Speaker 1 (00:00):
Actually ended jam in Morning Show with DJ four and
it's Saunty.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
When you need to know, No, we got you three
things you need to know on Buston's number one for
hip hop and the best throwbacks you haven't any more
five Monday, Jan twenty seven, and it's official, guys. The
Super Bowl is set. Not not without a little bit
of controversy, of course, but it's going to be the
Eagles and the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
It's happening.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
The Eagles beating the Commanders fifty five to twenty three.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
I always want to say the Redskins. It's really hard
because I can't.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
It's like with Twitter, I'm never gonna call it X
because growing up it was just always one thing. But
the Commanders, Yeah, that was a blowout. That game was
actually a little bit boring.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
It definitely was.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
And I'm not shocked at the Eagles won though, but
it was good to see the Commanders make it.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
This fifty five twenty three sounds like a women's basketball scorer,
Like that's crazy. Then obviously the Chiefs game. That was
the game Chiefs Bills thirty two, twenty nine. Before we
talk about the controversy, listen to how happy Travis Kelcey
is after the game.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Never satisfied. Baby, when you're playing in front of.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Arrowhead Stadium like this every single AFC.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Championship You kidding me, Kansas, sit up all right before
you gots get out of here, just doing here that
make a little love.

Speaker 5 (01:23):
Get down to that.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Him and Taylor kissing after the game four and it
was a time. Now remember in twenty twenty three there's
photos of them after the championship as well.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
So now we really know confirmed they've been.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Together for well over a year because if she was
down on the field and they're kissing during that time, that,
I mean, we're we could.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Be going on two for all we know.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
And this year she's gonna be at the game like
full time because last year, remember she had to fly
back from Japan.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Oh trust me, we were doing flight trackers for that thing. Yeah,
so there's no question she will be in New Orleans.
I say without controversy because there's a first down play
there that pretty much change the trajectory of the game
because the Chiefs went on to get their game winning
touchdown win the game.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Going to the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Dave Portnoy said that he believes the refs from that
game should be jailed, like put in prison.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
He said he's not watching the NFL anymore. It looked
like a first down to me.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
It definitely was, as in the Bills were going forward
on fourth and whatever it was, they get that first down,
they continue on. They could have gone down and scored
game over, but instead Chiefs take over Mahomes scores.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
This lents to the whole thing behind the scenes where
like all the refs in the NFL are for the
Chiefs and all stuff. This goes back a couple of
years and like, yeah, they're very cautious with Pat Mahomes.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
People do feel as if the Chiefs get every single call. Yeah,
that they protect Pat Mahomes.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
But I feel like it kind of goes with any
sport when that one team is dominating. And Tom had
it here too, like, yeah, like the NFL protects them
and like the refs have their back a bit.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Oh Tom looked nice, yes today, Yeah, he always looks nice.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
When when does he not look My mom doesn't think
he's a great commentator.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
She did tell me that.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
He's getting better better, but I understand. Yeah, Romo was amazing.
Tony like has such a take on the game, that's
so specific to him.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Hilarious that you say that because Dave Portnoy said he
thought he thinks he's terrible.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
I loved him.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
I only say that because it was in Dave's video
of him talking about that.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
He also said Tony Romo should be jailed.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Tony has an ability to like kind of get the
formation and kind of predict what the play is going
to be.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
So it's really interesting.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
I enjoy the theory of having these guys who have
played the sport and excel at it telling me what's
going on during it. But with that being said, not
everybody has that special factor to be able to then regurgitate.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
It to me, like some guys are just football guys.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Tom's problem is that he's too technical with a lot
of the stuff that goes over a lot of people's heads.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Yeah, that's why.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
And I know what you guys are gonna say, because
I love Travis Kelsey so much, But that's why I
low he enjoy watching Jason every time he's up there,
Travis's brother, it would be like one of us doing
He's not polished by any means. He cursed one of
the days, but it's just easy to digest and understand
what he's saying. This super Bowl, speaking of Jason, will
be a rematch, because remember Super Bowl fifty seven, the

(04:16):
Chiefs beat the Eagles thirty eight thirty five. I actually
always remember their mother wearing a jersey that was a
half for half Chiefs half Eagles.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
She won't have to do that because Jason's retired. But
it's exciting. That's listen.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
This is always a weird thing because my hometown of
Colleings with New Jersey, we grew up Eagles fans. But
I'll want the Chiefs to win just because I love
the tailors.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
I just love it.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I was so excited to see what you I just
love it. I couldn't wait to see what she was
gonna wear. I don't care what anybody says. It was
Louis Vuitton head to toe. She had the red lipstick on,
she had the red tights. They're kissing, she's theson.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I'm in the blitches they're living in. Yeah, you don't
know what I said, either do why?

