This is Dan Caplis, and welcometo today's online podcast edition of The Dan
Caplis Show. Please be sure togive us a five star rating if you'd
be so kind, and to subscribe, download, and listen to the show
every single day on your favorite podcastplatform. Election Day, Primary, Election
Day. I have never had anymore boring ballot than the one I have

(00:20):
filled out today at breakfast at snooze, and then I fought traffic to get
it over and drop it off inthe box, and I'm thinking, why
am I doing this on my ballot? There are no contested races. Now,
I understand in a lot of races, Hey, you have to question
whether you're the American you want tobe if you don't vote today because you
look at places like Douglas County andothers where you have these very big,

(00:43):
important contested races. I hope youdo whatever you need to do to vote.
You probably have already if you're listeningto a show like this. But
for me, yeah, there wasnothing contested on my ballot. I'm still
excited, though, I'm excited forthe results tonight. I've never been more
certain that I know how each andevery race is going to or out.
But you know that's when you endup getting surprised. Right. We'll talk
about all that obviously tomorrow, andwe'll have winners on the show tomorrow.

(01:07):
Normally, the folks who lose, and I get it, you know,
they aren't very up for interviews. It's a grueling process. I respect the
effort of anybody who gets into thatarena. It is a grueling process.
But I think the outcomes are prettyobvious at this point. But Thursday Night,
I don't care how old you are, how young you are, you
have never seen anything like what's goingto happen Thursday night. So anxious to

(01:32):
get back to the phone lines andtext on that. But I want to
make a couple of quick points sinceour mission here is to go beyond the
obvious, and a few beyond theobvious points. I think I've made a
few already that are useful to you, such as keep in mind CNN has
a motive to get Biden out ofthe race. They want him out of
the race because they hate Trump. They want to beat Trump, and they

(01:53):
know that Biden is likely a losingcandidate, so that may well factor into,
you know, a less biased effortby Trump haters, Bash and Tapper
on Thursday Night. CNN wants Bidenout of this race, as does much
of the left. This other dynamicthat's getting missed is we talk so much

(02:14):
as we should about the mistake thatwas made in the past of lowering expectations
for Biden. Right, So ifhe shows up and he keeps his pants
on and doesn't drool, well andhe's a winner, he's a success.
So yeah, okay, we shouldtalk about that. But here's the point.
You've got that in reverse with Trump, and it's flipping out the left.

(02:37):
And Hillary Clinton made a comment todaythat I think just nails my point.
The left is absolutely terrified that whatI'm saying is true and correct.
That The key on Thursday night isyou've got all these persuadable voters who know
they were better off under Trump andknow they're worse off under Biden, but

(02:59):
they're tuning in to see if Trump'snuts because all they hear from the left
is that he's nuts. So allthey need to see is that he's not
nuts, and that's the final finalbrick in the wall they need to vote
for. The left is terrified ofthat, and they're terrified that Trump will

(03:20):
exceed the low expectations the left hascreated for him just by showing up and
being remotely presidential. So this wholelowering of expectations is a much bigger problem
for the left than it is forthe right because of Biden. Fine,
he shows up, he does betterthan he normally does. That's not going
to cause anybody to forget the decliningBiden they've seen over the last months.

(03:46):
And it's not going to cause anybodyto forget the declining Biden they see in
the future. But with Trump, people don't get to see a lot of
Trump, right, they don't.Where are they going to see a lot
of Trump unless they watch Fox News? And most people watching already voting for
Trump. So the folks who willdecide this race, they don't get to
see a lot of Trump. Theliberal networks won't even play him. So

(04:09):
this is their chance. So theleft has lowered this bar so much on
Trump. He's insane, he's apsycho, he's a monster, he's a
Russian. They've lowered the bar somuch. He just shows up and is
remotely presidential, and he accomplishes whathe needs to. Here's the Hillary Clinton
quote on that. Ryan if Trumpdoesn't literally light himself on fire, some

(04:32):
will say he acted presidential. Soshe is openly voicing this concern and she
has right to because guess who's createdthis great setup for Trump, the left
by lying about him so much.Walter in Denver, You're on the Dan
Kaplis Show. Welcome, Hey,Dan, Thanks for taking my car.

