anything you want. Darius is in Dorchester. Darius wants to
talk about the Spotify rap still. I mean I thought

(01:11):
we were I thought we had our day with that and.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
We moved on.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
But Darius really wants to tell us, tell us about
your Spotify rap.

Speaker 6 (01:18):
All right, So hey, Askley, how's it going? Birthday? First?
I just want to say hello to you birthy.

Speaker 3 (01:24):

I'm good?

Speaker 6 (01:28):
So I want to ask you something about Spotify rapps.
How have you been listening to Spotify all year long?

Speaker 3 (01:35):
I do not have Spotify, believe it or not.

Speaker 6 (01:39):
Oh well, what about d D boy you're talking Did
you guys listen to Spotify rap as well?

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Of course?

Speaker 5 (01:45):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (01:48):
All right, so what did you get for your Spotify app?
If you're a memory, my number.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
One was Ambrosia. I love the yacht rock so that
was bumping all year long.

Speaker 6 (01:59):
I found what about are and you were.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Going to look it up and then we we kind
of got away from us and he couldn't find.

Speaker 7 (02:05):
It and figure it out. But one of the artists
that was my top listen to you ready for this?
Morgan have some hell really like.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Hell, I'm drinking everyally again.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
If you couldn't they say something makes the dream hell,
I had some pens. Anyways, Okay, well, Darius, do you
want to tell us who you're number one artist?

Speaker 8 (02:35):
Is?

Speaker 6 (02:37):
All right, let me give you a hint. I got it.
I've got it.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
There, Yo, I love it. Congrats on that, Darius, and
thank you so much for the call. Baby, Merry Christmas.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
I'm working Wallen.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
I did not see that.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
I was gonna guess like Thames, I don't know.

Speaker 7 (03:03):
Berna boy, and that I had the video and there
was my top whiskey. But yeah, I saw it, and
I was like, wait a minute, what I guess I
was listening to country.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
He's a big country guy.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Now they go.

Speaker 7 (03:10):
You know what I was thinking about as you're saying
the artist that they were listening to. Whatever happened to
Christina Gallera just the way she looks now number one
and number two, just her as a person, like I
felt like she was on top of the game at
one point and then she just discipplined, well.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Right now she's kind of having a resurgence.

Speaker 7 (03:28):
And I went down the rabbit hole and I started
google the other day. I just had this thought and
then it's like, oh, she's taking a zen pic or
whatever it is because she lost.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
Mad We No, she's aging like backwards. She's like Benjamin Buttoning.
She looks better now than she did in like her
she need a Bottle video.

Speaker 7 (03:44):
And then I started listening to some of the music again,
I'm like, damn, she had a voice on her an amazing.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
She still does. She just was kind of in the
cut there for a while.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
She was on the voice for a while too.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
I think she Yeah, she did a video on her
Instagram the other day and she was wearing her old
outfits from all of her music videos. Bro, I'm telling you,
she's Benjamin Buttoning. She's aging backwards. It's crazy.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
I think the video for Dirty that she did came
out in like two thousand and two, but I'll fit
she had on there.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
That's what.

Speaker 7 (04:14):
We're putting her and Brittany against each other, right, wasn't
that a tome yes?

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Because remember the infamous kiss so Madonna wars and Madonna
kissed britt a little bit of tongue and wouldn't kiss Christina,
and then it was just downhill from there.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
Really, now it is crazy.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
She moved Mexico, Mexico.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Yeah, she moved to Mexico. She celebrated her sixth birthday.
All right, what's up? How are we? Six? One seven, nine, three,
one four five.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
You can obviously call right now to check in, but
we also got a couple of talkbacks.

Speaker 8 (04:47):
Well, I was honestly thinking about doing Christmas cards for
the first time ever in my entire life, now that
I have two young daughters, and you guys just talk
to me out of it.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
So thanks a lot. Just out here trying to save
people money.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
One day to time, somebody hit me up and said
it costs over one hundred dollars for them to send
out all their Christmas cards every year, and they still
do it because they like to do it.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
But they totally understand.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
And she even said she she she knows that ninety
percent of them are going right in the trash cans.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Like as long as you know.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Sounds about right. That does sound expensive, but I'm sure
that's because you have.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
To do stamps and they get them printed.

Speaker 7 (05:26):
Back in the day, I used to work for Kodak
inside the target and they used to cut people used
to come bring their film and we had to develop
it and print out all the and they used to
go nuts. And the amount of money, it's like it's
like telling somebody you wanted them for a wedding. Well,
as soon as you hit Christmas cards, the prices will
skyrocket in and anything like, Yeah, it was crazy and
people are spending bookoo some money.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
I'm like, why y'all doing this?

Speaker 4 (05:47):
Yeah, And it's like, who wants to be at the
bottom of someone's trash?

