The Midwest has a reputation for beinga little more polite than the rest of
the country, But is it truesomebody pulled two thousand mid Westerners to find
out they didn't pull other people inother areas of the country, So there's

say they do it regularly. Wavethe people you don't know at sixty four
percent, hold doors for strangers fiftyfive percent, shared a dish at a
party seventy three percent. Smile tostrangers at eighty percent, tip well at
fifty nine percent, help the neighborout with chores at forty five percent,

give a stranger directions at eighty percent. Obey the speed limit only forty percent
said they usually do. In justthirty seven percent yield to other cars in
traffic, So Midwesterners aren't as politebehind the wheel. The team behind the
survey crunched all those numbers and afew more, and they scored how each
city is polite, and they decidedthe nicest state is Minnesota. Nicest city

is Saint Paul, Top five OverlandPark, Kansas, nighpor Illinois, Minneapolis,
Minnesota, Des Moines. Meanwhile,the rudest cities in the Midwest are
Evansville, Indiana, and Fort Wayne, Rockville, Illinois, Columbus, Ohio,
and Detroit, Michigan. I guessit didn't rate any of the cities
in North Dakota. There is aNorth Dakota and ice, and a Minnesota
and ice. And I know fromMinnesota, the further north you get,
