Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Mark Blazer Show. All right, here we go, thank you.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
For listening, Mark Laser, Chuck Douglas and did you wear
green yesterday?

Speaker 1 (00:27):
I'm not an Irish. I've never been Irish.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
I'm not. I don't do you don't participate? Huh, that's
their thing, man, love them? Okay, yeah, I don't. I
hope that all the people out there who are of
Irish just since celebrating Saint Patrick's Day had a wonderful
Saint Patrick's Day. But I'm not going to appropriate their
culture just because you know, Hallmark says I should.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
What is that a Hallmark thing? I didn't even realize.
I have no idea. It's just a reason for people
to drink extra. That's it. That's all it is. I
feel like, look, that's it.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
That's everywhere that's connected with it is like drink ball
and because it's green, drink more.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
And yeah, I'm not. You know, I've never I've never
been an Irish or a Saint Patrick's Day guy.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Yeah, yeah, I can actually see that. I just knowing you.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
I didn't really know that until you just said it,
but just knowing you, I'm like, oh, color me not
surprised that you're like, I'm not participating in that, especially
because it's a it's really a silly, let's just drink
more kind of day.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
And that's it. You know, that's really the basic at
least in the States.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
It is.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
It feels like anyway here in the United States.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Somebody, I'm guessing he's part of our best Buckeye coverage.
Somebody who was not also not participating in Saint Patrick's Day.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Would be one Roy Hall who's joining us? Now? Am
I right on that? Roy?

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Is it because I'm black or what? No?

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Because Chuck just said he's not, and I know you're
not a drinker. He sat down with the Fialao mcfish though.
Is that irish?

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Well, it is when you say mcfish, hey.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Man, you hey, listen fellas you know, you know the
Brothers don't celebrate, you know, Saint Patty's Day. Man, like you, I.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Beg the different I beg the difference to.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Listen, you don't. You don't want to make the mistake
of drinking green beer with your white friends. There's a problem.
It's just not it's not a good situation. We're not
designed for things like that, so you know what I mean, Like,
come on, man, like hey, man, come on, you should
come down and hang out with us. That's how you
get in trouble.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yeah, I will say this, roy back. I mean, you
go back to your college days and you were in
that just well right, you're inundated by that stuff and
you're like, man, get away from me.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
I'm not I'm not participating in it. I know you're
not a drinker.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
You know as well, So that's a drinking holiday, it
really is.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Yeah, I mean, but in college though, you know you're
a drinker, you know what I mean. And that's where
you get in trouble. Yes, you get it.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
You get it.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
You get into trouble when you start going to drink
with the with the offensive lineman, and then it's a
it's an issue. You stick with the receivers and you
will be in trouble. I mean you'll be Okay, you
get in trouble when you drink with Why is that?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Why is that?

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Man?

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Come on, man, because they way more.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
I mean they drink more.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
They wait yeah, yeah, okay, okay, that's the receivers order bottles,
defensive linemen order kegs.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Hey, exactly exactly, and.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Then it turns into shenanigans after that, right, and then
people start getting hurt because they're just messing around and
you got all.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
This Stu, No, that's what happens when you go hang out.
Nobody gets hurt when I go out. I don't know
what that's about.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Well, I mean you were saying that the linemen are
bigger than you know and all that. So I just
figure you get a whole bunch of big people that
start trying to mess around and do that, somebody ends up.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Hurt, you know, Yeah, somebody gets their feelings hurt for sure.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Anyway, So how you been everything?

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Good? Man?

Speaker 4 (03:46):
I'm doing well man, Just so just having having a
good time and life is good. This is this is
a heavy season for speaking engagements for me and challenging
a lot of these big time businesses and companies around
the country. And I was local here today with a
company called rain one and had an opportunity to speak
to their entire team, which was awesome. And on May
twenty second, we got Archie Griffin two time the only

(04:10):
two time Heisman winning Trophy winner, and also CJ. Stroud
speaking at my leadership conference here at five to fourteen
Church on May twenty second. So I'm excited about that, man.
So it's just a busy time with serving still Man,
we got our after school program rolling over at Johnson
Park Middle School off of Living Cent It's awesome, man.
We've got twenty five kids in the program. There a

(04:31):
bunch of in school stuff. This is a time to serve,
a time to give back, a time to make a difference, man,
and really make the most out of every opportunity to
help people's lives.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Man Driven Foundation is doing well. I'm hearing it and
that's great. It's fantastic. The other thing, do you ever
think to yourself, You're like, man, I'm friends with some
really you know, influential people, some people who are really
doing things. Like I mean when you talk about I
know your friends with Archie and then you just mentioned

(05:00):
CJ and all that. It's like, do you ever stop
and think? Because people will ask me that too over
the years, like with musicians, and I've did rock radio
and all kinds. I've been at radio for thirty seven
years and people will go, do you ever stop and think?

