot for Mystic Dan. My cousin's a
trainer. And then, by theway, the day before he's the trainer
for I think it's Thor, somethingto do with Thor, but it was
the Kentucky Oaks he won the daybefore too, same trainer, Kenny McPeak.
He's got the magic touch that mighttouch right, Yes, he does

(03:00):
crazy. That is awesome. Goodfor him. I'm so excited. Your
life changes when you win the derby. Yeah. I texted Marshall a little
bit later after the Derby, andI'm sure he was getting blown. I
sent him stuff too, but Ibet he was just getting blown. But
yeah, like I think I posteda screen cap of our common like a

(03:21):
brief exchange. He's just like, you know, congratulations, I said,
congratulations. Oh my gosh, that'sgot to be so exciting. He goes
mint julips for everyone, right, yes, yes, did you have him
in Julip this weekend? I didnot I did not. I would think
I would be okay with one.Marshall would be behind. If he's going

(03:42):
to be the bartender for that,I bet you'd like, I'm serious,
I will hire him. Like ifI ever throw like saying I buy a
house into a house warming party,I'm going to hire him to come to
my to my home and be likea bartender. I'll pay him to be
the bartender. I mean, yeah, but you would also want him to
be part of the party. Iwant him to be part of the party
because he's awesome and he's hilarious,so he's great, right, But point

(04:05):
being, if you pay him tobe the bartender, he's only going to
be like making really good drinks forabout the first forty five minutes because if
it's one for them one for him, then not so probably you know,
trying that corpse survivor Oh yeah, yeah, I'd take a yeah, I'd
take a swing at that. Butthat is that is so cool to think

(04:25):
that really is cousin is the guy? Is the guy responsible for the two
biggest winners this weekend and horse racinginsanity insanity. I was like, this
is not this is crazy and I'mjust going why did I bet for once?
You know, whatever you think, you think, Kenny McPeak, there's
gonna make a couple of coins offthat. Oh my gosh, Like I

(04:47):
told you, his life will change, It really will change. And I
mean that, I mean you hecompletely, he's gonna be in He's going
to be the hottest trainer in demandright now after to to do both,
to win both the Oaks and thenturn right around and win the Derby.
Yeah get it, consecutive days.Yeah, he's gonna he's gonna be in
demand everywhere. The other thing Iwould love to know, and this is

(05:11):
just the nosy part of me,but yeah, I would love to know
what he got broke off there, you know what I mean, Like,
what is his take of Obviously notas much as the owner, No,
of course not, and you'll neverdo that, but I just I'm sure
it's I'm sure it's incredible. I'msure it's incredible. What a finish two
to that thing. By the way, that was Derby's I've seen in a
long time. If ever, it'sfunny everybody was commenting like that, and

(05:33):
I, you know, don't haveenough of a baseline really to compare it
to. But I will take everybody'sword for it with that photo finish,
and it really was a scoach thatmister Dan's nose was like the three were
exactly tied and it was here, here's the difference. One horse's head was

(05:54):
up, the other twos were down. So that's stride, right, I
mean it just so, that's socrazy. I'm so happy for you're literally
talking like two inches was the difference. Yeah, unbelievable, really really cool.
Yeah, we uh, pomegranate martiniis the route we went, which

(06:14):
is very okay. Well, mywife was dying for that. I go,
yeah, I'll whip that up.So I made some and she was
she was loving it. She waslike, oh, you nailed this.
It's so great. You know.I'm like, what about the drink?
Oh wait, what'd you say?I'm sorry, oh, I've never had
one. Oh yeah, uh,it's you know, it's vodka. It's
an ounce and a half a vodkaannounce of pomegranate martin, you know,

(06:35):
pomegranate juice, the pom juice, and then you got three quarters of an
ounce of fresh lime juice, whichwe were using fresh lime, not in
a bottle like I was squeezing thelimes, getting a three quarter of an
ounce lime juice, and then youuh, and then what else is there?
There is a oh my gosh, there's one more ingredient that I'm forgetting

(06:58):
about right this second. But removeno, there's oh it was Uh,
it's it's Grand Martier, Grand Martinhalf ounce Grand Martnier. It's good.
It's really good. So it givesit that, you know, but oh,
yeah, sounds lovely. Oh,it's fantastic, refreshing. Here's a
difference between you and me. Iwould use two ounces of vodka, not
one and a half, right,I think I may have. I'm a

(07:18):
two ounce guy. That's that's myshot. Standard is two ounces. If
it calls for ounce ounce and ahalf, you're like, no, two
ounces. I just too make iteasier because I promise you'll I'll drink it.
Yeah. So what is the uh? I mean, the very latest
is still very sketchy at best forOhio State. The graduation death. First

(07:39):
of all, congratulations to all thepeople who graduated, and unfortunately they'll they'll
forever be connected to someone died whilethey were graduating. I don't I don't
even know what to think it justsays around twelve thirty person fell from the
stadium stands near the bell tower.I believe Gate thirty is what is the
gate? And uh, it wasjust as some of the last graduates filtering

(08:01):
into the stadium through the tunnel,an individual fell from the stands. They're
deceased. We have no additional detailsat this time, Polisa. They know
exactly, they're just not sharing anyof it right now. Who it is
or you know all of that.Yeah, I mean, was it a
student? There was it? Itwas it a family member of somebody?

