This is Dan Kaples and welcome totoday's online podcast edition of The Dan Kaplis
Show. Please be sure to giveus a five star rating if you'd be
so kind, and to subscribe, download and listen to the show every single
day on your favorite podcast platform.Just when you think it can't get any
better, it does now. Ofcourse, we're always clear eyed here because
(00:21):
we need to win. We can'tjust indulge. The reality is Biden's ten
years nominee is going to end verysoon, and then who the Dems are
going to strengthen. They're going tostrengthen because any new nominee is going to
be stronger than Biden, at leastin the beginning, and then people are
going to learn more about he orshe and their support is going to go
(00:41):
down. But get ready because we'regoing to need the best version of Donald
Trump. We're going to need thebest version of you and me. We're
going to need the best version ofeverybody because this race is about to get
a lot tougher. Eight five fivefor zero five A two five five the
number in the meantime, the longerthat the bidens and it's the Biden family
thing and driven by Hunter I thinklargely at this point cling to power,
(01:03):
the better for us, the betterfor America, because the more likely it
is Trump gets that second term.So let's hope that Biden hangs in there,
whether it's another day, two days, three days a week, or
two every single day, helps underminethe left, which is why I've to
the tune of hang On. Sloopyauthored this song hang On Joey, and
I'll play it again somewhere in thissegment. But our lines are absolutely in
(01:26):
fuego. Oj like in fuego,so I need to get their Interesting note
from Patty Dan FYIABC at the topof the hour just referred to Biden as
mister Biden rather than President Biden.Interesting, says Patty. Listen, everybody
knows he's done at this point whenGeorge Clooney comes out and says you're done,
and interesting, Clooney's not bad.In the New York Times, you
(01:48):
know, just talked about how Bidenis in private the Biden that you see
in public, and Clooney said everysingle Senator and congressman and congress person he's
talked to has said that they willlose with Biden regardless of what they're saying
in public. So, yeah,he is done, let's go to uh
hey, let's start out in Eerie, Colorado. You're on the dan Kapla
(02:09):
shall welcome Lee. How are youthis afternoon? Living the dream? My
friend? How about you? Allright? All right, I've got to
disagree with him on a point.Thank you, and let me find real
quick. Yeah. The analogy totry to keep Biden as long as we
can, I think is more dangerous, and I think Republicans, all of
(02:32):
us, should stand up and doanything we can to get him out office.
The reason I say that is ifthis guy is in is in the
kind of condition that that's all Ikeep hearing and list there's something wrong with
what I'm listening to. We needto get him out of there because he's
still got six months and if somethingwas to go haywire, that's the last
(02:54):
person you need in there, Amen, making any kind of a decision.
Amen. I say, I'm justsaying, I really think rather than just
sitting back on her hands, gethim out of there. Kamala up there,
she's gonna get beat worse. Yeah, Lee, Lee appreciate that.
(03:15):
Yeah, thank you, Lee,thank you for making that point. I
agree one thousand percent. I've saidher one hundred times on air. If
if I could wave a magic wantand have Joe Biden removed under the twenty
fifth Amendment, I do it todayfor the good of America, even though
it would help the left electorally, because the best scenario for the left is
other than Michelle Obama getting in Godforbid, the best scenario for the left
(03:35):
is Biden resigning the presidency. KamalaHarris becomes President of the United States,
gets cloaked in the presidency, thereforebecomes a stronger candidate. So it would
be good for the left electorally, unfortunately, but it's what America needs right
now because we are in grave dangerwith Joe Biden's commander in chief. But
there is zero chance he's going tobe removed via the twenty fifth Amendment.
(03:57):
Zero chance of that because it takesKamala heff to the Cabinet and two thirds
of both the House and Senate. No chance that happens. You know.
The only way they get that scenariois that Biden resigns the presidency. Boy,
I don't see that happening. AndI'm the guy who's been telling you
for a year and a half. He's not going to be their nominee,
but resigning the presidency not as likely. Larry and Hyland's rancher on the Dan
(04:19):
Kapla Show, Welcome, Hey,Dan, I just wanted to call and
tell you your parody is awesome.Thank you, and I think you should
get into a parody contest with JoePeggs, who follows you on the air.