(04:54):
I have a couple of perspectives onthis, and one I'd like to say
that you know they're going to comeafter him, so he's got to be
ready for that. We all knowthat. The first thing I would do
out of the box is say rightaway, let's do the second debate on
a conservative medium like Fox News,Newsmax, whatever it would be, just
to challenge him, put him onrecord right there in front of the nation.

(05:15):
But the second thing I would dois I would have a live website
where I had a bunch of peoplethat were fact checkers leading into it,
so that if they said something tohim that wasn't true, he could say,
go to Donald Trump dot com andcheck it out. Why the fact
checkers are right there. You've gotto have something in your pocket like that

(05:36):
in order to defend yourself because youknow they're coming after it. Yeah,
and if you've got something like thatthey could go to, I think it
would be a good resource. Yeah, that's that's a cool idea. Thank
you for that, Walter. Coolidea there eight five five two five five.
As we get everybody else, andthis is beautiful. This is the

(05:56):
headline I'm looking at on CNN.Biden team looking to paint Trump as loser,
as loser. I hope they godown that road. Think about that,
and they want to talk about,Okay, he won in sixteen,
but then eighteen and twenty and twentytwo, they want to paint him as
a loser. Have at it,talk about t ball, low hanging fruit.

(06:18):
Because guess what, every single voterknows. The voter was better off
when Trump was president. The voterone when Trump was president. What do
you think the voter cares about. The voter cares about whether they won or
lost when Trump was president, whetherthey won or lost when Biden was president.

(06:39):
Now, so please do go downthat loser road. Now. One
of the interesting things Thursday right isis you're going to have this constant effort
from Biden, but also some fromlots from Tepper and Bash to try to
poke the bear and get Trump tolose his cool and how he handles that.

(07:00):
You know, it's going to havea lot to do with how much
ground he gains on Thursday. Ithink he's going to gain ground, period,
because of what I talked about aminute ago. The left has set
the bar that is low. Ifhe just doesn't act nuts, he's going
to satisfy a bunch of people whojust want to make sure he isn't nuts.
Now, I think he's going todo much much better than that.
So bottom line is he gains onThursday night. The big question is how

(07:26):
much Biden largely irrelevant? Even ifhe has a good night, people aren't
going to forget what they've seen. But if he has one of these sad
freeze ups, it's over right awayfor him. I think that's a fair
appraisal. Ryan, What are wegoing to do with the rest of the
time between now and Thursday? Thatpretty much sums it up. Well.
I do have an interesting update question, and then can we do your update?

(07:46):
What's the trivia question? Another tomahawkon this one? Oh god,
how unless you've seen this, Iknow, I don't know how far apart
are these podiums going to be Ohwow, I know the answer. Yeah,
No, I don't. I wouldguess fifteen feet. What would you
guess, Kelly? Eight? Thelooky dicision is looking at the monitor.

(08:11):
I'm not Yeah. The CNN CNNheadline Trump and Biden Biden podium set eight
feet apart it I mean that's wegot people in this building taller than that.
I mean so that well almost sothat they're going to be pretty close.
I mean, what is my wingspan? See when Craig and I used
to do the show, we werealways trying to figure out would we have

(08:33):
to get up to reach each other? Oh? Now I'm joking, But
why so close? Eight feet?I think I think that favors Trump?
Yeah, but why so close?Yeah? No, that's fascinating, So
Biden can hear him? Fascinating?Yeah? And why do you think Biden
chose he had the choice between goinglast, as we talked about, or

(08:58):
having the right side of the stage. Why do you think it was so
important to him to have the rightside of the stage that he gave up
going last. He wants to recreateif I'm doing it in the visual correctly.
He wants to recreate the winning imagethat he had of that first debate
last time in twenty twenty. Iunderstand the logic and it's a good one.