(08:24):
I mean, you would think itwould have to be a family member of
somebody who's graduating. I don't knowif they're just trying to be sensitive to
I just don't understand how you fallout of the stands at Ohio Stadium unless
you were literally leaning over the topand you just go over and quite frankly,
if you do that, like whatare you doing? You're that's insanity.
Why why would you be leaning overthe stands? I mean, Ohio

(08:48):
stadiums kind of tall, kind ofyou know, I have no explanation for
how one does that. They andI'm reading from an article saying that the
university cannot release details about the identityof the person who fell, including age,
gender, or whether the person wasa student. The Franklin County Corridor's

(09:09):
office. They're still trying to determinethis was I think as of this morning,
they're trying to determine the victim's identityright now according to this article.
Now that was this morning when thiswas published. It was updated. I'm
sorry, it was updated just afternoon a few hours ago. This is

(09:30):
a That's what I don't understand islike, why are they like, was
he not there that well, we'renot even saying it's a he or right,
So this wasn't this person there withsomebody was isn't somebody going, hey,
oh my god, that was myfriend, that was my brother,
that was my cousin whatever. Ifthere is that person that you're indicating there

(09:50):
that is connected to the deceased, somehow they are not coming forward or the
news has not been able to locatewho this person is. That's the only
thing. Because you're right, itdoes not make sense that they have been
able to keep it under wraps thislong. Yeah, and I don't understand
what's going on and there to yourpoint, if there's somebody with them at

(10:13):
this at the commencement, they wouldalready be able to tell the Franklin County
Coroner's Office who this person is andwould they have had would they have had
id on them? Unless they're youngerand don't have a license, a photo,
I D something like that. They'reunder the age where they would have
Oh God, I hope that'll bea git more tragic if it was it

(10:33):
was a kid. Yeah. Yeah, Again, we're just uh, we're
just spitballing here, speculating, Butit's it's bizarre to me that we still
don't have any of the information withregard to I know, we have plenty
of listeners there, and I wonderwhat that was like did anybody even notice?
Like how does that like? Wasit just one little section? Like

(10:56):
did anybody not see commotion? Didthey? Was there not? Like,
I don't get it. We gotMike on the phone, who was there
on Saturday? Hey, Mike,Actually, yeah, my daughter I talked
to you guys on Friday. Yeah, while we were talking about protests and
stuff. Yeah, my daughter hadjust gone into the tunnel on the that

(11:18):
would have been the southeast side.We were sitting just we were sitting down,
I don't know, about fifteen rowsup from the football field, and
she texted us saying that somebody haddied. It was explained to them that
it was a woman. They amother of one of the students that was

(11:43):
graduating. Oh, they don't knowexactly what happened. But those walls up
there are like four feet tall.I mean, in order for her to
fall off, she either had tobe leaning over or somebody had to push
her. But yeah, so Ican tell you that it was a woman,

(12:03):
it was a mother of one ofthe graduating students. But even that
was all the information that I couldget. Well, that's not that's not
being officially reported. And I'm sureyou know that, Mike at this point.
So I just want to reiterate peoplelistening, Mike is telling us this.
This has not been officially confirmed andor reported from any kind of a

(12:26):
news source. And I'm not callingyou a liar, Mike. I'm doing
that simply because that's the way wehave to do it. On the radio.
Who gave the information of your daughter, Mike? Who? Who?
How who informed her in the otherstudents? Uh, it was seen by
students as they were as they werecoming in. Oh, dear god,

(12:46):
it's my daughter was about She said, she was about fifteen feet into the
tunnel when it happened. Did youand they heard the thought it was behind
It was behind her from where shehad come through the tunnel. Oh,
my god. So, and therewere students still lined up outside trying,

(13:07):
graduates still trying to get in tothe tunnel. What they had done is
they had split the graduates between theSoutheast tunnel and the Southwest tunnel to get
them in quicker. And then oncethis happened, everybody got shifted over to
the Southwest to keep them away fromthe the so they could close it off.

(13:28):
But there were students that witnessed theball. So and that's where she
got her information from from one ofthe students. I guess one of her
friends was back there and saw it. And well, this is a lot
more information than we've heard up tillnow. They are there somehow keeping the
lid on this mike, and I'msure you know that, yes, they

(13:48):
are. I guess it was. There was a scream, it was very
vocal, and then there was theimpact to the body heading at the concrete
and she was pronounced dead on impact. Right, that's uh, that's roughly,

(14:09):
and you're talking about the top there, yes, off the top,
off the top of the off thetop of the corner of the southeast corner.
Okay, okay, I know exactlywhere that is. That's that's what
I want to say. I wantto say it was right around the twenty
eight section twenty eight, twenty eightA someone right or well they said gate

(14:35):
three. Yeah, they would havebeen close to gate thirty. So yeah,
absolutely, yeah, uh huh okay, man I again, what was
she do? How what? Youknow, a lot of questions, don't
know, don't know. I knowthat we were in section twenty eight,
and uh there was a lot ofcommotion. Uh, but it didn't feel

(15:00):
are down to us exactly what hadhappened until my daughter tested us a little
bit yeah, a little bit laterwhile they were still trying to funnel in
and told us what had happened. So well, Mike, thanks for filling
in some blanks there for us.I you know, we we appreciate that
because it just, you know, they're being being very tight tight lift.

(15:20):
I I'm you know, for whateverreason, I and I can understand trying
to be sensitive. But yeah, yeah, I mean unless somebody complete and
lest somebody completely lied that my daughterand my you know, and my daughter
daughter passes on to me. Imean that was the information that was given
through the students, from the students. That solid. Gotcha, Mike,

(15:41):
Thank you very much. Again, that's that's Mike who was a parent of
a student who graduated on Uh,well, it was yesterday, wasn't It
was Sunday? Yes, yes,Sunday. I originally said Saturday Sunday.
And so that's what he is tellingus here is the was telling him based
on when everything went down, right. Then again, I just want to

(16:04):
make sure that that's what we're hearingfrom the caller, right, and it's
not been confirmed by any any newsagencies to police anybody involved with that.
But tragic no matter how you sliceit, No question, traffic and weather
together from day and night.
