(00:00):
This is Dan Caplis and welcome totoday's online podcast edition of The Dan Caplis
Show. Please be sure to giveus a five star rating if you'd be
so kind, and to subscribe, download and listen to the show every single
day on your favorite podcast platform. This is prime time, This is the
sweet spot. This is as aconservative that this is what you've been living
(00:23):
for, this moment right now.Where Yeah, there have been some real
highs, some moments of phenomenal satisfaction, right, I mean, the overturning
of Rope. I mean, that'sone of the accomplishments, the great accomplishments
in human history, not just Americanhistory. But we're talking about now a
sustained, long stretch of pleasure, just joy, because now we get to
(00:45):
settle in and we get to watchit all unfold in front of us,
right, just the the unrelenting meltingdown of the left, as each and
every day it becomes more and moreclear that Donald Trump is to get a
second term and they can't stop it. So this takes a lot of different
forms, but we're going to enjoyit in so many different ways today and
(01:07):
each and every day moving forward, and we have this you know we're gonna
have some spikes right in this pleasure. We've got the big debate coming up
on June twenty seven, and I'vesaid before, Hey, if it was
up to me, I'd spend allday, every day and not just on
the show, you know, talkingabout this debate because I think it's going
to be the most important debate ofour lifetime. And I hesitate to use
(01:30):
the word debate for the reason thatI'll get to in a second, but
let's call it that for now.Everybody will know what we're talking about,
and it's going to be Can youname one that's been more important in our
lifetime at least going into it?Ah, I don't think so. Now,
some people were alive during the NixonKennedy debate that ended up obviously giving
Kennedy the margin of victory that andmaybe some help from Jack Daily in Chicago.
(01:55):
Did I say Jack Daily? Iactually knew the area, reginal Mayor
Richard Daily, because I used towork as a caddy and a car parker
at this wonderful country club on theSouth side of Chicago, where my dad
had caddied before me, and thebig parking cars there and the marriage come
to different events, and so itjust an amazing experience watching him work.
(02:19):
But apparently he works a magic forJFK in that sixty election as well.
But getting back to the moment, getting back to this one. So I
really do hope. I'm sure yourlife is busy like everybody else. I
do hope you're able to slow downa little bit and really enjoy this as
it unfolds. I'm not saying therewon't be the occasional frustrating day. If
there wasn't, then the whole thingwouldn't be any fun, right, I
(02:42):
mean you got to have a littlebit up and down mixed in there.
But in any case, with thatpreface, and if you've been kind enough
to listen to this show over theyears, you may know that we do
not sense. It's one of thethings we take great pride. We send
the limo metaphorically speak and I guesswe could do it literally for those who
disagree, but we always take theircalls and text and everything else. We
(03:06):
try hard to I should say first, and we value that greatly. I
think the only thing I've censored overthe years, Ryan is just you know,
these putrid loser racist who just wantto call and use this station and
this network of stations to just spewvile racism. Now, we just don't
give them any kind of error orany kind of time. But but I
(03:30):
do have to impose a rule startingtoday. And I've never done anything like
this before, but I don't haveany choice anymore because to do otherwise would
be to fail you, to misleadyou, to allow you to be misled,
and perhaps the gravest media sin ofall, to waste your time.
(03:51):
So once and for all, startingto date at four to ten, because
they're fifteen seconds left before four tenMountain time, we're invoking this rule.
We are not going to waste anymore time on any analysis that assumes that
Joe Biden is going to be thenominee. Fair Enough, we could talk
(04:15):
about Joe Biden, but we're goingto talk about Joe Biden in the context
Okay, what impact what he's donewill have, what impact his exit will
have, this and that. Butany analysis that assumes he's going to be
the candidate on election day, that'sjust wasting your time. And I'm here
to do the opposite because there reallycannot be one sane person who is really
(04:41):
thinking clearly and taking the time tothink it all the way through. Who
right now can actually either make acogent, intellectual argument or even picture in
their own fertile mind Joe Biden functioningas the Democrat candidate for president come November.
Can anybody actually see that? No, well, we're not gonna waste
your time anymore. Any analysis thatassumes he's the nominee is off limits.
