Speaker 1 (00:00):
Dashly in the jam In Morning Show with DJ fourn
It saw t Morning Bustin's number one for hip hop
jam in ninety four or five. Bye everybody.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
There was a lot of back and forth online when
TikTok disappeared about creators crying and people were like, the
big saying was, I don't know if you guys saw this.
Did you see what people were telling TikTok creators that
were crying that TikTok was going away?
Speaker 1 (00:27):
No what, touch grass? Go outside and touch grass the
ground themselves.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Basically like get out of your house and stopping in
front of a computer and go outside. That was the
big thing. And this is coming from somebody who I
have TikTok on my phone, but like, I'm not a TikToker.
I don't really go on there like that. My number
one platform is Instagram. That's where I go. I felt
for the content creators because some of those people literally
(00:55):
quit their nine to five and that's their full time job.
So imagine you have warning on it, but you know
you're gonna lose your job in a day. No one's
handling that well, you're not like you're just not like
you're not You're Nott prepped for that. Now there's a
countdown to it. Oh and by the way, it might
not go away. It's there, but it's and then it does,
(01:15):
it goes away. And so now these people were shedding tears,
and a lot of people couldn't handle it. And I
just think that those people that couldn't handle it don't
understand what it really takes to be a full time
content creator. People might call the three of us quote
content creators, but that's not our full time job. This
is somebody that does it as a real nine to five,
(01:39):
coming up with something every single day, editing, posting, all
of those things. It is a lot of work and
lots of work, and guess what, some people don't have it.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
To put into perspective, I feel like I'm good with
the editing, I'm good with the filming, You're great all
of that. But can I tell you that I'm trying
to elevate a few things. I had to hire a
company to help me with the editing. It's that much,
it's that much of a demand on you. It's like
so long.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Well, especially again, you have a job, right, you have
a full time job. That's stuff you're doing. But if
you are going to fully dedicate your life to it.
You can't have another job. That has to be it.
And there are some people that, like there's an I
think we all can name, like a Perscuido Poppy, a
Tommy Guarino. Like those guys they have an it factor, right,
(02:27):
like there is something about them that you want to watch,
you want to see. They're funny, they have comedic timing.
Not everybody can do that, and that's okay. Not everybody
can just go out and be a content creator because
it's hard, it's not eating. I've always stood on that
because I do think it's hard, and I do think
it's a full time job. With our job, it's tough
(02:49):
because they want us to be content creators, but they
also want us to be good at this job. And
then we go home and we have kids on stuff.
And I'm not saying that it's like, oh WHOA is
me by any means, but you know, I try my
best to upkeep. I feel like I do a good
job of posting stories on what's going on in my life.
I don't I'm not really a feed poster like that,
but I post a lot of my stories my day
to day and we all know I'm going through the
(03:11):
potty training constant question I get, give me three four
things I'm potty training this weekend, ash and I feel
like I write the same little I put it this way.
I copy and pasted a blurb and put it in
my notes, and I've been sending it to people that
ask That's how many times I'm getting asked about it.
So I said to Santa yesterday, I said, I need
to make a little short video that lives somewhere that's hey.
Here here are my top favorite three things that I
(03:32):
used for partly training. I am not a professional. They
just worked in the asylum in which I live. I
am just going to play for you. The first second
like this, This was me trying to quote content create
at my home with two children. This was just the
first part three things that worked for potty training in
(03:54):
this asylum from a non professional the whole time. And
by the way, I caught myself like looking at the
camera and being like, do I look at that? How
do I look like? Who am I talking to nobody?
You know? I finish it and I look the lighting
is not good. But I don't own a tripod, I
(04:15):
don't have a ring light. So I was stacking things
to try to get the level. I was sitting on
the toilet and it's not good it and I just
it was just another testament to like anybody that saws
listen crying over TikTok and you're just a regular person,
get a life, find something you're passionate about. But somebody
(04:39):
who's crying over TikTok, that that is what they do
for a living. That's tough.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Yeah, that's money. But to your point, though your video
may have looked bad from your perspective, but everybody starts someplace,
so I'm sure I can continue to do to do this.
By next year, your video is gonna look.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Like I said to I'm like Sonti's like, Ash, I
can get you a ring light. I can get your
try for it to come to your house and offered yeah,
and I said no, I can do it, like I'm capable.
I can do it. And I look at the videos
are creamy like they're not good. But now because I
posted about joking about how hard it was, I feel
(05:16):
like I have to post the ghetto version because it's
not good.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
It's still going to run up, but are you prepared?
But you prepared for the comments.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Though, well I get those anyway. Yeah, and you know
what's crazy, I get mean comments and I don't eat.
Somebody wrote me yesterday and said, I posted a video
on my Instagram story of Daisy eating a piece of steak.
She tried steak yesterday for the first time. And some
guy wrote me and was like, that slop piece of
steak looks just like you. You're so discussing. I was like, baby,
(05:51):
a baby eating a piece of steak and I'm disgusting. Yeah, yeah, no,
it's so.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
If you're prepared for that, then cool. And I've come
to realize your videos, all your content does not have
to be high quality. There's people out here winning with
very low quality.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Just open a fom for you if you want the
tow B version of things you should get for I have,
so listen, we gotta do it.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Then I gotta or today or.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
No, because that's another thing I tried. I don't know
how to edit, so I was trying to edited in
the Instagram thing. It got to the point where I
just threw my phone. I said, I can't do this.
I can't So no, I have like the different parts.
I just need somebody in my life to help me
put them together.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
The baby who is going to help you.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Just keep bal Dominican because it's coming. My content creating
is coming.