Speaker 4 (05:12):
So?

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Do you ever stop and think?

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Roy?

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Like, Man, I'm incredibly blessed.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
I think I know the answer, but do you Yeah,
I got I got two answers real quick. You know
how my brain goes. First of all, you're not just
about to slide over the fact that you said thirty
seven thirty seven years. My goodness, man, you are old
is dirt.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
I know you ain't got to tell me, oh, receipt
for this every day.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
I know, thirty seven years. That is unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
I know, I know, I know.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Goodness man, but no, that's all that's actually that's actually
a blessing, brother, be able to do what you do
for that long.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
I agree with it.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Yeah, but no, it's absolutely a blessing. But the other
side of it is they're human beings. And you know,
when you've been one of the guys that people look
at as a guy at one point in your life,
you know you try and be as normal as possible.
Now we've been blessed, and I say we, the guys
that played at Ohio State have this tremendous platform that

(06:07):
God has given us to be able to play football,
but also to leverage that to make a difference. And
when you start to bond and bond with like minded individuals,
the same kindred spirit, man, you can make some amazing
things happen to people. So, I mean, I know some
great people and connected to some awesome people. We're all
a phone call away from speaking to the who's who

(06:27):
of the world. But when you realize you're just dealing
with people, man, and you treat people with kindness and compassion,
and you know, you make sure you have good character.
They have good character.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Man.

Speaker 4 (06:38):
It's just you're a human being, man. So good things
happen to everyone. Bad things happen sometimes, and you just
want to make sure you be there. So it's a
blessing to know these guys, man. But they're real, true friends,
and I'm appreciative of the relationships.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Yeah, that's really cool. So coach to day.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
One thing he's saying about this quarterback core that is
that we're on the cusp of seeing somebody here out
of the three, but they're all talented.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
The ball comes out of their hand.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Well, they're good athletes, a lot to be determined, and
we got a bunch of spring practices.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
That are happening through the middle of next month.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Lincoln keyholds, I think I'm saying that right, tav and
Saint Clair and Julian saying, these are the three guys,
and you know who's going to be first, second, third.
I mean, your thoughts on these three guys as we're
getting right, because a lot of people don't know a
lot about them, including me.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Right now.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
Yeah, you'll get a chance to know those guys. I mean,
obviously at the quarterback position. One of the things that
stood out that coach Day said yesterday and mis Pressler
was the fact that the quarterback have to be the
hardest working person in the building, and they have to
be there early, be there first, and be their last
one to leave. And sometimes that stuff goes on as
like a cliche standpoint. It comes off as just something
good to say, but it's gonna like pop up real soon.

(07:54):
Who wants that job. They have to come in and
do it day in and day out, and not just
leading with their words or leading by showing up early.
They got to get on the field and throw dimes
all day, every day and not turn the ball over.
So I'm glad we got three guys competing. You never
know what's gonna happen. From an injury standpoint. I love threes, man.
I love when McDonald's had the triple cheeseburger. That was awesome,

(08:16):
A good three. You know. I ran a four to
three in my forty yard dash from pro Day which
is coming up for the Ohio State Buck Guys. And
you know, one of my favorite shows growing up watching
with my grandmother with Three's Company. So either way, we
got three, we got three opportunities to see what these
guys could do. You got five star, five star, five star,
and all these guys are gonna be able to kind

(08:37):
of show what they what they can do. The problem is,
and the challenge is, if you find yourself as the
third guy on the depth chart when you come out
of the spring, do you stick around or you hopping
that transfer portal in that spring window to get.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
Up out of here.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
I'm telling you they're going to transfer right out because
all three of these it's an embarrassment of riches I
that that we have with these three guys. So I
feel like I don't even know if number two's gonna
stay cause you know what, think about this, roy all
of them have to be thinking I'm the guy, I'm
the one who should be starting. If they're not thinking that,
then they probably shouldn't be here.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
They shouldn't be there or here, or however you want
to put it.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
So I feel like if they don't get to start,
they're going I'm gonna start.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
I'm a starter. I'm leaving. That's how I think that's
the way they're gonna leave. Though.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Two is in a wonderful bargaining position because you must
have that redundancy just in case.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Got to have that backup ready to go.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
Yeah, you gotta have guys in place. The thing is
hard now is with the transfer portal in this NIO money.
You know, our number two and number three obviously can
start pretty much anywhere in the country, and so when
you're looking for a quarterback coming out of the spring,
depending on the team's situation, you know, like I look
at a guy like Lincoln who's been here for two
or three years already. I don't know if people want
to sit another year and then maybe another year it