Oh is he doing this stuff?Oh he writes parody. Oh really
(04:41):
wonderful. Yes, maybe I'll sendit to him. Oh yes, yeah,
yeah, thank you. It's excellent. It was. It was very
Thank you for that. Now playit right now. Thank you Larry for
the kind words. I've always wonderedif I had a talent, and I
may have actually found it. Joey, come on, come on, We'll
(05:02):
come on, Joey. It's betterif I started at the beginning. Joey,
Joey, hand on, Joey,Zoey, hang up. Joey lives
(05:30):
in a very nice part of town. The Democrats want to Joey down.
Joey. I don't care what yourbrain don't do, because I just walk
(05:55):
all of the Democrats suits. That'swhy Zolley, so Joey let your numbers
(06:19):
fall down as low as say Kenny, Joey's your numbers also though you're behind
Kennedy. Hey, God, Joey, you get the idea. I'll get
that up on X as well.Let's go to Dave in Denver. You're
(06:42):
on the Dan CAPLA. She'll welcome. Hey, Dan, I just want
you to know you are the onlytalk show host though I have on speed
dial on my phone. Okay, thank you, Ire that that's that with
the high regard that I thought. However, I have to go with Lyon
on this. Yeah, I don'tblame you a b. You have all
the basis in the world for yourposition that Joe is not going to be
(07:05):
the nominee. Having said that, though Ryan said something that I would respectfully
h correct him on this point. He said, they have four months.
They don't have four months. Theyhave like six weeks. Early voting starts
in many states in September. SoI don't know that puts a lot of
(07:25):
pressure on the Dems. Even more, how do they how do they parachute
which is a perfect way to putit, parasute another nominee And okay,
with literally only six weeks to go, get that engine running, which takes
the wheel of bureaucracy, take anoff a long time to get going,
and get that into a national campaign. I kind of doubt they can do
(07:50):
that effectively at all. Well,Dave, the shorter for them, the
better, right, because the lesstime for the scrutiny of the DEM nominee.
Keeping a mind that the math theDems are looking for is the same
math Biden used to win, whichis how many people are simply looking for
an alternative to Trump. It's notabout how many people will like the new
(08:11):
nominee. Nobody liked Joe Biden intwenty It's how many people will will be
willing to vote for the alternative toTrump. That's what it's all about.
So the shorter the period of time, the better for the left. Well,
well, well here's another thing,though, I mean, I don't
know. Maybe, as somebody elsepoint this out, I think Joe Biden
and then I'll get off. ButI think Joe Biden has three desperate hopes.
(08:35):
Okay, Number one the media. The media might be turned on them
now, but when the time comes, they will fall on line and start
supporting him again and then savaging Trumpas I hate Trump. Number two stupid
people. I'm sorry, I don'tknow else to put it, but there's
a whole bunch of people out therethat no matter what. Okay, one
of them's name is WHOOPI, She'sgoing to vote for Joe Biden, no
(08:58):
matter what the situation is. Candidatebefore country, okay. And number three
sheating. I do believe that theyhave a sheating operation that is going to
and I don't know to the extentI can't speak to that, but that
is I think these are the threedesperate hopes of the Democrats that even with
Joe Biden, they think they canstill maybe drag him over the finish line
(09:20):
in the most dishonorable fashion. Davereally appreciate the call. JFK is more
likely to be their nominee than JoeBiden. He's just not physically capable.
And in terms of the first twopoints, they can't hate Trump the media
anymore than they already have look atall these wrongful prosecutions. And to the
extent you believe there are stupid peoplesupporting Biden, my friend, they've been
(09:41):
supporting Biden before and Trump's still inthe lead. The last point, everybody's
concerned about fraud in the election, right, and we just hope. I
think the GOP is ready to combatit as well as humanly possible. Hey,
when we come back and always enjoyhearing from day very cogent, articulate,
organized caller. When we come back, get Biden. It's done right
on. Don't think anybody would contestthat at this point, it's done.
(10:03):
It's just a matter of time now. But why is Michael Bennett taking the
lead on this? He never leads. And where do you think they're heading?
You know that the left has decidedwho their next nominee is going to
be. Who do you think they'vedecided on? You're on the Dan Capla
Show and now back to the DanKaplass Show podcast. Why do you think
he can't win in November? Ijust think this race is on a trajectory
(10:26):
that is very worrisome if you careabout the future of this country. Joe
Biden was nine points up at thistime. The last time he was running,
Hillary Clinton was five points up.This is the first time in more
than twenty years that a Republican presidenthas been up in this part of the
campaign. Donald Trump is on track, I think to win the selection and
(10:48):
maybe win it by a landslide andtake with him the Senate and the House.