(05:06):
Now we'll talk about Biden a lot, but let's talk about him in an
honest context. And it just isn'trational, reasonable, logical, factual,
medically supported to assume he will betheir candidate come November. So let's really
focus on what matters here. Eightfive five for zero five A two five
(05:28):
to five the number. So let'slet's talk about some of the fun stuff
that flows from all that. Whois the nominee gonna be? Who is
the Democrat nominee going to be?Who would be easiest to be? Who
would be toughest to be? Butas we enjoy this, and there's much
more in the show today, obviously, but as we enjoy this, please
(05:49):
appreciate this profound truth. You haven'theard it anywhere else before, and you
may not hear it anywhere else again, But that doesn't change the fact that
it's true and profoundly true and willhave an awful lot to do with the
events that are to follow today. And that is this to profound truth.
(06:10):
When we covered Biden is not goingto be the Democrat president candidate for president
on election day, let me repeatthat, and this time I'll state it
well, Biden is not going tobe the Democrat candidate for president on election
Day. Profound truth. Nobody canreasonably disagree with that. Number two.
(06:31):
Prepare yourself for this. Biden doesnot want his replacement to beat Trump.
Biden wants his replacement to lose toTrump. Think about that. It's bulletproof.
(06:53):
There's no flaw in that logic. It's obviously true. Joe Biden his
claim to the one thing he canclaim to have accomplished, and I put
that in air quotes in his entirepolitical life is beating Donald Trump. You
really think Joe Biden talking about JoeBiden here, you really think he wants
somebody else to come along and alsobeat Trump and minimize his accomplishment. Now
(07:18):
one chance in a trillion, right, And if you disagree with that,
as prime says, I ain't hardto find eight five five for zero five
A two to five to five Thenumber text d an five seven seven three
nine. So we have this reality. Joe Biden is not going to be
their candidate, certainly not an electionday, and he wants his replacement to
(07:41):
lose. So what does that meanfor what is to come? Eight five
five for zero five A two tofive five? Who do you think the
demnominee is going to be? Whowould be toughest to beat? Who's the
last one? If you're like meand you know that Gop needs to win
the White House here to preserve aman Eric as we know it and as
we want it to be. Whowho would be toughest to beat? Let's
(08:07):
face that reality and then hope whoeverit is is not going to be their
nominee. So we'll start with thatnow. Tying into all of that,
and this is going to be somuch fun. We've talked about it a
lot, but it's reaching a newcrescendo now and it's getting better and better
as the days go along. PresidentTrump's support among blacks is exploding and the
(08:30):
left has to acknowledge that now.And we'll have some fun whistling past the
graveyard kind of sound. But we'llalso have some real fun sound of MSNBC
just saying, Hey, the numbersdon't lie. It's happening. So let's
talk about why is it happening? Is it gonna just keep increasing? Like
remember when see You beat Nebraska sixtytwo to something and we were at that
(08:50):
game. I was at that gamewith Amy and all right, see you
gets up seven whole and then theyget up fourteen, then they get up
seventeen. Wow can this go?How big? Can this support among blacks
go for President Trump? And we'llplay some of the fun sound there,
and then the debate rules have beenset. Who do you think they help?
(09:13):
Will have sound on both sides ofthat. I've got a strong opinion
there. So when we go back, let's start with the most important thing.
Who is the dem nominee going tobe? Who would be toughest slash
easiest to beat? You're on theDame Capler Show and now back to the
Dan Kaplis Show podcast. Oh,just moving on. That's for sure,
your husband, the president has saidhe wouldn't pardon your son, he wouldn't
(09:35):
commute his sentence. That's correct,as a mother, though, you must
want to see this burden, liftit off your son, Jew you could
do that. Well. Joe andI both respect the judicial system. And
that's the bottom line. The bottomline is that Hunter Biden's never going to
spend a day in jail, eventhough he should, and she knows it.
(09:56):
The bottom line is that truth justdoesn't seem to matter or much to
them at all. Here's how it'sgoing to come down. Okay, this
trial is this gun charge trial. You can bet Joe Biden wanted a conviction
for the political game that he's gettingright now. Hunter Biden wanted a conviction
once this thing rolled out, oncehis sweetheart deal went away, because then
(10:16):
hopefully it takes the pressure off onthese other larger crimes that he committed.
