(00:00):
We are getting a lot of peoplethat are calling with these stories about,
you know, being pulled over andtalking about a lot of people want to
talk about that, you know. And it also makes sense too during drive
tom you know where people are driving. If you will, Jesus take the
wheel, get me out of aticket. Please thank you while you're at
(00:22):
it. Yeah, exactly. CongressmanJim Jordan is joining us. Now,
Hey, Congressman, how are you. I'm fine. You guys get a
ticket over the week or something goingon, well last week here in this
great state of Ohio, here inwhere District four resides, where that's your
district. They they're talking about makingthe seat belt law a primary offense,
(00:43):
and there's a new introduction for that, and Governor de Wine is saying how
he would be supportive of that,so on and so forth. Well,
people aren't real, especially to listento this show or at least that call,
are not all about that. Theyfeel like we need less government.
We don't want them to Certainly,it's already a law click at her ticket
here in Ohio, no question aboutthat, but making it a primary offense.
(01:06):
Then began the conversation about one ofthe guys that works here got out
of one. He was simply honestwith the officer at the time, he
was you know, overweight, andwas telling him it was really uncomfortable.
It was also you know, prohibitinghim from being a very very cautious driver,
and so on and so forth. The officer let him go. He
said no, and somebody with himin that same vehicle did not have a
(01:30):
seat belt on and they got aticket. No kid, Yeah, and
he was the guy that didn't getthe ticket was driving too, so his
passenger didn't have one. So on. So we start talking about it,
and then people like to call andtell you their stories about how they got
out of it. And I don'tknow, have you ever been pulled over?
And they're like, here, JimJordan, And then they go,
just continue on your marriage. No, I don't think so, And I
(01:53):
just take the ticket. I don'twant to, like ever say anything.
I just like, you know, give me the ticket. But I haven't
had it one in a while, several years since I've had one. But
the problem is, I guess I'mThe problem is I don't drive a whole
lot I have. We got aguy who security guy drives with me some
when we're out about around Ohio.So I don't drive a whole lot,
but it's interesting because they're always wantingto go a little further because I if
(02:15):
I remember, right, I thinkmaybe I'm wrong about this, but I
think I was in the General Assemblywhen they passed Uh there was some debate
I remember on the seatbelt issue, and it's like, no, no,
it's not the primary offence, butyou can be taken forth. You pulled
them for something else. And nowthey're as always a case with government,
they always want to go to thenext step and then the next step,
(02:35):
and you just get bigger and biggergovernment. So I'm not a big fan
of what the what the is beingtalked about, that's for sure, right
right man? How about Wildwood,New Jersey over the world again? You
know what that looked? That lookedlike uh you know, uh, the
one of these huge like Lallapalooza. The crowd like look that bit like one
(02:57):
of these massive concerts. I waslike, wow, look at all those
people. It was crazy. Andthen of course you got a lot of
the legacy media player. Well therewas only thirty thousand there, and it's
just like, only are you kidding? Biden can't get thirty in a place,
and he's talking about there's a thirtyyeah, So it's crazy. Remember
back during COVID the last campaign, they had like the circles on the ground
(03:20):
and there'd be like seven circles andonly five people of you know, with
one and then and then like Trumpwould have the rally and it'd be huge,
you know, fifty thousands. Butthis this thing looked like the biggest
one ever. And I've heard somewherebetween eighty and one hundred they think.
But of course, you know, seeing in saying what thirty thousand, I
guess, yeah, yeah, gofor you. Anyway, as you point
out it's a thousand times bigger thenJoe Biden never gets if it's never even
(03:43):
tries to do a rally and speak, so right right, it was.
It was just nice. It wasgood to see he's fired up. He's
fired up as ever, and it'sjust like, oh, yeah, the
support's waning for him, can't youtell? Every time he's given you know,
he's we talk about it every weekCongress about how he's taking pizza out
of the firehouse, he's going tostop in that boatdegas this guy's tireless.
(04:05):
It's unreal to me how much energyhe has. And I still shake my
head over it, like I can'tbelieve this guy's like the ever ready bunny.
It's unbelievable. It sure is.And what I really appreciated with so
much is is that I was justspeaking to a group today with a colleague
of mine and it's like he's he'sa winner. He's like American. He
(04:25):
loves to win, he plays towin, and he's he just that kind
of that has that just you know, that all American attitude that says we're
going to get the job, thatwe're going to work hard and we're going
to make it happen, and he'senerget it's just so American, and I
think that's what American people see andwhat they appreciate about this guy. And
the left just you know, justNonStop, but it doesn't slow him down.
(04:46):
And his best line he uses itall the time and he said,
they're coming after me because I'm fightingfor you, and it's it's so true,
and the country understands that. Soone hundred and seventy six days until
he gets elected again, just incase anybody's keeping school or so we only
have one hundred and seventy six daysto go to November fifth, but yeah,
yeah, one hundred and seventy six. So Mary and Plintonville sent me
(05:08):
an email Congressman and she's like, can you ask Congressman Jordan if he would
support the Social Security Fairness Act?And I'm not sure you know where this
is at in your wheelhouse, butshe's saying, right now, public sector
retirees who also paid into Social Securityhave their Social Security benefits reduced two thirds
(05:29):
due to receiving a public pension.Sounds like you are you are knowledgeable in
this? Yeah, this is peoplelike you may have worked you know in
some well like if you work atthe state and you get you get paid
the public employees' retirement or state teacherretirement or some other retirement that's that's public,
maybe the county governor or something, and then there's an offset on your
(05:51):
on your Social Security and even thoughthey've they've paid into sociecurity with maybe some
other job of that job whatever. So there saying like, let's let's be
fair. I get it, butand support the just the fundamental concept,
it's your money. We should makesure the promise we made you should get
your money. But you know,we know the state of our of our
(06:12):
entitlement programs, whether it's Medicaid, medicare, those issues, so it just
never gets never gets addressed. ButI understand the concern that in the in
the sentiment that she has. Right, all right, Congressman, I've got
a couple questions for you. Let'sstart with number one. Last Thursday,
you sent a letter to Fulton CountySpecial Prosecutor Nathan Wade saying, listen,
(06:34):
pal, we need some more info. We need it by the sixteenth,
which is what that'll be Thursday. So you gave him a week to comply.