You know, first time I've eversaid this about Michael Bennett in any
context, but an absolutely brilliant moveby him, right, because it's been
clear to anybody paying attention, nooffense to those who disagree that that Biden's
done. And Michael Bennett can seethat. He's going to have access to
some information as well, so heknows Biden's done. So he's not up
(11:11):
again until twenty eight. He doesn'thave to risk, you know, losing
this year if there's dem blowback. So he gets ahead of the curve,
he gets his name out there,he's correct in what he says, and
it looks like he's a leader.So a brilliant move on Bennett's part.
Now, the truth about Bennett isthat he's been a waste as a US
senator. I'm sure a fine personand father and all that, but a
(11:33):
waste as a US senator, whichI guess is good for us in Colorado,
right because he's a lefty, soat least he's been an ineffective lefty.
But he made a smart move hereand it was confirmed today, and
I don't know whether he knew thiswas coming. That's it, Ryan,
he may have been tipped off bythe New York Times, that he may
have been tipped off because I don'tknow where his brother is now. I
don't think his brother's still at thetime. Try to defend Tom Cotton.
(11:56):
Yeah, but I'm not seeing thishappen. I have no idea. But
I wouldn't be surprised if Bennett hadheard early of George Clooney's OpEd piece that
ran in the New York Times today. And obviously, once Clooney turns on
Biden, and Clooney's representing the broaderHollywood donor class at that point, Biden's
stun And now it is just amatter of time. He's been done for
(12:18):
a long time. I've been tellingyou that for a year and a half,
but now it's down too days, weeks. Gotta have you really addressed
this part, Dann And maybe it'sbecause of the Democrats. We're getting a
lot of pushback from listeners. Domestagis to me that you're putting far too
much weight in what the elites think, like a George Clooney or these power
brokers that be in the Democratic Partybehind closed doors. They're just going to
circumvent the will of the people, just pretend the primary never happened, parachute
(12:41):
their own candidate, of their ownchoosing, with the voters having nothing to
say about it. Do you reallythink they're going to go that far?
And I don't mean about the coreDemocrats they'll vote for this person who whatever,
but the middle of the road, unaffiliated, independent, moderate voters,
they're not gonna like that. Thiswill not be a candidate who was chosen
by the people of a party tonominate. And you're just saying that power
(13:03):
brokers behind it. Why even havea primary? Oh, we're talking about
two different critters. You're talking nowabout the mechanism for picking the nomination.
And that's the point I'm talking aboutis the end of Biden, and the
end of Biden as the nominee, which I've been predicting for a year and
a half, is not solely drivenby the elites. I mean, you
look at the polling of Democrats andDemocrat leaning on affiliateds that turning against Biden
(13:24):
is what's put him in the positionwhere the truth being exposed in the debate
is and then it's a matter ofwhat ends him I've been saying all along,
Oh, how do they get himout? Well, they get him
out they start with the donor class. To that point, though, real
quick. Harry Enton's CNN just pointedout a poll that said two thirds of
registered Democrats want Biden to stay onthe ticket, which guarantees defeat. You
(13:46):
can't win when one third of theDemocrats don't want him on the ticket,
right, I mean, Trump hasninety three, ninety four percent support from
Republicans. So but listen, interms of your good point, my friend,
which is the mechanism now for pickingthe new nominee? The left has
already chosen who they want, right, but there is going to have to
(14:07):
be some kind of process here. Now, will there be this attempt to
ordain Kamalas? Certainly there will be. I don't know if she's the left
choice or not. But the bigmoney left, the secular left that controls
that Democratic Party and is so farleft of your typical Democrat. Yeah,
they've they've already decided who they want. But the Democratic voters had a chance
to decide who they want dan inthe primary they voted for Joe Biden.
