Speaker 1 (00:00):
This step in the den with dangerous day? Is this
going to be your years twenty twenty five, the year
you finally stick to that resolution and get in better shape. Well,
here's some useful info that could help you. A new
poll looked at four fitness trends to expect this year.
Team sports studio based workouts are trending. Nineteen percent of
people work out regularly participate in team sports this year.

(00:23):
That's up from eleven percent in twenty twenty. Studio based
workouts like yoga and spin class are up three points.
Personal trainers are still popular, but they are trending down.
Twenty one percent said they work with a help or
personal training coach. That's down from twenty five percent last year,
but still higher than the eighteen percent in twenty twenty three.
They're great, but they can be expensive. Most people at

(00:45):
your gym will be on Ozempic, the poll found. The
people on the weight loss drug like ozempic and Ygovi,
you tend to prefer a workout at a gym, less
likely to exercise at home or indoors, and turning your
workout into a game is becoming more popular. That means
things like using your Apple Watch. Or your fitpit badges.
Eight percent always gamify their workout up from six percent,

(01:06):
another sixteen percent, sometimes which is up four percent. There
you go. I hope you make your goal this year
and if not, well, there's always next year. Deeper in
the ta well, there's a video of a woman in
Indonesia trending right now. She managed to get her nose
ring caught in the back of an office chair. They
actually had to get the fire department to get her out.
So the timing of this list couldn't be better. So

(01:27):
what's the silliest way you ever injured yourself? See? BuzzFeed
recently asked people for stories. They just posted the highlights,
Like a woman who was singing part of Your World
from Little Mermaid at karaoke. She got way into it
and tore our acl Not sure how you do that,
but okay. A guy waxed as floor and tried to
do the Tom Cruise slide from Risky Business. He didn't stop,

(01:47):
ended up busting his lip on the doorframe. Somebody tried
to ice skate for the very first time and immediately
tried to jump and then broke their tailbone. Another woman
dislocated her knee trying to kick a balloon. A brother
tried to kick a sock ball and busted his ankle.
I stood on a beach ball, fell on a coffee table.
A woman said she was washing her face in the
shower and shoved her pinky up her nose and got

(02:09):
a horrible nose bleed and a lot some aggressive face
washing there. Somebody tried to walk down to set the
stairs on roller skates and needed ten stitches on their knee.
Somebody was riding a bike got distracted when they saw
a cute puppy. Crashed into a mailbox. Slice my finger
opening a disco ball, Well, I don't think they're supposed
to open, unless you were just opening the box for

(02:29):
the disco ball. And I injured my knee playing foods
ball will foosball? How do you injure your knee? That's
a table game. I've done some ridiculous things. When I
was a kid, I was hanging on a guy wire
that went into the ground. Let go try to brace
myself with my left arm and busted it. Stupid ways
to hurt yourself to me again for another episode of