(09:55):
just as a backup, you know. Tavean he's only a freshman,
so he has time, right, so he's like he's just
getting his feedway. He's just happy to be out there.
But I'm looking at Lincoln like, hey, man, like if
he doesn't win that job, does he want to be
a backup another year? And then kind of that I
think could be a third or fourth year of eligibility.
So it's gonna be interesting how it plans out. But

(10:18):
if you're Lincoln and they're they're given, you know, two
million two point five million to the best quarterback, three million,
four million to the best quarterbacks in the nation. If
they offer you a half a million dollars, you know,
it might be hard to turn that down to go
play and say, like, I don't know, maybe like a
Colorado type school in that situation, the Texas Tech where

(10:38):
it's not as high a quality football as it is
at Ohio State, but definitely can get you on the map.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Yeah, that's that is something that everybody needs to brace for.
I feel like, and that's that's well laid out right there.
But let's face it, you know, if they don't win
the starting job, I really feel like they're they're gone. Now.
You you've probably spoken to him or you know him,
or your friends with him, or all of the above,
I would say, Roy. So it's an interesting take for sure,

(11:06):
But man, it's completely changed with the portal and nil
and every single time, and that increases the pressure on
the coaches, the people that are picking the quote unquote starter,
because you know, you picked the starter and then you
know the people that you didn't pick us somewhere and
light it up, you know. And that's always been the case,
I think over the last couple of years anyway, But

(11:28):
I feel like more now than ever, the pressure is
on to really pick the correct person.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
You know. There are so many options and there's so
much pressure. I was in the drive through the other
night at McDonald's and you look at the menu, man,
and I just remember to get up the day when
it was like three or four selections. But there's so
many different things, man, that it's so much pressure. I
ended up pooring a fish filet and a double cheese

(11:54):
burger only catch up. How do you eat ground beef
which is not really beef but whatever it is, not
there fish like my stomach?

Speaker 6 (12:02):
Man like?

Speaker 4 (12:02):
I can only eat half and half. With the fact
that it was so I was sweating, man like. And
then I already got to tell them I one prize
with no salt, just to make them fresh.

Speaker 6 (12:11):
You know.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
It's just so much you think about, and then the
drive throughs they merge into one. You don't know who's
supposed to go first. It's just so much pressure. So
if I felt that way, it's just picking off something
to eat. I can only imagine what it feels like
to pick out who's going to be the start quarterback
coming out of the spring that has to take the
Buckeye to try and get a back to back championship?

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Do they do that? Do they do that? Is it
a two peet?

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Will we get a two peet out of DraftKings has
installed Ohio State is a three point favorite over Texas already,
and so that's obviously our first game, and and that
kind of pressure on top. I don't know that I
like that. I don't really want to start at the
at the front. I feel like the pressure. There's more
pressure starting out as the expected as opposed to, you know,

(12:59):
kind of a coming from behind a little bit.

Speaker 4 (13:02):
Well of course, But the thing is when you win
a national championship the way that we did, and we've
been talking to I love it. I love the swag,
I love the confidence, I love the energy, I love
the moxie. I loved the feel of the Woody Hayes facility.
I was just down the spring practice yesterday. I love
everything that we got going. But the challenge is is
when you win now all of a sudden everybody feel
like they want to knock you off. Like it's not

(13:23):
it used to be this Ohio State, let's go in
and get a victory. Now it's they won a national title,
and they bringing all these top dogs back, Caleb Downs,
Jeremiah Smith, and everyone's talking about us. He's probably gonna
come out ranked in the top three obviously, maybe even
number one. And so when Texas comes in here, they
gonna remember how we beat them in the Cotton Bowl.

(13:44):
So you know, it's a lot of pressure on us.
The other thing is, ladies, you got like when you
win and you're on top and you get that ring,
Like now, all of a sudden, you got complacency that
wants to bring its and rear its dirty head up
and get you to be thinking, man the best, you're
the top dog. Look at that ring on your finger.
Look at look at those three rings on your fingers
because you' getting a big You're getting all these national

(14:06):
championship rings. They get like three of them. And so
now you're looking at the banners. Coach day, playing out
all the banners and beating all these teams, and you
feel like you've arrived. And my receivers, coach, when I
was at Ohio State, Daryl Hazel. I had a game,
a decent game against Texas, and he said, Hey, never
feel like you've arrived, And I never forgot that, Like

(14:27):
you can never you can never be satisfied with winning,
Like you just have to figure out a way to
trick yourself in the thinking you're not that good so
that you can continue to have that same hungry.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Yeah, Tiger Woods is a shining example of that. He's
a guy who kept revamping, reinventing, redoing everything and he
just kept winning, winning, win and winning. And I don't
think that that guy never bought into what everybody else
was buying into, which is this is the greatest golfer
to ever pick up a golf club. And that I
feel like is a is a really good Uh. That's
that's a good dynamic to to use to utilize. And

