Speaker 1 (00:00):
Is this really a thing? Her Hees is selling freshly
made Reesa's eggs. I heard about that, did you?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Yes, Let's bring in Alex Stone from ABC News. Have
you heard of this, Alex though?

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (00:11):
What is a freshly made See?

Speaker 2 (00:13):
I don't know, but I'm intrigued and I can't chuck.
You've heard of it? And I don't know is this
a real thing?

Speaker 5 (00:18):
I guess they're like, you know, twenty four hours, within
twenty four hours after being produced, you can buy them
to get the you know, the fresh peanut butter and
you know hot off the shelf type of thing you
like with cookies and doughnuts and things.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Yeah, does that make a difference when when it comes
to like Reese's and that sort of.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Thing, Well, I think it could.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
There is a so I get like if you eat
like a four year old one, But like, does within
days difference?

Speaker 1 (00:43):
It's a thing and you have to trust them.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
That's kind of like organic. I want to try it.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
It's like organic though, right, I mean you see that
in the store and you go, they're charging me more
for this organic banana? But is it really?

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Is there any different? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Is it a work? Is that what they're here's the thing,
Marshall or Marshall Alex. You know that in New York,
New York. There's a Hershey store in Las Vegas. Yeah,
and I wonder if it's kind of similar to that
where they have And have you been in that, by
the way, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Once or twice, But I've been by the one in
Vegas more.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Yeah, that's what I mean, the one in Vegas in
New York, New York.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Oh, because there's one in New York, New York in
Times Square as well. You mean or New York hotelas Vegas.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Yeah, that's what I was talking about. Yeah, So I've
been in there and it's like, I mean, they have
it's a whole different level. I mean, if you're gonna
and I wonder if something like this they should try
to do something like because I think people might pay
a little bit of an up charge just to you know,
do the comparison right there on the.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Spot, you know, make it in front of you right there.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yeah, putting in the peanut butter right now, I'm closing
the egg.

Speaker 5 (01:52):
Here you go, tell Gordon Ramsey's next show, just put
the chocolates on it.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Save So, yeah, they said, available in massive three pound
box for a limited time. These eggs are pricier than
the average races, but they come with rave reviews from
candy lovers. They swear that the freshness is worth it,
and these are fan favorite treats.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
They sell out quickly.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Once they're gone, They're gone, and I'm going, well, wait
a minute, why couldn't they just do a whole nother
batch and then ship them out. Sounds like people are
are paying for them, but up, I didn't care for Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
You're like kids old Halloween candy and you realize that
it's from a couple of years ago, and you open up.
It's like kind of white and crust it over and
it'll be all right, and you just seed it. Anyways,
it doesn't taste the same. I mean, I don't know
about like fresh versus what you normally get, but when
it's like a couple of years old, you're kind of like, Okay,
it does lose a little bit of flavor.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
Not saying this really happened, but in the last twelve
four hours or so, somebody we know might have bitten
into a recy cup which has been in a drawer
with Halloween candy. We kept from the kids because they'd
had enough, and it did kind of taste like the
sweet tarts that it was laying on top of.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
It turned into wine, so it's like a Reese's wine.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
The flavors seemed to have menstrated the package and gun
and yeah, so, hey.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
You're onto something Reese's wine? Are you kidding me?

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (03:14):
I'm in, I am in, I'm so in. Wow.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
All right, So the California fire, So you know, I
saw this on GMA, I think this morning, Alex and
the electrical line I saw like the spark and so
what exactly is could this have started at least I
think it's Altadena?

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Right? Yeah? Yeah, So yeah, that's the latest one.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Yeah, the Eating Fire the more deadly of the two.
That they have not officially determined the cause of it,
but that there are a ton of lawsuits being filed
right now by victims of the wildfires against Southern California Edison,
where they're saying, well, they know the cause of it,
that based on videos and witnesses that the fire started
under a so Cal Edison tower in Eaton Canyon and

(03:57):
became the Eating Fire. So there is a new video
that has been presented in court. That does appear to
show the beginning of the fire. That shows what the
attorneys say is arcing on the power lines at six
eleven pm on January seventh. Then immediately there's a tiny
glow of fire underneath. Then by six p eighteen it's
blowing up and it's right below that high tension power

(04:17):
line power and then it's off to the races from
there and it's running through neighborhoods. So this is an
attorney for one of the wildfire victims. We see what
is unequivocally arking at the very origin of this fire.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
We know that their equipment was involved in this, and
now it's just a matter of determining why did this happen.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
So there was a cord hearing yesterday.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
The judge said none of the so Cal Edison's equipment,
that power line and the tower and everything that they
can't alter or destroy any of it because that's potential evidence.
The attorneys are claiming that so kel Edison was going
to hide evidence and was going to destroy evidence to
try to not be responsible for it. Southern California Edison.
They're saying, well, we're just looking at this video, don't

(04:56):
jump to conclusions.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
They don't know what the.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Video actually showsttorneys are saying it's pretty clear what the
video shows. But Southern California Edison is saying that they
have seen no faults on any of their lines, that
they're not responsible for it. This is a Kathleen Dunleavy
from sokels We did.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Not find any faults onlines. What we did is a
deeper dive and we found some distant lines did have
some faults, but they don't serve the canyon.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Yeah, so they found five miles away there were some
faults in the lines in those one hundred mile an
hour winds. But the attorneys are saying, okay, but those
faults then shot electricity down the line and then an
eaton canyon. There was a spark and then everything was
off from there. So there's going to be potentially this
if they are found to be responsible for the wildfire,
like we've seen up North Pacific gas Electric on wildfires

(05:42):
over the years, they could be shelling out billions of
dollars because of this, and there would be a lot
that would come from it. So Southern California Edison is
fighting it right now. They're saying that that they are
not responsible that they don't see any evidence of that.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
We'll see where it all goes.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah, this is this is going to be any incredibly
long process before I think this would probably even get
to court if.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
You yell right, absolutely, or they may settle before then,
you know who knows.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yeah, especially if they're looking at a lot less to
settle before. If they go to court and they're found guilty,
they could go. It's gonna be billions as opposed to
you know what I mean kind of a thing. Yeah, absolutely,
Alex Stone, ABC News out of Los Angeles.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Alex, thank you very much.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
You got it. Bye, guys, to see you man,
