Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is deeper in the din with Dangerous Day well,
Happy World. Toilet Day in the United Nations made it
a holiday a decade ago to raise awareness about the
sanitation needs around the world. Their motto is this yere
toilet's a place for peace, and in a poll, it
really is a spot we go for piece and quiet.
Thirty eight percent said they use the bathroom when they're

(00:21):
in public just to get some time alone or take
a break. Top things we do when we go to
the bathroom when we don't really need to go wash
our hands top the list, followed by touching up makeup
or checking our appearance, getting away from an awkward or
uncomfortable situation, to get some alone time, or to chat
privately with friends. And by the way, women tend to
do that more often than men. Thirteen percent also said

(00:43):
they use the public to do drug sixteen percent if
even gotten busy in a public restroom, you have you
ever bought something at a store just so they'll let
you use the bathroom. Forty four percent of people have said, yes,
I've done that. It's not necessarily a place where you
have to buy something to use the bathroom, but you
go in, especially when you're traveling and you're leaving in
the clerk's looking at you, and you're thinking, yeah, okay,

(01:05):
I'll get a pack of gum or something deeper in
the two you put sugar in your coffee. A new
study in Canada found that you should be adding only
Canada's most famous exports instead. Researchers found them putting maple
syrup in your coffee comes with some major health benefits.
Unlike refined sugar, has got more than one hundred coundpounds
of antioxidants that can boost your immunity and help with inflammation.

(01:27):
They had a bunch of people use maple syrup instead
of sugar for several months for major health benefits. They saw,
first of all, better blood sugar levels. Blood sugar didn't
spike as much, so switching to maple syrup could help
avoid diabetes. Their blood sugar fell, the average person's systemic
blood pressure that's the top number, fell by three points. Also,
less belly fat fat around the abdomen slowly started to

(01:50):
melt away and improve gut health. They ended up with
a less harmful bacteria in their gut more good bacteria,
so their digestion was better. But to be clear this
is real maple syrup that they used in their coffee.
I'm guessing loading your coffee up with the little missus
Butterwurst probably not gonna help. Tuning again for another episode
of Deeper in the Den with Dangerous Dave right here.
