It's the Gala, the Gala, your big event that you
put on every year.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
We are recording early because I do have the Gala
this weekend will be out and about.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
And all you have been talking about to Jimmy and
I is about how you have to wear a suit.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
I do? I do in This shirt has a really
stiff collar and I don't like it.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
And Jimmy and I have been for the last two
months recommending healthy food options for you at all the
theme parks. Yes, yes, yes we have.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
I don't recall that I do. I do.
Speaker 4 (02:23):
I got a text message about a chicken tender sub
the other day. That's not when I have to fit
into make gala suit.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
That's you know why that's helpful. It is helpful. It's
on sale. I'm trying to save you money.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
You aren't trying to save me money, but you're not
saving my pants any any room.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
And I'd like to also remind the people of the
court that I did my part for the double decker
tacos to remain and the chili cheese burritos to remain,
and now one of them is completely gone.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Chili cheese burrito's gone again. Yep, they took it away.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Not on the not on the app anymore.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
I took it out of the app. Yep, just like
fruit to loom after your attempt. No, it was pretty good.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
Yeah, it wasn't as good as I remember from that
you'll trap not as good as I recall. All right,
so this is a show about theme parks, so maybe
we should just talk a little theme parks real quick.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Though.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
I will say that the McRib is back and it
is as exactly what I remember.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Are you doing your part to keep it?
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Okay, good, thank you.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
Well it's gonna go away, and actually it's probably this weekend,
and then that's it.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
So well, if m McDonalds as a couple they have
like that in the Shamrock Shake, right, is there anything
else they only released limited every single year.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Monopoly.
Speaker 5 (03:38):
They have Christmas pies right now, Okay, I didn't see
what was in it, but it had sprinkles all over,
and then like for Halloween they had pumpkin spice pies
or something.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
But the big thing is the McRib and the the
Shamrock Shake and Monopoly, which is of course infamous here
in Orlando because the people that ripped off the Monopoly
game were of horse from here.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Why not? Why wouldn't they be? Did you know them?
No comment? What you talk about? Man? He won?
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Why is he doing this show?
Speaker 3 (04:13):
I legit might have known somebody, But it's fine. It's fine.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
That's it for fast food talk.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
Let's get into the theme parks. Hey, Jimmy, you actually
went to a theme park twice? Twice? I know, in
a week.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
You took our mice and went to enjoy the nice
weather at the theme parks.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Well, I actually took Friday off, and I will tell
you taking a Friday off randomly that just recharges you.
It is so nice just having that forty a week.
But we went to the Parisian breakfast at Chef's de France,
and is that.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
The fancy one act is that the fancy restaurant.
Speaker 5 (04:46):
Yes, that's the restaurant that they sell the s cargo
and you probably will never eat in there.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
No, I actually yell when I walk by.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Do they still do? The guy that stands on the
chairs outside.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
I have not seen him in years, but I don't
but you know what I'm talking about. Oh yeah, ok yeah,
but that's like during the day during like peak.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Oh yeah, yeah, not a last second out of COVID.
I don't know, you know, that's what I mean. Yeah,
I actually lost, but just like one of the casualty
lost during COVID.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
I should say that clearly, so you know, I know.
Dickerman's like turning his nose up to all this. I'm
just wondering if there's anything on this menu that you
would eat? Okay, yeah, I want to hear what they have.
This is a buffet. Yes, it is a buffet, but
it's you know, all you can eat, and they're they're very,
very smart, and what they do is every you know,
(05:35):
there's only one seating. It's at nine am, it's from
nine to ten thirty, and it's all you can eat
and all you can you care to drink, and that
includes champagne.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Okay, you're most Hey nine thirty. Hey, that's when it's
okay to drink at nine thirty in the morning. Just
make an excuse for you. It's it's classy. It's classy
day drinking. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
One of the one of the gen zas that I
work with, she's like, oh, you're gonna get go get
turned at nine a m.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
And I was like, I think I know what that means, but.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
God, like, I really got to find like younger friends
you do.