(15:02):
the way you kind of put it is exactly I
feel like the way it should happen. Stay driven dot
org for all things Roy Hall and everything that you
got going. Man, everybody checked that out and man, you
have so much stuff coming up. I'm I'm honored that
you took a couple of minutes, man, to hang out
with us and talk about eyes and.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
Start proposing to me on the air, bro stuff, all
that honored stuff.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Man, I know, but I mean it.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
No, I'm just teasing, you know. I like when you
say night time things about me. Brother. I appreciate you guys. Now,
you guys are often bring me on more often. Man,
I need I need a seat at the table.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
That's what I want to Okay, you're welcome anytime you
can tell.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
All for a food segment. That's what I want to
be all right.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
That McDonald's to talk about though, Yeah, well he should
be built like Grimace with as much McDonald's talk about this.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
I say this to him all the time. I'm like, dude,
He's like, it's all about ports and control.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Brother, it's all.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
You heard it.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
He didn't even eat all of the sandwiches the two
we order eight half and half.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
He mentioned two sandwiches and I got a little indigestion.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
Chuck broke out into food. Sweats Man, that's good stuff.
He's part of our best Buckeye coverage. And Roy Hall
again its State driven dot Org. Oh there he goes, Okay, Roy, he.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Was probably sitting to the drive through waiting to order it.
Is saltless fries.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
He was waiting to eat. He was like, all right,
I'm done. All right, that's it, Vibe Blazer. He didn't
even say bye. He's like, I got food to eat.

Speaker 6 (16:26):

Speaker 2 (18:23):
More what other roller coaster rolls do we have coming at?

Speaker 1 (18:27):
Us?

Speaker 7 (18:27):
There, oh we do have a couple of different systems
on the. Way so today's gorgeous. Outside so if you
haven't got the, chance maybe once you get off, work
definitely make sure to get. Outside temperatures will still be
mile tonight due to increasing cloud cover and strong southerly,
winds so we're gonna see temperatures tonight bottom out right
around fifty degrees for the overnight, low and then for,

(18:47):
tomorrow despite some more clouds in the, area temperatures will
soar into the low. Seventies it will be breezy with
those winds from the south at ten to twenty miles per.
Hour but that's all ahead of a cold, Front so
that cold front will be moving in Later. Thursday ahead of,
that we'll have a couple of showers by Late wednesday
night in A thursday, morning and then that second wave
of rain moves in later on in after ten am

(19:09):
to eleven, am and we'll be watching those temperatures very
closely because that cold air sneaks in behind the cold.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Front we're not ruling.

Speaker 7 (19:17):
Out, again don't come after, me and we're not rolling
out a couple of snowflakes trying to mix.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
In by over there right.

Speaker 7 (19:22):
Now but it's all going to be a dependent on
those how fast those temperatures. Fall either, way most of
the system will be rain and temperatures will only be
in the upper forties before eventually returning to the fifties
For friday and for the.

So for four, hours this Is february, thirteenth the doctor
and his, staff they tried to revive.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
Him he's sixty one years.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Old three days letter later rather At Mount Carmel Grove
city he passed.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Away so the interesting.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Part about this, Story first of, all condolences To Michael
beaesler and his family as absolutely what an awful dentist.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
Appointment this is not the outcome you would. Expect, no, Wow,
no was it the nitrous ox side?

Speaker 1 (21:27):
That, well they.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
Don't they didn't talk about his method of going. Under
that's not what they're saying right, now IS i think
the angle of this story, is according to The Ohio
State Dental board, records he had been he'd lost his license,
twice this, dentist and it was due to misuse of
drugs and or. Alcohol so he had been through programs

(21:51):
and everything to Get but here's the thing THAT i don't.
Like they don't they stopped short of in this. Article
they stopped short of him of saying that this doctor
was on. ANYTHING i, mean they're not even, speculating but
they do cite the misuse of drugs and alcohol and
how he had lost his dental license. Twice so it's almost,

(22:12):
like does that have anything to do with? This because
sometimes they say in a lot of, situations you can
have some underlying things going on and it's very unfortunate
that something like this were to. Happen but then there's
an employee who's involved in, this and she is she
is saying all kinds of stuff about this whole, situation and,

(22:35):
look without getting you, know really really really deep into,
it it just kind of bothers. Me and Again i'm
not siding with one side or the. Other i'm saying.
What what bothers me the most about this, is you,
know it cited a couple of different times during this
article he's lost his dental license, twice and it's, like, well.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Did that really have anything to do with this scud.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
To either make the accusation but don't moved to something
like that that somebody's life was lost, Here, yeah that's.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
It and it's, like if, that then say? It if
if that? Is if?

