Speaker 1 (00:01):
Especially in the jam In Morning Show with DJ fourn
It's Saunty.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
When you need to know, we got you three things
you need to know on Bunton's number one for hip
hop and the best throwbags you haven't any more? Five
all right, Friday, April fourth, but most importantly Opening Day,
so time.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Here in the city.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
The Red Sox are gonna be taken on the Cardinals
at two ten. It's sixty degrees out there, it's gonna
be cloudy.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
It couldn't be more perfect for Opening Day.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
Like, honestly, if you're a pitcher, this is absolutely well,
a little bit chillier than you want, but it's actually
perfect though. That way you get nice and warm and loose.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
What's going on with the Red Sox? Like, tell us
about the season this year? What we should expect.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
The Red Sox on paper could be one of the
best offensive teams in baseball. They have the best prospect
in baseball right now. He's in Triple A, but he's
gonna get the call like any day. Like on paper,
there lineup one through nine looks really really good. Their
biggest issue is they don't have the pitching to win
the World Series. They have the team to make it
to the playoffs, so they'll be good, but they're not
gonna win it.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Because in baseball, like you gotta have multiple pitchers that
are amazing.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
So the way the rotation works is that there's five
pitchers they pitch every five days, and there's relief pitchers.
They don't have a good solid they have a foundation,
but they don't have an all around like pitching staff
that's gonna take them like all the way because in baseball,
like you can have offense and you can score a
ton of runs, at the end of the day, you
need pitching to keep the other team's runs down.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Because I don't know, baseball is that well a shock
to no one. Who's like an all star pitcher. Who's
the best pitcher in the in the major leagues right now?
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Yeah, I would probably say Garrett Cole for the Yankees,
but he's out for this year because he had Tommy Johns,
so he's kind of out, So I would say, like,
he's probably the best picture in baseball.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I was wondering if I'd recognize the name.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
I don't know, Well, I was, okay, Paul Skins. Paul
Skins is a pitcher for the Pirates, last year he
was a rookie.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Yeah, this year.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
In the next few years, he's gonna be the greatest
pitcher in baseball. He is that amazing. So watching him
is really fun.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Okay, off to check him out.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Yeah, either it's just Opening Day in the city has
a different there's a different vibe, there's something in the air.
It's just a time everybody likes to talk about the
food that's inside a fenway. They usually change it up
every year. This year they're leaning into the comfort foods.
Carnita stacos, chowder and a bread bowl, grilled cheese and
crinkle cut fries. They said, they want to take you
(02:20):
back to the old days, being a kid getting a
fribble with some crinkleed cat.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
You know who is going to be excited about that.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Raffi Devers, who used to play a third base with
the Red Sox now he's a DH came back this
offseason looking a little bit hefty, and he started the
year off for twenty one with sixties strikeouts.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
My man has been eating food.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Down in the d We love a thick boy.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Yeah, when they pay you three dollars, that's true.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
So that game again starts at two ten baseball season
is here. When Fenway does opening Day, they do it up.
So if you get to go to the game, that's amazing.
But more so, I feel like once baseball season has arrived,
this summer is on the way.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
It's exciting.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Hot dog all right, people?
Speaker 2 (03:00):
We got ten seeded two from Tuesday, five more yesterday,
I'm sorry, five more on Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Then the next day would be Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Five on Wednesday yesterday, three more on Thursday for total
of ten. We need twelve and then we still need
four alternates. But I think this is important. I'm talking
about Karen Reid. If you're if you're like, the hell's
she talking about? I think it's important because we thought
it was going to take a while to even get one. Yeah,
I said end of May. I thought it would take
(03:29):
that long. We might be deep into the retrial end
of May.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
This trial could start by next week, right, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
I definitely think it could.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
I don't think we'll finish up the jury selection today.
I am interested because we're gonna be talking to Nick
Rocco today. I know there's not a ton for him
to kind of chat with us, but I would like
to know how Karen and the team kind of feels
just up until today of how the jury selection is going.
I mean, clearly ten people seated, that's pretty big news. Yeah,
(03:55):
questions are they asking in there? Does Karen feel good
about it? Remember we had a clipouts of Karen outside
of court where she was eating pickle chips on her
way in.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
I think she seems very relaxed.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Yeah, she seems like she's just chilling having a snack.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Well, I guess one would say bubble in my throat.
So weird when that happens, especially when you do this,
you know. I guess some would say, well, when you're innocent,
you can have pickles.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
Yeah, But I feel like if I were and I'm
just saying this with me, like personally, if I'm innocent
and I'm going through this again, I'm an I'm a
nervous for the entire time.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, but that's my nature.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
Shouldn't you exude confidence? Don't you should?
Speaker 6 (04:32):
Like?
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Absolutely?
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Yeah, Like I guess, bother me.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
It's more so, you know how people have been talking
about you post that documentary, how they feel like you're unlikable.
Now this man died, you're going back for a retrial.
They're trying to figure out who did it? And you're
eating pickle chips in the way.
Speaker 5 (04:49):
The way I'd feel is that it's not it's not
y'all here who's looking at me judging me. It's the
you know, the six to twelve people in that court
room that I am going to have to judge me.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Yeah, so let me get my snacky in before I
go inside.
Speaker 5 (05:00):
Yeah, I wouldn't care. And I'm paying Matt money for
these lawyers. Nah, I don't care what you think. I'm
gonna eat my chips.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
Yeah, eat my fickle chips. What time is deck Roca
coming on?
