Speaker 1 (00:00):
Especially in the Jamie Morning Show with DJ Foreign and Saunty.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
When you need to know, we got you three things
you need to Know on Boston's number one for hip
hop and the best throwbacks you haven't any more five Friday,
December thirteenth, Spooky, be honest, did you know that the Billboard
Music Awards were on last night? Because I sure did not.

(00:26):
I had no idea back in the day seeing anything
on social about them.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
The Billboards were one of the biggest ones. They used
to fly us out like every year. We would broadcast
live from there and do interviews like all day long.
It was an event.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
They might want to bring that back because I feel
like there's nothing on social, nothing's trending from it.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
But I think the tough thing is people stop watching
TV live, so they weren't able to sell commercials as
much as I.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Used to Church Church trail. So well, hey, guys, here's
the thing. If you're going to work today and somebody
brings up the Billboard Music Awards and you want to
feel like you know something, there's only one thing for
you to know. Taylor Swift won every award. I'm back
kidding you, guys, Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard
one hundred, Top Billboard two hundred, Top one hundred Songwriter,
Top Streaming Artists, Top Radio song Top Billboard Global Award,

(01:15):
like Clean Sweet.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Essentially, we can't be shocked she had the biggest year.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
If her name was in the category she was winning.
Here she is accepting one of her seven thousand awards.
Billboard is counting your stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
They're counting what you listen to, the albums that you're
passionate about, and so I count these as like fan
voted awards, because you guys are the ones who care
about our albums and come see us in concert, and
everything that's happened with the Aras tour and the torture
post apartment, I just have to say thank you. It
means the world to me that you guys have embraced

(01:51):
the things I've made, you know, and the fact that
you've cared so much about my music, And this is
like the nicest early birthday present you could gain me.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
So thank you very much. That was last night, because
today is her actual birthday. She is thirty five today.
Does he post?

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Does he post for her?

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (02:09):
I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Really, they've never posted anything together on social media all.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Right, Well, the bigger question is does he propose today?
And I say no, No.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
There's nothing worse than a proposal on a holiday or
on a birthday, like let that live itself. Give yourself
an extra day to celebrate during the year.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Don't do that, and then don't do the like Valentine's
Day thing too, because that's also stupid.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Christmas is coming up, and I bet you so many
people have planned proposals for Christmas and they think that's
the time to do it. This is getting away from
itself because we're talking about the music wars. But I
just want to say, don't do it. Don't do it
on Christmas. Let Christmas have its time, and then again,
you can give yourself an additional holiday throughout the year
to celebrate your engagement. That's not on Christmas. Very true.
I just don't think he posts for her because I

(02:53):
think it he would have to turn the comment section
off and I think it would turn into a whole thing.
But I would love it. I would love to see it.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Fine, but he will talk about her on the podcast though.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I agree, which is you know, that's kind of where
he does it. That's his safe space. Just to add
in for Billboard Music Awards because I'm petty. Top Rap
Artist went to Drake over Kendrick, and top wrap mail
Artists also went to Drake over.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Kendrick, just saying they feel bad for him.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Cut your ass up.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
All right.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
We have Time Magazines Person of the Year. Last year,
speaking of it went to Tay in twenty twenty three.
This year, Times Person of the Year goes to.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
I know the answer, Oh you do. Yes, it's not.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Fun Donald Jay Trump, it's Jay Trump Ray.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Yes, it is Donnie, which it makes sense to me.
Won the election once again and the last time I
mean one was in twenty sixteen.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yep, he joins thirteen other presidents. Joey b was up
there to also receive the recognition. NBA star Caitlin Clark
named Athlete of the Year, Elton John Icon of the Year,
and a sue of Advanced micro Devices is CEO of
the Year.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
What did she do us?

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Advanced micro Devices has to.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Do something with AI. That's the only thing I can
think of in why this would make sense?

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Shout out to her CEO of the Year. How many
people are going to get the Time magazine and burn
it because Donnie's on the front. I actually legit saw
the headline the other day where it was like, people
aren't going to Christmas because as half of their family
voted for Trump and they're still mad about it.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
It's really stupid.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
The other tough thing is too, I don't know if
anybody buys magazine like anymore.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
I look at them while I'm waiting in line at
the checkout at the grocery store. But that's about it. Yeah,
it's about it, all right. Speaking of Drake, this is
kind of exciting. I don't know what is going on. Obviously,
there's going to be a collab, and I know it's
going to be in the merch department, But does this
mean we're going to get Patriots by Ovo gear? Because
the NFL and Drake are teaming up both of their

(04:53):
instagrams featuring both logos with a date of twelve thirteen.
Happened earlier this week, so we know it's some sort
of oh Vo NFL merch. It's coming out today. We
don't know exactly what it is. But let me say
I'm not I'm the biggest Patriot fan right now, but
if there's an Ovo Patriots patriotsweater, big Mama needs it.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
It reminds me when Travis Scott did all the collabs
with all the colleges, and I think you bought one
from Northeastern, right.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
I bought the Northeastern hoodie. It was Yeah, it was
a Travis Scott collab. He designed him himself that that
collection was amazing, but it was like a capsule collection.
There was only certain schools, so you're right there, Like,
do I think the Browns are gonna get an Ovo hoodie? No,
but if they do, my dad's getting one for Christmas.
Tell you that much the price I on that, it's
going to be at least one hundred and fifty. I know,
I got to keep my ash on it. I gotta
make sure I have to. I have to. That is

(05:42):
three things you need to know. For Friday, December thirteenth.
We got to call at like six am and she
was like, Hey, Ashley, are you doing Kendrick tickets right now?
We weren't then, but we are in this very moment.
Six one seven nine three one one nine four five
six one seven nine three one one nine four five
Maybe not. It's a bit board, but to the rest
of the world, there's nobody bigger than Kendrick Lamar. Right now,

(06:03):
he's teaming up with Sizza there on the Grand National Tour.
It's coming to Jillett. Hopefully you'll be there. Goodluck callor
