Speaker 1 (00:00):
Roger Waters, in a recent interview with The Independent, Inc.
Dismissed dismissed Ozzy's music and legacy shortly after his death, stating, Ozzy,
who just died, bless him in his whatever that state
that he was in his whole life, will never know
the music. I have no idea. I couldn't give an f.

(00:23):
He also mocked Black Sabbas theatrics like biting the heads
of chickens or whatever they do. This is what prompted
Jack Osborne, Who's going, Hey at Roger Waters, F you
how pathetic and out of touch you've become the only
way you seem to get attention these days is by
vomiting out bs in the press.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Yep, my father.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Always thought you were a C word. Thanks for proving
him correct. Hashtag f Roger Waters, Boy, you picked a
fight with the wrong family.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
What have used different language? But I completely agree with
Jack Waters. Can't do anything except say racially or charge stuff.
And to comment on the theatrix of Black Sabbath, Pink
Floyd seriously is ninety percent theatrics. Yeah, the music was okay,
but it was nothing for drug music.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Its drug music.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
It was the stage show that made Pink Floyd what
they were and for what. I can't believe even.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Reading some of the comments too.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
One guy said, you know, Ozzie never playing any instruments
and so as a result, and I was just like,
I cannot believe somebody is trying to actually take Roger's
side here, like you idiots, you morons? Where did that
come from? Was that really necessary?

Speaker 3 (01:42):
By the way, I mean, sorry, did Michael Jackson do
you ever see him on stage playing an instrument?

Speaker 4 (01:46):
How about the Diana Ross and.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
The I'm just playing out what they are, I know, but.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
I'm just saying, you know, you don't have to play
an instrument to be a music legend.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Alex Stone, ABC News.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Speaking of music legends.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Is joining us right now.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
And by the way, hey, nice job two nights ago
on the World News with I think Mary was hosting. Yeah,
I saw your story with what you're getting ready to
talk about. I know this happened, well at least you
were covering it a couple of nights ago, but I was.
I was with my wife, We're sitting there, you know,
getting ready for dinner, and I.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Go, hey, there's Alex Stone. If you hadn't seen him,
and then you.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
You while you were doing you were kind of narrating,
you were doing the voiceover, and then you popped on
there Live or whatever.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I go, hey, there he is, and my wife's I
did not. I was, but I met to H.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
I told her, I go, man, I got to text
him and go, hey, man, nice job, because I I
don't know. I mean sometimes you pop up on on
Good Morning America, don't you. I mean you and then yeah,
and then on the World news, right.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
I mean you pop up on.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
So that's pretty cool, right, I mean you know what
is And by the way, when you do something like that,
like and you're getting does it it takes a long
time to get ready for that hit and all that stuff,
isn't it or not.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
As I can or it can be last minute the
kind of breaking news, depending on what it is.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
But yeah, that can be.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
That can be the entire day for those seven seconds.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
That isn't that funny? I mean it's it's crazy.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
Right, And tell you I come home almost every day
now and have to take off makeup, which is very
funny to my wife.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Oh really, okay, well that makes sense that you have
to wear it.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
On there for Good Morning American stuff. I guarantee you
he's got on a shirt, he's got on a tie,
he's got on shorts.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Is it a waste up shot?

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Yeah, probably shorts and black socks and sandals.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Maybe just took off my makeup a moment ago from
some other hits. And you know, I never thought that
that I would spend like a half an hour every
day in a makeup chair with a woman doing makeup
on me. But then that's you know, kind of how
it goes.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
You're on the rise to start him, man, I don't
know about that.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Well, he's been doing this a long time, so he's
probably going Yeah, if I haven't risen yet, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
It takes a while. Uh well, maybe he's.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Going to be on after John canyonis for now a
new show called What was I Doing?

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (04:07):
So, uh you said you just had mate, you just
took makeup off? Now, so what were you doing?

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Local ABC Los Angeles we do.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Sometimes, but no, we have to do our twenty four
hour channel, the ABC News, live through the day pretty
much every day. Okay, so yeah we get we get
all made up in pretty for that.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
That's all the studio.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
So you got to put on gotta put on the makeup.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Okay, very good. I met.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
I was like, oh, I got to say something to
him when I get him on again to let him
know that I thank you.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
I was cheering you on. I'm like, hey, there's my dude.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Yeah, well, we see you. It's you.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
You're like part of the family here, so it's it's
very cool to see you, you know, doing stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
And thank you guys.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Your audio I do one of the things that Mark
uh when when I first started working in here with him,
one of the things he loved. And I have to agree.
When you do a story and you bring audio bites
and that that just I don't know, it just brings.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
The story the onion.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Yeah, yeah, brings story to life.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
And even when you're on Mike doing stuff for television,
I notice you will like record your narrative in the
same area, whether it's in studio or outdoors, so that
it doesn't sound like three different reports in one package.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
You do. I mean, you pay attention to details. I
love that.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
Back up on that because yeah, and sometimes when we
have to do retracks, as you call him, I go,
let's just do it all again, so it all sounds.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Dude, that makes you, that's that makes you legit.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
I'm serious, and it's a separation from you know, the
other hacks who try to are trying to get ahead anyway.
I'm just messing wonderful everything. Oh I know, I'm just
messing around and you can't really say that. That's why
I said it. So, Yeah, the story you were doing
on the World news was ding Dong door ditch and
the suspect is in court and this is a crazy story. Man,