Speaker 5 (06:15):
Anyways, So they start with assorted Frint's pastries you would,
buttery croissants.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
I like that.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
That's great, but they have like almonds in them. I
love almonds, salm and cheese.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
I like that. Yeah. Yeah, all right, so you're you're
you're good there. And then they yet, I mean, too
many carbs for my from my you know, upcoming outfit choice.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Gotta soak up you gotta soak up the mostes though,
Yes that's true.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
Key's key.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
Yeah, freshly baked baguettes of French dams, and they had
a raspberry jam.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Why are you saying I wouldn't like this stuff? I
love baguettes and jam.
Speaker 5 (06:56):
Yeah, but for this price point, I think you would
expect more and like, to me, I don't know that
this is worth it if you're not going to partake
in the alcohol part.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
Yeah, that's one hundred percent now worth it if you're
not doing the alcohol. I never go somewhere where like
alcohol is like a key, like, hey, this is a
great part of the deal.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Well not for me.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
Yeah, cheese is and CHICUTTERI okay, do you know what
meats and such meats and cheese occisional cured meats and
premium cheeses.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
Meats and cheese is always pleases.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
Yes, And then oh wait, smoked salmon. This is probably
where you get off the boat. I'm off. I'm off,
just like samon off the train.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Salmon is so good for you, though, it really is.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
I know it's good for you. I know it's good
for you. You got to try it on a bagel. Withers.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Yes, Oh god, that sounds so gross.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
It's so good, it's so good, and it's so good
for you. Go we're looking out again. We are recommending
healthy food options for you. Yeah, no, I don't want it,
and you are turning your nose up.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
But us, I absolutely am salmon on a bagel. And
Caper's the only thing that goes on a bagel is cream,
cheese and maybe some jelly. Or if you want to
make an egg sandwich on that thing with some bacon,
then it's okay.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Too, James, I know you left off a thing. I
just want to reinforce unlimited mimosas also on the menu.
Speaker 5 (08:18):
Yes, Marvine are he was our waiter and he had
just gotten here from France. He's at the college program
and he was fantastic and he always made sure our
mimosas were topped.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Off what they do. You also have an option with cranberry.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
I was going to ask what juice you did, because
I know sometimes at the Disney places you can get
like you can choose which one you want.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
Yes, and you could, and you know, we all started
with orange juice because that's you know, that's the standard.
And then I saw that they had like cranberry juice
ones on the counter at you know, at the bar,
and I was like, we're gonna get around to those.
It's really good. I never would have thought to put
cranberry juice with champagne, but it's fantastic.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
Yes, like that they have the people from the actual countries.
In the countries. I think that really adds something to it.
Like you get a legit Frenchman there as your waiter.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
It's an immers It kind of just immerses that little
bit more.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
M h yeah, it does, it does. Did you do
anything else while at the park? There at Epcot is
just eat and leave? You know. We we walked around
a little bit. Oh uh? Or were you blacked out because.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
We were there and I was home? No?
Speaker 5 (09:30):
No, we were walking around and then we were with
another couple, the other Harrises, you know, Mike Harris and
him and Lauren are like, let's go on test track,
and I'm like, no, because I was test track. Oh yes,
I was very full at this point and there is
no motion sickness going at you know, I can't suppress
(09:51):
motion sickness with a full stomach.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
You know what the perfect ride is in this situation?
Speaker 3 (09:58):
The land? Yes, living with the land.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Yes, you're gonna say the perfect opposite of good, which
is the space one or you're putting that little box
mission space Mission space is the worse.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Oh my god, no, no, no go.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Living with the land. It's peaceful, it's got the nice music.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
You learned about Lettuce yep, yep.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
You can see some salmon. Actually, don't know if there's
salmon on that ride. That's it.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 5 (10:28):
That shrimp, Yes, they always have shrimp in Tilapia, and
then there's always there was one other fish that they had.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
It's like a hybrid something.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Yes, there was a hybrid, like a bass. Was it
a bass? I don't know.
