(00:00):
So am Gwen. She is joiningus now and am welcome to the show.
And jury selection underway in the trialof Hunter Biden. So what is
the very latest on this? Hey, good to be here, and just
off the top, I just wantto say, this is a historic case,
marking the first time a child ofa sitting president will stand trial.

(00:20):
So we are watching this very closely. Essentially, as you mentioned, jury
selection starts today and is expected tolast at least through tomorrow, potentially even
more time. The court has summonedtwo hundred and fifty Delaware residents to the
courthouse and they're getting asked, youknow, typical questions on being impartial.
But remember this is a trial ofthe son of a sitting president and an

(00:41):
iconic Delaware figure, so there's goingto be some novel topics. There's a
question out there basically asking if theybelieve Hunter Biden is being prosecuted in this
case because his father is the president, or that his father is a candidate
for president, And so they're goingto really try to narrow it down to
find the right people for this case. Would be part from number of prospective

(01:03):
jurors. There was a woman whoworked for Secret Service there was a person
who volunteered for Hillary Clinton's two thousandand eight campaign, So they're really going
to try to narrow all this down. And of course this is because the
younger Biden Hunter Biden fifty four yearold, faces three felony charges related to
obtaining a firearm and of course ammunissionand accessory for a firearm, and there

(01:23):
are two charges of him lying ona federal form about whether he was abusing
drugs in order to obtain the firearm, and then a charge on obtaining a
firearm while being an addict. Socertainly we're going to be hearing it from
both sides of the isle here.Prosecutors and defense are going to be trying
to argue their case in the nexttwo to three weeks. Yeah, So
is there any kind of an estimateon, you know, when the actual

(01:47):
trial gets underway. I mean, obviously they have to get the jury in
place, so I suppose however longthat takes, But are there any estimates
out there when that gets in place, and then how long once that starts?
How long are we possibly looking atseveral weeks? Yeah? Absolutely,
so jury selection is going to takemaybe two maybe three days, and then
the trial would start pretty much rightafter that. The defense has a number

(02:13):
of witnesses they're going to be callingup. Prosecutors have at least eleven witnesses
that they're figuring out they're going tobe calling up as well. Essentially,
this is going to have court fivedays a week from nine to four thirty,
and of course it's the judges discretionto adjust that schedule. And we
know just a few few pieces ofthe evidence that we are expecting to see.

(02:38):
Prosecutors, especially on their side, they're bringing this case right so they're
going to be taking us back toOctober twenty eighteen, and that's around the
time where Hunter Biden has been veryopen about his struggles with alcohol and crack
cocaine. So the prosecutors, theDepartment of Justice, the government here is
going to be trying to use HunterBiden's own words against him. So the

(02:59):
first, the main point that they'regoing to bring up is the excerpts from
his twenty twenty one memoir, andessentially in those excerpts we hear him talk
about how he was struggling with, you know, smoking crack in Wilmington,
and essentially these text messages that weresent between him and drug dealers, and
so this is really what they're goingto be pushing in terms of their evidence,

(03:21):
and then the defense is going tocome out and try to cast a
doubt on the government's key evidence. So the trial has to happen to Delaware
because that's where he applied for thegun license and all of those things correct
exactly. Okay, Yeah, Iwas just trying to make sure that well,
basically I kind of knew that, but I was making sure the audience
understood that because everybody hears Delaware andthey know that's Biden's home state, and

(03:45):
everybody going, oh, geez, here we go. It's it's in Delaware.
They're friendly territory. But that's that'swhere he uh, that's where all
the infractions occurred. So that's whyit has to happen there, absolutely,
and so that's why there's a hugenumber of prospective jurors that are going to
be going through selection between today andtomorrow and potentially another day. We have
heard from the President himself just todaysaying quote, as a dad, I

(04:09):
have boundless love for my son, confidence in him, and respect for his
strength. But the other zoom outbig picture that we're looking at right now
is how this might affect his father'sre election campaign. We don't know yet
if supporters will believe that these chargesare politically motivated, which is what we're
hearing from the defense. We won'tknow yet, if people would be taking
the president as a more compassionate, you know, father figure for his son,

(04:31):
there for him. Joe Biden wasthere today as well, so there's
obviously that familial aspect of it aswell, or if this puts a sneer
on his campaign, people might youknow, turn their nose up at what
Hunter Biden is going through right now. So only time will tell that.
That's definitely something we're watching out forright now. Yeah, those two words
politically motivated. You could cut theirony here, couldn't you. I mean,

(04:54):
it's crazy when that is that.Politically motivated are the two words that
we're hearing a lot of as oflate, and we are going to continue
to hear a lot between now andNovember fifth, no question, absolutely exactly.
And when thank you and thank you. I appreciate it so much,
see ya. Okay, Yeah,so yeah, politically motivated now that's rich.

