A refurbished ride vehicle from you know, Space Mountain, Magic Kingdom, Space
Mountain. The ride sold at auctionfor forty three thousand, five hundred dollars
and they estimated they draw a winningbit of a between fifteen and twenty thousand,
so clearly that exceeded what they thought. This dates back to the indoor

(00:20):
roller coaster's debut in nineteen seventy five, highest total of any of the nearly
fifteen hundred items in the auction. So really really cool. I mean,
how cool would it be to ownthat, to have that a refurbished ride
vehicle from Space Mountain, Magic Kingdom, Space Mountain. So yeah, very

(00:42):
very cool. Your ABC six FirstWarning Weather Chief meteorologist Marshall mcpete joining us.
Now, Hey Marshall, ohoh thereyou are. How are you?
I'm good? Yeah. Have youever been to Jungle Gyms down in Cincinnati,
Yes, Fairfield? What a whata they have to be refurbished roller
coaster there like inside the place orwell, it sort of goes around the

(01:04):
outside of the exterior of the building. It's it doesn't have a hill or
anything, but and I don't knowhow long it's been since it's run but
it has its own little station andthe tracks are there, and I don't
know how often they run it,but I think I think it came from
King's Island, but I'm not sure. Oh well, that's pretty interesting.

(01:25):
It makes sense being there and youknow all of that, the connection there
and all of that. Yeah, that actually that would make sense. This
morning, as I first got up, I thought, man, I was
watching the radar and kind of watchI was watching Buck and GDC this morning,
and I was like, oh,you know what, I'm gonna be
able to sneak a moment before itstarted raining. And then it didn't stop

(01:49):
until I was like, I gottago to work now, but I was
like dad, and it stopped, and then it stopped once I left,
of course, So yeah, I'mtrying to find a spot now where because
it was that it wasn't like thegreat crazy yeah, and you know,
it wasn't torrential or whatever this morning, but it was enough to make it
really really messy. If I triedto use the lawnmower and get all plugged

(02:09):
and blah blah, yeah, itwould have been clogged and clumpy and gross.
And yeah, I know it wouldn'thave been a good day for it.
There's a whole batch of rain onthe way in in the next couple
of hours. Right now, it'sout in Springfield, a little bit in
Urbanett's almost getting into London right now. So that's going to be on the
western side of Madison County and it'son its way kind of to the east.

(02:31):
Some of it's going more northeast,so we're going to get that in
here for this evening. Some ofthis is some moderate to heavy rain,
but I'm not seeing much in theway of lightning in this line, so
it may just be some on andoff heavy rain, and then more is
coming for tomorrow. Tomorrow is goingto be another wet, soggy day and
a little bit breezy. We geta break on Thursday, then some showers

(02:53):
come back again on Friday. Goodnews is the temperatures are going to be
at or above normal for it.Lea most of this extended forecast. Tomorrow
will I have seventy two and thenseventy eight on Thursday and Friday. But
keep your rain gear ready to gotonight and tomorrow. All right, thank
you, marshall. It is sixtyseven right now. You know, well,

(03:17):
we'll have to ask him about itnext hour. But I would imagine
that his cousin Kenny with McPeak Racingis, uh, they're gonna they're getting
down. Is it the Oaks orthe Preakness this weekend? I think it's
that's the Prens Preakness. Okay, okay, because it goes it goes Derby,
Preakness, Belmont Okay, right, right, so Preakness, and so

(03:38):
Mystic Dan's gonna be running in thatgo for the triple crowd. Yes,
yeah, we'll have to ask himabout that, you know, Yeah,
that's he's probably be Can you imaginebeing Mystic Dan the type of treatment he's
probably getting right now? What wasit was in twenty seventeen American pharaoh?
Was he won the triple crown? That was the last one. I remember

(03:58):
that. I've been the first onein my forty years or more. Yeah,
I remember that. And yeah,I wonder where that horse is now
in a bottle of Elmers. OhNo, what did I do? Well?
No, I was just saying,I'm like a horse. I WoT
you in the Derby. You areliterally paid millions of dollars, just like,

(04:20):
can I get some of that? Can I get some of his seed
or horses, because I want tobreed a makes sense world champion horse.
That makes sense. Yeah, thathorse, you're paraying him around and he
just gets to get it. Iguarantee you that horse is living a better
life than anybody listening to the soundof our voice and you and me combined,

