Speaker 2 (00:14):
Boy, a lot of ground to trever this afternoon.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Glad you're here at three oh three seven one three
eight two five five text d A N five seven
seven three nine. I'll go to some texts now drop
in anytime. If you just joined us, Thank you. We
started the show talking about the latest horror that's brought
on by the lefties who controlled Colorado, the slaughter of
this wonderful family on I twenty five yesterday Monday. And

(00:38):
and this this slaughter caused by somebody who had stolen
a car. They stole a car and then they were
driving like a bat out of hades and they lost control.
And you've got this father, thirty five year old from
Colorado Springs driving northbound into the Denver area.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
And then what happens.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Then then you have this criminal who had stolen the
car are hitting them head on, destroying them, killing the
father and three children in the car. And so we
talked about how this soft on criminal, pro criminal, anti victim,
anti innocent attitude of the Democrats in Colorado has made
your life so much more dangerous on the roadways.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
And I'm drilling down on that.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
So if you have any thoughts on what we can do,
and I've offered some real concrete stuff, what we can
do to make the roadways safer than fire away, because
it's something together across party lines. We've got to find
a way to do because the elected people they're not
going to be willing to do it, because all the
big money in the Democratic Party now is pro criminal
and anti innocent.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
But this has to be the pinnacle of it, right.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Keep it in mind. This sound I'm about to play.
This isn't some drunk or druggie on a barstool. This
is the Attorney General of the state of Colorado talking
about the kind of guy who just killed this family
of four a car thief.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
After someone commit it's a third or fourth car theft
in say three months, they should be kept in with
a really high bond because you got a sense they're
gonna get out, they're gonna commit more crimes.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
So that's the Attorney General of the State, speaking for
the Democratic Party. You can steal two, three, four in
three months and we'll let you keep doing it. But
more than that, we might have to lock you up.
Knowing what a stolen car does to people, does to
their life, their ability to earn money, Knowing a lot
of people who steal cars are stealing them to commit

(02:32):
other crimes. Knowing a lot of people who steal cars
are reckless drivers. That's how little they care about you.
So we've got that topic going, love to hear from
you on it. I've got some great texts and I'll
get to him right now. Some other things I want
to kick around Alex Hunter, the Boulder DA, obviously, the
DA at the time of the Ramsey case passed away yesterday.

(02:53):
And I knew Alex very well and have a lot
of Alex Hunter stories, and I want to pass one
or two along because obviously Alex made some mistakes along
the way is everybody does in whatever profession they have,
But I knew him as.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
A really good guy who.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Did some really good, noble, righteous things, and so I
just want to pass some of those along because they
don't really get talked about. And then, of course it
appears we're getting close to a peace deal in Ukraine.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
I know we've heard that before.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
This time it looks to be real, and I've got
some thoughts on that I want to pass along the
I want to get to this text, Dan, what date
did the crash happen?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
I can't find online.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
I always need proof on mentioning something like this to
my COMMI family. I would imagine Ryan, as you pointed out,
he's loading up for Thanksgiving, at which I would not
necessarily recommend. But yes, Kusa did a good piece on this.
You can pull it off the website heading his stolen
vehicle involved in crash that killed five people. I misspoke,

(03:58):
not I twenty five. It was on Parker Road eighty
three and eighty six in Franktown, So I misspoken the
location of the crash. But you can get that story
off Kusa. I guess we've just had so many of
these on I twenty five, and it's happening all the time,
and it doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves. But

(04:19):
but Jeff, so there you will have your am for
Thanksgiving dinner. Daan that Democrats are too good at manipulating
their low information voters.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
I don't think that's fair.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
I mean, you look across the state and Democrats are
winning these statewide races over some really good Republican candidates
by wide margins, race after race after race, no matter
how much worse Democrats are making life in Colorado at
the time. Which goes back to my premise. If somebody's
sitting around thinking that, oh, it's going to get bad