(05:16):
That's rich that they're going this ispolitical. You could cut the irony
with everything that's happening, all ofthat. I just it's so hard.
They're like, what is it,however many three counts? And I'm like,
in my mind, I'm thinking,at least it's not thirty four accounts,
you know, and then seven yearsago, because they're going to start

(05:36):
talking about twenty eighteen, going backto you know, seven years ago is
when they could have brought the chargesto President Trump, but they didn't want
to mess with any of that. Then that it's now because they wouldn't even
be doing this had he not beenrunning. And by the way, having
all this crazy uh, the supportbehind him as well. Right, this

(05:59):
is this feels like a slam dunkas far as for Hunter Biden. But
you're going, look, nothing's goingto happen. I don't think anything's going
to happen to him. I thinkhe's going to get a friendly jury.
I think when Hunter Biden is acquitted, I think that'll be when people finally
people already got their eyes open. But I think that that would be that

(06:23):
would be just clear, It wouldbe no longer questionable even to the deniers
that the system is rigged. Youknow, it's rigged against Trump and for
the Bidens period and the story.I don't know how many Democrats you know
or even associate with, and byassociation, I'm cutting the left out of

(06:43):
my life. I'm serious. Ican't. Man, this is going too
far. I just I've purged myselfof all Marxist and Communists in my life.
I'm done by so so do youhave any of more of the centrist
Democrats? Do that the conversation isthat we can have a polite and on
intellectually honest conversation and exchange ideas.Yes, but the ones that are like

(07:05):
you know, just suffering from TDS. And you know, I've deleted so
many people from my Facebook I have. I have stopped talking to people,
I have stopped hanging out with certainpeople. I can't do it because because
here's why I ask to your pointwith you go Even the deniers after he's

(07:25):
acquitted, can't say that they will. That's the sickening part of this.
When he needs to go, they'llgo because this is not that big,
it was not anything proven. Imean they'll there'll be all kinds of ways
they're going to spend this that thereis no way Hunter should be held accountable
see what happened was right, Yeah, I know it. Just at this

(07:48):
point, if you're if you're withthis regime, then basically you're against me
and my family in the United Statesof America at my constitution. That's the
only way I view this. I'msorry if that comes across is extreme,
But listen, our country is inserious distress right now, big time.
Yeah. This is your flags upsidedown. People, This is bad.
We are what we are on thebrink while this while the gas and the

(08:11):
grocery prices and go down the wholelist of things that are very important that
are part of what's happening right nowand should not be happening in the country.
This is way bigger than that. This particular thing is way bigger than
that. So it is not caddieto hold their feet to the fire here
over this they are shredding the Constitutionright in front of our eyes. We

(08:31):
watch this idiot judge just shread theConstitution in New York. And so I'm
only hoping and praying that there areenough gaps and horrible things that were ruled
the way they should not have beenthat somebody else of higher court of some
sort can step in and get this, you know, straightened out. But

(08:52):
then there was speculation this morning thatit's like, well, it's what's this
marshan, Judge Marshall, It's notgoing to matter to They got what they
wanted right now, and so ifit's appeal, then it's of no consequence
to him. That's what some ofthe people are predicting right now that they
don't even care that this judge deepdown doesn't even care. They just wanted

(09:15):
convicted felon Donald Trump. That's whatthey wanted. They just want to keep.
Like Colin Cowhard went on a rantabout Donald Trump is now a convicted
felon and how can you vote forit and campaign share. It's like,
shut up, Colin Cowhard, youleft Coast loser. Yeah, Colin Coward
sits down to pee. Hey Jay, welcome to the show, guys.

(09:37):
It's craziness beyond craziness. I'm withJosh. I've eliminated the word liberal from
my vocabulary. You're either a communistor a moron. And if you don't
see what's going on with this country, especially what was going on in Delaware
County this weekend, the gay prideprede, I cannot believe the Satanism and

(10:03):
this disgusting acts I saw on Facebookfrom some people that I thought were close
friends. My wife and I,with a nineteen year old and a seventeen
year old, will probably never evertalk to him again. I Satanism is
broad and right in your face rightnow. So is communism. I mean

(10:26):
when Glenn Beck is going on hisnational syndicated radio show and says, quote,
if his ratings keep on going up, though I have no choice but
to JFKN, that shows you howscared they are Donald Trump. They're scared

(10:46):
of the deplorables, and they willdo nothing or they will stop at nothing
to take him out and half thecountry out. YEA, thank you very
much that Jay Well said. Imean, that's that You're spot on.
There's not one thing that Jay saidthat I disagree with, none travaging, whether