(09:18):
But you know how this happens.I'm sure it happens to everybody listening
right in the middle of asking thequestion. This is part of the way
God created us. Wait, weopen things up by asking the right questions.
Right in the middle of asking thatquestion, the answer hit me.
Oh, I know, I knownow why Biden chose the right side of

(09:39):
the stage rather than going left, rather than going last, and going last
normally such a big advantage, right, I love doing that at trial.
When we come back called five twentyone, I will reveal the answer and
I'm sure you'll agree with me andthis I think it's really interesting and telling.
You're on the Dan Kaplas Show. Now back to the Dan Taplas Show

(10:01):
podcast. It shows how inexperienced theyare to even be talking about drugs.
Hire friends. In the entertainment world, managers used to worry if they took
cocaine, they'll forget the lines. If they really wanted to defeat Biden,
they would want them on drugs becausehe'd forget what he's done for unemployment numbers
and what he's done around the economicstability because he's pumped up, so they

(10:24):
really don't know what they're talking about. They're scared to death. Because those
of us that's been on that debatestage, we do not need to have
any kind of drug pumping us up. When they put them click lights on,
you don't need to be gonna buzz. You need to be thinking thoughtful
because you don't know what's coming.You don't know the questions, you don't

(10:45):
know what your opponent's going to do. Drugs will make you overreact. That's
the last thing they would do.But it shows you how acinine they could
be. He can meet me atShopton the debate. Did you watch the
State of the Union? Has heseen Biden like on a normal day versus
State of the Union a normal dayversus like the last debates he's done.

(11:07):
Is there anybody in America who thinksBiden will not have any drugs in his
system. I'm not accusing him ofanything improper, anything illegal, anything like
that, but give me a break. All I'm saying is it doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter. Biden can showup on Thursday night looking like Ryan
schuleing, and it will not matterbecause people will not forget what they've seen

(11:28):
before, and they'll not forget whatthey're going to see afterwards. It's not
gonna matter. Well, only twothings matter Thursday night, whether Biden is
one of those very sad freeze upsand if he does, then yes,
it ends earlier for him. Andwhat really matters is Trump. If Trump
comes in and we get an aidTrump, then hey, he has then

(11:50):
just probably wrapped up as many unaffiliatedsas he needs to win this thing,
barring some dramatic turn of events. So Dan, I've got my answer back
to your tease as to tease whyJoe Biden picked the spot that he Oh,
have you ever had this happen asyou're driving home tonight? Have you
ever had it happen where when you'rein the middle of formulating the question the

(12:11):
answer comes to you. I betyou've had it happen, because I think
that's how, in part God createdus. So, as I was asking
Ryan, why do you think Bidenchose the podium location rather than having the
final word because that was your choicehe won the coin toss. Well,
we all know you know from yourlife. I know from my life,

(12:33):
particularly trying cases, having that finalword is huge. It's enormous because if
the other guy or gil lies aboutyou, you get the final word,
you can expose that. If theydon't lie about you, then you have
a chance to just hammer home yourpoint last. It's golden. Here's why
Biden team chose to pass on thefinal word. He's not capable of that.

(12:58):
He's not yet, particularly by theend of the debate. He will
not be mentally capable of processing quicklyenough what Trump has just said to be
able to respond to it. Heneeds a canned closing argument because of his
mental incapacity. That's why they're nothaving him go last. So you're that

(13:22):
simple. It's more about him notgoing last than what position, because what
difference does that make. But yes, he will not have the mental capability.
Think about that. His own teamacknowledging that in this very controlled ninety
minute two commercial break deal, nostudio audience, he will not have the

(13:43):
mental capacity to formulate and deliver aclosing argument responding to Trump. And that's
our commander in chief, that's themost powerful person in the free world.
Doesn't have the mental capacity to listento a opponent make their closing and then

(14:03):
respond to that that's what they're admittingwith this choice, My lord, eight
five five for zero five A twofive five the number. We have a
lot more to do today, butlet me get back to some of these
texts. People are really working hardon these texts. Dan, do you
think Biden shows the right side becausehe has a harder time seeing and hearing
things on his left side? Interestingthinking, but no, I think it's

(14:24):
what I just said, Dan.If Trump answers, honestly, you have
to say he enjoyed what he waswatching unfold on TV. His friends were
begging him to do something we've beentalking about. How do you want to
hear Trump respond? How do youthink we'll respond to the questioning about why
didn't you do more? Sooner onJanuary sixth. I don't think we're going
to get the BS question about incitingthe violence because clearly he didn't and he

(14:48):
hasn't been charged with that. AndI think you know Tapper and Bash know
that if they try to go downthat road, he'll just make easy work
of that. Dan. Either thator they will mute the microphone warn the
crowd that everything Trump says is falseinformation. So a text is saying,
hey, they may just mute themicrophone while Trump's talking. I don't think