Tell us what's going on with thatand what are you looking for?
What information are you seeking, Congressman, Well, we want to know all
his contacts with the Department of Justice, with the White House, with the
Generosist Committee, because you know,he made trips on the taxpayer from when
(06:56):
he was working for Fannie Willis andthis is this crazy and diamond President Trump
there in Georgia, the state indictments, and so we want to know what
was going on, and we'll giveus the documents communication and he is now
left so they can't say, oh, ongoing investigation. Da da Dad.
He's now left the you know, the employment there at the Fulton County District
Attorney's office. And we did asimilar thing with Palm Morant, who used
(07:18):
to work for Alvin Bragg. Heleft, wrote a book, went public
and we actually did end up deposingmister Palmerance. We released some of that
release that transcript two weeks ago.So we want to we want to know
what Nathan Waye was up to,because we know he came to DC and
met with with a number of officialsbefore this whole thing was like this thing
(07:38):
was launched or as they were launchingthis this attack on President Trump. Interesting
enough, though, all these allthese cases are following apart. You saw
last week where down in the documents, the UH documents in uh forta case
that the judge said, we're goingto put this on hold, and it
was right after we learned that JackSmith, the document the order of the
(08:00):
documents of the document sees was changed, it was altered. The physical documents
didn't match up with the scan documents, and you can't do that. That's
that looks a lot like campering withevidence. So that case is on a
hold. Albert Brave's case is ajoke. We got Michael Cohen on the
on the witness stand this this week, and of course the Fannie Willis thing
with Nathan Wade's falling apart as well, and then the one in DC Jacksonith's
(08:22):
other case on January sixth, that'son the hold until the Supreme Court rules
on the immunity arguments that were heldtwo weeks ago in front of the court.
So it just, I think, underscores how all these cases were ridiculous
from to get there. Interference. That's what it is. It's just interference,
true, truly, one hundred percent. There's no other way to frame
that. All right, My secondand last question here at congressman Axios recently
(08:45):
put out an article about how you'repulling some secret maneuvering, some quiet power
play for the speakers ship in Januarytwenty five. Now, listen, Apparently
you've been apparently you've been telling allyour colleagues what you would do differently than
Speaker Johnson, and apparently you're helpingothers raise fundraised your money, maneuvering.
(09:05):
You're you know you're going out there. So my question is, will you
confirm this right now? That youare secretly going behind his back to make
a power play in just a minute, did you order the code red?
I'm I'm helping. I was helpingthe colleague, and I said in Kentucky
today, I was traveling last weekfor a field hearing. I travel a
(09:28):
lot to help colleagues. So yeah, I'm doing that. But that's to
help our team. So we canPresident Trump wins, which I think is
gonna happen. We can we getthe Senate, we got to keep the
House, and we can get thingsdone. So I'm trying to help colleagues
all over the country when they're whenthey're election. I am not doing anything,
you know, talking about what Ido different. You guys know what
I would how I would vote.I voted against the big omnibus spending packete.
I voted against aid for Ukraine, and I voted for the warrant amendment
(09:54):
that would say, if you're goingto search defies the database, use your
name, your phone number, youremail address. They got to go get
a wart from a separate equal brandsto government because that's how our constitution works,
and unfortunately we lost that with Soyeah, I vote different because I
disagree with some of the things thathave been done. But that's typical DC
kind of media piece. You getcriticized for helping your colleagues and trying to
(10:15):
keep the majority of the US Houserepresentatives. Hey, what do you also
say to people? Because I geta lot of listeners asking me and saying,
hey, man, all those Democratsare behind Speaker Johnson. What is
that saying? Because a lot ofthem, you know, become very skeptical
when they see that crazy support fromthe left for this guy, and people
going, that's all you need tosee, that's all you need to hear,
(10:37):
that's all you need to know, and it is a bit of a
head scratcher. I don't know ifyou've been feeling those questions, but I
have. Yeah, yeah, wehave. Now Again the vast majority of
Republicans may think there was only elevenuevoted not to table the motion to vacate
the chair, and a couple ofthose guys who vote are not the table
just have a problem with the tablingmotion. They were, they would have
it would have been on the actualmotion of vacate data voted with Speaker Johnson.
(10:58):
I just don't think it makes sense. We've talked about this. I
don't think it makes sense to begetting a third speaker in the same Congress
less than six months or what'd yousay, mar one hundred and seventy six
days before the before the election.I don't think that makes much sense.
So let's stay focused on winning theelection. Let's stay focused on telling the
American people how Republicans would do thingsdifferent than Democrats if we get all the
(11:18):
levers of power, and we woulddo things that are actually going to help
the country, help American family. So I just think we got to do
that as we head into this importantelection when we got to have President Trump
win. Very good Congressman Jim Jordan, thank you for joining us. Thanks
guys, take care, See youman,
