(00:00):
Go to a wedding if you wererequired when you were RSVP ing online you
had to put in some sort ofdebit or credit card information, which you
do that, how about Helen. No, that's two separate answers, but
very effective. And I know exactlywhere you stand. Now. What's interesting

(00:22):
is there are people that were tryingto go well, I think this is
some sort of a typo or somethinglike that. No, no, no
mistake. What are you What dothey want the money for? What is
this privilege of RSVP? I thinkwhat it is is you have to have
that payment info in place, andif you bail, you were informed you

(00:44):
had seven days to review the details, after which they'd be charged a monthly
fee. And this is this ishilarious, But maybe it's to make sure
you show up if you have yourinformation there, they're going to nail you
if you don't. And I cantell you for our wedding, I don't
know how much you guys had inyours. Oh wait, I do,
I remember you saying it was prettycheap. On the cheap you got your

(01:06):
entire wedding dress, food, allthat catering. Alcohol was less than five
thousand dollars. Yeah, yeah,we did it. We were dirt,
we broke, we were dirt poor, we had no money, we had
people and you know how this goes. If you are setting up for however
many plates, you have to payfor those whether somebody shows up or not.

(01:26):
Oh yeah, I mean that's whywe did the buffet style, just
straight up like you know. Andeven that was eight hundred and fifty dollars,
which back fifteen years ago, it'sprobably about sixteen hundred now with inflation
probably, And so I just thoughtit was interesting that they were requiring this
and some people were like, uhhuh, I'm not doing it, and
some people and I'm going all thatdoes is guarantee you're going to be there,

(01:49):
because if you put that in andyou know, let's say you can't
make it because of God forbid,a family sickness or something like that,
you would probably have to have proof. But this is probably them an attempt
to dodge having to pay for peoplewho just don't show. We had a
handful of people not show and soas a result, it was a few

(02:13):
hundred dollars that we were in for. Listen to that. Illnesses happen,
accidents happen, deaths happen. Iunderstand that, but in general that's why
I don't ever RSVP to a weddinglist. It's somebody I like, right
because if it's not, I'm probablynot going to show up. Right.
Congressman Jim Jordan is joining us rightnow, Congressman, would you if it
was a situation like that, wouldyou put you? You reminded me of

(02:37):
that scene and Father's of Bride wherehe gets to call from the guy putting
that coordinator whatever. Steve Martin says, it sounds like you said one hundred
and fifty dollars to play and theygo, no, no, no,
it's two hundred and fifty. That'sa great scene. That's my wife.
Yeah, we've had two daughters gettingmarried, and it's like it does cost
us. It costs us any ortwo. I will tell you that.

(02:59):
Yeah. Man, that's my wife'sfavorite movie. It's interesting reference that.
Yeah, that's like literally her herfavorite movie. And the second one was
fun too, because you know, like the second one is never is good,
but it's the second one is theseat. Mark was a funny guy
and it was like it was ait was a good storyline in books.
Yeah, no doubt about that.So geez, not a lot happening from

(03:21):
over the weekend. Politically, herewe go again, Congressman Jim Jordan joining
us now, and uh, let'sstart with President Biden because yeah, the
fact that he announced he was notgoing to be running yesterday, so we
have so many different questions, Congressman, and the fact that it wasn't on
official letterhead, the watermarked what whatever, you know, the official the fact

(03:46):
that and then we haven't heard fromhim. What what exactly in your estimate?
I mean, do you feel likeanything weird is going on here,
because it seems incredibly odd to us. No, I mean I think it's
just Democrats, uh, you know, to all about power and politics for
them, and so they're saying,we don't candidate the guy who got more
votes than any person in the historyof the world for president of the United

(04:08):
States. He got eighty million votes. We're just gonna we're gonna push him
to decide because we don't think hecan win. I think it just underscores
how their their the left is allabout power and politics and the other My
other takeaway is I don't think Idon't think frankly, it matters who they
run, whether it's Joe Biden,Kamala Harris or Whitmer or whoever they're gonna
Gavin Is. I don't because youcan't change the facts, and the facts

(04:30):
aren't We talked about how many times, uh that the American people see clearly
as we went from a secure borderto no border, and it's interesting now
it looks like the borders are actuallygoing to be their candidate, which I
find interesting. We went from twodollars gas to four dollar gas. We
went from safe streets to record crime. We went from uh stable prices to
record inflation. You were just talkingon inflation in the context of the couse
of a wedding, So that's allhappened. I don't think you change candidates.