(04:50):
enough in Colorado that they eventually elect Republicans to state
wide office, you're crazy. That ain't going to happen. We
already know that from the results. You know it's going
to have to happen. Is you're going to have to
have the right candidate at the right time, with a
near perfect campaign, and get some breaks, and then they
break through and then all of a sudden people say, oh, Okay,

(05:14):
there's a face to the Republican Party and things actually
can be better in Colorado. That's what it's going to take.
Things have fallen to that point so it can be done.
But it's not going to be because of gravity, because
we all know right now things are going to keep
getting worse in Colorado because that's what these policies do.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
It's gravity. There's no doubt about that.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
But Republicans are going to have to do some very
good things on offense to break this cycle. And I
don't think it's about low information voters. I don't think
it's at at all. I think what you have is
that Democrats essentially operate most of the media. I don't
mean they own it and they walk into newsrooms in

(05:56):
the morning and give the story agendas. But as a
practical man, the vast majority of the media, with some
noble exceptions, is an extension of the Democratic Party.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
So yeah, it's tough.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
It's an uphill climb, but you know what, we can't
whine about it. We just got to find a way
to make the climb. Kind of like the Founders faced.
This one looks very good. Grew up in southern California.
It's just too long to read. If you can shorten
it up, would love to do that. Dan Colorado could
burn to the ground before they will vote for Republicans,
Dave in the Hood. I think that's true, But that

(06:29):
doesn't mean Republicans can't win in this cycle or the
next cycle. It's just going to take Republicans doing great
stuff with great candidates. Dan Watson, Nation of Laws, the
US has become a lawless nation. No, we haven't, but
that's what the Democrats want. They want a lawless nation.
They want a lawless Colorado. They want a lawless America
because for the left to take and keep and hold

(06:52):
power long term, they have to completely undermine you know,
traditional America and our institutions and our noise, starting with
the family. So yeah, they do want a lawless nation.
Dan acting naively for a smart lawyer. Let's see, is
he talking about you, Ryan? No, I am not getting

(07:14):
your degree.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
You should be. My friend Adeline beat me to it
past fifteen years.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Identify a conservative or Republican win well, Corey Gardner. I
heard George b lost a race about seven years ago
that he clearly won, but eleventh hour he lost. Do
you believe in Santa two machines and mail ballots are manipulated.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Talk with George about his election. Listen. George is an
example what I was talking about earlier.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
We have had some outstanding Republican candidates get beat George
Brockler's one of them. My good friend in law, partner,
managing partner of a firm, John Kellners and other These
are outstanding candidates and they were the leading Republican vote getters,
but they still lost in a case where they clearly
would have been far superior in office to their now

(08:01):
our Texter firmly believes that the reason GOP candidates are
losing is stolen elections.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
I do not.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
I think we're deluding ourselves if we think that's why
we're losing, and that's only going to perpetuate the losing.
You know, are there legitimate concerns about fraud?

Speaker 2 (08:17):
You bet?

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Should there be any fraud tolerated nu but denials not
just a river in Egypt. Stick your head in the
sand and you get your you know what kicked?

Speaker 2 (08:28):
All right? Three oh three?

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Someone three eight, two five five the number. Hey, I
want to make a quick comment on Ukraine. Touch on
Alex Hunter on the other side. A couple of stories
I think you'll find interesting and important. We won't take
that much time with it. I understand Alex isn't that
relevant these days.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
He was kind of the DA in.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Terms of press attention and everything back in the day.
But there are some broader lessons there, and he does
deserve credit from some really good things he did behind
the scenes, really righteous things that were not going to
help his popularity as DA. But when it comes to Ukraine,
looks like there's probably going to be a deal sometime soon.

