Speaker 1 (00:00):
Wait, yo, hi, everybody, Good morning, Happy Friday, Cheers to
the freaking weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
We made it.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
It was a short week, but sometimes the short weeks
feel longer.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
It's strange, but this one did not. This one's face, I.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Felt like this cruise. We're already here. It's Friday. What's
everybody got in the docket for the day, for the
weekend day whatever.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Today we're going skiing as a family, so we're doing that,
and then tomorrow watch it crotch it.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Yeah, it's not far from my house.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
The cookies that cross. It's like, we got a lot
going on.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
And it's like six tomorrow we have my sister in
law's fortieth birthday party.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
You sound for really, I am not thrilled.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
I would rather get like a prostate exam than do that.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
We know that's not the worst example.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Wait there said anything because he dreams about it.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
He thinks it's always on the tip of his tongue.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
I walked right into that one. Yeah, I'm just not
thrilled about it. Like it's just like, come on.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
But when else are you gonna have a party party?

Speaker 3 (01:14):
It's a dinner.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Okay, fine, Like were sorry? Were you not going to
eat on a Saturday.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
No, it wasn't about the eating.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
It's just like it's not fun company wowas fun.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
He's fine on the woman's birthday, it's not fun coming
it's not today.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
So I can say everything I can where I don't know.
It's at a restaurant in Exeter, New Hampshire, which is
it's like the town's awesome, but.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Still I just don't want to have a family. Does
you enjoy me enjoying?

Speaker 4 (01:40):
But then my daughter's are babysitting her kids, so it's
like a half family gathering. And my son, my oldest son,
who's fifteen, will be at home, so he's not going
to be there. But then her mother will be there,
her dad, her brother.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
And it'll be fine.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
I don't think so. But okay, well, well.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Would you rather do that or would you go to
a restaurant that has bouncy houses for children that the
food's not that great, but there's bouncy houses so the
kids are occupied and you can sit and have a
drinking peace.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
I'd rather go to that because that can actually be fun,
and on top of it, you can sit there and
watch all the other moms.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Okay, I've had that experience yeah, four in your clubbing right, Yeah,
we club into night We had hon your favorite spot,
and then tomorrow we had venue other than that just cooling. Man,
does han mean? Does it mean something? Or is this
award that they made up? No, I'm not sure if
han means anything at all. Might have been a word
they made up. By the way, sexy club very very

(02:36):
nice looking han. Han is a very nice looking club.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Obviously tough expression, but you know what, to your head,
you could only DJ at one club around this area
for the rest of your time as a DJ.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
I know it's a tough question, but like a.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Tough question honestly. Big night Life, Yeah, I know they
could turn it. They could turn Big night Life into
a club and I could DJ that every weekend. Yeah,
Big night Live. I mean everything about Big Nightlight is fine.
It's a big club. The acoustics amazing, the stage presidence
is dope. They got the lighting, they got the ball,
they got the TV screen, and I mean, it's it's
an experience when you walk into.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
I've been in there a couple of times.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Is it's nice. It's nice to you imagine that that
was once just a big ass warehouse and they transformed
in into what it is.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
It's crazy and it's the location exactly.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
It's right next to the garden.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
You're attached to the garden. Pretty yeah, my club and days.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
When was the last time you went to a club?

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Man, that's like a question. Probably when I was in
Where did I go in Texas? Austin, Oh, Austin, we
probably like stumbled into a club drunk. But I have
but also to look, I would go to a club,
but it has to all the way be you planned out.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I have to have a table.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
There has to be would you want to go to
a club but more like a loungey spot?

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Obviously lounge I think would be. But if say it
was like, hey we're going to Vegas, we're hitting the club. Fine,
I'm in, but it's got to be done the right way.
We have to have a table, you have that bottle.
We have to bottle service. I'm not waiting the line.
It's like, no, I'm old, I'm old and bougie.

Speaker 5 (04:11):
No.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
No, that's the same exact thing. I also don't feel
like I fit in at many places like anymore like that.
I feel like I'm like the old head.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
There.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
There's a lot of gay clubs.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
Especially show with DJ Fourgn and Santy Glynn.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
You need to know, No, we got you three things
you need to know on Boston's number one for hip
hop and the best throwbags.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
Jamn't any more.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Five Friday jan twenty four.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Let's go to court New England Patriots safety Dabrill Jabrill.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Every time Jabrill Peppers in court.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Jeez, I have a speech impediment.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Start over?

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Can we do the whole thing over? I mean, can
we start the intro? Wat watch this, Watch what I'm
about to do.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
Especially in the Jamine Morning Show with DJ Foreign and Satin.

Speaker 6 (05:08):
When you need to know, we got you three things
you need to know on Boston's number one for hip
hop and the best throwbags.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
You haven't any more.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Five Friday, January twenty fourth.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Let's go to the courtroom first with New England Patriots
safety Gerbil Peppers. He was there yesterday, pled guilty to
one charge.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Of possessing a little bit blow cocaine.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
He needed to get this out of the way because
he has bigger fish to fry.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
He was there.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
He admitted to a judge that that little powdery substance
that was found that his wallet was in fact cocaine.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
But remember he wasn't in trouble just for that.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
He was also arrested for a domestic violence incident plus
the illegal drug incident.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
So he he was dealing with that.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Basically, he was to remain drug free and stay out
of trouble for the next four months after making his
plea deal that one can probably get wiped if he
stays on the straight and narrow with that. The bigger
charges that he's looking at three other charges related to
this arrest, including counts of strangulation, assault, and battery. This
story is crazy, guys, because his ex girlfriend is alleging

(06:20):
that he strangled her, hit her head against a wall,
forced her outside naked. When he was asked why she's
saying this, he said it is because she wanted to
have unprotected sexuals and he wouldn't do it, and that
sent her to the moon and then they fought.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Now, what's interesting about this whole thing is.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
There's video, and I don't know if there's video of
the entire incident, but they played a little bit in
the of it yesterday. There's definitely a back and forth
between the two of them. But his team, Jabrill Pepper's
legal team is saying they have plenty.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Of video footage that will back up his not guilty plea.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
I mean, the coke is like not a minor thing,
but it's yeah, Stuf is kind of crazy.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Well, he's he's done for good. If the other stuff
is true, Yeah, there's no question on that.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
He's gone.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
And I think even Kraft said that, like, we're waiting
to see what happens, but if any of the things
that are set being said about him in the.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
News are true, he's gone like the wind.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Jesus Joy's selection began yesterday. Hopefully, you know, they'll get
to the bottom everything. AJ gave me this fun fact today.
I don't know where you saw this too, but basically
AJ was telling me that she saw that a lot
of the Patriot players are told if they're getting into
an altercation with somebody, the best thing they can do
is get their phone out and start recording and start recording.

(07:48):
Was that set in courtroom the news seting yesterday or
the new setup?

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Well that's interesting.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
If that is true and he has video footage of
the entire thing, he wouldn't be able to record and
do some of those that I claim I never heard.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
That cause for why they got into a fight ever
in my life, that she wanted to have unprotected sex
and he said no, and she flipped out.

Speaker 7 (08:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
The only thing I can think of is her rebuttal
to that is, well, if you're.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Just having sex with me, why wouldn't you do that.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
As a yeah ABC, yeah wow yeah or not thinking
of that?

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Yeah right, remind me mine wow.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
No, You're probably right all right.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Keep you posted on that obviously.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Like I said, if in fact any of the things
that are being said are true, see you later.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Lock him up.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
But innocent until proven proven guilty. Uh are we selling
our iPhones? What's up?

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Why?