(04:55):
That doesn't change the facts of wherethe left in this administration has put
us. And then finally, Ithink you add in what what we saw
from President Trump a week and ahalf ago, the poise, the character,
the leadership literally under fire that thatthose visuals and what we saw there,
and you can and you add thatinto quick. I think President Trump's

(05:16):
gonna win. I think he's goingto be our next president, regardless of
they who they run. Yeah, there's no question about I feel like our
ticket is stronger than anything that theycan come up with right now, it's
just the speculation on everything happening isjust that speculation clearly until we get and
the fact that we saw today.I think the running tally is around eighty

(05:39):
one million dollars that Kamala has drummedup already. I mean, and she's
not even officially. I think whatI was looking at earlier, Congressman was
it was she had five hundred andthirty one delegates as of right now.
That was this morning. Yeah,of course she needs nineteen eighty six one
nine hundred and eighty six to winthe nomination, but she's u puzzledly is

(06:00):
saying, Look, she's gonna trylike hell to make sure that you know
she's able to you know, dothis, or or to get the people
you know on board to yet youknow she's going to earn. It is
what she's you know, saying rightnow. It's interesting too to me that
you put them head to head,Trump and her head to head in polls,
and it's very similar to what Bidenwas pulling at. And it's I

(06:23):
don't know if you believe any ofthe polls that you're seeing. It was
you know, within like a pointmaybe even two at the most, depending
and it just seemed very similar. So for them to go, oh yeah,
we're bailing on Biden, who waspulling very similar if maybe not stronger
depending on the poll. We're goingto replace him with some and then Pelosi
endorses her. You know this morning, there's a lot of interesting stuff happening,

(06:46):
no question. Yeah, and againit's it's the Biden Harris administration.
So I don't know that you eby by switching who's running at the top
of the ticket. I don't knowthat that that that changes much. Uh
And frankly, I mean I don'tI think she's going to be their nominee.
But if Poland continues to be asstrong for President Trump, maybe they

(07:08):
suld decide. You know, theygot three weeks here till there, you
know, so their convention, maybethey're going to make another change. Who
knows what these guys, because asI said before, I think it's all
about power, all about the politicswith with the left. Yeah, Congressman,
we saw the Secret Service director.Chie'll go before Congress stay well,

(07:29):
and I got to I got tohand it to you know, Reppert,
your colleague, Representative Mace, Iforget the name of your other colleague who
said it's time to stop guarding presidentsand go back to guarding Dorito's. That
was brutal. And what I thoughtwas impressive is there there's a bipartisan call
for her to resign. And thefact that she couldn't answer these questions,

(07:54):
well, the fact that she lookedunprepared and uninterested to be there today was
very just what were your thoughts oneverything you witnessed? Well, yeah,
it was you know, I thinkshe could answer a lot of this questions.
She chose not to. She didwhat so many of these heads of
these agencies do. They hide behindongoing investigation. I'm hopeful that when we
have Director Ray in front of ourcommittee on Wednesday, he will do a

(08:16):
better job of answering questions. We'llwe'll find out. But as I said,
there, you know which is it? Was? It? Which was
true? Because it couldn't be both. Initially, after the tragic events of
July thirteenth, both the Secret Serviceand Secretary of BORCAS said it's absolutely false,
unequivocally false, that we denied resourcesto the Trump detail when they asked

(08:37):
for them, and then six dayslater they changed their story and said,
well, there were some occasions wherethey asked for resources that we bet and
they were turned down, So itcan't be both. And I tried to
get to her, how many timesyou turn them down? Did you turn
down the requests from President Trump's detailafter you knew about the Iranian threat on
his life? So and she wouldn'tanswer any of this stuff. So I

(08:58):
think those are questions the country wouldlike to know about our secret service,
particularly when it comes to protecting aformer president of maybe the guy who's more
well known on the planet than anyone. Yes, and you let this kind
of stuff happen before he takes thestate. And then of course there was
key questions that she would answer aboutwhen he actually took the state. Between

(09:20):
between six oh nine, when theyrecognize that there's they noticed that there's the
shooter, when then this counter sniperis notified at six' ten, when
the shot happens at six eleven, when the counter sniper takes him down,
the bad guy down at six twelve, and when President Trump leaves the stage
at six fourteen. That's an intensefive minutes. Obviously, we'd like to
almost know what was happening every second, and she would not get into those