(05:48):
I don't understand unless this guy is PTSD and he
thought he's back in the war again because I know
he's a I think he's a military guy.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
Yeah, they aren't claiming any PTSD in there, but yeah,
he was in court a little while ago, and because
of the out of the core documents, we found out
more today and it just overall it's a sad story.
But it was Saturday night. This eleven year old boy,
Julian Guzman, we now know his name. He was at
a birthday party. We learned now. It wasn't clear what
he and his friends were doing in the neighborhood, but

(06:17):
they were at a birthday party at his house, a
family get together, and it was late it was just
before eleven pm. It was ten fifty five. And these
core documents we got today say that Guzman and his
cousins got bored at this party and thought it would
be fun to go out and doorbell ditch, which yeah,
it's late, but I mean, how many kids have been
asleep over something and gone out and done this. And

(06:40):
they went to a few houses and would either ring
the doorbell or knock on the door and then run away.
And at the final home they knocked a few times
and ran away and then out allegedly came forty two
year old Gonzalo Leon and he had a handgun and
chased them off his property and then fired at them
allegedly while they were in the street running away, and

(07:00):
the eleven year old Julian Guzman was hit in the
back and died after going to the hospital and police
saying that night this I think they were able to
run for about a block before he lost consciousness and
dropped in the street.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
I believe he lives a block away.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
Yeah, Guzman's cousin says a Julian fell to the street.
He thought his cousin was paralyzed in that moment, and
he army dragged him the way that the cousin described it.
Army dragged Julian out of the street because Leon was
standing over them and was still a threat. Leon in
the end fired about three shots and was wearing all
black and then calmly put his hand down, his arm down,

(07:36):
and then walked back into his home and shut his
front door. And he didn't render any aid anything like
that or call for help. Today in court are you
a little while ago he went in front of a judge.
He was given one million dollars bail, and prosecutors they
wanted a high bail. They say that that is totally
warranted in this case.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
The allegations involved someone intentionally killing an eleven year old
for knocking on their door.

Speaker 5 (07:59):
But Leon's defense attorney says the DA is playing up
that the victim is eleven years old to make the
case worse against their client.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
Loss of life is unfortunate, but considering every other factor
leaned in the defendants favor, we would have hoped for
a lower bond.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
Another neighbors say they had seen the boys in the
neighborhood doing this. They had not thought much about it,
but when they knocked on Leon's door, it was then
deadly for a Julian Guzman, and police are saying this
is not they don't think what they've warned about in
other areas. Arizona's been warning about it that there is
a social media challenge that's up right now that kids

(08:37):
have been doing over the summer where they do with
the door kicking challenge where they go and kick at
the door or try to jump into the door because
a homeowner will think it's a home invasion robbery at
that point, and police have said, look, you know kids
are gonna get shot doing this, that somebody's going to
open up the door and shoot them thinking it's a
gang of kids trying to break in. This was, according

(08:58):
to police, typical historically, you know, what you would think
of as doorbell ditching, except in this house they knocked
on the door where they knock and then run away
and you don't have the right to open up your
door and and chase kids down the street firing at them.
And that's why immediately police said it was murder.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Yeah, man, incredibly sad, no matter how you stack it,
No matter how you stack it. Alex Stone, ABC News
out of Los Angeles, And on a side note, a
happier note.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Good luck in the power Ball tonight.

Speaker 5 (09:28):
My thank you, thank you. Yeah yet again. If I'm
not here you know why. But yeah, good luck tonight
to you.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Guys, Thank you very much.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
Do I at least get like ten million? Now that's
up to one point four billion?

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Uh no, but but you're you're going to get a
good chunk enough to where you could decide, well, do
I want to keep working or not?

Speaker 2 (09:46):
So you know that kind of thing. Yeah, what about us?
Did we get anything from you? No? No? Wow?

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Something maybe something I don't know.

Speaker 1 (09:56):

nice from nuts dot co.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
