Speaker 1 (00:00):
Daddy and Jamie Morning Show with DJ four and It's
Sad Morning.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Bustin's number one for hip hop jam in ninety four
or five. Hi, everybody, good morning. It was it was
such a crazy day yesterday. I don't know what was
in the air, like on my end, was it a
crazy day for you or.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Was it genuinely just me? I think it was just you.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Okay, two separate stories to tell, but they both happened yesterday.
And I'm telling my husband, I'm like, I need, I
just need to go to sleep because this is just crazy.
I got a message yesterday from a guy who we've
hung out with, actually, a guy who has been a
listener of this show for a very long time, a

(00:47):
guy who was behind the wall at one point. Has
come to events. That's where we that's where we first
met him at an event. We've met his wife, very
nice woman. He calls the show often, so I won't
say the name.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
But when I say he.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Calls the show often, I'd say, I mean he's probably
on this show at least once a month, Yeah, at minimum,
which is a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
That's ton.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
There are some people who will literally call and be
like I've been trying to get in on the show
for months and it's just never worked out, like my
call never got picked up, or whatever the case may be.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
My goal is to put everybody on the show.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
I like, even if you're calling to say you hate
me and you want me to die, like, I'll put
you on.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
We know that about me. I'll dance.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
I don't care. I just want everybody to have a voice.
Hence why we do the check in, because I always
say there's an extra mic on this show, and it's
for you. So I try to spread the love out
and give everybody a chance to talk this. This particular
listener had called us the other day. We ran out
of time because we were taking calls from people who

(01:54):
don't usually get on the show, new people, and I
got this message from him yesterday. I'm good with ninety
four point five. I took it out of all of
my programmed vehicles. Maybe you should show the same loyalty
that your own listeners do. But ninety four or five
just wants new people take care. So I write back,

(02:15):
sorry to hear that. Not sure if it's going to
make you feel any better, and no problem if it doesn't,
and if it doesn't change your mind, because you're a
free man and you can listen to whoever you want.
But yes, I am put trying to put new people
on the show and give other people a chance, just
like we gave you a chance some time ago, and
continue to at least once a month.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
I mean, we just had this guy on.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
We just had this guy on on Halloween specifically, I remember,
and I mean that's.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
The disappointing thing is is that perspective that he's writing
to you as is so selfish and it's so self serving.
Where yes, we like a variety of people. We try
to connect with everybody, but we're also not saying don't
ever call back. Just because you don't get in that
one time doesn't mean you won't get in today or tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Fun fact for you, DJ Tron calls at probably three
times a week at minimum. That man will sit on
hold for forty five minutes sometimes and not get on
and still call the next day. He knows the way
we roll, like we're trying to give everybody a chance.
Once you hit back in the rotation, cool, we're gonna
take your call. But that day that this particular person

(03:19):
is referencing, I believe it was just because there were
other people on the line that I had never heard from,
a name I had never recognized.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Somebody knew that I was going to talk to.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
The other thing is behind the scenes. We have to
play a certain amount of songs each hour, and on
top of it, we have to hit commercials at a
specific time, so we run out of time.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I just couldn't believe that message because it was like threatening,
like I'm not listening to anymore. I took you out
of all my vehicles, Like, okay, if that made you
feel better to send me that message to tell me
that you're not listening anymore, Okay, I hope it did
what you wanted it to do.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
The listeners are so important to us. We live and
die for them. But if you have that perspective, in
that attitude, fine, then good luck with your life.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
And you know what, I'll use that as a good
segue to the next story. So that that's the first
thing that happened. So I call son and I'm like, dude,
like this is just aggressive for no reason, Like it's
a holiday week.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
I just try to half my turkey. I don't. So
that happens.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Last week, I get a call from agent and she's like, ash,
this huge delivery just came for you. It's flowers, it's
edible arrangements, it's the candy. I'm sorry, it's the strawberries
dipped in chocolates.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Like sweet.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
So she reads me the card, A beautiful card, such
a nice card, like I love listening to the show.
I've followed your journey, like I'm so happy that you
got your second baby. Just a very nice card. It's
the woman's name and it's her phone number. So I
didn't think anything of it. I thought to myself, I
need to say thank you to somebody who spent money

(04:47):
on me for no reason, Like it was the most
it was just out of the blue. It was just
a nice thing that she did. And I said to myself, like,
I have to say thank you. That's the way I
was raised. So I sent her a text message from
my personal cell phone. Her Instagram handle of social media
wasn't on their email or else I would have reached
out that way. So Jules is already shaking his head.

(05:09):
So I sent her the text message. She immediately calls.
She doesn't write me back on text, she just immediately calls.
So I answer and we have it back and forth exchange.
I tell her thank you so much, and it means
the world to me that she listens to the show
and she did this and and I'm not that. I
mean that sincerely, like that's crazy. She did not have
to do that. That's the nicest thing. She won't stop calling.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Did you say it at the end of the conversation,
call me back at She won't stop calling.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
And she texts me like two nights ago, like mad late,
talking about like I have a question for you, with
a bunch of emojis. So I didn't respond because it
was late, and also I'm like dialed into this show
the time that I am here. But once I get
home and I'm in Marshield and I'm in babyland. I'm
in baby like, I'm I'm wiping butts and I'm pretending.