(14:30):
Well they did. There was nocontest there was a primary though it happened,
people voted, but nobody showed up. But they did vote. No,
they did vote for Joe Biden.I'm just saying, how can you
just boot the will of the people. I'm not saying it was a wise
decision, a good decision. I'mnot saying they had good choices even but
they voted. So just those votesdon't count. You're just going to disenfranchise
(14:52):
al regular election in a rock.I mean, you know, back in
the the awful days of Saddaman.I'm not com Harry Biden Saddaman. Anyway,
she performed, the point being therewas no opposition on the ballot,
and so my point is whose faultis that? Okay, the Democrats made
their bed, Dan, this isthe guy the people I'm voted for that
(15:13):
they presented to the people. I'mjust trying to address your point about,
oh that the people chose Biden overwhat air? They chose Biden over air,
still chose. All I'm saying isthere has never been a situation where
the Democrat primary voters had a realchoice. What do you think if the
Democrat primary voters had had a choicebetween Joe Biden or Michelle Obama, what
(15:35):
do you think they would have done? They didn't. And here's my point.
In Colorado, I was going tovote for Ronda Santis. You know
this, But when Christa Kaefer andthese other clowns put together this lawsuit to
take Trump off the ballot, andthat pissed me off. And I wasn't
even like a firm Trump supporter atthat point. So what I'm saying is,
you start rigging a primary like this, you start taking choices willy nilly,
(15:56):
we're just gonna you know, wedon't even care what you think anymore.
Or I'm telling you, Dan,the average voter is not going to
like that at all at all. You're talking about the average Democratic voter.
No, I'm talking about people thatdecide these elections that people in the middle
are not. I think this DemocratParty just told their voters to go kick
rocks and you know, whoever theypicked in the primary doesn't matter, and
(16:17):
we're just gonna pick who we want. Yeah, the people in the middle
decide the elections. If both basesare full throated. The Trump base is
going to be full throated. Here'sthe problem, Okay, we need Trump
to win this race, is aboutto get much tougher for Donald Trump because
the Democrat base is about to geta lot more unified, a lot more
excited, a lot more full throated. That's the danger right now, and
(16:40):
we just better be ready for it, just better be ready for it.
The last time a party nominee, either one for president of the United States,
was not selected through a primary process, when was the last time that
happened? And did it work?I don't know the answer. I'm asking
it hasn't happened. That's why we'retalking about something new and how to deal
with something new. That's why I'vebeen the guy saying for a year and
(17:02):
a half, we better get readybecause this guy isn't going to be the
nominee. So if all of ourfocus is how to beat Joe Biden,
we're wasting our time. And nowthat moment has come. How do you
think the average voter, not youor me, not people on the right,
not even people in the tank onthe left, how do you think
the average voter is going to respondto an anointed candidate who's just declared by
(17:22):
FIAT very good showers that be ina party. And are you convinced that's
how this is going to come down. Well else going to go at this
point, Well that there's going tohave to be a candidate chosen at the
convention, and anybody who wants torun is going to have their opportunity to
compete, right, I mean, and let's pick this up. If that's
the way it's going to happen mechanically, it has to happen that way.
(17:45):
When Joe called out, people comerun against me in the convention Joe,
but he's going to be He's notgoing to be a factor by that,
I mean who he endorses. Maybemaybe five or six people decide to go
that way, but the convention isgoing to decide the nominee, and anybody
who wants to compete can come. Now, great question you asked the left.
You can bet they've chosen their candidate. How are they going to ensure
(18:07):
that that person's the candidate when infact the delegates will get to make the
decision. Love your thoughts on that? Eight five five for zero five eight
two five five And the first songI've ever written, a great parody song
called hang On Joey After the breakon the Dan Kapla show. You're listening
to the Dan Kaplis Show podcast.I can imagine what can be and be
(18:30):
unburdened by what has been. Now, what can be unburdened by what has
been? What can be unburdened bywhat has been? What can be unburdened
by what has been? What canbe unburdened by what has been? What
we can see, what we believecan be unburdened by what has been?
(18:55):
What can well for people who can'tsleep at night, you know, some
people listen to the Rules of Tennisby John McEnroe to go to sleep.
But hey, get used to it, right Because while she's the odds on
nominee at this point for the Dems, there's going to be an open contest
and it'll be very interesting to seewhere that lands. Eight five to five
for zero five eight two five fivethe number. If you just joined us,
(19:17):
thank you. The news of theday is that it's unofficial, but
Biden's done. And I've been tellingyou that for a year and a half.