Speaker 2 (23:09):
That BECAUSE i feel like when there is something as
serious as somebody losing their life WITHIN i feel like,
hours especially in a practice like. That they worked on
this guy for four, hours and in a practice like,
THAT i would imagine there is blood drawn from everybody
connected to that operation or that procedure.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Every because they're going to test.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
It, listen when you're in an accident as a bus,
driver first thing that happens when they roll, up they
they definite they will have you blow or immediately you're
taken to a station and they will take your blood
because they they first are going to rule out any
kind of foul play. There if in fact there isn't,
anything they move forward with you, know the. Checklist SO

(23:54):
i can't imagine that he's not tested for this, stuff
and it would have you, know the fact that it
happened Fed wheary, THIRTEENTH i feel like that would have
already come out if he uh were under the influence
or something along those.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
Lines BUT i don't.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Know they're they're kind of indicating there are some red
flags during this that were. Happening during this guy's oxygen
dropped to below fifty.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Percent the normal.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Healthy human is the ninety ninety five ninety eight, Percent
and that's the little finger thing that you put on
and you know kind of. Monitors you're so this guy's
dropped to below fifty, percent AND i think they were
still working on, him and they were still doing the
procedure according to this. Article so it's like five pages,

(24:43):
long AND i read it a couple of times because
and it started to kind of bother me BECAUSE i felt,
like you, know you're making the you're making the inference
here that because he was suspended, twice was that involved
here or?

Speaker 1 (24:54):
Not you, know was it?

Speaker 2 (24:56):
Involved was that part of his judgment was a skewed
because he under Thee and it's it's just kind of
a it's one of those things That i'm, like you,
know and if he, was then so be.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
It, yeah you, know go after him and deal with.
It BUT i, mean let's not Forget Hugh sole At Mount. Carmel,
yeah they had him responsible for everything up to The
kennedy assassination and then, suddenly after all the hell and
all the suspensions and all the court, coverage well yeah
he was found actually.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Not or we can't hold.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
Him well wait a, minute after everything we went through
for a year as a, city watching this guy do
everything wrong and all these fentanyl overdoses and so, forth
now you're, saying, okay maybe.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Not, Yeah and.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
You know what the thing is with this. Guy let's
say that he ends up getting. Cleared they say this
was completely an, accident and this was something to do
with this guy's underlying conditions and so on and so,
forth and this guy can't practice especially. Anymore think about.
It that's just like The, HOUTLE i, mean he. Can't

(26:04):
how could that guy ever practice?

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Again you said that happened On february, thirteen according to This,
yeah because AS i was looking Up usel's name to
make SURE i had it, CORRECT i know Doctor jeffrey
Hot TOUGHS i think it is thirty six At Mount
Carmel East hospital had his license suspended in eurosurgeon on
the day before, that On february. Twelve, Yeah february is
not a good year to be in the medical, PROFESSION
i guess Not bleazer.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
Show, well it's not good information for The Blue.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Jackets, yeah my.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
Prediction about their success kind of went in the, toilet.
MAN i really thought they were on a. Roll it
just seemed like all that all the cylinders were, firing
everything was, clicking the.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
Energy and it was you were, wrong you were. Right,
yeah that giant flushing.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Sound you're, right, dude you were right about all of,
that and now they're on a four game skid and
there's you, KNOW i was just kind of talking about.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
This it seems like the LAST.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
I don't, know the last five or six games have
been with the same, teams and it continues to be
the same. Team we're they're then they're, here and it
happens to be like the top five or the top
they're in the top ten of the best teams in THE,
nhl and it's like The jackets can't get.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
There they can't get their skates under. Them right.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Now they're playing these teams that are on their hair's on,
fire and so as a, result they're really.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Suffering.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Now The rangers THAT i was the one off the
seven to three and they were In New york and
In New york comes here and it's just been a.
Struggle elvis is on something to do with his wife
who is, pregnant and to do with their.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Kids they cite that in this.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
Article and you, know not That elvis has been standing
on his head lately, either but you gotta factor in
personal with his wife and a pregnant wife at THAT i,
mean how much of that is? Affecting and look these
guys are they, okay, no, no, no they're citing. That

(28:18):
it's it's to do with that is why he has
taken a break Or i'm not exactly.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
SURE i Just i'm just recurgitating part of.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
THAT i could see that decelerating the momentum of the
entire team, though because if she was having an, ISSUE
i don't, know you, know like worried and that kind of.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
THING i don't know that it's an, issue, okay per,
Se and of COURSE i. Didn't this is like this huge,
article and of COURSE i read it in there and
didn't unline, it underline.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
It.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
NO i mean my question doesn't. Matter it's a NEGATIVE a,
minute yeah, NO i. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Oh leagas provided solid to great goaltending for The he's
currently away from the team for a family matter related
to his wife's pregnancy and their second.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
Child that's all that's cited in. That i'm so GLAD
i found the exact the exact verbige, here exact.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
Words but he the home record for The, JACKETS i
mean they're twenty, nine twenty nine and four with forty four,
points and then the away is, eleven nineteen and. Four
so they do cite that the away the away games
the way ice that all of the top teams are,

(29:34):
playing are around fifty. Percent they're around five hundred on that.
Record that's the. Difference if you take just nine more
wins and add them from the away record to the home,
record all of a sudden everything changes and The jackets
are right in the.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
Thing do hockey fans travel To Blue jackets people who
up To? Detroit do we go to watch A rangers
game In New?