Speaker 5 (10:44):
It was half man half fish. Yeah, that's cool too, Aquaman.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
I like that.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
No, no, no, but it was the other way, like the
top half was the fishhead and the fire.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
That would be weird. Yes. So yeah, so that's your
trip out to Epcot. You also made a surprise trip
out to one of the resorts as well. Well.
Speaker 5 (11:04):
Breaking news, well it's not really breaking now, but at
the Polynesian at Traders Trader Sam's Grad Grotto, they released
the zombie Santa Claus mug and I'm holding it up
right now. If you're watching at.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Home things wild looking, man.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
It kind of looks it's very like I know, it's
a different part. It's grinch green, which I like it is.
Speaker 5 (11:27):
Well, it's you know, this is one of the best
mugs they've ever done. And I'm going to tell you
why it's because there's two real like camps you have.
You have like those high gloss tiki mugs from like
the sixties and what you know, traditionally you've seen at
Trader Sam's, and now they're gone towards more of like
a semi almost matt finish. This has both like anything
(11:51):
that's green on this mug, like his face, like all
the details of the head and then they whereas on
the other side the holly leaves, those are all Matt finished.
The rest of it is high gloss, and the blend
of the two is such a wonderful thing.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Do you use them? I don't remember if I've asked
you this, Like do you use your tekis.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
For any kind of tiki drinking event? Yeah? Okay, you
know it's just like for a bowl of cereal or
like coffee in the morning.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
Now it depends, like when I first get a mug,
I might use it like just to drink water out
of during workday. Yeah, for you know, the first week
or whatever, and then it goes up on the shelf.
But this is Christmas theme, so I'm thinking about like
once Christmas is over, the Christmas tikis, because I have
three of them, will get packed up and they'll go
up on a shelf or something and they won't come
(12:48):
out again until the you know, next Black Friday.
Speaker 3 (12:52):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
If you guys already decorated for Christmas. This is a
weird question, but so many people have done it early
this year. I'm going like everywhere I go, like, you
already decorated, you got your lights out, everything's done.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
I think people are just ready for it. Uh.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
I mean, I've got pumpkin I've got jack lanterns out,
I've got some black hat stuff up.
Speaker 5 (13:14):
I mean at this point, it's not that early because
Thanksgivings next week, isn't it.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
Yeah, yeah, I mean yeah, that's that's that's usually the time.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
My only Christmas decoration I'm looking at them right now
is four boxes of Little Debbie Christmas trees.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
Oh they sell I bought.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
I bought something for after our event, after afterwards, and
I'm like, I'm putting this away. But at Walmart they
sell the box with the big ones in it.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
Oh trees. Yeah. It's like it's like a big box
and the trees are bigger. They're like double the size.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Okay, all right, I gotta go find these. Yes, did
you buy the did you buy the shelf?
Speaker 3 (13:53):
I bought one and uh and I look forward to
eating it after Sunday. That's your That is your treat yourself.
That's very cool. Man. Should we dive into any theme
park news?
Speaker 2 (14:10):
Well, there's some Dickerman news.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
Okay, I like news. It involves me.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
Do you know what November is?
Speaker 3 (14:20):
It is the month of giving. It is a Thanksgiving month.
It is uh, I don't know what else. It is
a month.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
It is also Manatee Awareness month.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
Oh, be aware of the manatees when you're out there
in your boats, Get dumb, rich jerks.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
It's because they're coming up the rivers because it's cold.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
In ex I gotta a notice from SeaWorld that their
team recently returned. It's forty second rehabilitated manateee of the year.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Wow, those guys, they're moving through those manatees.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Over at SeaWorld, a six and seventy five pound male
named Barber who made a full recovery after a serious
boat st an injury.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Yeah, you guys sloped down all right? Wake zones, manatees
chill out.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Also SeaWorld at the Ayappa Expo, Like the theme park
ride expo.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
Is here in town? Is that here in town? Yes,
we can go to that. How we should have gone.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
Because we well, mainly because we're not theme parks.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
We don't. We are no no, no, no, no, no, no, no no.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
We don't work at a theme park.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
But we're members of the media.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
We don't. This is a trade show for theme parks.