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Because we can make some serious cash right now? Well,
you don't know why yet, because I don't know. I
don't think you will. You can tell he doesn't know it.
You can tell he doesn't know because he's talking about
basically son. The night of the Old of of r
I P to TikTok people, you know, when they were like,
it's gone, it's it's never to come back, see you later.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
They took it off their phones emotional, they were like,
it's done, it's gone. I TikTok deleted the whole app.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Those people that either deleted the app or never downloaded
the app are unable now to download the app, get
the app, partake on the app.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Nothing. You can't do it right.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Now, assuming that after this seventy five or ninety days
when they come to whatever agreement, depending on what happens.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
But there's a chance it will not come back.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
So people are selling their iPhones with TikTok already downloaded
twenty five k what There are some people selling what
ten thousand?

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Yeah, fifteen, I would do that right now.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
You can have my phone right now for twenty five
thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
You can keep the pictures.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
I still like. I saw somebody offering three thousand. I
would I would take three you could. I could get
a nice new iPhone.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
With that and pocket money especially, That's what I'm thinking
for you, and I like, that's not going to the
only reason I have it on my phone is because
I don't like when people send me the videos and
I click them. If you don't have the app, it's
harder to watch. I have the app, so it opens
right away.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
So if I buy an iPhone but I already had
the app, can I still at the app now?

Speaker 7 (10:24):
Really?

Speaker 1 (10:25):
No?

Speaker 3 (10:25):
The app the app is no longer available. The app
is the app stores.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Send the app never existed gone, So unless you already
have it.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
You're good.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
Okay, But then I can still upload videos from my
desktop from the computer, so I think I would be fine.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
What you mean to to? What though to TikTok? If
you had TikTok, Yes, you have to have it. You
have to have the app. If you don't have the app,
I'm saying, all right, well you deleted it, but.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
You're saying it doesn't make sense. So say, say someone
says you San Dio twenty five thousand dollars for your
phone dot buy, you will never have TikTok.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
But what if I open up TikTok on my computer?
Do you have TikTok on your computer? Yes? And you
can upload from your computer. Yeah, you're saying, and I
make the money.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Wow, you put it on your computer. That's smart.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
JT from the City Girls jumped in Somebody's coming on
Twitter X and was like, yo, I'll give you give
me sixty thousand for my phone a million, and I'll
leave my pictures in there for you.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
What that might be worth it for somebody?

Speaker 5 (11:22):
All right?

Speaker 1 (11:22):
And lastly, Major announcement from Kendrick Lamar. Listen, the Super
Bowl halftime show is on the way. I mean, it's
about to be here. February ninth, Super Bowl fifty nine
will take place. We know Kendrick is the guy. We
figured there was gonna be some special guests. We got
confirmation yesterday.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
What's up, wedding, Everything's move I'm on the field right now.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Yeah, you know, same mold, keeping the body emotion.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
Getting that wind up.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
You know, this field a lot bigger than what people think.
So that's mus exactly.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
Now.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
I've been thinking about a guest before.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
If you only hear that, you wouldn't know. But that
was how he showed with Scissa, and she was dumping
water on them. Kendrick Sissa, you know, not low Wayne.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Not low Wayne.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Maybe he's a surprise, Okay, just saying I feel like
he's gonna have some things up his sleeve. This is
too much of a big stage for him, the way
he's been going the last six months. Yeah, this is
too big of a stage for him to just come
out of do performance and walk off.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
I also feel like, and correct me if I'm wrong.
A lot of the times, there's at least two special guests.
He only announced one. Yeah, he'll probably get one more.
I don't think it's gonna be Lil Wayne. I would
love that.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
I don't think.

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Are you guys excited for this performance?

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Could care less.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
I want to see what he's gonna do. I'm excited
because I think again, he's gonna do something on there
that's going to have people talking for the next few weeks.
After that, a.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Few weeks, I think.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
So look a look at look what not like us?
Did not like us. It's been hanging around for number
one on on radio, number one on charts. He did
damage with that record.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
As a Drake fan, I just have to say.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
I think that's why I don't care about him, and
I don't care about this performance.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
But he's going If.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
He does something that has me mentioning it weeks later,
I will take back anything I ever said.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
I mean, if he doesn't like that, then it's something
that like crossed the line or something that with people
are like, oh, like, oh my.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
God, Janet Jackson JT moment. Yeah, I don't think that's
gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
He's going through. So he's two weeks.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
You here before and said for weeks I'll be talking
about it and then I will apologize.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Maybe I'll wear merch.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
We'll see.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
It's three things need to do for Friday, jan twenty four.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
The Governor's Ball in New York City has a ton
of amazing artists speaking of Tyler the Creator, Tyler T.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Payne, and more. We're gonna hook you up with tickets
in eight twenty is the time.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Now from the mcgoverned auto dot Com Traffic Center.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
She han't ninety four or five traffic.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
We have slow stopping go traffic twenty four northbound before
the ninety three IX and just a minor delays Quinzy
up to South Bay on the Expressway northboundin I also.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Want to add in not only do we have the
Governor's Ball tickets coming up, but today is the day
that we'll announce a grand prize winner. Papa's going to
do it later in his show. He'll do one more giveaway,
announce the grand prize. If you win the grand prize,
not only will you go, but we will pay for
everything your transportation there and your hotel and God only
knows where that is.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
But it's the four Seasons. It's a four Seasons on
the Upper east Side amazing place.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
What I'm not going to do is play these Okay.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
It's the four points, not the four seasons.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Okay, guys. Yesterday we had this moment during the show.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
We had to talk back from a girl and she
basically was explaining that she budget wise can only afford
one coffee a week. She was upset because she went
to get her one dunks coffee they messed up the
flavor and like something about that just hit me in
my soul, not only because I'm a coffee lover, but
also the thought that all week you wait for something,
can only do it once a week and then it's

(14:55):
not the right one.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
I hated it.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
So I told her, if we can get a hold
of her, I want to buy coffee for the month.
Everybody else was calling in saying the same thing. They
wanted to help her out. Coffee Girl has been secured.
Not only do we now know who she is, but
she is gonna come on this show and join us.
Next we will talk to the official Coffee Girl in
the morning show.

Speaker 5 (15:18):
With DJ four and it's saw a Morning Girls is
number one for hip hop.

Speaker 8 (15:22):
Damn.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
In ninety four or five, somebody told AJ that her
face was resembled.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
A flat sandwich has thrown us all off because we
don't get it.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
We don't understand it.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
I think that's a squash sandwich, right.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Well, that to me, like you squashed squashed. Wait, is
there a difference between a flat and a squash?

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Yeah, I mean squash. It's not a good thing to me.

Speaker 7 (15:50):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
I also I don't want a flat sandwich. Ye, flat right,
like they didn't put enough meat in that thing.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
Oh, it's smashed. That would be better than squash. Squash.
This means like it's dented up and it's well.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
Were talking about a squash like the vegetable like we like,
we don't know, but either way, it'shed sandwich.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Sounds like something sounds too weak in his journey right now.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
But anyways, listen, yesterday we had a moment in time.
We got a talk back from we called her coffee girl.
Do we have the talkback? Okay, we got this talkback.

Speaker 8 (16:22):
Have you ever wanted a coffee so bad you wait
all week for it because you got one coffee from
dunkin Donuts and your budget and you get it. You
get to your workplace and you take a sip and
it's a different flavor than you were expecting. I'm on
my way back to Dunkin Donuts right now to get

(16:43):
my coffee because I need my caramel swirl. Not whatever
this is. I think it's pumpkin. It's gross.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
But it was a two part like I there's there's
coffee is an experience. Uh, coffee drinkers will know what
I mean when I say, and truly nothing worse than
you know. You're all excited, you get in line, you
get your coffee, you take your first sip, and it's
not what you ordered, not what you had in mind,
didn't taste like the last time you had had it.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
That's terrible.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
But then you add in the layer of you only
can allot yourself one a week because of your budget,
and that one you have is wrong. Like I just
couldn't handle it. It was making me emotional. So I
was like, listen, if we can figure out who coffee
girl is, I want to buy her coffee for a month.
And then the phone line's lit up and it was
a shared experience, just like it is drinking a coffee

(17:30):
with somebody, and everybody was like, I want to give
her five bucks for a coffee.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
I want to give her money for coffee.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
So we were excited, but then it was like poof,
she was gone because she had gone to work, so
she clearly wasn't listening anymore, and the show was over
and we hadn't heard anything. Late afternoon, I get a
DM and it said Ashley, Oh my god, hi, and
I put high with a question mark because I was like,
that's a weird thing.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
To say, and she goes, it's me. It's Coffee Girl.
Coffee Girl is joining us.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Coffee Girl's real name Isana.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Tell us what it felt like to.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Go back, and you're do you listen to the podcast
every day as a part of your routine.