(15:09):
we'll see that unless he goes overtime, like way over time to that point,
do you think that Jake and Danaare going to try to fact check
Trump in real time and call hislives but not do it to Biden because
Biden's gonna do it. You knowhe's gonna It's a matter of degree,
Right, You're right about Tepper andBash Tepper and Bash. Yes, that
they will be more aggressive with Trumpand follow up questions. They'll be more

(15:33):
aggressive with quote fact checking. Rememberhow Monica Crowley bailed out Obama when he
was getting just murdered by Mitt Romneymetaphorically speaking in that debate. Yeah,
they'll try to do that for Bidenas well. But here's my point,
Candy Crawley, did I say Monica? Sorry? Yeah, Monica whole different
person. But yeah, it's amatter of degree. They'll do less of

(15:54):
that with Biden, but they'll doenough that people come away saying, wow,
that was more balanced than expected. And again, please don't forget CNN
wants Biden out because they hate Trump. They want to beat Trump, and
they know that Biden will likely loseto Trump. So keep that motivation in

(16:15):
mind as well. Now listen theirvisceral hatred for Trump. Yeah, it
will cause them to lean toward Biden. I just don't think as much as
we would normally see, Dan,why wait until the election, the CDC
will move before the election talking aboutmasking over this or that. I'm here
to tell you not a chance, not a chance. We will not see

(16:36):
any effort to have mandatory masking. And say, you may have some little
liberal verbs somewhere that tries to dosomething goofy, but there's not a chance
they'll try that because they know itwouldn't work, you know. And it's
not just Republicans, you know Americans. Can you imagine the backlash among unaffiliateds
if they tried to pull that nonsense? Again, Boy, we have so

(16:57):
many great texts today. I'll haveto get to some of those after the
break. Dan, you're dreaming,Yeah, I'm dreaming. You know why
dreams come true. I dreamt i'dmeet my wife. Check that box going
on thirty years now, right, dreamt I'd have a radio show, Thank

(17:18):
you God, that's going on almostthirty years now, dreamt I'd win the
Masters. That's next year, right, And remember dreams are just goals with
the deadline, right, It's yeah, yeah, anyway, that's pretty deep,

(17:38):
Dan Well, I'm a pretty deepguy. I stole it from somebody.
I think it was Tony Robbins, but I think the way Robin said
it was goals are just dreams withthe deadline. But you can say it
either way, so I can claimthe botching of it. Hey, when
we come back, of course,we're going to talk about all this.

(18:00):
I need to talk about the carnageon the roadways in Denver, how Diamond
Mike is proposing to fix it,but why the left won't do the things
that will really save lives on theroad and get your solutions here on the
Dan Kapla Show. You're listening toThe Dan Kaplis Show podcast. Just into

(18:22):
our newsroom. Governor Gavin Newsom ismoving back to the Bay Area, the
Governor's office confirming TOKCR three he willmove back to Marin County. The Governor's
office says the Governor and the firstpartner, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, we'll keep
their Sacramento area residence and we'll staythere when spending the night in Sacramento.
In a statement released to CACR three, the governor's office says, in part,

(18:45):
the governor and first partner want tocreate continuity in their children's education.
Yeah, because he's running for president. So they're moving back to Morin,
have the kids settled in at theirschool while he goes off and runs for
president. That's why I think that'sthe most important news story of the day.
And this first partner garbage. I'msorry, but if you're not married,

(19:06):
you're not first anything. Right. Can't we all agree on that.
I think that's one hundred zero issueacross party lines. I'm talking about in
the eyes of the people of thestate. If you're not married to the
guy or gal who has the office, we don't have to call you anything.
Why would you call him first partner? Flame? Yeah, No,

(19:26):
you just got to You gotta bemarried or you're not first anything. Hey,
I do want to talk about this. Obviously, lots of calls and
text on this amazing event we're goingto see Thursday night, but this story
well done. In the Denver Post, Denver takes aim at traffic desks on
two major streets, hoping to slowdown speeding drivers. Now, I understand
you may not live in Denver. You probably don't. You're probably kind enough

(19:48):
to listen from elsewhere in the state. But this applies to you because this
crazy, out of control bloodshed andcarnage on our roadways is a danger to
you, your loved one wherever youare in this state. And it's only
getting worse, and the people ofthe state have got to rise up against
it and say we got to stopthis stuff before it happens. You can't

