are so many people who depending on when they would
have tried to make that call, if it would have
been like Tuesday, it would have been flipping out probably,

Are some some roles out there where it's just not
easy to make a change like that. You know, it
was such a blessing to have leadership in your organization
where they would allow you to make that change. But
I'm sure there are bosses out there who would not
allow that to happen. So, but I'm hopefully it won't

I know people out there who don't, who don't have children,

Christmas is a holiday that I think employers should put
people with families a little give them a little more
leeway than anybody else.

Well, I hope to get some leeway so I can
be with my kiddo on Christmas morning, you know, in
my career. But you know, and I don't know if
we ever talked about this in my career. The reason
I have this career on air is because we got
close to the holidays. Everybody was using their PTO because
they were going to lose it at the end of
the year.

They had no reporters.

And so this is tiny little Latin Fortsville, Oklahoma mark
at one forty nine, you know, way back in the
day and they were like, we don't have.

And there are all these people in the newsroom going, oh,
oh me, me, me, me, not me. I was not interested.
I did not want to be on camera. That was
not a goal for me. And so I think because
they saw there would be no pressure with me asking
to do it again, they were like, Stasia, will you
fill in reporting tomorrow?

And I'm like, okay, I get.

Yeah, I got a career out of that opportunity from
filling in for people around Christmas time or around the holidays.
So it turned into a whole different career that I
never would have expected. So you never know where it
may take you for the opportunities to fill in.

It's the same when I did. I used to say,
you can have mornings. I want nothing to do with
doing any morning radio. Been there done that? I'm not kidding,
like almost almost, like less than a year later, I
was being asked and I was like, I don't want
to do this, and then I'm not kidding. I came
off the air doing it one time and my boss

was standing in the hallway and he said to me,
where's this been the whole time? And I went, what
are you talking about? And he goes, what I just
heard this morning? Where's this been the whole time?

know what you're talking about. Boom. I ended up starting
to do mornings.

Then they were talking about doing talk radio and I
was like, I'm not going to do that.

So y'all I went from what minimum wage to sixteen

Didn't go to school for this, And I was like, well,
I just tried to do what the reporters do and
I'll have my agent.

I'll have my agent contact you, and.

Yeah, I got a career out of that opportunity from
filling in for people around Christmas time or around the holidays.
So it turned into a whole different career that I
never would have expected. So you never know where it
may take you for the opportunities to fill in.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
It's the same when I did. I used to say,
you can have mornings. I want nothing to do with
doing any morning radio. Been there done that? I'm not kidding,
like almost almost, like less than a year later, I
was being asked and I was like, I don't want
to do this, and then I'm not kidding. I came
off the air doing it one time and my boss
(08:05):
was standing in the hallway and he said to me,
where's this been the whole time? And I went, what
are you talking about? And he goes, what I just
heard this morning? Where's this been the whole time?
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Wow? Where has this? And I was like, I don't
know what you're talking about. Boom. I ended up starting
to do mornings.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Then they were talking about doing talk radio and I
was like, I'm not going to do that.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Are you out of your mind?
Speaker 2 (08:26):
I was like that would be crazy, trying to have
to talk for three hours, like are you kidding me?
Speaker 3 (08:31):
So that was my reaction to my boss when she said,
how did you know how to do that? And I
was like, well, I copy the reporter. She said, I
think you need to be doing this more often. And
I said no, no, no, no, no, thank you. I'm not
interested in the hair and makeup that's required. Pass, big
hard pass. And she said, well, I will double your salary.
So y'all I went from what minimum wage to sixteen

thousand a year.
Speaker 5 (08:53):
Baby, Thank you, thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
You're like, I'm getting me a new pincott.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
You can afford that extra slice of cheese on your whopper.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
That's why I said yes.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
I said yes because she's offered a double my salary.
Speaker 5 (09:08):
And here I am.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Hey, we're gonna get to the Trump Trump and the
trash truck. We'll get to I just want you to
know that we're on this. We will we'll fill in
the blanks here with that. Well, there's not really any blanks.
That was the wrong thing to say, we're we'll give
our takes on this and kind of have that discussion
coming up in just a little bit.

And then to give the speech in Green Bay last
night at the rally wearing the trash vest. Dude, you
can't the visuals on that, The visuals on that are stunning.
You cannot deny Trump is a naturally funny human being.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
He is.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
And I was even telling station, I'm like, you know,
I think people that are the center left, maybe you know,
a little bit left of center and not the Trump derangement,
but I think they're they're the ones going, yeah, I
don't care, he's a clown, I don't want to.

Vote for him whatever.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
I think some of those people who don't they're not
invested to the point where they can't sleep or they
have to take medicine because they see his face. I
think they're probably laughing at this, going that's really funny.

To your point about the visuals of it, because he
kept it going beyond the truck. If you saw a
presidential candidate wearing the reflective vest that he kept wearing, it.

Goes from fixing fries, fixing ice cream machine.

You're going to look into into what happening? Is this
a meme? Am I seeing am I seeing love me?

You wonder?

Then you're going to realize that it's in response to
the sitting president, the country.

Gone in to that.

I mean this, this storyline goes pretty deep. And so
I think if people saw any.

Of those visuals, like you said.

The McDonald's and then the crash truck and then the
vest I think people are so ting to look into
what they.

Think about this guy who doesn't he has already been
president once. Clearly he's a billionaire. You can go over
all these things. This is a guy who can poke
fun at himself. There's no other way to quantify that.
He can poke fun at himself. He's up there going,
I'm wearing this because they said, mister president, you look thinner,

you look slimmer wearing this. He goes, hammy my jacket
until they said, then they said you look slimmer that,
and he goes, I'm going to wear this on stage now.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
He's just naturally funny. He didn't hear that last night.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Where zach no, no, no, no, go ahead, he's he's queuing
it up.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
But but no, he was talking.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
But he's like, so I walk up and he goes,
I see how big this step is on this truck?
Speaker 1 (11:46):
And I went ash and.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
He said the word he goes he talked. Because people
are right yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
Said, oh, and then he goes, so, I'm just like,
I gotta get up there.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
I gotta do it. They can imagine if I follow
my ass I'll never hear the end of it. It's
like a viral.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
Yes. So he's like, so I did it. I got up,
I got in there. He goes, I know, he drove
about two feet and did.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
A bunch of photo ops and that was it.
Speaker 4 (12:14):
Yeah.

He talked to me like he yeah, here is so.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Here's the audio where they were talking to him about
you know where you, mister president, you got to wear
that on stage. He's like, I'm not wearing that on stage.
Handy my jacket. And then they were telling him, but
this is all. This is that audio.

Listen to this. Okay, sir, they said, get me my jacket.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
But if you did, you know it actually makes you
look thinner, I said, and they got me.

I said, I want to wear it on stage.

When they said I looked thinner, I said, in that case,
I'll wear a st.

I just you know, look, it's it's in. He took.
What he's telling people to forgive him. He's saying, forgive
Joe Biden.

He doesn't know what he's playing about masterfully.

He's been an interesting election cycle with twists and turns
that no one could have seen.

And the way, honestly both.

Camps are like pouncing on these opportunities to just kind
of highlight these gaffes or mistakes by the other side
has been Wow.

He has handled this masterfully because he hasn't reacted with
doubling down on any kind of anger or spite or nastiness.

He's he's playing it off.

He says, he's like, ah, Joe, you gotta forgive.

And he doesn't even know what he's saying.

He's like, he goes, but you know, and then and
then the garbage thing.

It just it is this Trump I think would.

Have gotten a lot more people to like him a
long time ago if he had stayed in this kind
of version of himself.