Speaker 5 (05:11):
All right?
Speaker 3 (05:11):
So seven thirty, we'll talk to Nick.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
We'll see how they feel about tenders being seated as
they get ready to go back in court today. All right,
it was a huge story yesterday. I think we got
on top of it pretty quick. We know that Yay
had dropped a new album called World War Three, and
even one of his songs made it to Apple. That
was the big question was where any of his songs
(05:34):
gonna make it to streaming for Did you listen to
a little bit of that?
Speaker 5 (05:37):
I haven't been able to find it at all.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Oh that's so weird.
Speaker 5 (05:40):
Yeah, I've looked everywhere. I can't find it. I don't
know what he posted it.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Yeah, it's it's it's on Apple Music, So I would
assume then, well.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
The single is there's a single, yeah, which came out,
which is kind of weird because when I look at
the date of when that single dropped, it dropped last
last month.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:55):
Yeah, so that was just a single called w W three.
Everything else I can find them.
Speaker 6 (05:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
And by the way, that one's not safe for work.
I just want to say that that one's certainly not
safe for work. But some of the titles on the
album Bianca Cosby, Freedom, Hitler, Yea, and Jesus. We played
this song yesterday, the Bianca song, and that is the
one that really went. People are talking about the fact
that he references multiple things in the relationsship, one of
(06:20):
which is that she tried to have him committed. She
also got crazy anxiety and panic attacks when he would tweet.
But seemingly if you listen to the song, it does
sound like him and Bianca aren't together. However, academics had said, well,
he's just telling the story that happened. At one point
they they're okay, So we don't really know what the
status is with Bianca and Yay.
Speaker 6 (06:41):
But I'll tell you this on on her side, Biaka
just want you to come back, come batin me to
make him back.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
And just watch it.
Speaker 6 (07:01):
Can come back, come back to me.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
I I want you to come back to me. I
want you to come back, my baby.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
She ran away, but brn, she's trying to give me committed.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
Y'all going to the hospital because I'm.
Speaker 6 (07:14):
Not saying that.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Joe, You're not get good.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
She want me to sail when I finished, I'm making
a skirt.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
When I'm in it.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
She's having a panic attack and she ain't the like
and no wayter not tweeted and Joe the yank is back.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
I stay up on that.
Speaker 6 (07:25):
I'm not going to snave.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
I really don't know where she's at. I'm tracking mys
do an app.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
I'm tracking my bush.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
To the city.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
I guess we did.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Newcassie and Diddy. I'm making in the shop of the yanker.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
I'm feeling the state of the Donda.
Speaker 5 (07:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
So basically, she was like, you need to commit yourself
when you just figure this out, to go away, and
he was like, I'm not sick, I'm not going away.
Then he started tweeting she got panic attacks. He's basically saying,
I don't know where she is, but I'm trying to
track her on an app. Compares the relationship to Cassie
and Diddy. So again, this could just be music. This
could be him talking about a certain time with them
(07:59):
and then they're back together now. But in that recent
interview with Academics, Bianca was nowhere to be found.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
And she usually is, she's usually around.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Speaking of Academics, he's the last one who have done,
who has done like a sit down with Yay.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Remember it was crazy.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
He walks in Yays in regular clothes, he changes into
the like iced out swastika chain, he puts on the.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Black KKK robe and uh.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Academics was interviewed by TMZ and they just said to him, listen,
like remember when they asked him how he was able
to like kind of take it serious.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
And he's like, well, he did warn me, and he
made it clear.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
When he speaks to me, he's like when he was
speaking to me, he's coherent, Like he is, he's making
coherent thoughts. You might not necessarily agree with them, but
ac made it seem like he's like, Yay is fine. Yays, yeay,
he you know, but they were like, fine, how does
he think he's going to sell music?
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Who does he think he's selling music to? No one's
gonna be able to see past that stuff.
Speaker 7 (08:56):
How do you plan to continue in music if you
know you're going against these people or you're putting out
images or whatever that maybe say a live nation might
not want to do business with you.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
Where how are you going to go on a tour
without them?
Speaker 7 (09:10):
How you let's say Spotify doesn't want your stuff up there,
which they haven't said they don't. But what he told
me directly, he said, listen, God instilled him that he'll
find a way. And this is why I think he's
not trying to go with anything that he supposedly doesn't
want to go with.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
He's like, Yo, all these images.
Speaker 7 (09:30):
I want to do and if anyone can't handle it,
I'll figure out a way to put it out.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
Have you seen the couple by the way potential cover
the game? The game posted it in it? Yeah, And
she's in a red cape and he's in a white
cape with the swat stake and anything bro like it's crazy.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
For some reason, to God, he's speeling on a lot
of hate towards a group, to people. And the other
thing is when any when anybody says anything about him,
he takes it so personal, even something so like super small,
so like which is unfair.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Go ahead and project your stuff, but you gotta be right.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
And for him, it's the smallest thing that somebody will do.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Yeah, God is gonna find a way for him, though
I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (10:12):
I don't think.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
I don't think.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
I don't think.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
I don't think.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Jesus walked.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Yeah, like it's a big it's a left, it's a
big month for Jesus. He's not thinking about you. He's not.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
That's three things need to know for Friday, April to fourth.