Speaker 1 (29:56):
YORK i don't Think, YEAH i don't think so as.
Much see.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
THAT i mean if the home crowd apparently is that
fifth man element? There, yes, yes you were one under
presents something that apparently is missing because the record shows.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
It i'd also like to go on. Record Is i'm
just stating facts. HERE i still love My Blue. Jackets
i'm not down on. Them i'm not saying they're. Awful
i'm not Saying i'm abandoning. THEM i want to make
sure i'm completely crystal. CLEAR i will support, them AND
i am still buying, gear AND i still wear my,
gear AND i STILL i still on the season.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Ticket. ALL i love all the things about The.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
JACKETS i just am, disappointed like the rest of the
fans as to what's going on with them right. Now and,
look you GoTab and, flow you got people, hurt you
got there's all kinds of. Factors if there's been one
constant about this, season it's been the management and then our,
staff the.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
Coaching they've been.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Unbelievable rearranging different lines and you're going to skate with
this guy and we're gonna someone's hurt and we're going
to a movie. HERE I i just it's they've continued
to keep this momentum given all the different injuries for
key players that we've. Had SO i was, WATCHING i
watched all last week In. VEGAS i would find it was.

(31:16):
Weird i'll, say you, know getting off the air at
three O'clock vegas, time six o'clock here because we're, live
and then going to finding a sports bar at four
o'clock and one of the casinos and watching The jackets
play at four seven o'clock here and to go And
i'm telling you, what because Of March madness or, whatever
technically hadn't, started but there was a lot of basketball being.

(31:38):
PLAYED i would go into these sports bars and it.
Was it was like pulling teeth trying to get them
to put the jackets. On they were looking at me,
Like i'm not was it because it was the jackets or? Hockey,
well BECAUSE i think, both because they're, like there's a
lot of basketball right. Now that's WHAT i kept hearing from,
everybody AND i would end up getting them to do.
It the one time it was versus The, knights which

(31:59):
Is Las, vegas which is their team who's kicking ass right,
Now And i'm, like they're playing the, nights you, Know
and THEN i finally.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Got them, to you, know turn it.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
On was one little screen in the middle of like
these screens that are like as big as a society
of your, house and it's So i'm, Like i'm, LIKE
i need a magnifying glass SO i can see.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
This it. WAS i don't, know that's probably, oversimplified.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
But i'm, Thinking i'm sitting here thinking about everything you're.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
Saying what we're talking about.

Speaker 3 (32:22):
Here IF i were making decisions for the, team let's
say they're going to play, Wherever, YEAH i THINK i
would do free seats as long as there's no concert
going on At Nationwide arena and tell the fans where
your gear come down, Here put a screen up for
the team wherever the hell they, are and let them
see all the fans who are rooting for them back,

(32:44):
home even though we can't be, There and just let
them see the people in the jerseys and and the
support and the love from back. Home you, know psychology
plays a lot with winning and. Losing man it do
you hit that ice feeling like you are not a?
Winner you come out a. Loser that's just how life.
Works it sure. Does you just nailed. IT i mean

(33:04):
that that could be that could be very. Good, basically
a few thousand people show up to you, know put
up a screen at the at the, arena let the
fans watch on the big screen at the, arena and and,
uh let the team wherever they are see the satellite
feet of their fans back home rooting them.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
On that's. Interesting so Probably Blue jacket steal that. Idea
send me to. Check they probably have thought about.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
It but to turn the lights on in there and
have people you're talking about showing up at nationwide, Arena,
yeah turn the lights on in. There and like you,
said if there's no that's a. Lot you got to
staff the place and then you gotta you, know it's
not even a home game where you're you're getting any
kind of revenue from people coming, in AND i mean you.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
Get revenue in.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
That people are probably gonna buy stuff, there, popcorn, beer you, know,
whatever food and all that.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Stuff BUT i don't know what it costs to turn
the electricity ont in.