(09:12):
And it looks like that deal, as we discussed and
expected a long time ago, is going to involve Satan
aka Putin being allowed to keep some territory that he
obtained through murder and rape and pillaging. Fundamentally unjust right,

(09:34):
But don't blame Trump for that. As I told you
years ago, and you probably knew before I even told you,
the only way that Satan was going to be defeated
here and that Russia was going to get kicked out
without any land is if Europe decided to put boots
on the ground. And once Europe decided it was going

(09:54):
to be all talked, some money, no meaningful action. At
that point, they conceded Ukrainian territory to Putin. Heck, Biden
tried to get Zelenski out of there in the first
forty eight hours, offered him a plane ride out. So
Trump is just stopping the slaughter. Trump's doing the best

(10:17):
he can to minimize the harm. The blame for Satan
getting this land lies on Joe Biden for his pathetic
weakness that essentially invited putin to come in and it
lies on Europe for not being willing to stand up
for Ukraine.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
You're on the Dan Kapla.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
Show, and now back to the dan Kapla Show podcast.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
Talk about Prisco in size. But when I talk about Prisco,
I get angry because he's.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Not letting us do the job.

Speaker 5 (10:48):
So I'm not going to tell my Pritsker joke.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
They have a very cute little joke.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
You know, some speechwriter wrote some joke about his weight.
But I would never want to talk about his weight.
I don't talk him out people big fat. I refuse
to talk about the fact that he's a fat slob.
I don't mention it on a more serious note as we.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Out. I often praise Trump for his humor.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
I think he's the funniest president of our lifetime by multitudes.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
But not to be a prude.

Speaker 6 (11:20):
But I.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Will draw the line. I do think we should draw
the line. Tell me if you think I'm wrong. I
think we should draw the line at fat jokes.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Oh you didn't let her finish. Oh he took it back.

Speaker 7 (11:30):
No, there's a little bit of a.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Okay, I didn't.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
I never knew there was proper context for a fat joke.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
But let's listen. Okay, let's listen.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
Gather around the dinner table.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
I'd like to lose a few.

Speaker 5 (11:43):
Pounds too, by the way, and I'm not going.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
To lose it on Thanksgiving. I can tell you that.
What's your point?

Speaker 7 (11:50):
I mean in front of himself too, I'd like to
lose a few pounds too, but I'm not going to do.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
It because the other guy a fat slob, and Pritzker
obviously is obese.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Trump is not obese. But but anyway, some modern measures
he would be Are there lines? You tell me?

Speaker 1 (12:05):
Are there lines when it comes to jokes? Three oh
three seven one three eight two five five takes d
a n five seven seven three nine. I think Trump
is our funniest president ever, and that's great, and it's
often very good for the country.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
This goes over.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
I just think there should never be any kind of
fat joke of any kind. And here's why, because a
lot of people it's not their fault. There's nothing they
can do about it. I mean they've and even if
they could, there shouldn't be fat jokes, right, even if
somebody just eats too much ice cream. But there are
so many people no matter what they do, They're going
to be very very large, and we can get into,

(12:39):
you know, all the medicine and this and that. But now,
what do you think Ryan should Should we draw the
line of fat jokes or should fat jokes be fair game?

Speaker 7 (12:47):
I think they're you know, well, they're low hanging fruit,
cheap and easy. There's not much creativity involved. So I'm
not a fan of them because they're just usually not
that funny. But I think Trump bringing it back on himself,
you know a little bit, is better than just putting
on a fat blast against J. D.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Pritzker, which he did do. Ok. Yeah, I think j D.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
Pritzker, who by the way, I think does awful awful
things as a public official.