But George Clooney's op ed talking aboutwhat Biden is behind the scenes,
exactly what you see at that debate. He cannot win. Every senator and
congressman tell him that off the record, Yeah, he's done. Biden is
done. But think about this,Think about what it says about George Clooney
(19:41):
and Michael Bennett and John Hickenlooper andall these other Democrats. They were willing
to cover this up and conceal it. They knew Biden was not competent,
he was not functional, And ifthat debate had never happened, they would
have been perfectly happy to just keepfunding him and pushing him, knowing he
was not mentally or physically capable bepresident. So what does that tell you
about George Clooney and Bennett and hickand Looper and all the rest. And
(20:03):
Bennett only came out at the verylast minute when it was clear that this
thing was ending for Biden. Texter, before we get back to our fiery
phone lines, Dan, I onepercent completely agree with Ryan. So you're
agreeing with Ryan that Joe Biden isgoing to be the nominee. Fascinating their
Texter. I think what Texter isactually referring to is is Ryan and I
disagree, and I understand it.Reasonably reasonable people can on whether the race
(20:29):
is now going to get tougher oreasier for Trump. I believe short term
the race is about to get tougher. Long term, I think Trump will
likely wins as the Democrat nominee isexposed for who he or she really is.
But short term, this race isabout to get tougher, and we
better be prepared for that. I'vebeen saying it for a year and a
half. We cannot assume that JoeBiden is going to be the nominee.
(20:52):
He won't be. Dan, yousaid donors didn't make any difference because the
Left has so much money, Sowhat difference does it make if Clooney and
others don't support thank you text.I never said that. I never said
donors didn't make any difference. I'vebeen saying for a long time. Donors
will be a big part of runningBiden out of the race because everybody said,
Dan, well, how can youget him out of the race when
(21:12):
he's got the delegates? Fair question. There are lots of different ways to
get him out of the race, and this is one to have George Clooney,
who's a cultural icon on the leftand also a leader of a lot
of big money. George Clooney sayno, we can't win with Biden.
That gets him out of the race. The point being this, the left
has so much money they won't care. They won't care if now they have
(21:37):
to duplicate checks they wrote earlier toBiden in order to win, because they
can afford it. That's my point, Dan, Do you think the Dems
will release Biden's recorded testimony in theRobert Hurr investigation to invoke the twenty fifth
Amendment? What a smart question fromSean in Loveland. No, because there's
no realistic opportunity of invoking it becauseit not only takes Kamala and half the
(21:59):
cabin but then it takes two thirdsof the House and Senate. They're never
going to get that. Dan.Maybe the Democrats already have the ballast printed
that as votes for Joe Biden. If you don't run, then they have
to trash those you know, thisis an interesting take on it. The
fact that the left has come outand said, listen, we will lose
with Joe Biden tells you that thereare a lot of people on the left
who do not believe that the Democratsare in a position to cheat enough to
(22:23):
win the race. And as youknow, I've always said that I have
never seen the proof that there wasenough fraud in twenty twenty to change the
outcome. While I'm very concerned aboutthere being even a single fraudulent vote in
twenty twenty four and we need todo everything we can to stop it.
Dan RFK isn't running as a Democrat. Yeah, I made a comment before
(22:45):
the last break, kind of flip, but made the comment to Ryan that
JFK is more likely to be thedem nominee than Biden, and my points
simply being Biden is not physically andmentally capable. JFK, God rest his
soul was in many ways, Ithink a great president. All right,
let's get to the phone lines.I'll get back to some more of those
texts. I will play the parodysong, the first one I've ever written,
(23:07):
and I think it's pretty during GoodJay and wheat Ridge. You're on
the Dan Kaplis Show. Welcome,Heydarn. What do you think of my
friend? Rob? Yes? Thankyou, glad you're here. All right.
I think this is so easy forthe Democrats to win. It's ridiculous,
and I think it's what they're goingto do. I can't wait to
hear how it's going to fail fromyou. Okay, Well, they have
(23:32):
to do and they're going to doit. I'm willing to bet a dollar
so Kamala Harris is really unpopular. We all know that. Everybody knows that.