Because guess what, the big one'scoming. The big one's coming. It
isn't it isn't. The conviction hejust had it is tiny, tiny,
tiny, tiny compared to the bigone coming in September. And that's the
tax case. That's the tax case. And guess what the tax case involves
(10:39):
money? And where do you thinkHunter Biden got the money that he allegedly
didn't pay the taxes? On.Yeah, what would somebody pay Hunter Biden
for other than access to Joe Biden? Yeah, right, So no,
the big ones coming in September.Joe Biden's already laid the groundwork in a
(11:00):
Washington Post interview. Hunter wouldn't havebeen prosecuted except for me. So what
you're going to hear from Joe Bidenin part is, you know, for
the good of my son, Ihad to get out of this race so
that he wouldn't be persecuted and therest of my family wouldn't be persecuted because
of me and my service to theAmerican people, et cetera. Very very
(11:26):
very hard, let's say impossible,Ryan to imagine that Joe Biden allows the
tax of asion trial of Hunter Bidento go forward in September. Now,
the other possibilities, it could bea plea partt right, but that trial
actually going forward in September. Gettinginto the money, and keep this in
mind also that this tax of asiontrial should be about a lot more years
(11:48):
than it's about. But the yearsinvolving most of the Barisma stuff, etc.
As I understand the reporting, thestatute of limitations was allowed to expire
to those years. But yet becauseof a courageous federal court judge, and
because of appropriate pressure is being applied, not to the judge. Judge is
(12:09):
going to be impervious to that, but other pressures being applied. Yeah,
now Hunter Biden's going to have toface a trial for tax evasion. And
so if anybody believes what Joe Bidenjust said, oh yeah, we respect
the system, there's not going tobe any pardon. The sentence isn't going
to be commuted. Yeah, thereis no doubt Hunter will not spend a
(12:31):
day in jail, whether that's viacommutation or pardon. He will not spend
a day in jail. Which bringsus back to let's get to some of
these texts. If you just joinedus, thank you. We're talking about
the very very fun phase we're headinginto for conservatives and really anybody who loves
America, because we're going to bewatching the left implode, explode, deplode,
(12:52):
new word before our eyes. Dan, So who is going to be
the nominee? How can you haveany discussion of who the nominee is going
to be if you are excluding Bidenas the nominee. It's really too late
for them to bring someone else inthat from Frandy. Never heard that name
Frandy before? Have you run thisis a nickname? Okay, well that's
(13:13):
why. For what Frank and Andyhad a baby? Or her name is
Sandy, but we got it wrongone day and called her Frandy just stuck.
Okay, So what Frandy's referring to? As I started the show by
saying, listen, in fairness toyou, out of respect for your time,
we're not wasting any more time talkingabout any analysis based on the provably
false, bizarre, preposterous assumption, the impossible, the literally impossible assumption that
(13:39):
Joe Biden is going to be theDemocrat candidate for president come November. He's
not, So let's not waste anymore time on that. So how can
we then have a discussion of whoit's going to be If somebody can't say
Biden's going to be the nominee, well that would be like us taking your
time on air with somebody saying Ryan'sgoing to be the nominee, or I'm
(14:03):
going to be the nominee of theDemocrats, or Kelly's going to be the
nominee. No disrespect any of us, but do you really want us to
be wasting your time? Talking aboutWell, yeah, okay, next segment,
we're gonna talk about the scenario whereRyan is the Democrat nominee for president.
It'd be a fun segment, butnobody's gonna listen because it is not
(14:24):
physically possible. No, just right, that's what I'm saying, Kelly,
Just like it is not physically possiblethat Joe Biden will be the Democrat candidate
for president in November. So whywaste any time that they are dan?
Why are they so vehemently trying todefend him? Still in every corner of
the media, I have not witnessedone, whether it's Joe and Mika,
(14:45):
whether this is the clip you hadme cut for you today on MSNBC,
they are gaslighting their asses off. They are not questioning Biden at all,
They're trying to prop them up.Why expend all that energy on then,
that's just to prove to the DemocraticParty that the bootlickers, they are part
of the team. They're going todo the bidding of the Democratic Party until
they get their next set of implicitmarching orders. That's all that is,
(15:07):
right. It's all about a battlefor access right. Everybody in media faces
that choice at some point in theircareer, are they going to compromise the
truth to get access? And myanswer has been a resounding no. And
so you can see who does notcome on the show, right, right.
