Speaker 1 (00:00):
Please, he's deeper in the den with Dangerous Day. You
know you've probably seen the TV show with Extreme Hoarders.
There's a new survey out there. A lot of Americans
dabble into hoarding to some degree. Half of us say
we have at least one room in our home that's
unsalvageable due to all the clutter. Unfortunately they didn't say
which room it was. Let's hope it wasn't the bathroom. Anyway,

(00:21):
Thirty four percent of people said their home fields cramped,
and fifty five percent of people wish they didn't have
to get rid of stuff to have enough space. The
average person wishes they had three more rooms to their home.
What things are hardest to purge? Top things include clothes
top the list, followed by kitchen equipment like appliances and dishwaar, gadgets,
hobby items, shoes, grocery or food items, furniture, seasonal decor, memorabilia,

(00:46):
random one off items so if you look around the
house you'll understand what that means. And books rounded out
the top ten. I'm really not a hoarder. Just don't
look in the closet, please deeper in the two. This
kind of got me wondering how common this is. Did
you ever tell a white lie when you were young
and it backfired? Or did your kid ever do it?
Somebody asked people on reddick some of the top answers

(01:08):
of white lies that people got busted on. A guy
told classmates he had a girlfriend in a different school.
One kid's mom was a teacher at the school and
confirmed that girl didn't exist. A kid wrote their sister's
name on the wall in crayon. Tried to frame her
for it, but she was too young and she didn't
even know how to write yet. A kid went to
their friend's house after school told their mom. Their parents

(01:28):
knew they were there, but they didn't, and they reported
the kid missing. Somebody pretended to be blind because they
thought glasses were cool, and their parents paid for three
different doctors before they realized the kid was just lying.
Somebody made a fake Valentine daycard for their stepdad from
a secret admirer put it next to his bed. Caused
major drama because it turned out the guy was already
an habitual cheater. A kid cracked their new phone and

(01:51):
claimed it happened when the teacher took it during a test.
Didn't expect their mom to call the school and complain.
Somebody failed a math test in fourth grade and their
parents had to sign up the test. They tried to
forge the signature in crayon. Not exactly a lie, but
this one gets the most. Like somebody had a test
in third grade. The teacher said, once you're finished, you
can have recess the rest of the day. So they

(02:12):
just filled out random answers as fast as possible, had
the best day ever, but ended up in special add
And while their parents were gone, somebody prank called nine
one one said there's an escaped murderer in my house.
Just as their parents got home, the cops arrived and
pulled a gun on their dad. Oops. I wasn't a kid,
but I was younger. Kind of told my wife now wife,

(02:33):
uh little white lie. While we're dating. She wanted me
to take her to a fancy restaurant because I told
her I was a millionaire. No, I said I had
a million hair to me again. For another episode of