Speaker 9 (18:07):
Yeah, I usually wait until, like you guys put it up,
like around eleven, but yesterday it was a super busy day,
so I didn't get to listen to it until after work.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
So there you are, after work.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
You press play when you heard your talk back and
we got into that conversation where you shocked.

Speaker 9 (18:24):
Yeah, I was because I didn't expect it, so like
I just I give you guys talk backs all the time,
so like, I totally didn't expect you to.

Speaker 10 (18:32):
Be like I want to buy you coffee.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (18:35):
I I called my husband real quick and I was like,
listen to this, and I sent them the podcast.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Yeah, And it wasn't just me. So many people were
calling in.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
The phones were going crazy of everyone just being like,
I want to get her a coffee.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Now, I will say, and you and I had a
little back and forth about this.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Some people were like, girl, why would she wait until
she got to work to take her first sip.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Now with that being said, I've done that as well.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
I've gotten my coffee, put it in my cup holder,
wait till I got home to have my first sip.
So some people, you know, they drink, they drink their
coffeees differently. You have learned a lesson here. I have.

Speaker 9 (19:10):
Yes, Usually I wait, I don't know why. I usually
drink it right away, but for some reason yesterday I
waited and it kind of looked a little dark, so
I should have tasted it. But you know there usually
don't like, I don't complain, like, I'll just drink it. Yeah,
yesterday I was having a day, so I was like,
I need to go back.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
And it's your one coffee a week. You And why
do you pick thursdays? By the way, Oh, because you're
what you told me, you're working from home today. I
was in because you know, if I only can have
one coffee a week and that's budgeted in, I'm doing
it on a Friday, really.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
Yeah, Monday.

Speaker 9 (19:42):
Usually usually it's Fridays.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Right, because it's like a fun treat.

Speaker 9 (19:47):
Yesterday I had such a busy day at work and
I knew I was like I was ampering myself up
for it. So I'm like, I know what, I'm not
fasting today because I do intermittent fasting. Because I'm not
fasting today, I'm gonna go and get my sandwich and
I'm gonna go in coffee and I'm gonna have that
for my day. Well, when they were both groached.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
And they were all you were so sorry, Well, I
posted up your your venmo on our Instagram at Ashley
and nam Tweez on the Ashley and on my own,
I put a little like snippet of our conversation. You
told me this morning that people have been sending you
venmos go get a coffee on me. Are they writing
things in the in the caption.

Speaker 9 (20:24):
Yeah, just like says just like that, like you deserve
a coffee. Here you go, coffee on me. You guys
are so sweet. Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
That's the best.

Speaker 9 (20:32):
None of you had to do any of that, because
I know how it is, like like every dollar of
mine goes somewhere, right, so to give to somebody like like,
I'm gonna cry because it's just not it's amazing.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
I was getting choked up yesterday too, So like I said,
so many people were like, ash, I want to get
I mean even after it was over, we were getting
talked back to people being like I want to hook
coffee girl up with a week of coffee. So you
don't have to say the number, but you officially have
enough money in there to get coffee for I would
say at least to march.

Speaker 11 (21:04):
Yes, for sure.

Speaker 9 (21:05):
Yeah, I'm gonna put it straight into my dunks because
if I don't, I'm thinking like I'm thinking like, okay,
that can go to that bill, that can.

Speaker 10 (21:13):
Go to that.

Speaker 9 (21:13):
So no, it's gonna go straight to my dunk.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Yep.

Speaker 9 (21:16):
And that's what's gonna buy me and my daughter's dunkin donuts.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
I told her, I said you need to she's working
from home. I said, you got to load the kids up,
and I know what's annoying. Trust me, I do it
all the time, and you need to go get a
dunk and we want a sell fie of you having
your Dunks coffee on us this morning.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
For sure, before we go.

Speaker 9 (21:36):
My daughter, we call in all the time, but we
don't get through. My daughter wants to say hi. Okay,
it is say hi, yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
Hi, Hi baby, Hey, Mommy's gonna take you to Dunkin Donuts.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
Get some munchkins. Okay, get a donut? Hi baby?

Speaker 9 (21:59):
How old are they two and four?

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Oh yeah, maybe you're in the trenches just like you
and I.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Well listen, go get them loaded up, get to dunks.
Enjoy that coffee. Nobody knows that feeling of a first
sip like like we do not foreign, but Santi and
I and I'm glad, I'm glad that we can help up,
help out.

Speaker 9 (22:17):
Peorn did say, oh, let's get her a coffee pop.
I do have a coffee pot. But it's like you,
like you guys said, it's not the same.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
It's not no listen, but he and he listen. He
might not understand coffee, but he's willing to have the conversation,
so now he knows it's.

Speaker 9 (22:31):
Not a porn drink, hot chocolate.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Shakes, milk chocolate shakes. My mom tries to get me
into tea. I don't. I don't subscribe to that neither.
That's a big Kenyon thing. But coffee never number one.
It makes you have bread stink.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Yeah, he does give it a.

Speaker 9 (22:46):
Gum for foreign also.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Hers probably tastes nice because she puts like caramel swirl
in it.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
That's not bad.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
But you're good. You set up you loaded now, Dunks.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Yeah, you are, you are, Dunk.

Speaker 9 (22:58):
I'm so appreciative. Thank you, guys.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
You're so you're so so welcome. I'm glad we could
do it. We'll be waiting for our photo of you.
Get those kids in the.

Speaker 9 (23:05):
Car well too.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
All right, have a good day you too. Yeah, she was.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
She was messaging me last night and she's like, it
must be a weird thing, right, You just started listening
to the podcast like you always do, and then all
of a sudden everyone's talking about you.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
Yeah, she said.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
It immediately made her emotional, and it made me emotional too.
I mean say everybody though, oh no, and that's what
I said.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
He at least stepped up like y'all were crazy, and
I was just like yo, I'll give a month, I'll
give a year. Yeah, turning it into a coffee crackfee.
Coffee is a good addiction, though there's nothing bad for it.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
Some say it helps you live longer.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
It actually does. You know what I do do with coffee?
And I don't drink it even though I got it
in the crib. I buy it. I use it for
my face. Really, why honey and coffee and it's a
face mask.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
There are coffee face masks and yeah, that's the.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
Only reason I buy.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
There are also coffee like other things in the back
end when you constipated. Yeah, there are are enemus that
you use.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
The coffee amos. It's like a lightning bolt of.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
We just had a conversation with a girl that only
can afford one coffee a week, and now it turns
to poop.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
Now we're talking.

Speaker 5 (24:09):
About remedies, especially ended morning show with DJ Foreign and
Santi WHNN.

Speaker 6 (24:16):
You need to know, No, we got you three things
you need to know on Boston's number one for hip
hop and the best throwbags.

Speaker 5 (24:24):
You haven't any more? Five?

Speaker 1 (24:26):
All right, babes, Friday, Jan twenty four, Let's go to
the courtroom. We are with New England Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers.
It's gonna mess me up every time. He appeared in
a court room yesterday pled guilty to one charge of
possessing cocaine.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
He had that coke charge on him, powdery substance that
was found in his wallet. He needed to take care
of that. Clean thing up, Clean things up there because
he has bigger fish to fry, and he did that.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
So he pled guilty.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
Basically, the judge was like, you gotta remain drug free,
stay out of trop for the next four months. After
he made that plea deal, and I think that that
one is figured out. We're good there, Okay, done. But
the bigger problem is he is still facing three other
charges related to his arrest, including counts of strangulation, assault

(25:16):
and battery.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
He is being accused.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
Of roughing up his girlfriend during an argument early early
in the morning, where she claims not only did he
strangle her, he bashed her head against a wall through
her outside naked, all because they had an argument over
him not wanting to have unprotected sex with her.