Every Democrat knows that. So she'sgone. She is gone, Joe
is staying, and Barack is goingto be the vice president nominee. And
guess what, boom Joe wins andthat would do it. And I think
(23:56):
you know that. Do you disagree? Of course you do? What's say
you? I love the way youthink, Jay, I love people are
thinking outside the box. A coupleof things. I'm trying to remember,
as we say to our researched atonce. And I think it's an open
question whether Barack Obama could be theVP since he's ineligible to serve a third
term. I just can't remember whatI concluded with that research. I'll look
(24:18):
it up during a break. Butthere's another scenario along the lines you suggest,
which is Joe Biden stays at thetop of the ticket and Michelle Obama
becomes his VP Canada. And soshe's too hard to elect? Wow,
And what do you base that on? She has no experience, she doesn't
(24:41):
want to do it anyways, Andwe've got the world on fire, and
everybody knows that she's cute and prettyand not a Republican. But yeah,
we want her running to Middle Eastmostly probably. But my friend, those
are two separate issues. Whether shewould be a horrible president she and whether
she'd be electable two separate questions.I mean, you look at the polling
(25:04):
that's been done right now of thedifferent Dems. We know we're gonna have
a new DEM ticket. It's notgoing to be Biden Harris. And of
that, Michelle Obauma is beating Trumpby eleven. Everybody else is losing the
Trump and the current polling, yeah, nobody voted for Nixon and nobody voted
to Trump. All right, Iappreciate the call man eight five five for
zero five A two five to five, the number text d an five seven
(25:27):
seven three nine. My own prediction. I'm not trying to be a buzzkill,
you know me. I love comingin here every day. This is
one of the most fun times we'veever read in politics. All I'm saying
is is I I think I've earnedsome street cred with you in terms of
looking around corners and predictions. I'mthe one guy who's been saying for a
year and a half Biden won't bethe nominee. Let's not delude ourselves.
(25:48):
Let's get ready. Let's get readyfor what it's really going to look like.
And it's about to look like whatI've been telling you, it's really
going to look like. That's allI'm saying. It's about to get tougher
because whoever that DEM nominee is goingto be that initial sugar high, that
initial excitement. They're going to lookso much younger and more vigorous. And
although it's an alternative to Trump, they're going to spike, and they're likely
(26:10):
to spike ahead of Trump and thepolls in the beginning. And we're gonna
have our work cut out for us. And I think we're going to get
the best version of Donald Trump, and we're gonna have to work really hard
to win a race that right nowis as close to in the bag for
Trump as you can get. Butit's about to get tougher. Chris and
Denver, Welcome to the show.Hey Dan, So I guess I would.
(26:37):
I'm my comment eventually is going tobe about Pullis, but I want
to throw in here so I believethat he will be replaced. I believe
that will be Michelle Obama because theDemocrats are all about riding on emotion,
so they want to rally, theywant something exciting. They want not only
the thank the Lord we don't have, but oh my gosh, we've got
(27:02):
Michelle Obama. So I do thinkit'll eventually fizzle. But you know,
there were It's funny because I couldargue this so many ways, even with
myself, but Newsom was another namethat was thrown out there. But I
think Newsom has so much There's alreadyso much out there that that Trump's campaign
could work with on Newsom. There'snot a whole lot to work with on
(27:26):
Michelle Obama other than inexperience. Soanyway, I think it's going to be
Michelle Obama. However, I wasgoing to throw out there that our own
governor has political aspirations to be president. He's he has for several years.
He owns domains that are pointed towardstowards a website for him. They haven't
(27:49):
developed the site. Chris, myapologies, We've got about ten seconds,
But I love where you're going withthis. Can you wrap this point?
Sure? I just think I justthink they're going to look to somebody who's
leading a blue state that they considerto be successful. Chris appreciate the call,
and no doubt Jared Polis wants it. He registered that domain name Poulis
for President just days after winning thegovernor's office the first time. But when
(28:14):
we come back, among other things, talk about why there is a much
better chance that Ryan Schuling is theDEM nominee than Jared Poulis. You're on
the Dankplas Show and now back tothe Dan Kaplis Show podcast. What really
takes me off about him though,is this laughing Kamala remark. It's such
a sexist remark because a guy Iwas having I was with the weekend,
(28:34):
I'm a friend of mine. Theysaid, Kamala's laugh annoys me. Remember
they said that about Hillary's laugh, that she was cackling. And then you
know, they don't like a funnywoman. They're afraid if you love you're
right, we don't like a funnywoman. We love a funny woman.
Right now, and listen, thisis the best hope we have right now.