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Sorry?

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Recycled all right six one seven, nine three one four
five six one seven nine three one one nine for
five calls right now. We're talking to about you, your life,
your world, anything you wants to check in.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Good morning, Hi everybody, Good morning.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
It's Ashley in the jam of Morning Show before we
finish the second half of the check and I want
to show some love to our girl, mar Leoney.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Marleney works here in the building.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
She was up the other morning getting ready to come in,
started feeling sick, was rushed in an ambulance to the hospital.
She's been there since. That was early this week. Yeah,
and so she's listening right now to the show live.
She's going through it right now. And that's our girl.
We love us some mar Leney and you know, I
know she's struggling right now, especially she's an amazing cook

(06:37):
and she's stuck in the hospital and she's pretty much
allowed to have broth and water and ice chips, so
she's hurting.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
Yeah, So if you need anything a Moss, please reach
reach out because we love you.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Go ahead and say the truth now, But.

Speaker 5 (06:49):
Like I need my breakfast.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
He's heart and with our hearting, we miss you.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
Mar Lenny.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
All right, let's go to anonymous. I am not a mesk.

Speaker 9 (07:00):
Good morning, how you doing?

Speaker 3 (07:04):
So you just got a text?

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (07:08):
So basically I got a text because I blocked someone
a little while ago, like two months ago, and they
just texted me like why did you block me? I
want to know the reason, and I just think it's
kind of weird after two months to text somebody that
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
Wait, so do we think that the text message could
have been sent during the blocking or it was like
as soon as you unblocked her?

Speaker 9 (07:26):
She said, I recently, I don't know why, but I
recently like unblocked the person on Instagram and they they
I just got a message on Instagram basically for the
timing was like weird. And they just wanted a reason,
so I gave them the reason pretty much, I'll go
back and so. But I first started talking with this person,
they were living with their their ex and they didn't

(07:46):
tell me, so like trust from the beginning was kind
of yea. And then I work nights and they work days,
so we get into a rhythm of when we can
and can't talk to each other, and when that rhythm
is kind of broken, I feel weird. So like we
were not talking as much. In one day, we just
pretty much didn't talk at all, and that was like
the last straws. All Right, I'm gonna, like I told you,
I'm not feeling this anymore. I'm going to block you.

(08:07):
And that's what I did. And I guess now she
wants more in depth reason doesn't believe that's the reason.
Like it's so crazy to like block some money for
not talking to them. I don't know, Like, what do
you guys think?

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Well, I think the blocking seems a little like harsh.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
I think all of your reasonings are on point. There's
nothing you said there that I'm like, well maybe you
could have. I mean, there's scheduling conflicts, there's there's a
bunch of things like yeah.

Speaker 9 (08:35):
Like I knew kind of like where they just finished
their X, like I could be a rebound. But I
wasn't looking for anything. I was looking for a good time.
But I was like, all right, whatever she's doun with me,
went back to her ex, that's fine, But I'm not
going to be a part of that. I'm not going
to be a part of the triangle. So I just
packed myself out and said, I'll block you if I
think that's what's happening anonymous.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Blocking made it seem like you've got a little hurt
over there.

Speaker 7 (08:54):
Yeah, I'm honest, that's what I'm feeling to think.

Speaker 9 (08:58):
I'm like, blocking isn't personal to me. It's just like
I don't want to see what you post. I don't
want you reaching out to me. I'm gonna want to
reach out to you. That's more of what blocking is
to me.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Okay, So here's what you do instead of block, use
the access the mute button.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
The mute button.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
You're not going to see their posts, you're not going
to see their stories. But blocking, you know, we always
say there's a fine love line between the words hate
and love. When I feel like the block is you
hate you hate and it's giving like sessus.

Speaker 9 (09:26):
And Okay, I've never really looked at it like that,
but now when you say it like that, I guess it.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
Yeah, because she's over there like damn, like he was
so messed up over this that he had to block me. Meanwhile,
you're like, no, I just don't want to deal with
the situation. Use the old mute, unfollow whatever. But blocking
does give some sort of it feels different.

Speaker 7 (09:45):
And on the other side of that, Instagram doesn't tell
you when you get unblocked. Right with me, she was checking.
She was checking your Instagram a lot, and she saw access.
She was like, oh, okay, we could be back together.
She's trying to reel you in, bro. Don't give no
answers to keep it, keep that same energy.

Speaker 9 (09:59):
Yes, Do you think I just like Stace wrong kind
of just like this is why I blocked you leave
me alone now or like emotional?