Speaker 7 (13:12):
And calls Donald Trump a fascist, I might add, so,
I don't know which is that.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Word is lost all mine. I mean, it really has
that who cares like Trump? In the oval officer, I'm donnie,
no just say I'm a fascist. I'm sorry that Mike's
call from Lone Tree dropped.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
I really wanted to take his question on this horror
and let's not call it an accident.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
This was a mass murder.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
This was another mass murder by a reckless driver, this
one who had stolen a car. Democrats have have just
created this environment in Colorado. Well, we'll let him speak
for itself. For the attorney, Gerald says, Yeah. He essentially says,
you can have two or three free ones car thieves.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
After someone commits a third or fourth car theft in
say three months, they should be kept in with a
real high bond because you got a sense they're gonna
get out, they're gonna commit more crimes.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
That's how insane it is.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
So you get this guy who steals a car in
Aurora and then he murders this family, this family driving
through Franktown, father thirty five years old from Colorado Springs.
He's driving up three children in the car, murdered two

(14:24):
other children. Flight it out.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Yeah, it what I find so hard to understand.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
But we have to accept the reality that Republicans are
going to have to find a way to defeat this
is the people of Colorado keep electing these lefties over
and over and over again. When it's cleared these lefties
don't care about you at all. They don't care about
your children, they don't care about your family. They are
actively pro criminal and actively anti innocent, and they show

(14:55):
that in so many different ways, and yet they just
keep winning. So those sitting around waiting for Colorado gets
so bad Republicans are elected, you would have to wait
past the trinity because that is not gonna happen. Republicans
might win in this cycle, but it's not going to
be because Democrats were so bad. Because Democrats are already

(15:16):
so bad.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Let's go to the phone lines.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Talk to Tony in Roxborough. You're on the dan Kaplis show.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Welcome.

Speaker 8 (15:24):
Yes, jokes can certainly be inappropriate. It's all based on timing.
Really well, timing is a part of it. But I
can give you an example of a really really poorly
time joke. It's clean, but it's it was not kind.

(15:44):
Back in the mid eighties, when the Challenger explosion happened, we.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Don't want any Challenger jokes.

Speaker 8 (15:51):
Well that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Yeah, yeah, so we yeah, we can all agree that
those are off limits.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
I don't want to Challenger jokes.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Yeah, who would tell a Challenger joke? Did you tell
a Challenger joke?

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Tony? No?

Speaker 8 (16:04):
I was, No, I was. I was one of the
persons people that was it was told to. But the
thing that was really bad about it was. It was
two months after the explosion and boom, and I was like, wow.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Yeah, yeah, you know, so there are lines, my friend.
But hey, you can have Thanksgiving with family, Yes, sir,
do you have a good joke in the box, just
two or three pre prepared? You can pull out it
just the right man. It's sure winners. You got any
of those? Ryan, Do you have run for Tony? Do

(16:40):
you have run for Tony?

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Not ready?

Speaker 6 (16:41):
Mande?

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Okay, Well we'll take some calls and text down that.
We'll also do it tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Just surefire guaranteed winners, family friendly winners for Thanksgiving. Totally
a political, but then you want to have a good
political one in reserve in case you needed Tony. Thanks man,
do appreciate the call. So we'll devote to some of
the show to that tomorrow. But if you have a
good one today, we will take it. Three out three
sevene three two five five the number text d an

(17:08):
five seven seven three nine Dan. John Kellner was an
awesome candidate, as sure was, and now he's my law
partner and our managing partner.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
We've had some very very good candidates.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Republican candidates in Colorado lose and so how do we
break that cycle that that's tying into the conversation today
about all the horrors, you know, being visited on the
people of this state for reckless drivers. Today's big story
other kinds of crime.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
What does the GOP have to do to win?

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Dan, the Denver metro area won't ever be motivated to
vote Republican.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Oh, you are so wrong, my friend. I hope you
call the show so we can have this conversation Denver.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
The Denver metro area, take Denver itself has a thriving
Latino community, a thriving African American community.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Democrats have so.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Abused, they have so abused our Latino communities, African Americans
holding their children down through fighting school choice. There are
lots of ways to win in Denver.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
You're listening to the Dan Kaplis Show podcast.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Glad you're here talking today about this horrific mass killing
in Franktown. This criminal steals a car in Aurora and
then very predictably drives it recklessly, kills this thirty five
year old father kills three children in the car, young kids,
and then two teenagers flighted out.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
And it's this kind of murder, It's this kind of murder.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
That the Democratic leadership actively invites to Colorado. You see,
Jared Polis, we have a murderous trucker kills all those people,
lights them up out on I seventy, burns them to death.
And the evidence was overwhelming. This was murder.