Speaker 4 (25:38):
He must be a decent player, to the point that
the Patriots want to keep them because usually they usually
cut players at the first you know, hint, like inkling
of like arrest.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
Maybe they're given them the benefit of the delta, and
that's that's.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
What it feels like.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
I know that Craft had said if any of this
thing comes to fruition, and he actually did some of this,
he's gone see you later, no question. Maybe they're holding
on to innocent until proven guilty. His lawyers, by the way,
are like, we're not worried about it.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
We have video footage.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
They said on the news this morning that a lot
of the football players get directed. If you're starting to
get into some sort of altercation, whether it's with a
female anybody else, get that phone out, Like, let's make
sure we have video evidence.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
That and also surveillance cameras, right, because a lot of
them have seveillan cameras inside and outside the crip.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Yeah, and he definitely does have some video from that night.
We heard a little bit of an argument between the two.
He's telling her get your stuff, leave, get your belongings,
get out of here.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
So we'll see again.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
His attorney claims that the videos are going to help
prove his innocence.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
The Patriots need to be careful because they're passed with
past players and criminal activities have bit dodgy.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Yes, little sucks.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
The jury selection began yesterday.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Obviously, once this thing gets rolling, we will keep you
guys looped in, all right. The ninety seventh, which is
crazy Academy Award noms we're announced yesterday. There was a
big time delay on that due to the fires in California.
The big time movies that are nominated. I'm just gonna

(27:08):
go over Best Picture for you because if I do
every category, we'll be here for the remainder of the day.
But the leader, Amelia Perez led with thirteen nominations, Wicked
right behind, scoring ten numbs. The ceremony will be hosted
by Conan O'Brien. It will happen in March. Here are
the other nominees for Best Picture.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
I sound like I'm actually.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
I had to stop hire me Anora yell if you've
heard of any of these, To be honest, I think
I'm Anora the Brutalist, Yes, only because I don't know
what other award show was it was mentioned, Okay, a
complete unknown obviously. That's with Timothy Shallomey, Kylie Jenner's Man's Conclave.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
Yes, I have heard of it.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
This one we all know. Dune Part two amazing.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Amelia Perez is the one that's a ton of noms.
I've never heard of it. I'm still here.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
I've seen it, but I haven't. I've seen it. They'll
post it.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Up somewhere, Okay. The Nickel Boys, the Substance, Yes.

Speaker 3 (28:13):
I have with Demi Moore broke up.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
I heard that one's real weird. Yeah, I didn't watch it.
But and then of course Wicked. You couldn't escape with it.

Speaker 4 (28:23):
Nothing there that's like dominating the fact of like, I
have to go see the film.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
This film sounds amazing.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
Yeah for us, though I don't know if Dunes everyone. Yeah,
the biggest thing that I saw yesterday trending everywhere, which
will be different. If you're somebody who loves to watch
the Oscars, you will not see a singular live performance.
Usually throughout the show, the top five songs that are
nominated in the Best Original Song category all are performed live.

(28:52):
Think like Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper. That will not happen anymore. Instead,
they said this year the Best Original Song category presentation
will move away from performances and it's gonna focus on
the songwriters. They're going to celebrate their artistry and talk
about how they came up with, you know, the words
for the songs.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
It was two years ago, right when Will Smith went
up there and smacked Chris Rock.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
Yeah, that was what a moment. That was an award
show like that was great.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
It's only going downhill from there. Yeah, it really has
or it's Fridays, you know what that means. We got
a ton of new music. We actually kicked off the
show with one. I already am getting dms.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Really listen to each their own? Will this song go
in the club for him?

Speaker 3 (29:32):
It will the Ratchet will love this? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I think Sexy Red does. You could see the amount
of Sexy Red requests I get in the club, can
only imagine. Here's a clip, guys, we did the best
we can. It's a new Sexy Red and Bruno Mars
called fat, juicy and wet.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
I don't even don't even bookie so good.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
Let me go up a set that good kitty Kitty,
good kitty kitty, make him up.

Speaker 6 (30:00):
Pretty sexy like like sexy, like dog saxey, like do.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
He ripped like get it? Get it from the front.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
If you listen to the unedited version yours. That's how
it was this morning driving in, I was like, what WHOA?

Speaker 1 (30:27):
That song reminds me of a song that comes up
in a conversation with a bunch of old people, where.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Like the music these days, you know that they'll they'll
bring they'll bring that.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
I'm surprised Bruno jumped on this, I'll be honest with
you because because Bruno has has been edgy, but he
does it in kind of like a classy way.

Speaker 9 (30:46):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
This was very well for him, so I'm surprised that
he jumped on the hook.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
We'll move on to left four and give us another one,
but I will end it with this. Do you believe
this song is more aggressive than what?

Speaker 7 (30:57):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (30:57):
This one?

Speaker 7 (30:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Because I kind of.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
I no, because Wappo's two females slowed down and see
this you can get lost in. The music was very
in your face, two females just going crazy. You know,
Sexy Red, we already know she's gonna say some crazy stuff.
But Wop I think was a shaka. The amount of
just vulgarity that they did. This is now kind of
like I can bop to this as long as it's

(31:22):
not juicy and wet.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Yeah, I would just say if you're in the car
with like a kid that hasn't aged that repeat stuff town.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
All right, what else did we get last night?

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Let's take it overseas Man London rapper Central Sea, who's
been making some big waves out here in the States.
I finally dropped an album which a lot of people
are looking forward to. Seventeen tracks which you don't see
a lot of. And now you got some big names
over from the UK and also hear from the States.
This one one of my favorite. By the way, he's
got a little baby on there. He's got twenty one
savage on there, this one with little Dirk. I think

(31:51):
you guys are gonna appreciate it after we just heard
what we heard, because it kind of gives you a
little nostalgia like.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
This right here.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 12 (32:07):
By your luck, you know the suicidal. But I'll keep
my head over all the pounds couldn't calm you. That's
why I need my bread for everyone. I call her,
call me seen with them, she said, don't I agree
with trouble around the world, And you're the only one
that's home made. You want to come at home right now,
come out.

Speaker 5 (32:22):
She like the other.

Speaker 12 (32:23):
Side, like you know my wife, like aso finger about
overnight the street from the last didn't even seem to
kill And I'm queer for real.

Speaker 5 (32:31):
Five you calling the shoes on your side. I'll catch
it real with you because I fought you with him.

Speaker 12 (32:36):
Man, Baby, if I need, I always save you the stress.
I don't want to see you in my lad You
made me correct.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
That's nice featuring a little Dirk. The album is called Greatness.
Definitely worth the listen. Go check it out. But yeah,
I like selling t and the music puts out. That
was a little different because it's very trappy, but that
I just love the accent.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
It reminds me a top boy. Every time I hear it.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
I feel like an English action. You can never get
mad anything they say.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
Okay, bro okay, bro okay, brou all right, there's three
things need to know for Friday, Jan twenty fourth.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Like I said, we're gonna do it at eight twenty.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
We are gonna hook you up with tickets to the
Governor's Ball and again we will announce the grand prize
sometime later in DJ Popdalk Show.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
It doesn't happen often.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
Usually when there is an update in the Karen Reid case,
we know it's coming there in court. We'll say to
you on Monday, this is happening. We're gonna have Nick
Rocco on later in the week.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
Some things popped off last night with Karen Reid case.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
Some things popped off to the point where I was
getting messages being like Ashley, I don't know what this
man is doing, but we need Nick to come on.

