Speaker 1 (00:00):
This, He's deeper in the den with dangerous day. Well,
it's almost Christmas. What are you looking forward to eating
the most? A lot of folks like a lot of
different foods, but they're looking forward to it and what
they get to eat. Ranker asks seventeen hundred people their
favorite holiday foods and drinks. Results include Christmas cookies top
the list, followed by hot chocolate, chocolate, chocolate chip cookies, cookies.

(00:24):
So I see a trend here, So Christmas cookies, chocolate
chip cookies and cookies all making the top five. Gingerbread
mashed potatoes. I guess a shout out to the spots.
It's the first non dessert on the list. Sentiment rolls, bread, rolls, fudge.
No wonder we gain weight during the season. It's from
all old damn cookies. Deeper in the well, since it's

(00:45):
ten days to Christmas. What are the worst gifts you've
been given? They ask people online, and some of the
best answers were for a secret sunda exchange. I once
got to use foot massage or complete with the dead
flaky skin all over it. Gross. My dad gave me
earrings for several years in a row, and I don't
even have pierced deeers. Some of the other worst gifts

(01:05):
people have received, according to online some people gave me
a pet turtle when I was fifteen. Don't do that
and do not, I repeat, do not give your wife
household applianes as her cleaning supplies as a gift unless
she specifically asked for it. Even if she specifically asked
for it, get her something nice too. My uncle gifted

(01:26):
my wife his wife toilet paper. Hey, to be fair,
it was during COVID, so probably a nice gift. My
aunt gave me a subscription to Children's Digest when I
was nine or ten and kept renewing it every year
till I was twenty. Other bad gifts. My husband once
gifted me a bicycle. I was eight months pregnant and

(01:46):
recently fallen and cracked my tailbone. My mom gave me
a rice cooker that she got at a free giveaway
at a grocery store, and then she gave my brother
a massive TV and a gaming consol she wanted at
the time, and then called me on grateful because I
wasn't over a statically over the moon for the rice cooker.

(02:06):
One person said I was six or seven aunt gave
me a stocking with coal in it. I sab my
little heart out. She thought it was funny. My mom
thought it was mean. Used underwear for a yard sale.
I was twelve. You know, I don't think he used
the underwear as a good gift anytime. Mother in law
filled a pill bottle full of laundry detergent and wrapped

(02:28):
it in a box, and my mom was a winner.
She once gave me the contents of her sock drawer.
Another time she gave a spouse corn cob holders that
didn't match and had been melted on the stove burner
in several places. Oh that's a nice gift. I remember
as a very young child, I went into a closet

(02:51):
and found an old cameo brooch that my mom had
for years but never wore. So I wrapped it up
and gave it to her for Christmas. He still never
wore a Tune in again for another episode of Deeper