Speaker 8 (18:59):
The jury.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
I only took a cup of coffee before they convicted
him a multiple council murder. But Jared Polus sweeps in
after Kim Kardashian whispered, sweet, nothing's in her ear and
Jared Polis said, no, you get out in five years.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
I mean, that just invites.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Reckless drivers, reckless truckers to come to Colorado. This guy
who stole a car and drove recklessly and murdered this
family in Franktown, well, very predictable that would happen, right,
But the top top Democrats in the state, how about
Attorney General Phil Wiser? That they actively invite through their
actions car thieves to come to Colorado.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
If you're a car thief, why would you live in
any other state? Listen to this.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
After someone commits a third or fourth car theft in
say three months, they should be kept in with a
really high bond. Because you got a sense they're gonna
get out, They're going to commit more crimes.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Wow, if that was a drunk at the end of
the bar, you would say to the bar turner, you
got to cut this guy off, right. I mean, that's
just insanity. But that's inviting car thieves to Colorado. Police
invites reckless truckers to Colorado, or at least truckers to
drive recklessly while they're here.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
It is that bad.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
So we got to start protecting ourselves in this state
because there is so much carnage on the roadway. I know,
it's what I do for a living. I've done it
for forty two years now, representing victims. Got I look
at these pictures all the time. I see these families
that are ripped apart and so needlessly. But the Democrats,
they are actively encouraging it through these soft laws, through

(20:34):
cutting these criminals of break. They're recruiting criminals to Colorado
in effact, that's what they're doing.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
That's the effect it's having.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Text or Dan say the name of this family that
was evaporated in Franktown due to crime, that ten thousands
may pray this holiday season for them.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Texter.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
I'd love to, but the name hasn't been released yet,
at least not what I can find in the media,
but I will let you know. And in the meantime,
obviously great thought and we can all pray for them. Dan,
longtime listener, best opening of any show. Pathetic treatment of
Colorado citizens while cuddling to criminals. God bless you and
thank you Texture. But I would suggest it goes further

(21:10):
than that. How do you read this any other way
than active recruitment of criminals to Colorado? How can you
read it any other way? When you hear what Wiser says,
You see what polists did. You see how they soften
the laws, You see how they let people out of jail.
How can you read it any other way? Look at

(21:30):
this monster who died in jail today, who killed all
those people in Colorado Springs. He died in jail, and
you know, the planned Parenthood killer. He came to Colorado
for the legal marijuana. And they knew when they legalized
marijuana it was going to attract some bad, bad actors.
Obviously a lot of people do that stuff, and they're
not bad actors, but they knew it would attract bad actors.

(21:53):
They knew it would attract more homeless. They knew when
they just changed the law. Polish just changed the law.
So if you're anywhere in America or the world illegally
and you get to Colorado tomorrow, you can get your
license in a day. It used to be it would
take years and you shouldn't be able to get it
at all. But now they've made it so you can
get it in a day, and you can use a ten
year old ID to get it. So why do you

(22:15):
think they're actively recruiting folks here illegally to Colorado?

Speaker 2 (22:19):
And when they do that, they know that along.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
With the good law otherwise law abiding people here illegally,
they're going to be attracting a whole bunch of people
who are hard in criminals, rapist and murders included. But
that doesn't stop Polis and Johnston and all of them
from changing the laws to attract more hair. Why do
you think they're recruiting, actively recruiting more criminals to Colorado,

(22:44):
more homeless to Colorado? Three O three seven one three
eight two five five the number techs DN five seven
seven three nine. And you're probably like me. You know,
I know plenty of people who are in the country
legally and some of the finest people I know are
in the country illegally. Yeah, they shouldn't have broken our
laws and come here, but otherwise they're among the finest

(23:05):
people I've ever met. And I know all of some
people who came here illegally who are the worst imaginable criminals.
But Paulis and Johnston, they recruit them all to come here,
and yet they keep getting elected. What's it going to
take to change yet? Now, this is a hard turn.
But when I invited and welcome David and Colorado Springs,

(23:26):
they're starting to stockpile good family friendly jokes. Sure, winners
for Thanksgiving, dinner, fire away my friend.