(20:10):
stop all of it, but youcan stop a lot of it. But
the left is not willing to dowhat's necessary to really cut down on this.
So much of this is preventable. But anyway, the gist of this
story is is you know, it'stalking about all the additional carnage and rollout
approaches, more speed limit and feedbacksigns, signal timing and all this kind

(20:37):
of stuff. They're gonna have afew more vans taking pictures of speeding cars.
No, if you really care abouthuman life. And this is the
point this leftist secular left. Rememberthe left's controlled by by the secular secular
left disregard for the value of humanlife. It most obviously plays out and
killing all these kids before birth, disproportionately kids of color, but it plays

(20:59):
out in other ways as well, such as acceptable casualty rate on the roadways.
You know, so the left canhave, you know, their legalized
Krakawana, and so the left canhave and this is a huge part of
it, so the left can underminelaw enforcement because the way the left is
undermining law enforcement. You saw thatRyan, I mean Mike Johnston in Paris
bragging about how Denver has the solutionto homelessness and migrants and has spent hundreds

(21:25):
of millions of dollars. And inpart, what do we get we get
our nine to one to one systemcut, We get law enforcement cut.
So by undermining law enforcement, nothaving enough law enforcement officers, not having
enough staffing, not having big enoughbudgets. Heck, the Mike Johnston homelessness
budget at this point is way wayway beyond the police budget, way beyond.

(21:47):
But by undermining law enforcement that wayand critically by not having their backs
every time without enforcement on the roadways, that that's a big reason we have
so much more carnage that combined withlegalized dope is without that enforcement, you
are going to have more of afree for all out there. You see
it every day when you drive,or at least a few times a week.

(22:07):
We're all seeing it. But becausethe Left is undermined, law enforcement
officers know the left doesn't have theirback. Officers know that the Left,
if it's politically convenient for them, will toss the officer in jail or at
least put them on trial, atthe very least fire them. How can
you expect officers to be as forwardleaning when it comes to traffic stops in

(22:32):
traffic enforcement because obviously, every timeone of the men and women in blue
csp etc. Make a stop, they're in a dangerous position. They don't
know what's on the other side, and so that is a difficult situation for
them. So, with the Leftundermine law enforcement everywhere in multiple ways,

(22:52):
you get less enforcement on the roadwaysand you get all this unnecessary carnage.
Now on top of that, wehave the related but separate issue of the
assault on this state by reckless truckers. A lot of great truckers who are
heroes, but more and more recklesstruckers. So bottom line is that the
left doesn't care about you. Theydon't care about your life. They don't
care about the lives of your children. And if they did, they'd be

(23:17):
doing the things now that need tobe done to better protect you on the
roadway. Instead they're doing the exactopposite. So what's it going to take.
What's it going to take to changethat? I've got my ideas.
You tell me eight five five fourzero five eight two five to five the
number I'll tell you right now. There has to be and I think we're
only going to get it through aballot measure. There is to be a

(23:37):
dramatic toughening of our traffic loss, dramatic toughening and reckless drivers and you know
what I'm talking about, you knowthe crazy stuff zigzagging around one hundred plus
miles an hour or whatever and runningred lights brazenly, and then obviously all
the impaired driving, but the recklessdrivers. The penalties have got to be

(24:00):
much more severe. People have tobe losing their freedom much more often.
Doesn't have to mean Canyon City. You know, you can have your separate
little camps for them, but theygot to lose their freedom. That's that's
one of the big things that canhelp protect your family when it comes to
the assault on this state from recklesstruckers. Again, a lot of great
truckers, but the reckless truckers. You need a whole other set of first

(24:26):
enforcement mechanisms and punishments. But thestuff that will stop these crashes from happening
in the first place. Then youdon't even have to get to the increased
punishment. But that requires more supportfor state patrol, more support for law
enforcement, more resources, laws thatallow you to different kinds of qualifications and

(24:48):
checks. And at this point, the left's going the opposite direction. And
Ryan, what better example do wehave. You have the poster boy for
murderous trucking. You have the masskiller trucker who knows his brakes are bad.
He gets out of his truck upin the mountains, the breaks are
bad, they're smoking. His owncompany tells him, don't get back in
the truck, according to reporting,And what does he do? Gets back