Speaker 2 (05:04):
But if you heard the sun, they're living it and
it's just so cute.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
So, uh, there you have it.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Eagles Chiefs February ninth, in New Orleans Kendrick Lamar performing
at halftime.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
No, Lil Wayne, that's it that we know that we
know of all right?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Asap Rocky's felony assault trials started on Friday. Did we
see the clip of him walking in and people trying
to record him?

Speaker 5 (05:29):
Bro, Like he knows he's a super public trying to
bum rush and throw people off you. That's not a
good look.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Beyond that, it's an assault. That's what I'm saying. You're
assaulting people. Relax.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
I get it though, like you might be going to
jail for you might be getting some serious time. You
don't want cameras in your face all the things, but
you can't be assaulting people for a felony assault trial.
On the way in, he was upset pushing people out
of the way just.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
Just he wouldn't which I get it that they're invading
your but you're on camera of all things, and like
you said, you are there for assault here being aggressive.
People are gonna already judge and be like, well, yep,
he did it.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
And you know what's wild too, is like he knows
this to be true, And I feel bad saying it
because I know he's his own person and I know
he's his own things, but he that's Rihanna's husband, Like really,
I mean, and there's cameras out there just because of her,
like trying. Oh there, there's Rihanna, right, and he might

(06:29):
be going to so it's gonna put even more eyes
on him. And this trial it just is what it is.
She by the way, not there.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
She's not there.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
She's not there. No trial starts, I can imagine she's
going to be right behind him, right.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
It just looks good, this one says.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
So far, what we've learned is the defense is claiming
that Asap was carrying a starter's pistol that his security
told him to carry in order to fend off possible attacks.
Prosecution is obviously trying to prove that he shot a
sap relly all the way back in twenty twenty one.
They believe sometimes they'll try to predict how long it

(07:06):
will be, that the trial will only last about three
weeks if convicted, twenty four years, guys, if convicted.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Twenty four years in jail.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Because remember he rejected We talked about this last week.
He rejected a plea deal and it was it was
a really good one that got put in front of him,
which obviously then lends to our theory of they must
have some sort of something in their back pocket that
they are confident because twenty four.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Years, I mean he'll miss he'll literally miss his kids
growing up.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
I mean there's video, that's the only thing. How are
they going to come back in jail?

Speaker 3 (07:41):
I actually stand it for him. Rihanna's money is too long.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
They're not going to let that happen.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Yeah, all right, this is awful and it's super sad.
Dj Unk who gave us back in the day, back
in the day, which is crazy to say too in
the two thousands some of the crazy anthems of our
literal childhood, the one I'm playing right now.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Here's a clip walk it out that binds me of

(08:24):
growing up.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
And he of course is also famous for the two step.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
They're going into scale scale scale scale.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
No, this is like I hear this and I I
I'm taking I'm taking back to like legit times in
my childhood. But yeah, he died, and I I say
our childhood because then you can realize how young he was.
I mean, he was just in his early forties, died
of a heart attack. His wife and his label confirmed
it was with a heavy heart and profound sadness that
we announced the passing of a true at l legend,

(09:11):
Anthony Platt, better known as dj Unk. Heart attacks for
men at a young age is like we're hearing more about.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
This and that like that kills me. I mean that
you that's your age.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
No, I know, That's why I'm crazy about all about
all these things.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Do you know how many times a week I think
I'm having a heart attack on?

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Yeah, it's crazy. Yeah, that's yeah. Well I'm not going
to Yes, that is why you're crazy about certain things.
I still you're not going to do the bodybuilding. I'm
not still not I'm still not going.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
To support that. That's different.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
But but yeah, I'm telling you, I feel like I
read more and more about young guys, young men having
these heart attacks by the way out of the blues,
like seemingly extremely healthy, and then this is happening.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Well, the unfortunate thing is when you go for your
physical they don't really check the heart issues. They have
a conversation. They do like a broad scan of you
and a you know what I mean. They don't get
in there deep. And I feel like that's an issue
with like medicine this day and age.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Anytime I see something like this, I always think like
we're there signs, But a lot of times there aren't,
Like there really aren't. So thoughts and prayers to the family.