But I'm not going to compromise truthfor access. But these these major
(15:28):
leftist networks, they've got to havethat access. Now within that CNN has
come as close as you can toactually pushing Biden off the bridge and still
maintaining their access. Right. Butit'll be an interesting tesk come the debate.
But please, again again, understanda couple of things, and I
(15:48):
don't mean it the way it sounds, but this debate is not for the
purpose of Joe Biden winning an electionagainst Donald Trump. This debate is a
very personal thing for Joe Biden.Joe Biden is such an angry, little
jealous man. He had a failedpresidency. Donald Trump had a largely successful
(16:10):
presidency. Joe Biden wants to takeone more swing eye to eye, toe
to toe at Donald Trump before he'sdone. Now, I'm not expecting the
announcement during the debate that Biden isno longer going to be a candidate,
but it could have happened during thedebate, right It could happened. But
that's why this thing is happening.Go back to the way it was announced.
(16:32):
Go back to that little petty, bizarre playground kind of video that they
had to remember the jump cuts justto get thirty seconds out of Biden.
It looked like they needed fifty cuts. But where Biden taunts Trump, Hey,
you're you're free on Wednesdays? Andhow many times do they have to
take that one line? Right? But just taunting Trump into this debate,
(16:56):
Yeah, Biden. Biden wants aswing at him before Biden is done,
and he wants him there in personfor it. Now, if it doesn't
sound rational or reasonable, how oftenis Biden rational or reasonable? By the
way, Ryan, you see thatvideo that the left is trying to claim
is fake news. Yeah, fromthe fundraiser. That's what I'm talking about,
(17:18):
Dan, This is their opportunity,Barack Obama. You go, it's
right on Fox News right now. He's guiding him off hand on his back.
Here we go, Joe, You'reokay, grabbing him by the arm
right before that, and they're denyingall of it. Why deny it?
Listen right? Well, they lie, I mean, and America sees that.
Now we don't need to lose anysleepover in America sees it. The
(17:38):
left lies all the time. Americagets that. The only question now is
whether enough Americans want a second Trumppresidency. I believe they do. But
in terms of who the left reallyis, I think it's very clear Americans
get that now, which is onereason, not the main one. Right,
he's just incapacitated, but one reasonJoe Biden is not going to be
(18:02):
their nominee. So when we comeback, we'll continue that conversation, but
we're moving forward into other related areas, such as Trump's exploding support among black
So what a beautiful thing to see. And I want to talk to you
as we go through these numbers inthis sound that will put a smile on
your face. Here's a key whatit could mean for Colorado. People say
(18:22):
Colorado's lost forever. No, itisn't not if the big change I think
is coming is coming. You're onthe Dankaplas Show. You're listening to the
dan Kapliss Show podcast, and weare now learning more about the format rules
the two men have agreed to follow. The ninety minute debate will include two
commercial breaks, and during those breaks, the candidates and their staff will not
(18:47):
be allowed to interact. Both presidentswill appear at uniform podiums, and their
position will be determined by a coinflip. The microphones will be muted throughout
the debate except when it's a candidate'sturn to speak. There will be no
props or pre written notes allowed onstage. Each candidate will be given a
pen, a pad of paper, and a bottle of water. There will
(19:11):
be no studio audience, and themoderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will enforce
timing and ensure a civilized discussion.Oh my lord, that tells you everything
you need to know right there?Which part of it? Which part of
it? Tells us everything we needto know. Two magic words, and
(19:32):
it's not what everybody's focused on.It's not the muting of the mics.
I want to get to that andaffect will actually help Trump quote no notes,
What does that tell you? Now? We all know there's no need
to belabor it. We all knowBiden needs these notes in the largest possible
(19:52):
type for the most basic of functions. Right, You've seen the photos taken
by press him at the podium.Notes such as your wife is Jill,
stuff like that right, So whydo you think the Biden team agreed to
no notes? Because the Biden teamgot cut to lay down the rules right,
they were in the power position.Trump had said I'll debate you any
(20:15):
place, anytime, etc. Trumpcould not afford to pass on a debate
because he didn't like the rules. He's even agreed to no studio audience.