Speaker 5 (33:42):
You know what.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
Nick just got off a flight from Jamaica. Okay, like
he just got home. I'm texting him last night. We
really need you to come on the show. What's going on?
There were some major major revelations last night. New lies exposed.
Karen Reid's like, uh uh, You're gonna start paying for things.
There's camera footage. We have a lot to cover. Is

(34:04):
Nick confirmed? Nick is ready to go? We will We
will get you updated. Where are we at now with
Karen Reid?

Speaker 3 (34:11):
Next Dash and the Morning.

Speaker 5 (34:14):
Show with DJ Forurn. It's saw a taping.

Speaker 6 (34:16):
Morning Bustin's number one for hip hop jam in ninety
four or five.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Hi, everybody, good morning.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
You know we found out in a study that they
did about their show that we have a lot of
new ears and new people listening, and I do want
to give credit where credit is due. I think Nick
Rocco really helped us out there, because once Karen Reid
started and the trial began, it's just, you know, we
could read the headlines and we could read the articles,

(34:47):
but we weren't at ground zero, like we weren't in
a courtroom.

Speaker 11 (34:50):
You know, we.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Couldn't talk about the nuances of people's facial expressions and
what it was like to be in there and did
Karen look at, you know, this person a certain way
and all the things. And so we started having Nick
Rocco come on the show, and then we had this
segment once a week where it felt like we had
a little true crime thing going on. And that has

(35:12):
not ended because Karen is gearing up for potentially obably
not but potentially another trial. Like I said, usually we
get word about things like this earlier in the week
and then we tell you, hey, Thursday, Friday, We're gonna
have Nick on. It's not often where it's like I'm
getting a ton of messages. I'm calling Santi last night,
text and Nick, hey, can you come on? Even I'm

(35:34):
a little bit confused at some of the big revelations
that happened last night.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
So that's why we had to get you on.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
You know, you're fresh off of vacation, tanned up, and
I'm like, oh, that's so nice. Hope you had a
good one. Now it's time for work. Let's start with
the headline that I am actually seeing, which is that?

Speaker 2 (35:53):
And please stop and correct me if I'm wrong.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Karen Reid is asking for the court to pay up
to twelve thousand in fees for her certain experts that
she's had to fly in and house during all of this.

Speaker 11 (36:08):
Right, so between travel, airfare, hotels, day and all that,
it was a little over twelve thousand dollars that her
expert had flown in to basically meet with Hank Brennan
in their expert to go over all the video footage
from January the early morning of January twenty eighth into

(36:28):
the twenty ninth, which was the morning that John O'Keefe
was killed. So their expert came in and basically was
even though they arranged this meeting, they told them when
you got there, sorry, there's nothing and everything's deleted. Everything's gone.
So it was a waste of it. It was a
waste of time, even though the Commonwealth knew he was

(36:50):
coming trying to.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
Say everything's deleted, as in, like all of the footage
we had from from that night morning, you know it's gone.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
We got nothing correct.

Speaker 11 (37:01):
So the way that the Canton Police Department system works
is it overwrites every thirty days, so basically it'll save
for thirty days and then it goes away. But the
issue with that is the Commonwealth is providing video footage,
as we saw the inverted video that was submitted into
court and in the middle of the trial, and then

(37:24):
just most recently in October, the Commonwealth gave them more
video footage. It's not necessarily new video, but it's new
to the defense, as in they've never seen it before.
So that can only tell you the Commonwealth has had
this in their possession since those original thirty days and
they're not giving it to the defense team.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
That is wild to me.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
So basically they're like, if it works to their advantage,
they'll somehow make it save itself after the thirty days,
and if it doesn't play to their side, they'll make
sure that the system.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
Deletes it.

Speaker 11 (37:58):
Right, and they somewhere somehow they downloaded those within those
thirty days of the of the of the murder, they
downloaded that footage, so they did have it. Now, if
they completely deleted it since October, that could be. But
at the same time, it was somewhere for two and

(38:19):
a half years and they just never provided it though.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
So if I'm an outsider listening to this right now,
break it down as easy so that we can digest it. Essentially,
Karen's like, you're going to pay for my expert that
I spent twelve thousand dollars on because we met with
your expert just to learn nothing that there's no footage.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
So it was a waste of our time. That's why
I want the money, correct.

Speaker 11 (38:44):
Footage. The Commonwealth is saying that the hardware is gone
as well, so basically you can't even look at the camera.
Because here's the issue is the Commonwealth was saying that
that inverted video, that's how the camera record. Now, if
her expert goes in there and looks at that camera
and it's not inverted, the that proves someone manually inverted

(39:10):
that video and they can't have that.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
I'm still not.

Speaker 3 (39:15):
Far suppressing evidence. I'm still nobody.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
I think I'm still confused on the why why should
why should she pay for any expert? Then if she's
only asking specifically why specifically this one, why specifically is
she asking for twelve thousand dollars back on this one?

Speaker 3 (39:33):
Because waste?

Speaker 2 (39:35):
Is that what it is?

Speaker 1 (39:35):
Because they wasted time and they came and they were like, listen,
we can't give you anything. We don't have anything to
break down between the two experts.

Speaker 11 (39:42):
Yeah, pretty much, and I mean it goes.

Speaker 7 (39:45):
I mean yes.

Speaker 11 (39:46):
And also they knew he was coming, and they knew
they had nothing.

Speaker 3 (39:50):
Facts they still let him come and be like, hey,
we don't got the stuff that you're coming to look at,
No need to take the trip. Let's make us spend
her money and have the people come. That's what they
wanted to do. Okay, it's all the mokey does.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
So she wants the twelve k back for this because
it was a waste of time.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
Fine.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
I also saw a ton of people writing me being
like Ashley, there's there's new video surveillance. They got Brian
Higgins in a lie. They're they're catching him in a lie.
Break that down for everybody.

Speaker 11 (40:19):
Right, So again, it's not necessarily new video footage, right,
It's it's just new to the defense and as they
haven't seen it yet, the commonwealth has known about this.
So Brian Higgins, who's the ATF agent who was on
the stand during trial during the federal grand jury, during
his testimony, he stated he made no phone calls that

(40:42):
night or early morning. He got caught with the two
twenty two butt dial. He got caught. He got caught
in a lie with that because Alan Jackson showed him
records that the FED handed over to the defense and said, well,
what is this call about? And he and then he
kind of had to explain it as a butt dial
now that one point four am phone call as he's

(41:04):
leaving the Canton Police Department. He swore up and down
on the stand he made no phone calls. So here's
line number two about him making phone calls in the
early morning after John O'Keefe was killed.

Speaker 1 (41:15):
So there is actual video surveillance of him on the phone.
By the way, for everyone, because there's always you know,
there's so many players in this story. Brian Higgins is
the one that Karen Reid was texting with where it
was very uncomfortable for I'll just say that for everybody.
But the text message between the two of them, maybe
if youre worth listen free Karen. But I'm just saying
didn't love him. That is who he is. But now

(41:36):
we have him saying on the stand, no, I did
not make any calls, but there's video evidence proving that that,
in fact was not true.

Speaker 2 (41:43):
We don't know who he.

Speaker 3 (41:44):
Called, right correct.

Speaker 11 (41:46):
And the reason why we don't know is because the
defense team had put in a motion to get his
cell phone records, Brian Albert's cell phone records and a
few other peoples, and Judge Beverly Canoni denied those. So
the only intimation that they have about his phone records
is what the is what the Fed's handed over to
the defense. Now, they could only hand it over, you

(42:09):
know that two twenty two butt dial phone call and
not anything else. So this this was new to them,
that he was on the phone he you know, And
I'm gonna say, oh, he was listening to voicemails. But
I mean, at one thirty four in the morning, you've
been drinking all day. I don't think the last thing
you do and is listening to voicemail.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
Yeah that now you're calling somebody.

Speaker 1 (42:29):
Who it is is yet to be determined, but you're
calling somebody for sure.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
How would that play to Karen's advantage in court?