Speaker 3 (33:59):
There huntington's a big, Sponsor they've invested so much in
stuff down. THERE i bet you they. Would they would
chip in for something like. That corpse would do. THAT i,
mean it's it's the hometown. Team you have to.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
INTERESTING i don't understand all of the closures that are.
Happening we talked about, this what maybe a week and
a half. Ago Joan fabrics closing all eight hundred and fifty.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
STORE J.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
C penny is closing a handful of stores in eight.
States macy's plans to close one hundred and fifty stores
by twenty twenty. Six they recently named sixty six of
those one hundred and fifty locations Big, lots closing more
than six hundred. Stores Hot Chicken. Takeover you ever Had
Hot chicken take?

Speaker 6 (34:40):
OVER i?

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Have they Are that's. It The Eastern Town center location,
done and then they break down what's happening, There AND
i JUST i keep Saying Dollar general is closing nearly
one hundred.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
Stores they have to though there's too Many Dollar. General
PLUS i believe they are Family dollar And Dollar. TREE
i think they're all the same. Corporation now they swallowed
each other.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Up they operate more than twenty Thousand Dollar, GENERAL Dg, MARKET,
dgx And popshelf stores in forty eight of our fifty State.

Speaker 3 (35:14):
They're like seven eleven's used to be. There every four
feet there's another. One it's too.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Much the locations of ninety Six Dollars general and forty
Five popshelf stores will close in early twenty twenty, five
And Dollar general didn't immediately respond to request for. Comment
they requested a list of stores the article the people
who wrote the article requesting a list of the stores
that they're planning on. Closing there's no indication exactly which

(35:41):
ones now when they're that, many, though how long did
they keep up that that fevered, pace if you, will
and that many. STORES i guess what you're saying, is,
look it's it's bound to once it. Dips it doesn't
make sense anymore for especially knowing they're a dollar so
they have to do quality as opposed to.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Quality all of that, stuff and even some Like Dollar.

Speaker 3 (36:04):
TREE i would go there and buy like, chemicals cleaning
chemicals and stuff because it was. Cheap that what they
call la awesome yellow stuff that will take the shine
off the.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Sun, man that's amazing. Stuff AND i get it for
a buck a.

Speaker 3 (36:16):
Bottle, well now it could be abuck twenty five anywhere
up to five. Dollars The Dollar tree is now up
to five. Dollars so that dependability of having that price,
CONSISTENCY i think is costing them a lot.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Too so you dodge that now because you're, like well
it could end up being way more than a, Dollar
So i'm not buying.

Speaker 3 (36:34):
IT i will still buy, it BUT i will not
buy it buy as much BECAUSE i would go in
there and you, know five bottles for five. Bucks, Yeah
i'd get a bunch of it with you, know kids
in the. House there was always something to. Clean SO
i don't buy as.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
Much we talk a.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
Lot About, amazon we use how we Use, amazon AND
i feel like buy and. Large that is part of the,
demise part of it of the brick and. Mortars and
when you have that kind of over ahead and, look
we saw. THIS i hate to keep pointing the finger
at The biden, administration but when you start having people,
automatically when what's the you, know entry level money keeps

(37:12):
rising and it's fifteen dollars and you, know depending on
which places we're talking, about they have to automatically up.
There so that's gonna take brick and mortars a lot
out of the. Equation people are gonna, go, Well i'm
not gonna go there and buy that or look for.
That and THEN i go in there and they don't,
have for, instance that that fast twitch that we, Like,

(37:35):
GATORADE i can't hardly find, it AND i just buy
it On amazon Because i'm tired of looking for. IT
i go in and it's, like, well we don't carry,
that or there are two left or. One what does
that tell you when there's? One why wouldn't you put
more on the?

Speaker 1 (37:49):
SHELF i don't. Know it's this this, cycle, Right there's
a lot of things to. Do amazons and.

Speaker 3 (37:55):
Consideration what you get for your your dollar is And
i'm not talking about The i'm talking about the way
you are, treated the way you, feel the customer.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
Somewhere you AND i were talking off the year about.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
That we were trying to find Someplace saturday to, eat
and we went to one very popular, chain casual chain,
place And i'm pretty sure there was one guy working
in the whole. Place he was the bus, boy he
was the, cook he was the wait, person he was
the door are one. Guy it's like twelve people in the.
Place we stood for seven or eight minutes and then
finally went somewhere.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
Else look At chick Fil.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
A there's always sixty line around the.

Speaker 1 (38:32):
Building. Always, Okay chick Fil a is.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
Good, yes there's better out, there but the, service their
service is top, notch and people pay to. Hear yes, sir, no,
sir how MAY i hope you? Sir thank you for coming, here.
Sir we love to see you, again. Sir is there
anything ELSE i can do for?

Speaker 1 (38:49):
You?

Speaker 3 (38:49):
Sir they get service and they're willing to pay for.
It american retail had better grasp that. Concept.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Yep have you ever returned some to coals that you
bought On? Amazon? Oh, yes, okay that's.