(25:14):
in the truck, keeps striving, makes all these choices, could have ditched
his truck off the road, makesall these choices to keep going, and
then at that final moment, whenhe's barely eighty miles an hour into stop
city traffic on the highway. Hecan either bail off on the right or
smash right into those cars and bloweverybody up. And he chooses to smash
into the cars and blow everybody up. The jury convicts him, and about

(25:37):
the time it takes to get acup of coffee because he's so obviously guilty
with the liberal Democrat prosecutor. Andthen what happens. Jared Polo steps in
because Kim Kardashian's whispering in his earand he gives ay. He cuts the
guy sentenced to five years, sobasically a year, and that's what will
end up being is the five heends up with, basically a year for

(25:57):
each person he burned to death. So what kind of message do you think
Jared Polis sent to the trucking industryin America, particularly the bad truckers.
The good truckers, they're going todo it the right way. We all
own a detic gratitude. The badtruckers, what kind of message do you
think he sent to them, notonly all over America but beyond America.

(26:18):
Yeah, yeah, Colorado a prettyfriendly place for reckless truckers, right,
that's the message Polis sent eight fivefor zero five A two five five when
we come back, want to getyour predictions for Primary night. Ryan's going
to be anchoring the primary night coverage. Get your predictions as well, Ryan,
and then talk some more about whateveryou want to call this thing Thursday.

(26:38):
It's not a presidential debate because onlyone guy is going to be his
party's nominee. Biden isn't. Butit's going to be something. And I
think I know sitting here right now, how it's going to come down.
And Trump says that he's going tointroduce his VP this week. Why is
he doing that? I think Iknow why. You tell me if you

(26:59):
agree, you're on the Dan KaplaShow. And now back to the Dan
Kapla Show podcast. Yeah, Ryan, with the primary election, I covered
Schnight's some interesting races in Colorado.I think it's pretty clear where all the
GOP races are headed. But yougot some contested stuff on the DEM side
where they're trying to run a coupleof crazies out, and so they'll be

(27:21):
plenty to chew on tonight and tomorrow. You guys start at what six o'clock
right as soon as you sign off, we'll be signing in okay, and
then still ten then obviously probably notvery heavy turnout. You'll probably know the
winners soon after seven. What doyou think the low turnout means in terms
of results? H Well, Imean the obvious, right. I don't

(27:45):
think it's going to change my expectations. But I think the low turnout gives
underdogs a better chance. Yeah, yeah, I would think. But what
is the best chance for a surprisetonight? Let me ask you to you
that way. See, you gotall your questions ready to start your show
at six, don't you. Yeah, you have best chance for a surprise.

(28:07):
And I'd love to hear from folkson this too. Best chance for
a surprise? Honestly, I don'tsee a good chance for a surprise anywhere
in Colorado. Okay, but ifyou had to, if it's a game
show and you had to say, maybe c D three because of just the

(28:30):
enormous money poured in there against JeffHeard. But then there was some money
that came in the end to helphim. But I just don't think there's
going to be a surprise. Whatabout you? Are you thinking there's an
upset brilling? Well, let mejust run through who the favorites would be
in each of these raises, andyou stop me when you see, Hey,
that one. So we'll start witha third. Jeff Heard should win.
His main competitors there are Ron Hanksand Steven Varilla. So you wouldn't

(28:53):
pick an underdog there necessarily like Hankswith all the advertising we've heard on this
station. No sod, But that'smy point. That's why I say best
chance CD three, because the Demshave poured so much money into trying to
make Ron the nominee. Okay, here's a tough one that's in our listening
audience. CD five, Jeff Crankversus Dave Williams. I bet I cannot

(29:15):
imagine an upset there. Well,it would be the upset in your mind,
huh. I mean obviously Crank's favored. Okay, yeah, and I
don't think there's gonna be an upsetin three. But you asked best chance
of us. So Bobert wins inthree? Do you think she wins comfortably?
Yeah? You mean in four?Yeah? Four? Yeah? Four
there? Yeah, but again thething in four? Man, think back

(29:36):
before Lauren entered the race. Thereare so many great candidates. Yeah,
that would have been interesting. Yeah, if she had not entered the race.
Who do you think wins four?Well, Deborah Flora just posted a
video in which some of the TVpundits at least believe it's a two person
race between the two women, andthat would be herself and Lauren Bobert.