Speaker 11 (42:39):
So basically, it's a it's a it's considered a Brady
violation that the state is withholding evidence from the defense team,
which then requires you to file a motion to dismiss. Now,
this won't be the first motion to dismiss in this case,
because they did it in the first trial. Judge Beverly
Canoni denied that, and now with the second trial coming up,

(43:01):
they're going to file another another motion to dismiss based
on government misconduct. And I mean, if we can make predictions,
we know she's not going to approve that.

Speaker 3 (43:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Man, the cam police just cannot get it together.

Speaker 1 (43:16):
Anything else that came out last night that we should
be aware of.

Speaker 11 (43:22):
Just one other thing about Brian Higgins is his timeline.
He stated that he arrived back home and broked in
around one in the morning. But we see him on
the video camera at one thirty four, still at the
Campon Police department, and it takes he said, it takes
about fifteen twenty minutes to get home. Add a little
snow to it might be a little longer, so he
didn't get home until most likely after two in the morning.

(43:45):
So little things like that, there's no reason to lie
about things like that.

Speaker 1 (43:49):
Oh, if you're innocent, there's absolutely no no reason to
lie about that. And little here's the thing, little things
like that are going to add up.

Speaker 3 (43:56):
They are adding up. I got a question, basically, whatever
happened to the lead investigator, Remember the lead investigator who
was found to be lying on stands? I think that yes,
And then he was supposed to he was supposed to
go before some kind of a board to see whether
he was going to keep his job.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
That was last week or the week before, I believe,
did he keep us job?

Speaker 3 (44:17):
They got rescheduled?

Speaker 11 (44:19):
Did he get rescheduled? Basically they went the whole day uh,
and they need more time. So February tenth is the
next UH hearing for him, and then after that they'll
they'll most likely make a decision. It will get passed
up to the colonel, and then the colonel ultimately has
the final say whether you know, he loses vacation days
he gets fired in vacation to.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
Get fired the text alone or just but yes, it
is crazy.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
They all they all did something really really white. This
guy's dumping phones at an army barrackses or something like that.
I'm like military basis. I'm like, why are you doing that?

Speaker 5 (44:59):
Bro?

Speaker 1 (45:00):
It's yeah, it's crazy. Okay, So Nick, what's next? What
do we got next?

Speaker 11 (45:06):
She's got caught at the end of the month to
go over the Richard Green, which is the hawk long
to Die Google search expert. They want to bring him in,
uh to question him again, and then ultimately, you know,
still waiting on if the Commonwealth is going to file
a motion to exclude the ARCA experts which were hired
by the FBI. So still Hank Brennan is still trying

(45:30):
to exclude her experts. So that'll that'll be most likely
in the court dates coming up.

Speaker 1 (45:38):
Okay, just out of curiosity, I know Karen had you know,
she had sold her home and all the things, Like
is her full time job?

Speaker 5 (45:47):
Now?

Speaker 2 (45:48):
This is this?

Speaker 1 (45:50):
Like she can't possibly do anything else? I mean, is
this her day to day?

Speaker 11 (45:55):
I mean, she she's probably the most active defendant working
hand in hand with her lawyers that I've ever seen.
It's just it's incredible. I mean, you really can't work
because think about how many days you'd have to take
off from work and this and that. But one thing
that I want to say before we go, I'm going
to read a quote from Hank Brennan in August twenty eighteen.

(46:19):
This was where it's right out of his mouth. And
Hank Brennan is the new prosecutor on the Karen Reid case.
It's impossible to have a fair trial when there's police
reports and evidence that contradict witnesses. That was a statement
he made after for during the Whitey Bulger case.

Speaker 2 (46:37):
God, oh my god. Well that's I.

Speaker 11 (46:41):
Don't know if he knows what's going to happen in
this case, but it's pretty much the same thing.

Speaker 1 (46:45):
Yeah, it pretty much is all right, Nick, Well, as always,
thank you so much. We'll be in contact and like
he said, Karen is expected in court at the end
of the month, so obviously we'll have Nick back on.

Speaker 8 (46:56):
Then.

Speaker 3 (46:57):
How do you have a life like after this entire
thing like this?

Speaker 4 (47:00):
I know where you can go back to work, because
then it follows you there and everything like that.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
You got a casey, Anthony.

Speaker 1 (47:05):
You gotta move, You have to you gotta move, You
got to start over, You got to get a new job.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
All the things, and if she gets found completely not
guilty in all the charges, she can believe you know
what I mean, she can really make that into something,
could books, interviews, you know, she can sue the state,
she can sue the police department. Yeah, she can really
make it like worth a while. But right now I'm wondering,
like how you even paying fifteen thousand dollars for an
expert of That's.

Speaker 1 (47:25):
Where a Nick Roco comes into play, and he has
a Facebook page. Every time I'm on there, it's like,
hey guys, we're doing another raffle. Hey guys, she doesn't
have the money. She doesn't. It's it's it's people that
believe that she is innocent. Yeah, and I mean she's
had to move back in with her parents, like she's
she has to do these things just to stay afloat.
And it's people's donations and stuff that are helping her

(47:47):
to be able to you know.

Speaker 3 (47:49):
And that was first one. Now she has to go
through this entire thing again again. It's double the price.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
It's crazy.

Speaker 1 (47:54):
If you missed any of that with Nick Rocco, you
can catch up via the podcast just down the free
iHeartRadio app, and especially.

Speaker 5 (48:04):
When you need to know.

Speaker 6 (48:06):
We got you three things you need to know on
Boston's number one for hip hop and the best throwbags.
You haven't any more five.

Speaker 1 (48:14):
Move over, Karen Friday, January twenty fourth. We're going to court,
not with Karen Reid, with Drabrill Pepper's.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
He was in court yesterday.

Speaker 1 (48:22):
Pled guilty to one charge of propossafid.

Speaker 4 (48:27):
What's when I talk about cocaine?

Speaker 1 (48:31):
I got all excited possessing cocaine. Listen, he admits to
the judge. Yeah, that little powdery substance found in my wallet.
That was blow and he's dealing with that. He's trying
to get this one taken care of because he's got
bigger charges that he's looking at. So after that guilty plea,
the judge said, listen, remain drug free, stay out of
trouble for the next four months, and that will be

(48:52):
dealt with. As for those other charges, counts of strangulation,
assault and battery, basically his exies saying he strangled me,
he hit my head against a wall, he sent me
outside naked, all because of them having a disagreement about
using a condom or not whilst having sexuals now. Jabrill
Pepper's attorney is saying he is innocent and I'm gonna

(49:16):
prove it because we have video footage. We heard a
little bit of it. They were arguing, he was saying,
get your clothes and get out. They also said on
the news that the Patriot players and sometimes athletes are
coached up to Hey, if you're in the midst of
an argument, get your phone out recorded.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
That way, you have proof, you have evidence.

Speaker 1 (49:35):
I know Robert Kraft has said if any of the
things here are true, he is gone. But we're gonna
kind of wait it out and see what happens in court.
They selected a jury yesterday at least it began, so
hopefully we'll have an answer rather soon.

Speaker 4 (49:49):
If you think about it, the Patriots top to bottom
have gotten into a lot of trouble, from the owner
all the way down to the receivers.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
It's always something. Yeah, it's really always something with the Patriots.
It's wild.

Speaker 2 (49:59):
All right, let's move on.

Speaker 1 (50:00):
People are selling their iPhones because of TikTok. If you
haven't heard about this, some people are selling their phones
for upwards of twenty five thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (50:10):
Ash.

Speaker 1 (50:10):
Wait, why I don't get it. So d Day when
TikTok disappeared and it was gone. A lot of these
influencers and people were so mad and so upset that
they deleted it off of their phone because they were like,
I don't even want to see the app because it
will make me sad to see it because it no
longer exists. And then seven hours later a poof DT

(50:32):
was like, oh no, TikTok's coming back.