(09:41):
detailty well. And the other thingto keep in mind is this is,
you know, I don't know whatcongressional powers you have, you know over
secret Service. Probably there's not muchyou can do. I would suspect to
get to get her out unless sheresigns. But I mean, this goes
all the way back that they problemswith the Secret Service. Remember they denied,

(10:03):
they denied Robert F. Kennedy Juniora detail, and he was legitimate.
He's a legitimate third party candidate atthis point, and and they're playing
the family history. I mean, look at his family for crying out loud,
the family history there is like areyou kidding me? No? A
great point, great point. So, Congressman Jim Jordan, you've had a

(10:24):
week and some change to digest theassassination attempt on President Trump, and uh,
do you have any thoughts about, you know, that situation. I
mean, clearly there are all thesedifferent theories and so on, and they're
just that right now, other thanof course the facts that have been laid
out. But do you have anythoughts you'd like to or you know,

(10:45):
well, yeah, I would justsay that it was it was obviously the
Good Lord protecting President Trump because theidea that he turned at that particular moment
and and is hit in the earnowhere else was it was truly a miracle,
and it's and it's it's it's youknow, providential, as many have
said. And I think also asI said earlier, the poise, the

(11:05):
character, the leadership that the Presidentshowed, and I think it was the
reflection of the of of America thatsort of that American uh fighting spirit that
we saw on display when the Presidentwith his reaction with you know, three
times pumping his fist, so thatto me was just just amazing his his
reaction there. We're gonna we're gonnado everything we can to get to the

(11:26):
facts, speakers anicate he's gonna puttogether his task force that will that will
dig into this as well as theoutside investigations happening. But we feel like
we owe it to everyone, particularlythe American people, to get the truth
to them, and that's what we'recommitted to doing. I believe it was
the final day of the Republican NationalConvention. I think I saw you with
Hannity was that the final day.I think on Thursday, were you there,

(11:46):
Well, well, yeah, oneday, I can't remember which,
Yeah that was. But by theway, great convention. Oh that's what
I was gonna ask you. Ithad a different feel this year for me
to see, you know, towatch the whole thing play out, and
then you know, when President Trumpcame out and gave his speech. You
know, there were so many differenthighlights from this, and it felt like

(12:07):
the unity. There was a lotof positivity I feel like coming out of
that. What was your assessment ofit? No, there sure was,
And of course for those of usfrom Ohio where we are senators now in
the ticket, I think it justmade it even better. But yeah,
I felt the same way a numberof great speakers. I thought President Trump's
granddaughter did an outstanding job. Ithought so many people did. I thought

(12:28):
Jad did a great job. Andof course the President's remarks and speech on
Thursday night were just tremendous, particularlywhen I think he was in that reflective
mode talking about what happened to himon the Saturday before. So all in
all good, I think it wasgood for our party. More importantly,
I think it's good for the countryand I think we got a unified team
and let's go, let's go winthis election. My favorite was Kai,

(12:48):
which I believe was Don Junior's daughter, and her talking about just I mean,
you can't humanize somebody like Trump anymore than what she did. And
then during the next night, ashe's watching before he speaks, you know,
I think Eric's a little girl climbedup on his lap, and it
was it was to watch all ofthat play out. Man, it gives

(13:09):
me chills. And I'm gonna behonest watching Kai speak, I got emotional
watching that, thinking it really was. It was so cool. And then
Don gave her part of his timeup there on stage. That was great.
Yeah, no, it was something. And uh, you know,
obviously the father, he had tobe proud. Yep, we all we
all all have kids and get involvedin things and and uh it's just a

(13:30):
proud parent and of course a proudgrandparent in President Trump. It was a
it was a great moment, butone of many great moments. That great
committion. Yeah, pretty amazing,Congress. Gim I gotta say little,
I gotta say a load of youto stay the hockey team. They're there,
they were in town and and I'mgonna step out and stay a load
to him. Here the national championgirls women's hockey team. So I thought,
while I'm talking to the folks thereand in the in the Buckeye Land,

(13:50):
I should let you know that they'rein town for being recognized for their
great achievement this year. Wow,that's cool. What a brutal sport that
is, And what an achievement.Man, that's tough. That's that's tough
to cover right there. That's awesomefor them, man, awesome. All
right, thanks so much, guys, all right, thanks man. Traffic and weather