It's not really our kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
I got a coupon for a free past if you
want to go.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
But they unveiled because in twenty twenty six there's gonna
be Sea Quest Legends of the Deep.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
Dark Rider at SeaWorld, right, which they they definitely need
that there.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
It's a suspended indoor dark ride.
Speaker 3 (15:59):
What does that mean? What is suspended indoor?
Speaker 2 (16:01):
The riot? It's okay, like a suspended ride is like
Peter Pan is a suspended ride? Okay, okay, where the
ride vehicle the track is above you?
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Yes, okay, gotcha.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
But they unveiled the ride vehicle there.
Speaker 4 (16:15):
I did see the pictures of that. I mean, Sea
World just they just keep putting rides in like they're like,
let's do some more.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Rides every year, hey, every other one of.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
It's true, they probably have put in more New rides,
uh than any other park in town other than you know,
at brand new park like Epic Universe.
Speaker 3 (16:32):
But oh yeah, Dalling rides. They're just they go crazy
over there. They really do.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Credit absolutely credit to them elsewhere.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
In the news.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
If you wanted to go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas
Party in twenty twenty.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
Five, sold out, try again next year.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
The whole thing, whole thing before Thanksgiving it is is
sold out.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
Wow, that's wild. I mean, that's just tickets ever end
up on stub Hub.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
I don't think it's possible because if they're like linked
to your profile, they're linked to your name. Yeah yeah, yeah,
and stub Up charges like an outrageous f on top
of whatever you're buying the ticket for.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
Yeah, it would be a terrible, terrible deal. Yeah, I think.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
I do think it is literally impossible to resell. And
I think if you get caught doing that, you like
there's probably serious ramifications.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
M hm, maybe not a ban, but something.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
You're not gonna be able to go for a while,
I would guess.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Yeah, So don't do it. Probably a suspension from the parks. Yeah.
The only Mickey Mouse I'm saying is like on ice.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
Elsewhere, there's been a candlelight processional change.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Uh oh, Jimmy, is this yours? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (17:49):
When are you going?
Speaker 3 (17:51):
I don't know that we're going to go this year.
Oh oh you don't have tickets yet?
Speaker 5 (17:54):
Yeah, well right now we are. Technically our pass is
expired on Friday, so we're debating when to renew.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
Well, if you were going to go see Jennifer Gardner
Electra herself, you will be unable to.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
Ah. She's got a great voice too. She really has
a great speaking voice. What's in your wallet?
Speaker 2 (18:15):
She's out. Susan Egan the voice of Bell in Beauty
and the Beast taking over.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Like the old Beauty and the Beast, like the cartoon.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Yes, yes, yes, yes, Susan Egan, not Emma Watson.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
Okay, I don't know how many. Look, I'm gonna be honest,
I don't know how many Beauty and the Beasts there
have been. But I know there was a cartoon. I
know there's an Emma watsone where they made the really
ugly doll. You guys remember that?
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Oh sorry, sorry, sorry, she was sorry, I had this wrong.
She was the Bell from the Broadway Disney's Beauty and
the Beast. She's the voice of Meg from Hercules.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
Family Guy from what Hercules?
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Hercule? Okay?
Speaker 5 (18:56):
And the voice of Meg from a Family Guy is
Lasi Shabert.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
What's her name?
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Ya, it's yes, it is yes, Yes, Get your facts right, buddy.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
When did me Lacunas leave?