So why do you think the Bidenteam agreed to no notes. I'll get
to that in a second. Getto the phone line's tremendous text. But
I'm so honored, so privileged tohave a text on my phone from the
legendary Tom MARTINEUZO does a great showon six point thirty KHW in Denver,
(20:41):
and Tom texts me, Dan,how do the Dems replace Biden without losing
ground and credibility? Impossible to do? Now, bet question mark, walk
us through, and I go wayback. Tom very very kindly put me
on radio. We were working togetherat Channel four and I was a young
(21:03):
buck, so was Tom. Butbut Tom put me on air on the
Tom Martino Show on eight fifty kat that time, and then a lot
of good things flowed from that.So absolutely, Tom, we will make
a bet and and let's just talkabout some different possibilities there. Oh no,
hold on, wait, what isthe bet? We're trying to figure
(21:25):
that out. If people have suggestions, please text that to me five,
seven, seven through nine. Keepit in mind. Tom can afford anything.
It's gonna say, free helicopter Tom. Right, Well Tom could.
Tom could bet a Lamborghini and hecould lose. And it's like, who
needs another Lamborghini? I can't evencount my Lamborghini, says Tom. So
have a Lamborghini? Had a Ferrari? Love Ferrari? What? It makes
(21:48):
no difference to Tom. He justknows it ends in e and it makes
nice sounds and ghost fast. It'sItalian. So yeah, right, so
no, but but let's think aboutwhat that bet should be. I would
enter into this bet with enormous painsof guilt because you know, again,
Tom gave me my start on radio. I'm very very grateful, and this
would I mean literally, this wouldbe the easiest bat I've ever won.
(22:12):
So but whatever it is Tom wantsto bet, within reason, I will
bet with Tom. But here's howit's going to come down and the way
it happens without Well, first ofall, I have never said that the
Dems are going to replace Biden withoutlosing ground. I've never said that at
(22:33):
all. I do think, well, there's no doubt she's not going to
be their candidate. But but whetherthey lose ground or not depends upon who
their candidate is going to be.There there are candidates out there who could
be stronger for them than Biden isright now, and we've talked about that
(22:55):
before and we will again starting withMichelle Obama. But I chances are great
they do lose ground. And thereason they lose ground is because Biden didn't
do what he should have done.He should have gotten out of this race
on Labor Day. Should have gottenout of this race on Labor Day twenty
twenty three and just pretended to bethe great statesman who was passing the torch
(23:21):
in the interest of a new generation, gone out with a bunch of fanfare,
and instead of spending these last monthsin this very painful to watch public
display of cognitive and physical degeneration andthe vultures in his own party circling.
Instead of this sordid spectacle we've beenexposed to since Labor Day, he could
(23:45):
have gone out at a peak onLabor Day. But because he is so
selfish, and because he and Ipersonally believe the first Lady so desperately want
to hold on, they have nowdragged it out to the point where it
is likely to do a lot ofharm to the Democrats. Chances for the
White House to make the switch thislate, that that is Biden's fault.
(24:07):
Now again, a candidate or toowho could make it a plus. But
the way it's going to happen issimple. Right, one of these days,
very soon, could happen in thedebate. I'm not predicting that,
but it could happen in the debate. Joe Biden will give the little speech
he should have given back on LaborDay if he was really concerned about the
best interest of the Democratic Party andhimself, if he was able to process
(24:30):
that fully and just say that,Hey, I did my job, and
this is I'm paraphrasing what Biden shouldsay. I don't believe any of it
is true that Biden should say inhis own best interest, I did my
job. I was put on thisearth to stop Donald Trump, and I
did that. I served America thatway. It was my honor to do
so. Now as as willing asthe spirit is that the flesh is not
(24:55):
as able because defeating Donald Trump, you know, it just it takes a
lot out of you. Achieving allthe great accomplishments high Joe Biden have achieved
and President, it takes a lotout of you. And I was not
a young man when this started. But I've finished the race and it is
time for me to pass the torchto a new generation. Rah rah ra
Joe. I mean, he's goingto give that speech sometime soon. You
(25:18):
know, he might mix in alittle of protecting his son or needs to
spend more time with family, butthat's going to be the speech he gives
sometime soon to tremendous fanfare, whichhe does not deserve. I don't know
why that would be difficult at thispoint to imagine. No, I understand
if the great Tom Martinez here, because he's a brilliant cat, Tom would
(25:41):
say, but Dan, what ifBiden won't go voluntarily? What happens then,
great question. He's still going togo. He's still not going to
be their nominee. What would happenat that point is largely behind the scenes.