Speaker 2 (39:03):
Awesome guess What coles is in some states stopping Accepting amazon.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
Returns, SEE i think that's stupid BECAUSE i think every
Time i've done. IT i bought some stuff At coals
WHEN i was returning My amazon Stuff.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
Bingo So, Massachusetts, Missouri, washington And wisconsin those are the four. States,
Luckily ohios and on that, list those are the four
states where a lot of the coals are stopping Accepting amazon.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
Returns and it's. BRILLIANT i said this when it first.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Started it's a brilliant marketing move On coal's part because
you go in there and chances, are especially if you
bring someone with, you they're going to probably, go, hey
how about we get this while we're.

Speaker 3 (39:41):
Here, COME i got forty five dollars In coal's. Cash
we can and then you start. Shopping, yep.

Speaker 2 (39:47):
Yep i'm really sad that it continues to. Happen we're watching.
It it seems like every day and today with all
of THOSE i was, like what is going on where
these are usually spread?

Speaker 1 (39:58):
Out boot here. Wars, yeah don't, worry it's.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
COMING i hate to Compare Donald trump to any other,
president But i'll tell you what flipped back to The clinton,
years because what he's doing right now is much like
it's a whole new. Economy clinton created a whole new,
economy let's, go and we were everything was open twenty
four hours a, day, work.

Speaker 6 (40:17):

no that was.

Speaker 7 (40:57):
Yesterday so YESTERDAY i wore the BLACK i.

Speaker 1 (41:00):
Was proud of.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
It oh let me tell you as somebody who you,
Know stacia was on with us for five plus, years
as somebody who is in that, business there is no
way she's wearing the same thing the next, day because
now you.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
Get, crucified you.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
POUR i swear it is like listening to the it
is AND i think it was therapeutic sometimes would you
And i'd be like they did what they said And
i'm just, like oh, My i'm like these people are
so and so uh, yeah, kid it, right yeszy.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
To ask what comes in wearing yellow the other comes
in wearing blue and It's michigan. Week yeah that's what you. Need, yeah,
yeah you have to coordinate.

Speaker 1 (41:41):
That kind of. Thing would you guys put up?

Speaker 4 (41:43):
With?

Speaker 1 (41:44):
Man, OH i don't.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
KNOW i Don't god love you is ALL i could
say to, that because, MAN i don't.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
Know it's, yeah you just have.

Speaker 7 (41:53):
TO i mean WHAT i do because normally is either
because most of the time it's that they're just trying
to get a rise. Out they want you to respond,
back And i'm, Like i'm not going to waste my
time respond to.

Speaker 4 (42:04):
You.

Speaker 7 (42:04):
Good so it's, like depending on what the message, is
SOMETIMES i can win them, over but like other, Times i'm,
LIKE i know that they're trying.

Speaker 1 (42:11):
To, like you, know get your, goat if.

Speaker 7 (42:14):
They're trying to get me wild, up and it's, like,
No i'm not going to let that bother. Me and
so WHAT i do is either ignore it OR i
block you BECAUSE i don't they're not going to Be
if you're not.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
Going to show kindness on my, page then you don't deserve,
it right.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
Girl And i've seen stuff from other gals that work there,
too on socials where people are JUST i don't know
how we actually got into, this but it's it's just
it's incredibly rude AND i just don't. Know it's just
like there's no changing somebody who at the at their,
origin at their, core at their, yeah they're never going to.

(42:47):
Whatever they're so miserable and good for you to just be, like,
Nope i'm moving on AND i don't.

Speaker 3 (42:52):
Care i'm just happy When mark shows up with pants for,
you WHICH.

Speaker 1 (42:56):
I don't have, today short, haha because it's so.

Speaker 7 (42:59):
Nice, yeah oh my, goodness and you'll keep the shorts
on tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
Too, yeah in the, Seventieses so, YEAH i would. Hope
SO i would hope that the different.

Speaker 7 (43:10):
Ones we are looking at temperatures to be a little bit.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
Warmer.

Speaker 7 (43:14):
Tomorrow we're gonna climb into those loose seventies for the
highs On. Wednesday it will be, breazy but that's actually
what's helping to warm those temperatures. Up even though we'll
see a little bit more cloud, cover but some changes
heading our. Way a cold front we'll be moving through
The midwest ahead of that cold front will have our
first wave of rain showers by Late wednesday night into
Early thursday, morning and then a couple more rain showers

(43:35):
through the. Afternoon it's those afternoon. Showers we have to
watch those temperatures very closely as that cold air sneaks
in behind.

Speaker 5 (43:42):
It we're not really.

Speaker 7 (43:43):
Out a couple snowflakes mixing, in but most of that

over there And i'd look and the flowers are all opened.