Speaker 2 (19:10):
No, there have been two voices of Meg Griffin miilacuna
is in Lasia Sabar Lasia Shabert did like six episodes.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Oh in the very beginning, yes, yes, okay. I didn't
even know that was her doing.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
I remember there was a girl that played her at first,
and they're like, ah, she didn't want to do it anymore.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
They're like, oh, that's your loss, because it ended up
working out really well for me. Laicunis.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
In the last little bit of news, Uh, this will
affect a lot of die hard people at Universal Orlando.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Finnegan's Bar in Grill closed temporarily closing for a nearly
year long renovation.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
Somebody check on the news junkie crew, see how they're
doing today.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
That's the thing. I know a lot of people, you know,
I know I have I have several friends that are
die hard to this place, and it very much is
a Diehard bar for horror nights, and it does not
seem like it will be reopened for horror nights next year.
Speaker 3 (20:08):
Oh that is unfortunate. Ye find another bar?
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (20:12):
What o their bars do they have?
Speaker 4 (20:13):
Like Finnigan's is the only one I really know, a
universal kind of the pharmacy for ice cream. Finnigan's for
a bar, I don't know. I don't know where else
you might like go and like city Walk.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
I know, but I'm thinking in the park itself.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
I mean, yeah, you don't want to be out with
the cometers in city Walk.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Well, no, the thing is, if you're going to horror nights,
like you'll have to go to just one of the
bars that they pop up.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
Okay, yeah, they still sell the blood bags.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
No, I did not see them. I did not see them.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
I haven't seen them in the last two years. Yeah, whoa, Okay.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Yeah, now I didn't see them, and I didn't see
like people walking around doing like selling shots as well shots.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
Yeah, they used to do the shots all the time too.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
Yeah, didn't didn't see either of those. So, yeah, Finnigans,
if you want to go, go over the next few weeks.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
Because it's yeah, over a year. It will reopen eventually.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
It will.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yes, January twelfth is when it will be uh closing.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Okay, so you've got a few weeks beginning of the year,
gett you're in luck after that.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
And should say, speaking of the holidays, if you go
to Island's Adventure and you see that the Grinch is there,
and you see that the wait time is under four
hours getting the line?
Speaker 3 (21:29):
What oh yeah, by what's going on with the Grinch?
Everybody wants to meet him? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Literally, it's it's literally not just he always has a
very long line.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
Huh. I remember just being able to catch the guy
every once in a while, just like walking through the
park back in the day.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Well, things have changed, not so much anymore, not so
much anymore.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
Did you see that Jim Carrey and Taylor Momson reunited
from the from the original Grinch? Yes, not the original,
but you know that, you know their version of the Grinch?
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (21:58):
She re recorded this Cindy lou whose songs too oh weird.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
I kind of want to go find that now.
Speaker 3 (22:03):
Yeah, yeah, I think she did, like a whole record,
the whole Christmas record.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
And we didn't mention this last week, but Dagwood's the
Blondies restaurant in Tune Lagoon reopened.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
Okay, good. I hope they have a true dagwood there,
because I felt like the sandwich they offered to should
have been bigger. Like if you've seen the Blondie cartoon
that things.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
If you see the thing on the outside of the building.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Yeah, I mean there's a fish in the middle of it,
an entire fish.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Do you want some of the new items that they have, Yes?
Speaker 3 (22:32):
I do.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
Mac and cheese bowls okay, all right, with pulled pork
inside of it.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
Delicious.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
Umm, that's that dagwood sandwich, a chopped Italian sandwich.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
Okay, it's good.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
And a ruben barbecue pork slider. So go check that out.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Yeah, I mean it's good. Quick serve over in that
area of the park when you're over there, in that
watery zone where everything gets you wet, Yes, that that
hole that hols. You can't walk through there and not
get wet. It's just it's just how it is.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
Do you ever jump up and stick your head in
this thing that's're shooting water out like a geyser?
Speaker 3 (23:12):
No, I have not.
Speaker 4 (23:15):

go through that area though act.