(04:41):
that horse is a spoiled sob Yeah, yep. Recreational marijuana sales could
start in June here in the stateof Ohio, one month away. There
are new licensing rules approved in thestate legislature, and Ohio could see this
starting as soon as mid June.Lawmakers, state lawmakers, advocacy groups have

(05:02):
been going through the many steps neededbefore the dispensaries open. It's going to
be in the form of the medicinalplaces first, correct, That's from what
I understand. Well, you're they'rethe only ones as far as I know,
that have the logistical abilities to evendo it. They're they're the only
infrastructure right now equipped to sell.Well, I would think that there are

(05:28):
brick and mortar places that could beready to go very quickly and not necessarily
growing their own Yeah, but Imean, when you consider the security you
need, you you can just likego into some like vacant vacant strip mall
shop, you know, like alittle you know, a little you know
what I'm talking about. Yeah, those little no this thing because you're you're

(05:50):
gonna be dealing with large amounts ofmoney, large amounts of incredibly potent marijuana.
Because they don't take credit cards.Well I don't, Ohio do they
You can't. You can't get becauseof that. It's federal standing. It's
cash makes sense, that makes sense. It's cash only at the medical too.
I mean, so that's what they'lldo. You know. That's why

(06:13):
a lot of these dispensaries are builtstandalone, you know, because the walls
have got to be so thick becauseyou need a very secure vault for all
that cash. Kind of like whybanks aren't in a strip mall because you
got they have a back room fullof security teams, monitoring cameras, they're
armed. I'm a twenty four toseven operations. This is a serious I
mean, this is not like youknows and trying to steal a bunch of

(06:36):
you know, what do they callthem the e SIGs or whatever this is.
We're millions and millions of dollars worthof stuff we're talking about. Yeah,
what's also interesting is how the governmentis trying to get that, you
know, that part of it outof the way with regard to not taking
any kind of plastic because they can'treally prove how do they prove what it's

(07:00):
all cash business. Whatever that businesstells you they sold, that's what you
have to believe. I mean, you can audit them, you can do
whatever you want. But I wouldthink they have this figured out and got
it down to a tee if theywanted to shave some of that off.
I mean, think about the taxesthey would save if they were saying they
really sold let's say whatever, let'scall it fifty million in a year,

(07:20):
and then they go, yeah,we sold thirty million, you know what
I mean, how are they gonnaknow it's a cash business, it's all
cash. Yeah, it's pretty interesting, it is. It is beyond interesting
how an all cash business operates toput things on the book. But again

(07:41):
that's why there's commissions and government regulators, and I'm sure there's a lot of
teas and eyes you got to crossand dot to keep whoever. You know,
the state authority is happy with whatyou're doing. But does it say
when in June. It doesn't.It doesn't give specific you know, I

(08:01):
mean they well it does it saysJune seventh, but it says, you
know, will open by June seventh, But they dispensary licenses have to begin
to be distributed by September seventh. So I feel like, why are they
listing these different dates. It's almostlike a kind of a song open.

(08:22):
I guess if you get your distributor, if you're one of the first,
that's the one that's not necessarily medicinal, right, Yeah, it's the dispensary
licenses, and you don't have tobe September seventh for those, but the
ones that are already medicinal. Thenthey add in addition, you know,
the recreational aspect of it. Fascinatingto me. Yeah, and then uh,

(08:48):
you know, the state of onceagain, the state of Ohio gets
their cut the ten percent, theten percent tax. But again they're getting
ten percent of what the business istelling them they're doing. You understand,
you understand what I'm saying. SoI don't know, I don't know how
easy it is to do something likethat, but you would think there is

(09:11):
a hole in that whole situation, like you know where you would be able
to pull something like that off.You think about that if you're going to
say, if you're going to sayJune seventh, that's exactly four weeks from
today. Just hit me, that'sfour weeks from today. Mm hmmm.
So you're telling me, on Juneseventh, I can walk in somewhere and
legally purchase marijuana without a card. Now it's gonna be interesting. How how

(09:41):
long are those lines going to beto get into those first couple? I
don't even want to think about it. You will be waiting for hours to
get in. Think about any ofyour favorite rides growing up at an amusement
park. Now what this will be? Yes, now quadrupled, Yeah,
that's probably what it will be likeyeah, like be yeah. So if

(10:01):
you good luck, I mean I'msure that you know, you may need
a tent, You may need tobring a week supply, you know,
get your Patriot food supply and bringit with you because you may need it
