and hear birds chirping. Getting greeted by my dog when
I come home is happiness is so genuine. My heart

explodes every time. Greeting my cat when I wake up.
It's awesome. Cuddling with my dog. Other simple pleasures we
look forward to every day. Walking no matter if it's
a short walk or long walk with my dog, having
breakfast with my two little dudes. My sons are three
and one and they're the best. Taking your bra off
at the end of the day and putting on sweatpants.
Working out movement is one of the biggest, most underrated,

underutilized blessings. Listening to music is one of the simple pleasures.
You're welcome walking through the park on your way home
from work, eating dinner with the family, or lying in
bed next to your significant other, and just being deeper
in the if. Knowing that there's eight point two billion
people in the world makes you feel insignificant. This is
not going to help. A new study found out there

might be way more people on Earth than we thought.
According to the UN, we officially crossed the eight billion
mark in November of twenty twenty two. But researchers in
Finland think we have that estimate off the system used.
The track is flawed. They looked at data from thirty
five countries think the number of people living in rural
communities is under counted. They didn't give the number or
say that they think the global population really is, but

they think the populations in those areas might be undercounted
by fifty three to eighty four percent. Other population experts
so disagree. They think their study is flawed, But if
they're right, it could mean that there's billions more people
on Earth than we thought. You know, I don't know
about the rural areas because I know around here. When
I was a kid, my city was nine hundred and four. Now,

I remember them talking about how the fact that that
city would grow exponentially by time we hit the turn
of the century did not happen. Actually, that city's down
around six hundred and some so the rural area maybe
aren't growing at least up here as much as they
are maybe and elsewhere. So we don't know if Finland's
right or they're wrong. All we know is that there's

way too many people certainly don't hope I don't have

The Burden
The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm.