Speaker 6 (23:34):
Well, these are insauts, but they're prop they're not improper.
Is that okay?

Speaker 2 (23:38):
What was the first part?

Speaker 6 (23:40):
They're insults, but they're not dirty. Oh sure, okay, here's
a couple for you. I got in trouble for these.
So you look at somebody who say, is that you're headed?
Did your next throw up? You look at a short
person who say you look at a short person, They
stand up and you're talking to me. In the years,
you look at somebody who got their haircut and say
that's a good How.

Speaker 9 (24:00):
Do you get to come through the nose like that to.

Speaker 6 (24:03):
A fat person. You say, how's it going?

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Well?

Speaker 6 (24:06):
Not too good? Because I stepped on the scale this morning.
It said one at a time. And then you know,
did you hear about the new things for the liberal colleges?

Speaker 5 (24:17):
No?

Speaker 6 (24:17):
If you if you went to a liberal college, you
can hang your diploma in the river mirror, Parker handicap.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
Now, David, here's a question. Why would you want to
tell any of these because you asked, oh no, no,
But why would you think that if I here's my point.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
You know what I'd recommend for you, and I mean
this would love And I'm going to do the same
darn thing I do before every Thanksgiving. Just go online
and pull up Rodney Dangerfield's Best because he does these
jokes and there isn't the mean edge to them. He yes,
So just just my free advice, just go they have

(24:59):
one up. I was watching it the other morning while
I worked out that Rodney Dangerfield's one hundred best.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
And it just it's they're fun. They don't have that edge.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
But David, report back to us if you decide to
use those over Thanksgiving, report back to us, because my
guess is come on.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
It'll be a quiet Hey Mike, you sound how you
doing good? Thank you.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
I'm guessing you're not happy to be holding, but I'm
sure glad you called us.

Speaker 9 (25:25):
Oh yeah, I got a correction. ABC came out with
other names of the victims. Oh okay, no fund me.
There's a go fundme account that is established that people
can contribute to. My question is we know that this
person's thirty one, we know he's from Denver. The police
must obviously have more information, but they release all the

(25:46):
information on the victims, but we know nothing about the
person who committed the crime. Do you know why or
do you know anything about this? Versa?

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Yeah, let me tell you what I have right now.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
And I've had my researcher working on this actively, and
I have a bunch of information in front of me
on what I believe to be as prior offenses, but
I have not been able to independently confirm it, so
I don't want to report it yet. But my understanding
could be wrong. My understanding is that the defendant is,

(26:19):
or the deceased perpetrator is Walter Euleing h U l
I n G, thirty one years old with a long
criminal history, and so what my researcher has been doing
is digging in and getting as much information as possible
on the criminal history. I literally have it sitting in
front of me right now, but I just need to

(26:40):
independently confirm it.

Speaker 9 (26:43):
Yeah, I'm just sort of surprised because the police obviously
must have a whole bunch of information with technology today
on this guy, not releasing it, but yet they released
the names of every victim. He was. He had three
of his children and two children, and two of his

(27:05):
children died, one of her children died and the other
two are one of each. And that's what they said
on Channel seven and.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Heart breaking, And Mike, thank you for that heads up.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
I'll go check KMGH right now and pull the names
and report those after the break. So yeah, I've been
actively working to get the full details on the criminal
history of this perpetrator. And keep it in mind, this
is the kind of guy that Phil Wiser would give
a big break to.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
After someone commits a third or fourth car theft in
say three months, they should be kept in with a
really high bond because you got a sense they're gonna
get out, they're going to commit more crimes.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Just stunning and we can talk more about it after
the break. But when you think about the lack of
regard for human life, for your human life, that why
and Polis and Johnston and the rest of these lefties have,
It's got to be a completely different world view that
no normal compassionate person can relate to. You're on the

(28:11):
Dan Caplas.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Show and now back to the Dan Kaplas Show podcast.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
It really is.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Interesting to watch this overalloid and go down, down, down, down.