(06:03):
Yesterday I had to be a snake for an hour,
like I'm doing things, you know, family time. She had
a question and I didn't have time to answer it
because I was, you know, knee deep. So she calls
me not once, not twice, not like three too, like
four times yesterday, and I finally shoot her a text
message back and I'm just like listen, like I just

(06:24):
what I just explained to you, guys.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
This is my own time. I'm at home now.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
If I don't answer, I'm not answering because I'm busy
with my kids. She goes, ha ha, totally understand, but
like I really have to ask you that question.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
This must be like.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
You guys ready, like are you as everyone ready for
the question?

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Now?

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Before you told me this, I thought the question was
going to be like, listen, I need some life advice
that that I'm dying or something like that.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Can I get post Malone tickets? Oh?

Speaker 2 (06:53):
That?

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Can I get post Malone tickets?

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (06:59):
Or I'll take Shakira if you can't get post Malone
that for days, guys.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
As much as I love the chocolate covered strawberries and
the flowers, like, no, I don't have By the way,
I want to go to Posty. The only tickets we
have are the ones that we're giving out at seven
twenty so she can try to win. Then, so I
just wrote back the truth, which is I don't have
access to tickets like that. I can't just give people
tickets doesn't work like that. That the tickets that I
do have access to I put into the show. We

(07:27):
like we give them away to you guys. But I'm
just like, I don't know what to do now, because
I feel as if I was trying to do the
right thing by saying thank you, it would have kept
me up at night had I not. Somehow someway got
a hold of this woman to say thank you, like
I'm not kidding, which is why I the only way
to contact her was the cell phone number that she

(07:47):
put on the moving Forward.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
I'll make Santi send the text message yeah, because its
call from the radio station. Good call. Damn okay, see
that's what I Listen, you're right, You're right.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
I could have called from like the request slide, but
my body was like, wow, she went out of her.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Way to have this delivered. Listen.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Mistakes were made, but I'm not I don't want to
block her or anything, but I just.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
I thought I was doing the right thing. I've given
block an energy. Yeah, I agree, I'll settle for Shakira.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
What I'm not saying she should have never asked that question. Eventually,
if you guys become friends down the road, because the
minute you gave out your phone number, turn you texted her.
She should have kind of taken that as like all right, well,
I don't want to start act asking for tickets and
a lot of off. She took the time out to
text me personally, so that was another thing. And then
also to beat to call you that often. That's like

(08:37):
across the board, not normal for anybody, like call one time,
leave a voicemail, followed up with the text hey, I've
questioned it, Oh it's yeah, or hey, I know we
just met. You just called me. I don't really want
to come off some like a I know each other,
but I'm gonna shoot my you know what I mean.
I got you those said that stuff, but hey, is

(08:58):
there any chance if you come across an extra pair
of tickets the posty just think of me? That's all
I'm asking.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Great, Hey, shok care at the end you right, you
says I'm serious and you're throwing llo. Well it softens it,
ease out, and then then that's that.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
You call you today, tickets the amount of edible arrangements
you can receive tomorrow, like, hey, if you received any
extra tickets.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
I just wanted to tell you guys that are so
bad like I it just because again I this is
this is the way my brain works, though, like I
got invited to two of my neighbors for Thanksgiving, and
I'm already like, what am I going to bring? I
have to bring something to their house. I want to
say thank you for having I wouldn't have. I was
restless thinking about how to reach out to her, and
the only availability was the cellphone at she left.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
So I did that, and now I just and now
something else just happened. So download Google Voice first. Right now.
This is happening right now.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
The first story that I just told about, the the
listener that was mad that we didn't take his call
to sent me another message.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
And I ask, is is it threatening?

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Everything was okay, but Ashley, you took my message completely wrong.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
I could accept this from Santi. There's two sides, but
it's okay. Now.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
If I'm the bad guy, I'm used to taking the blame.
What part of this did I read? Did I take wrong?
I'm good with ninety four to five. I took it
out of my programmed vehicles. Maybe you guys should show
the same liliency that your listeners do. But ninety four
five just wants to take new people take care. How
did I read that wrong? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (10:35):
No, that's that's pretty clear and direct. I don't think
you read it wrong. I don't why do not you?

Speaker 3 (10:39):
Hey, how about you take a little accountability. You hurt
my feelings.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Yeah that you came off a little aggressively.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
Yeah, I'm not guys, I am.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
Back next year to this job. Are you done? Like?

Speaker 3 (10:52):
What are you thinking?

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Just now?

Speaker 3 (10:54):
I know what I'm year knew me.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
I don't know, but I needed to tell you, like
I just yesterday was so crazy and it's it's it's
even crazier because I really am trying to do like
the right thing, Like I'm trying to get everybody on yes,
and then I got in trouble for that. I am
trying to say thank you, and then then that I
got taken advantagel for that I don't have both Malone tickets.

(11:16):
And when in the actual hell, when in the actual
hell are we playing Shakira?

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Now am I getting Shakira tickets?

Speaker 2 (11:24):
But what is that? Help?

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Please, for the love of God, thy