Right the race is about to geta lot tougher no matter who the
(28:56):
DEM is. But but the civilwar within the Democratic party over who the
new nominee is gonna be. Ifit is not Kamala Harris, and if
it is not Kamala Harris, thatcould lead to great division within the party,
the kind of division that can underminethem through election day. Now,
let's hope for that. Let's hopefor that. I mean, hey,
(29:18):
five five for zero five A twofive five the number if it is Kamala
Harris. I do believe ultimately Americanswill not elect Kamala Harris president. But
in the beginning, just look atthis. It in two phases. You're
gonna have your honeymoon phase and thenyou're gonna have the rest of the marriage
or the rest of the courtship. In this honeymoon phase, whoever the nominee
(29:41):
is, including Kamala, they're gonnahave that sugar high. It's gonna get
scary and a lot of hard work, you know, should overcome that.
I do not believe America will electKamala Harris president, but she's not going
to be as easy to defeat asJoe Biden. Eight five five for zu
five A two to five five thenumber, real quick, Dan, I
think she is so terrible and thatthe Democrat powers that be know this,
(30:03):
that that's why there's this hesitation. They know that she's the first option in
bypassing her might be even more difficultthan doing that to Joe Biden, the
sitting president. Her approval numbers arelower than Biden's, her poll numbers are
lower than Biden's. I don't thinkshe gets a honeymoon period. We've seen
her. She's a joke, she'sa punchline. People know that she's a
DEI higher. I don't see it. I don't see her as being a
(30:25):
preferable option at this point to JoeBiden at all. And I'm not sure
we ever get to her because listen, one of the reasons that the left
needs Biden out now is so thatthey have time to work on Kamala between
now and the convention, and theyhave time to undermine that support because these
people want to win at all costs, right on the left, and they
(30:47):
know Kamala is not a winner, and so yeah, this gives them.
The sooner they get Biden out,the more time they have to undermine Kamala.
On a much lighter note, listen, the flip side is true.
The longer that Joe Biden stays inthis race. The better for Trump,
the better for all go Op candidates. We need Biden to hang in there
each and every day. Can Theend is very very near politically, but
(31:08):
we need every single day of thiscannibalism we can get. So that's what
inspired me to write this parody ofhang on, Sloopy Joey lives in a
(31:41):
very nice part of towns Joey down, Joey. I don't call what your
brain don't do, because I justwalk all of the Democrat suits. That's
(32:10):
why I see Joey Shelly. Hangup Joey, so all show you.
Let your numbers fall down as lowas take can be. Show me your
(32:37):
numbers also low. You're behind Kennedyto hang on, Joey, come on,
come on you hang on, Joey, come on, come on,
We'll come up. Jolly, bedown, be down. We'll come tell
(32:58):
the big I think it has anice group you can dance to that.
We need every single day we canget of this wrecking ball within the Democratic
Party, the better. But wegot to be realistic. It's not going
to last much longer now, Biden, and we'll be covering it tomorrow,
hopefully live, depending on the timingis supposed to have what the White House
(33:21):
is calling officially a quote big boypress conference, and if that goes forward,
we'll be covering that certainly, andthere should be some real tell in
that also. I don't think youconsider Ryan and say, oh, if
Biden goes ahead with the press conference, he's going to stay in the race,
Not at all. I think heprobably already realizes he's done one way
or the other. I think he'dwant to do this press or just kind
(33:43):
of a personal pride thing, takesome more shots at Trump, etc.
But man, this is so muchfun right now. Let's just get ready
for the harder work, because it'sgoing to be a tougher race soon.
I cannot wait. Can you imaginewhat's ahead of us right now? The
GOP convention next week? Ryan,If you're betting the estate, the Shooling
estate right now, let's say theWest coast one. Who is the VP?
(34:06):
Who's Trump's VP? Oh? Wow, Doug Bergham. But I'm hearing
a lot of traction for Glenn Youngkindown the stretch here. Dan. Yeah,
so I don't think it could beBergham, But yeah, I mean,
so we're gonna get the GOP Conventionnext week. We get all this
chaos and the Democratic Party in themeantime. Don't be surprised if the choreography
now is to announce in some glowingterms for Joe Biden passing the torch,
(34:31):
the transition Biden out of the raceduring the GOP Convention to try to upstage
that and take attention away from it. Ryan, great job, Kelly,
you as well. Please join ustomorrow on The Dan Kaplis Show.