Speaker 4 (28:20):
But see this be completely constant here.

Speaker 10 (28:23):
It is among independents, it is not among Republics. Okay,
So how does this compare to past president's in a
second term? Yeah, okay, I think this gives the game away, right,
which is Donald Trump? If you look at twenty first
century president's own party approval at this point in term two, who.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Leads the pack? It's Donald John Trump.

Speaker 10 (28:38):
Eighty seven percent of Republicans approved Donald John Trump. You
go back to twenty thirteen, seventy eight percent of Democrats
supported Barack Obama, and it was seventy eight percent of
Republicans who supported George W. Bush back in two thousand
and five. At this point, so Donald Trump has the
biggest own party highest own party approval of any president
who served their entire second term in the twenty first cent.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
And then you factor in the way these polls provably
over the years have been manipulated against Trump, dishonestly manipulated
against Trump. So yeah, he's having a historically great second
term as well. And one interesting thing we won't have
time for today is why did the Democrats choose to
knock Epstein off the front page? Because all they wanted

(29:24):
to talk was Epstein, Epstein, Epstein, and then they go
with this sedition play, you know, to just knock Epstein
off the front page. Why do you think they did that.
They wanted to mention Alex Hunter. He was a Boulder
DA during Ramsey and the Boulder DA for many years.
And I don't expect the name to mean anything to
a lot of people who are new to Colorado, but.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
He was a big deal back in the day.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
And I started my law career in Boulder, and so
I had the chance to have a couple of contexts
more than a couple with Alex, and I just wanted
to tell a quick story that just points out there
was a lot of goodness there. Obviously, you made some
mistakes with with the Ramsey case. I remember being told
in confidence, I can reveal it now because it's was

(30:06):
reported twenty or thirty years later. Has it been that long?
It was revealed a long time later. But right after
the grand jury and Ramsey wrapped up, a source told
me in confidence Alex Hnder was not my source, that
the grand jury had voted to indict, but swore me
to secrecy. And I kept that promise of secrecy for

(30:27):
decades until somebody else eventually reported it. But my point
being that obviously Alex made some missteps during the Ramsey case,
but I think he had a really true sense of
justice because when I was a young, young lawyer and
I didn't do criminal law. But I'm sitting in my
law office, I've got my own soul lit LA office,

(30:48):
and this kid walks in, just walks right into my office.
And he happened to be Hispanic, and he was very young,
and he was the first member of his family to
ever go to collegege from a very rural part of Colorado,
and he had been arrested and charged with a very
very very serious sex offense, and it was in the

(31:10):
press and everything else. And he lived in the dorms.
It was a big, big deal and I don't know
why he ended up in my office. I didn't even
do criminal defense, but he pleaded with me to take
the case.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
I did.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
Long story short, he was innocent. He was just flat innocent,
wrongfully accused, and so I go to Alex Hunter. I
explained it to him, and Alex said, I got all
this evidence. On the other side, I've got the victim
claiming that he committed this horrible sex assault.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
And Alex didn't mention it.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
But the victim's father was a very, very prominent international figure,
and my kid was a Hispanic kid from rural Colorado,
southern Colorado. So, long story short, I made a big
mistake that turned out well. I was a very young lawyer,
didn't do criminal work, and I just had Alex the
kids innocent. I'll put him on a polygraph and Alex said,

(32:02):
you'll do what And I said, I'll put him on
a polygraph and the deal is if he passes, you
dismissed the charges and Alex Alex Hunter said yes. And again,
I don't recommend this approach. I was not a criminal
defense lawyer. I was trying to help this kid out.
I just knew he was innocent. I investigated it, I
brought investigators. I knew he was innocent, and so Alex

(32:24):
brought in his own polygraph or the kid passed, Alex
dismissed the charges. Took a ton of heat over that,
ton of heat over that, and you know, the young
lady's father flew in from another country, all sorts of
pressure on Alex Hunter, but he stayed true to his
word on that.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
And yeah, so yeah, my very limited foray into criminal defense.