The vultures would descend and they wouldpick apart the carcass and they have
so much ammout are so sharp atthis point because the starting point is Joe
(26:03):
Biden is corrupt. He is corrupt. He's the big guy who is going
to get ten percent Hunter Biden wasout there as a bag man collecting money,
selling access to Joe Biden. Heis corrupt, and the left once
the left unleashes on that and greenlights those stories, you know, but
Biden, who cares so much abouthis quote legacy, Biden at that point
(26:26):
is probably going to get out veryvery quickly. And then the other thing
that's going to be unleashed tonight. We may have gotten a taste of it
last week with this Wall Street Journalpiece interviewing so many people behind the scenes
about Biden's incapacity. The Wall StreetJournal lately has shifted, unfortunately to an
anti Trump publication. Not everybody inthere. There's still some great, great
(26:47):
people in the Wall Street Journal, but on an editorial level. So don't
be surprised if you then start toget those parade of stories from you know,
and you're seeing a glimpse already NewYork Times, Washington, Poe whatever,
one way or the other. IfBiden won't go on his own they
can run him out. The finalthing is and then we'll get to the
phones and calls. As I've beensaying for a long time, they are
(27:10):
one big freeze up and a keymoment away from it just ending instantly.
We've seen two big freeze ups inthe last week alone, so that in
and of itself may take care ofit very quickly. We'll come back to
our great calls, phones, getinto the exploding black support for Trump and
who the Dems. Who you thinkwould be strongest among the Dems candidates because
(27:30):
we know their candidate is not goingto be Joe Biden. You're on the
Dankpla Show. And now back tothe Dan Kaplas Show podcast. Hey Joe,
Than's good with Y'allho's boys. Forthe first time since nineteen seventy five,
this is the NBA Finals where youhave two black head coaches given the
plights sometimes with black head coaches inthe NBA. Do you think this is
(27:52):
a significant moment? Do you takepride in this? How do you view
this or do you not see itat all? I wonder how many of
those are Ben Christian coaches. Oh, I love this guy. Joe Miszula,
Celtics head coach. They're going towin an NBA championship tonight. Here's
another from him. I'm a nonbasketball question. Did you get a chance
to meet with the royal family andif not, how was it like having
them there in the building, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the Prince and
(28:18):
Princess of Wales. No, Idid not. I'm only familiar with one
royal family. I don't know toomuch about this guy. I love this
guy. Gonna be great to seehim get that title tonight. Think about
it if the Nuggets said, youknow, been able to hold on to
that twenty point lead starting middle ofthe third quarter, and they get a
(28:38):
second NBA championship, because there's nodoubt they would have beat Dallas. They
match up great with the Celtics. But anyway, it'll make it'll make the
journey extended, but maybe that muchmore fun. All right, let's get
back to the phone lines. Ifyou just joined us, thank you what
we're talking about today. And Ihope you don't mind this, but you
know me, I'm the opposite ofa censor, but I just don't want
(29:00):
to waste your time or mine oranybody's anymore talking about any analysis that assumes
Joe Biden is going to be theDemocrat candidate in November. You know that's
not going to be true. It'snot physically possible. He's had two major
freeze ups in the last week alone. And so let's just focus our time
on what's realistic and all the questionsthat flow from that. So let's get
(29:25):
back to the phone lines, andin this segment, I'm going to address
this tremendous text from Jenna in Springfield, Missouri. DANU Gina, Then why
doesn't she spell it Gina? JE A NNA. You think that's Gina?
I know she longtime listeners, shemoved to Missouri. It tell her
to spell a g I n A. Right, we have parents this amazing
(29:48):
paralegal name Gina, and it's gI na. No, thank you,
no offense, Gina in Springfield,Missouri. But her great question, because
I emphasized earlier, the key tothe debate rules is not the muting of
the mic that'll actually help Trump forreasons I'll get into, but the fact
that the Biden team agreed to nonotes. Why did they agree? Thank
you? Gina? Get back tothat shortly, Eric in Denver, you're
(30:11):
on the Dan Kaplis, She'll welcome. Hi, you great American. On
the question that you asked, Idon't know what happens in the future about
Biden, you know, going tobe the candidate. But what I do
know, Dan, the Democrats withoutcheating couldn't pour water out of a boot.