Speaker 2 (50:34):
I love TikTok, he said.

Speaker 1 (50:36):
And those people that deleted the app off of their
phone can no longer acquire it because you cannot download
it in the app store anymore. So these iPhones are
being sold because they already have the app downloaded.

Speaker 2 (50:50):
So people are like, oh my god, I need TikTok
backs so badly.

Speaker 1 (50:53):
They're willing to pay twenty five thirty thirty five forty
thousand dollars for a phone that already has the.

Speaker 3 (50:59):
App downloaded on it. Somebody comes seeing me, I got
both my phones going off. They both have TikTok and
they got cap cut too, Yeah, which is another one
that a lot of people wanted that they deleted. And
I got you just you know, slapped me some respectable
I ain't gonna charge you fifty thousand, but just come respectful.
I'll give you.

Speaker 1 (51:16):
I will charge twenty five thousand dollars. I got TikTok
and you can have my photos.

Speaker 3 (51:20):
Okay, that's all your photos. To cut the check. I'll
cut the check now because she has in there. It's work.

Speaker 2 (51:29):
You can have it twenty five k it's all your.

Speaker 5 (51:33):
Right.

Speaker 1 (51:33):
Lastly, this one's dual part very quickly. Kendrick lamar announcing
a quote surprise guest. I don't think anybody was too
shocked at this one. I'm not eve gonna play the
audio because you won't even hear her. But Sizza is
going to be Kendrick's surprise guest during his halftime show.
The Super Bowl fifty nine halftime show is happening soon
February ninth, right around the corner the games are this Sunday.

(51:53):
To find out who's going to be playing. Anybody else
other than says it, do we have any predictions?

Speaker 3 (52:00):
I don't know why. I feel like Wayne might make
it on them, man, I don't know why.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
After everything.

Speaker 3 (52:04):
It would be nice, yeah, but it would be nice
wishful thinking maybe, But if they do that, it's like
throwing him a bone. Though it doesn't feel right. Yes,
and that's why I'm saying wishful. Think. I don't even
know he would accept it because he felt so slighted.
But I think I think a lot of people from
TD What about if Drake touches that stage, that would
be amazing collapse for weeks, right, that's a conversation for weeks.
You know what, for weeks, I'll.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
Give you that one. Speaking of the super Bowl, I
feel like this is new age. Back when we were younger,
the Super Bowl ads were exclusive. You could only see
them sharing the super Bowl Now, which I'm about to
talk about. People leak their Super Bowl commercials early, like
this one from Taco Bell.

Speaker 3 (52:40):
This year, Taco Bell is making fans the stars of
their big gay man No so lifties.

Speaker 2 (52:45):
Did someone photobambas?

Speaker 5 (52:47):
Is that? Don't you?

Speaker 8 (52:48):
Kids?

Speaker 2 (52:48):
For the last time? No famous people, I want to
be in this act.

Speaker 1 (52:52):
It's come on, you gotta go no, yes, no, yes, no,
yes no.

Speaker 2 (52:59):
I'm not going to say it again. So if you
took a photo of one of our drive through camps,
you could be in our Big Game ad participants. Maybe
slightly famous, but not Dosha Cat famous. There you have it,
Doja Cat made it into the Taco Bell ad.

Speaker 3 (53:10):
Can I say sometimes when they do these ads and
they give us a tease of it, it really does
pay off though, Like I think so too. Yeah, Like
you know some ads, I'm thinking, like, you've already gave
us all the meat and potatoes, what else can you do?
But then when you watch the whole commercial June Super Bowl,
it's actually really really funny.

Speaker 1 (53:25):
So clearly Taco Bell had stations set up at some
of their Taco bells probably across the country.

Speaker 2 (53:29):
Oh take a selfie here at our selfie station.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
If I'm somebody that did that and I hear that,
I'm like, oh my god, I might be in a
Super Bowl ad, which is exciting.

Speaker 3 (53:38):
Was it last year when Ben and jan were in
the Super Bowl ad? Yeah? Last year. It's been a
year and they're already.

Speaker 2 (53:43):
Gone, already done.

Speaker 3 (53:43):
That's second need.

Speaker 2 (53:44):
Yeah, what ad?

Speaker 1 (53:45):
There's three things you did over Friday, Gan twenty four.
The Governor Ball in New York City is happening. It's
going to be the sixth through the eighth of June
with Tyler the Creator, Tyler T. Paine, Howsier, Olivia Rodrigo
just named a few and hopefully you six one seven
nine three one one nine four five collars twenty five.

Speaker 2 (54:04):
You're going to the Governor's Ball. Happy Friday.

Speaker 1 (54:07):
Baby Brent is in Manch and she is the winner
of our Governor's Ball tickets. She in fact might also
be our grand prize winner. We will know that later
on in the day. DJ Puptek has one last chance
for you to go and then he will announce the
grand prize winner.

Speaker 2 (54:23):
In his show.

Speaker 3 (54:24):
Five is possibly sure, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (54:26):
Yeah, definitely whenever. Whenever he feels up to it, that's
when he's gonna do it. But either way, today we
will know who our grand prize winner is going to be.

Speaker 2 (54:34):
In the meantime, let's check in with you. How are you?
What's going on?

Speaker 1 (54:38):
Uh six one seven nine three one one nine four five.
It's a Friday. I want to know what's going on
in your life. Tell me a story, Call and say hi,
ask for our opinion. Anything you want to talk about,
We'll do it right here. Sixty one seven nine three

Speaker 2 (54:53):
Come and say what up? It's the check In only
on JAM ninety four five.

Speaker 5 (54:56):
And the jam In Morning Show with d J. Fourn
It's sa A TV.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
Bustin's number one for hip hop. Heam in ninety four five. Hi, everybody,
good morning. We're doing the check in. We're checking in
on you, your life, your world.

Speaker 1 (55:11):
Six one seven nine three one one nine four five
six one seven nine three one one nine four five
call me because we're talking about anything you want, whatever
is going on in your world.

Speaker 2 (55:22):
Esther is in Brockton.

Speaker 1 (55:24):
She wants to tell everybody that her iPhone is for sale.

Speaker 2 (55:27):
You need the money? Why is that?

Speaker 10 (55:32):
Hi?

Speaker 4 (55:32):
Everyone?

Speaker 10 (55:33):
I need the money because like, I'm living in my
car and I really want to like do better and
I'm working, but it's still like I don't have enough
tape to get like an apartment.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
So yeah, so you have TikTok on your iPhone you're
willing to sell it?

Speaker 2 (55:50):
Uh, how much would you sell your iPhone for?

Speaker 10 (55:54):
I heard that I was talking about briceon earlier. I
would be like, not to push I'll be like twenty.

Speaker 3 (56:03):
K twenty time to push it. Not to push it.
Not to push it.

Speaker 2 (56:08):
Walk me through a day in the life.

Speaker 1 (56:11):
Walk me through a day in the life of living
in your car, like eating, showering, all the things.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
I want to know what this looks like?

Speaker 10 (56:19):
Well for being grateful. My job that I currently work,
I'm a security personnel, which means I'm the one who
opens up and closes down, right, So I come in
Most times I clocking out like nine, so I come
in at like eight, or sometimes I just park outside
to be honest, and I'll go in earlier. I'll bring

(56:40):
my towel with me. There's no shower in there, but
there's a think, so with my towel, just like run
the hot water, clean myself, you know, make sure I'm clean.
And then after like I love to loast some myself.
I'm walking through a day, right, I loaser myself up,
get ready, get ready for work, and then I sumpup

(57:01):
my my old clothes in my in my car like
when I took off, and then I'll go back. I'll
settle in for work and then I stay there. I
do my job chores until like five o'clock. Sometimes I
do stay a little later because it's the other stuff.
But then after that, sometimes my friends will be like, hey,

(57:24):
you can come over. It's fine, but it's just that,
like since I'm also living like on a really tight
like budget, it's hard for me to make it to
their house. Because of gas. You know, when when I'm
sleeping in my car, I have to leave it running
like overnight, and it's like forty five miles.