(29:59):
And I will see, we'll seeas Sister and Felice used to literally beat
into my skull. You can haveyour own opinion, but you can't have
your own math. And you knowshe was a godsend, Thank you Lord
for Sister and Feliceich who I didn'talways fully appreciate at the time but I
do now. But no, alot of talent in that race if Congressoman

(30:19):
Bobert had not entered. But obviouslythe math is the math. And but
you think low turnout favors the challengersin that race, because I would think
the opposite, thank you. Imean that for is its own critic,
right, I mean when you're talkingabout the magnitude of and I understand that
she's a lightning round for criticism andI've disagreed with her on some things,

(30:41):
but she also does a lot ofthings well and is effective in a lot
of ways and is a heck ofa fighter. So no, low turn
it one way or the other, any level of turnout with those other very
fine candidates splitting the vote, there'sthere's no way to get anywhere other than
her winning. I would have toagree from an analytics elics standpoint. Now,

(31:03):
Gabe Evans and eight, you thinkhe's gonna win that one? I
haven't covered that closely. You.Yeah, And we tried to get those
guys on the show, but Ijust it was on it was your show
or this one. I think both. Okay, I believe both no offense
and well, I think he's probablygonna win. Now here's here's the one
that I've been dragged into the crossfireof on x et cetera, and that

(31:26):
is the twenty third district attorney racebetween George Brockler and Dagni Vandriacht. Okay,
yeah, I would listen. Georgehas a great da in a Rappa
ho and and has a great repand everything else. Obviously I'm biased.
I I'm a friend and admirer ofhis and we practiced law together. But
I I cannot see a scenario whereGeorge isn't yeah, the the nominee.

(31:48):
There you're you're the headline takeaway fromthe Dan Kaplis Show tonight is been my
favorites, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, And but where would you
bet in this race whether Dion Sandersstays it's you. Hears some sound from
Joel Clatt Joel Clatt show. Aleader of men, not a follower of
men. I'm a father, nota baby daddy. My son's traps included

(32:12):
are getting ready to migrate to theNFL. I'm not following them to the
NFL. So I plan on beinghere and being dominant to care. See,
that's great news. I'm a bigfan of Prime and what he's doing
at CU and yeah, I hopehe's here for a very long time.
At the same time, great thingshappening up at CSU. I expect a

(32:36):
whale of a game up there. That program's definitely had in the right direction.
So yeah, wow, Ryan ReflectionsReflections again. You know two big
things, right, What a week? How great to be Americans because you
get this election stuff and it doesn'tget any better than that. But then
Thursday Night, every now and thenwe get something we've never seen before in

(32:57):
our lifetimes. And that's what ThursdayNight's going to be. Because not a
presidential debate again, because Biden won'tbe their nominee, but a chance for
Trump to take a huge step towardlocking this stuff up. You know,
everybody talks about low expectations for Biden, easy for him to acceed. That's
a fair point. But the Leftto set the bar so low for Trump
by telling all these lies about himand making him out to be this this

(33:20):
maniac idiot, et cetera. AndDonald Trump is a very sharp guy who's
been very successful, had a greatfirst term, and so now the left
has set the bar so low forthese unaffiliateds in the middle. Trump just
shows up and has a decent night, He's going to gain a ton And
if he shows up and has agreat night, huge step toward beating Newsome

(33:42):
or whoever their nominee is going tobe. So I can't wait, Man,
where are you going to watch that? Uh? Probably just at my
place. I don't take a lotof notes, get some time cues,
get some highlights for us on Fridayfor us to go over and I'm looking
forward to it. I think Trump'sgoing to do extremely well. Final question,
because we didn't cover this one.I think I want to get your
take, quick takes and no upsets. Is there any chance Tricia calvaret Is

(34:02):
defeats Greg Lopez and I in thespecial election to serve out ken Bucks term
zero zero. That's bowled in.I think it's the easiest decision I've ever
had to make of all the pickstonight, that's the one that you're pick
to click. It did not certainunless Martians land between now and seven o'clock

(34:22):
and carry off all the ballot boxes. Yeah. Yeah, and then you
would have something to cover on yourshow, Ryan Schuling coming up next with
primary election night coverage. Kelly, thank you for your great work. I
can't wait for tomorrow night's show, where we'll be talking about all these results
and looking ad to the debate. Thanks for your time on The Dan Kepler Show.