Speaker 4 (10:05):
I'm yeah, I don't even know you have leave me alone,
But I think you just be like hey in certain name.
You know, we talked about this a couple of months ago.
It's just it was never gonna work. You at the
time were living with your ex. You kind of weren't
upfront about that, but also the scheduling conflicts, like we
work different times.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
I just I don't see a future have a good crusts.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
By the way, if you feel like you have to
say anything at all, if you don't, then don't respond.
You can do that too.

Speaker 9 (10:33):
Yeah it's reasonable.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Yeah, but the blocking is aggressive.

Speaker 9 (10:38):
So you don't you don't block people like that's not
a thing you do typically.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
I'm not a big blocker. I'm not a big blocker.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
I mute people a lot because then their stuff isn't
showing up to me, or if they have unfollowed me,
I might unfollow back. But now I'm not a big
block Now listen, I'm blocked. I feel like every ex
boyfriend of mine has blocked me.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
But I'm not. I'm not out here blocking people.

Speaker 9 (11:01):
Do you think you deserve the block or it's come
from left left field?

Speaker 5 (11:06):
I don't think you deserve that.

Speaker 3 (11:07):
I don't know, I definitely don't. I mean, I have
no ill will against anybody that I've dated.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
In your situation, the blocking is coming from the new partners.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
I will agree with that.

Speaker 9 (11:17):
Anonymous, What was that I missed that one that.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
The people that they're dating. Have kind of pushed for that.

Speaker 9 (11:25):
Oh okay, well thank you. Yeah, I just wanted to
get that off. I just got off work and I
thought that was interesting.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
I wanted to share that is interesting. So what are
you gonna do? What have you decided? You're going to
write her back? Or just let it sit there?

Speaker 8 (11:37):
For me?

Speaker 9 (11:38):
Yeah, because I mean, I don't like having people think
I feel ill towards them. So I don't like that
I gave off that impression or that I like have
hatred towards them. So I think, yeah, I'll explain a
little bit more.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
Yeah, I don't. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Okay, Well, good.

Speaker 9 (11:53):
Luck, thank you, hope you guys look the good rest
of your morning.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
All right, you as well. Bye bye. That's stressed me, Max.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
By the way, block, I mean there are some people
that one hundred percent deserve the block.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
I don't want to say, don't.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
You utilize the feature if somebody is like I have
blocked someone that listens to this show because I was
getting seventy messages before the show was starting, so I
had to block them.

Speaker 5 (12:16):
It takes a lot for me to block somebody, but
when I want to block, I did block somebody. I'm
giving somebody the finger.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
And I stand by your blocks because she was just
it was way too much.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
I don't mind the comments, but when they start hating
in like that negative.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
I stood by you with for that. Tricia is in Lynn, Hi, Tricia.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Good morning, Dies, Holiday.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Christmas to you, all of the things.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
It's funny when you say this because foreign is the
only one on the show that's been able to watch
the Jamie Fox doc in its entirety.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
He said that it was a tear jerker.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
You agree, Yeah, I do.

Speaker 6 (12:59):
I agree. It was definitely a tear jerker.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
He did make you laugh as well, because you know Jamie,
he makes in fun of himself all the time. And
he kept saying, if I can, if I can make
them laugh, I can stay alive if I can make
them So he kept doing these things where and he
kept repeating that to the audience because that was his
model during his recovery, you know. And if I can

(13:22):
stay funny, I can stay alive.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
Which part in the dogs stood out the most to you,
like when you tell people that you saw it, which.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
My gosh, when his daughter came.

Speaker 6 (13:31):
I have goosebumps.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
When his daughter came out and played the guitar because
because he wasn't he his vidals kept going down. He
said that, and I don't know if you guys know
what happened to him. He had a brain bleed and
he had a stroke and his vitals kept going down.
And then his daughter came in. He said, she carried
this guitar around since she was like nine years old

(13:54):
or something, and so she's been playing, you know, for
you know, all her life. And then she came in
and she said.

Speaker 6 (14:01):
I got my dad.

Speaker 9 (14:02):
I got my dad.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
And the minute she started playing, he responded, Wow, it's
just so it was so touching. And then and then
she played, and then he was crying on I mean,
it was I I didn't know what to expect and
I was literally sharing at home, clapping my hands standing

(14:25):
upright like.

Speaker 6 (14:28):
With me.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
I'm sold, I am sold.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
We will check it out, all right, all right, thank
you guys, have a great thing, and enjoy the rest
of your day.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
You as well. Thanks for that.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Forred pretty much said the same exact thing during that
one specific part.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
I want to watch it.

Speaker 7 (14:43):
I just it's good. It's good when you have time
watch it. I will say this though I don't mean
to be this guy.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Here we go, Here we go, set it up.

Speaker 7 (14:52):
Some of the crime was real, some of it I
felt was acting well. Oscar Hell, he got it, He
got it. The The Thing is a very ill, nice, emotional,
funny special.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Go check it out.