Speaker 7 (32:48):
Yeah, that would not be recommended that you put your
client up for a polygraph as a pass failed.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
Great.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
No, No, I've been a catastrophic injury lawyer from the
very beginning. The kid just came in my office and
begged me to take the case. And I'd call that
a case of accidental brilliance, but he wanted to do
the poly and he passed. Wow, Hey, tomorrow's show, we're
gonna do a lot of serious stuff, but we're going
to lighten it up as well, Texter, and we're going

(33:17):
to take your surefire winner jokes for Thanksgiving text or Dan.
Based on your comments and beliefs, maybe Keller and Brockler
should run again. Frustration with Cairo accidents, etc. Need to
be amplified to remove corrupt politicians. Your law firm is
great leadership and platform. Thank you. No listen to John
Kellner George Brockler, two of the very best GOP candidates

(33:38):
we've had in my lifetime.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
And it just goes to show the fact.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
I mean, they were the leading vote getters in their
different races, but it just goes to show how far
left Colorado is right now. Selfishly, I sure hope John
does not run again. He's doing such a great job.
We've been to trial twice now since he's been in
the first year he's been managing partner. We've been to
trial twice together, three times together, and we're going again

(34:02):
next week. But the two one got mistried because too
many jurors got sick. But in the two that went
to verdict, one was a multimillion dollar win and the
other was a two hundred and five million dollar jury verdict.
That is definitely already making the world safer. So very
much enjoy going to trial with John, a true professional. Dan,

(34:24):
what do you think all these criminals are going to
do once our armed forces going to Venezuela. I don't
think our armed forces are going into Venezuela, but we
do need to talk about that issue. Dan Irish jokes
always appropriate for holidays. They are, and I'm proud of that. Ryan,
You're right, So yeah, one hundred percent, one hundred percent.
Both sets of grandparents right off the boat.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Amazing people. But tell me this, and I'm very proud
of it.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Why is it that no Irish person ever has been
offended by any Irish joke?

Speaker 2 (34:59):
Ever?

Speaker 6 (35:00):
Them?

Speaker 4 (35:00):
You do, we love them.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
They nobody's ever offended.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
Now listen, I understand any person of color being offended
by any joke about a person of color. That's a
whole different critter. I'm just telling you, no Irish person
has ever been offended by any Irish joke.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Why is that? I don't know.

Speaker 7 (35:16):
If they just embraced as part of their heritage, especially
like the Notre Dame fighting Irish, you would think that
there was a problem. Well, that's kind of stereotypes Irish
is drunkards and fighting.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
I love it. You know what I'm going to start
wearing is my south Side Irish jacket. Why haven't you
worn that?

Speaker 1 (35:32):
That's crazy, just got out of the habit of wearing it.
But I am going to wear it. My ninety three
year old uncle priest still goes and he's his greatest
honor every year is he's invited to say the South
Side Irish Mass on Saint Patrick's Day. So yeah, why
aren't Irish ever offended by Irish jokes? And we're not

(35:52):
going to start now. Yeah all right.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
So tomorrow we'll get your surefire an jokes for Thanksgiving.
It will do.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Much more as well. Hey, thanks for your time today.
Do be careful out there, and anything you can do
to get you and your family in the safest car
you can, please do it because the Democrats are letting
all these reckless drivers out there. Do what you can
to protect yourself. Catch you tomorrow,