Speaker 2 (57:42):
Yeah, that's so. When is the last time you took
a hot, long shower?

Speaker 10 (57:49):
Next morning?

Speaker 1 (57:52):
You had a hell two years ago?

Speaker 2 (57:58):
This morning? What the house were you showering at?

Speaker 10 (58:02):
At a friend? At a friend's house. I mean, we
knew each other from like church.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
I don't need the background on them.

Speaker 1 (58:10):
I was just wondering, Okay, so at a friend's house,
you're able to take a shower this morning, that's good.

Speaker 2 (58:15):
Go ahead.

Speaker 3 (58:15):
Why are you homeless? What happened?

Speaker 10 (58:19):
Well, what happened was I was like living on my own.
At first, life was good and everything everybody loved after
and then something went bad. I lost everything, all my
savings and like all my furnitures, all my belongings lost,
house that like I thought was also mine, but it wasn't.

(58:43):
So then I had to move back to my dad's house.
Was like almost nothing, But I didn't quite just go
straight to my dog's house. I drove all the way
down to Florida to go like get away from the chaos,
to stay with my brother for a little bit. But
then my like my dear friends kind of passed away.
So I was like like obligated to come back up here.
So I did, and then I went out. I had

(59:05):
to talk with my dad, so he said I could
stay or whatever, that I just have to get a
job so I could pay him rent or whatever by
certain amount of time. I was like, okay, Dad, I'm
gonna do my best, but I do have like this
tiny legal issue for fighting my sister, my.

Speaker 11 (59:18):
Older sister I am.

Speaker 10 (59:20):
So it was hard for me to kind of like
get a job. But when I did, I was very
very very very grateful.

Speaker 1 (59:27):
You know why, by the way, you have a job now,
So why aren't you at Dad's house?

Speaker 2 (59:31):
You can pay rent?

Speaker 10 (59:32):
No, So then get to the good gist of the story.
So I got a job, and then like two three
weeks went by. I didn't tell no its because every
time I get an interview, I tell you, and you don't,
I don't get the job. So I didn't tell them,
and then I got the job. I went to work
for like two three weeks, and that was like New
Year's like like Christmas ish like New Year's Day. I

(59:56):
came home, there was like a new way call on
the parking lot type and then like I'm like, hu,
that's odd Okay. Then I parked. Then I went back
to work, king went back home, and then my dad's
car is on my spot and the new car that
was on the compound is now on my like on
my dad's parking spot. So I'm like, wait, where am
I supposed to park? Like? Well, so I went and I.

Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
Parked, rest.

Speaker 10 (01:00:19):
I parked. I'm sorry, like two more minutes I'll be
doing with the store.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
We don't got you, we got case.

Speaker 10 (01:00:29):
So I went parking for the garage and they're like,
he didn't tell me anything. And then like one day,
I took my brother to the store and then I
called him. It was like sixty m or whatever. Magin
my dad gets up to go to work at one
to two am.

Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
So what, thank god, thank god she cursed by ast guys.
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
What I usually feel bad.

Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
I was very close to being like we did a
good thing yesterday, We're gonna do it the day. When's
the last time you took a hot shower this morning?
That's not how you sell side.

Speaker 4 (01:01:00):
I feel like she's the type of person that can
control her situation and just always goes.

Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
So I'm not sure is she is she living in
the car, like what's going on?

Speaker 3 (01:01:10):
That's that's what she said. It sounds like it because
she says she she she runs the call the whole day,
I mean all night, which makes sense, and then she
does it. She only she only takes a sink shot.

Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
The thing is, is she that was tough.

Speaker 1 (01:01:22):
She has places to go, but it seems like she's
burned a few bridges. Might she has Dad's house, he said,
pay rent. There's nothing wrong with dad. I think she
should pay rent. But then she beat the sister up.

Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
I'm trying to.

Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
Got to be a good tenant.

Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
That was crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
And by the way, guys, if if you've you've gone
long and I say, hey, we don't have much more time,
and you say two whole more minutes.

I wasn't like I just kinly kidding, but but really,
if somebody had twenty five thousand dollars cash and they
were like, here for your phone, I mean, you can't

Every morning I take my morning photo I'm leaving.

Speaker 2 (01:03:17):
The house.

Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
Behind me is a U haul box and two bins.
Now that is because the bathroom is being redone where
my closet is all my belongings are in there, and
there's no point in me unboxing and then reboxing and
all the things. So many people have reached out to
me about that U Haul box and they're like, Ash,
you need to get somebody to sketch that thing, and

(01:03:38):
you can hang a photo of the U Haul box
on the wall, because it really has become such a staple.
If the bathroom is finished this weekend, which there's a possibility,
I'm burning that U Haul box. I am literally lighting
it on fire. I can't look at it again. And yeah,
it might be older than Daisy, actually I think it is.

Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
But that wall is really nice. That's a nice wall,
and I.

Speaker 2 (01:03:57):
Can't wait for you guys to see it's a nice
brick wall. I think it's be sick. It's just what
am I going to do? I don't have a bathroom.

And the flooring is well is awesome. Laid that down?

Speaker 1 (01:04:09):
I would we gotta Yeah, but yeah, so someone multiple
people have really said you should take one of your
morning photos, print it and put it.

Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
On the walls.

Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
But you all box never leaves. Aren't we read out
of time?

Speaker 11 (01:04:21):
You know?

Speaker 3 (01:04:22):

Speaker 5 (01:04:23):

Speaker 1 (01:04:24):

do it for us. On a Friday, we're getting up
out of here. Santia has to hit the mountains.

Speaker 3 (01:04:38):

Speaker 4 (01:04:39):
So if you see me on the slopes with the
seven year old trailer behind, that's me all weekend, No,
just just today, okay, yeah, loving it.

Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
So hype whole outfit drip probably costs how much?

Speaker 4 (01:04:51):
About five hundred bucks? No, yeah, that's like one hundred bucks.
It's to just two fifty for the jacket, two hundred
for the dance. Well then everything under it's also about
it over a thousand. Yeah, it's like almost too much clothing,
the clothes.

Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
So what is wrong then when I buy a pair
of boots that cost that money?

Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
Like, what what difference to you and I have? None?

Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
Well, I think mine have a tactical purpose. Well, you're
using for.

Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
Do you see my product boots?

Speaker 1 (01:05:18):
Those things are warlike, but you also wear them, you
wear them in the snow, anyways, what are we.

Speaker 3 (01:05:24):
Doing that hot on tonight? And then tomorrow we have
venue at DJ for and full more details.

Speaker 1 (01:05:32):
I'm finally which because I've been saying this for forever
that I'm like, I'm going to make time for myself.
I'm going to make time for myself and I never
do because I've always rushed home and I have mom
guilt and all these things.

Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
But I am going to get a hydrofacial today and.

Speaker 1 (01:05:47):
An iv I've talked about these guys before, but I'm
going to ageless wayless. Uh My girl, Audrey Rose is
like the best of the best. Also not just for
hydrofacials and IVY. She does botox, she does skinny shot,
all of the things. I just you know, I'm breastfeeding,
so my options are limited.

Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
But once my boobs are dried up, you guys might
not even recognize you. Whose that is? She happy?

Speaker 5 (01:06:13):

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
She said? We don't know? Her face doesn't move.

Speaker 1 (01:06:17):
Anyways, Audrey, I'm coming and everybody else. If I missed
anything at Ashley Feldman twee's on the Ashley. I don't
want to get emotional, but I just want to say
there's no other show, no other show in Boston. That
is buying coffee for somebody who says, hey, I love
coffee and I only can afford to buy one a week.
So you guys are just the best, and I appreciate
every single one of you, everybody that sent Coffee Girl

(01:06:39):
five bucks to go get a coffee.

Speaker 2 (01:06:40):