(30:34):
And if the instructions was written onthe heel. Eric, Eric,
I'm curious because we love having youon and you can make a billion dollars
with your voice. Where did yougrow up and Pueblo, Colorado? I
was raised. I was raised inin Alabama, farmer ranchaw. I was
(30:56):
raised in Alabama, young man.Okay, yeah, but I just had
your peg as a Yeah. Wellall my black relatives in Alabama was you
know, farmers. Okay, yeah, Well and that's the ultimate compliment,
right, that's the ultimate compliment.I mean absolutely Yeah. My dad worked
(31:17):
at the steel mill. Yeah.Oh man. See those are real men,
real men and women right there.Eric, appreciate the call, Thank
you, my friend for that.I want to get to Gina in Springfield.
Why did they agree? Why didthe Biden team agree? Because they
got to name the tune, right, they got to set the rules for
this debate. Trump couldn't back outover rules. Here's why they wanted no
(31:38):
notes because, first of all,Biden would be so obvious about going to
the notes, it would make himlook ridiculous. Second, they couldn't come
up with enough notes to cover therange of topics, and so it would
just confuse him further. Third,if they allowed him to have notes,
(32:01):
he his brain literally would seize up. There would be too much to keep
track of. But here's the bigpoint. Here's and I'm not trying to
make fun of many way shape orfor him. I'm trying to be realistic
about the mental state of the commanderin chief, which is why our enemy
views us as not having a commanderin chief right now. But but here's
(32:21):
the key this debate for Biden. He knows he's not going to be the
nominee. This debate for Biden isall about anger. It's it has nothing,
very very very little to do withthe substance. It's all about delivery.
It's all about anger. You thoughtthe state of the Union was bizarre,
this is going to be Ryan.Could you dig up some of that
(32:43):
angry old man sound they used todo on Saturday Night Live, the old
angry old men's skits. You rememberthose talking about Dana Carvey a kid,
it snowed with nail boards in yourfeet, and that's all we'd ski.
Yeah, the angry old men's skits. I'll see what I can. I
listen. They he doesn't even neednotes because substance isn't going to matter to
him. This is about his toneand delivery and whatever they did to get
(33:07):
him into that state for the Stateof the Union, that's what they're going
to do for the debate. Sohe doesn't even have to I mean,
they're going to prep and they're goingto talk about substance, but it's going
to come down to a few keylines that he will repeat any time he
gets in trouble. But it's reallyall about the tone. Just seem over
(33:29):
the top, high energy, angryattacking. That's what this is all about
for him. So that's why Gina, I believe they agreed to no notes
eight five five forour zero five Atwo five to five. The number text
d an five seven seven three nine. Listen, and you might imagine in
this job, you get a numberof text when whenever we're talking about what's
(33:50):
going to unfold during the rest ofthe campaign. Where people refer to the
possibility of some kind of political violence, I don't read those, and it's
not meant to send and I don'tmean to imply. I'm not talking about
nuts who are threatening violence or anythinglike that. We just call the police.
I'm talking about people who are talkingabout political scenarios that have been discussed
(34:10):
elsewhere, and I don't get intothose because the last thing I want to
do is to appear to be plantingany ideas or giving any ideas like that
any kind of credibility. And again, I'm not talking about texters who are
threatening violence. I'm talking about textswho are anticipating that there will be violence
directed toward one candidate or the other. So I've got a number of those
(34:34):
texts as people talk about, youknow, what's going to unfold between now
and election date, and I justdon't get into those. But wanted you
to know I don't get into those. Dan. I could see where maybe
Jill Hunter Rashley Biden has a healthcrisis in the next week, which delayser
cancels the debate. I think theDems will make Biden bow out gracefully that
from Alexa, and I understand whysmart people are saying that, I'll bet
(34:55):
you everything I'm going to win. From Tom Martino on our other bet that
Biden shows up for that debate. He wanted this. He knows he's not
going to be the nominee. Heknows he's going to be getting out.
He wanted Trump one on one.He wants to spew venom toward Trump.
He will show up if they haveto carry him in
