Speaker 1 (00:00):
Nancy, especially in the gym. In morning show with DJ
Foreign it's Santi.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
When you need to.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
Know, let me know.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
We got you.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
Three things you need to know on Buston's number one
for hip hop and the best throwbags you haven't any
more five.
Speaker 4 (00:15):
I'm very proud to be a part of the Chicken
Tendy history.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
This is probably one of the biggest events in my life,
next to marrying my wife, my kids in my ten
years of sobriety. Friday, April eighteenth, Can you imagine celebrating
at the Puritan back room and their fifty years of
creation of the Chicken Tender is comparable to ten years
of sobriety, birth of his children and marrying his wife.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
For Mike, the situation Sarantino, I love.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Chicken Tender, loves them.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
I understand that they're good, But to love them that much,
it's crazy. You know what it is?
Speaker 4 (00:50):
I'm the chicken tender is.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
In my humbled opinion, it's universal. Adults will lead them.
It is kids will lead them most. It's not one
of those foods where it's like a lot of people
a lot of people like it.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
It's a pretty like in the middle of the pack. Food.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
But I would never go out to dinner and order
like the tenders.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
I would never.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
I'm in a tender era, not for myself, but for
they love, So I'm ordering tends everywhere. That's why when
Foreign described them like damn, I gotta try because I can't.
I can't help but take a bite and listen.
Speaker 4 (01:17):
There are bad tenders out there. Yeah, they are too
much breading, enough chicken.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
And it's funny because I'm reading this story, I'm seeing
the videos of the Jersey Shorecasts and Manach and I
remember that Forum went and celebrated one of the boys
birthdays at the back room.
Speaker 5 (01:32):
We've celebrated there actually a few times. Yeah, the boys birthdays,
my people's birthdays. It was a spot where we used
to go to a lot. I don't go there as
often as I used to. I go there for ice
cream though, whenever I guess walm out, I'm going over
there for mint chocolate chip. They got the best one
because I came to find out that not all mint
chocolate chip ice cream is green.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
Okay, ye, no green greenam I like to agree myself.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
You also said they're legendary for their mud slides, which
is a Celtimate.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
They mud slides.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
They only limit you to two per table, so you know,
I'm I'm saying, if you want the little hack, you
go have two at the ball and then go have
another two at the at your table when you're eating dinner.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
You might not walk out of there. They're pretty stut not.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
To let this combo get away from itself. But I like,
I'm not kidding.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
I love mudslides and I usually will get one in
the summer no matter where we are. If it's on
the menu, you will never I have to have the
back rooms to try it, but you will never find
a better mud slide than the Gazebo in Nantucket.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
You get off the ferry.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
The gazebo is a legendary bar right there in downtown Nantucket,
and you get yourself a mud slide and not a
ton experience. Just saying, all right, So anyways, the back
room was the home of the Chicken Tender. They said
they created it fifty years ago, so obviously the Jersey
cast had to go there and celebrate the guy known
as Nick Levelle, who is foreign the tender town elected official.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
I don't know if you knew that you guys had
that in match.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
He said, it represents who we are as people were sweet,
we're salty, and the best part about the chicken tender
is it brings the people together.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
So they're trying to say that chicken tender is only
fifty years old, Yeah, that they created. It's that sound
It doesn't sound right right, like like my parents are
older than chicken Tendo's.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Is a chicken tender chicken finger the same thing? Yes, yes, okay,
but chicken fingers have been around forever, That's.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
What I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
How do you know because you haven't been around Emily four,
I hear certain things. I'm like, wait, that was only
invented years ago.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
So Contenda's only five years older than Sanz.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Yeah, Like they weren't like right, so in nineteen seventy
one they were That doesn't make sense, Like seventy three
they weren't there?
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Ye like that?
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Oh they weren't like that.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
They weren't.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
They weren't. Uh the situation was there? Snookie was there,
Ronnie Pauli d obviously? Who else? Who am I missing?
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Jay Wow?
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Was there? Dino was there?
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Sammy?
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Sammy was not, but she's pregnant, so that could be
why she's not there.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Now.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
The big question is what are they going to be doing?
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Say, the amount of people outside screaming and yelling for them,
it was crazy.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
It was like a mob scene.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, but you noticed that they didn't show a lot
of them because half of them were homeless.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Yeah, they were very fatigue camera work because it man.
Speaker 5 (04:02):
Yes, they gave They walked from the park, Yes, zombie,
they way down the street to bear it in backgrounds.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Free tend does, yes, and they just came in a wave.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
I did notice that the Jersey Shore cast got in
that black van quick. There wasn't a lot of games outside.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Uh. DJ poly d is going to be at Memoir tonight.
He's going to be djying.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
Uh So obviously they'll be there tonight.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
If you want to check them out, I'm so jealous
if you get to meet them. I'm tired of a Dwayne.
Dwayne needs to stop talking about the super Bowl because
nobody cares about the Super Bowl halftime show anymore. Okay,
we've all moved on except for low Wayne. Well maybe
Lil Wayne and Drake. Low Wayne and Drake might still
be upset about it. Low Wayne, for sure, he just
did an interview with Rolling Stone, and he said, listen,
(04:50):
I did not watch the halftime Super Bowl. I don't
know why they even asked him about this, but he said,
I didn't watch it. He said, every time I looked,
it was nothing that made me want to go inside
and see what was going on. As far as you know,
would he potentially do it in the future, he said,
they have. I'm sorry, listen, they have stolen that feeling.
(05:11):
I don't want to do it. It was perfect, not anymore.
Well what was perfect by the time it was New Orleans? Yeah,
but what if they come back now he's done. They
stole the feeling.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
I can't do it anymore.
Speaker 5 (05:22):
And the books, have they ever done the person who's
from the city that they do in the Super Bowl?
Speaker 4 (05:27):
No, because remember we looked back at it. It isn't
like a historical thing they have to.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
Whoever, and it just so happens to be in that city,
Like would it have been nice, Yes, but don't act
like it was supposed to happen, Like he's taking it away.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
Dwayne almost died once and like I think his security
guard had to save him and bring him back to life.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
Like and you're talking.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
About this taking way to a person.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
You've got bigger stories to sir.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
I mean, it's it's it's giving sadness at this point, Dwayne,
move on, move on, honey.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
All right, and lastly, we are getting ready people.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Tuesday is the day we are scheduled for Karen Reid's
murder retrial. We did find out over the course of
the week that Bev Canoni has issued a series of
big time decisions that will affect the case ahead.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
I will let.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Nick go over some of these, but she did set
some deadlines for Karen's attorneys to turn over info about
two separate experts that they plan on using who had
originally testified in the first trial. Another big thing that
we learned, prosecution gave Cononi about forty one videos and
(06:33):
audio files that they may show to the jury throughout
the retrial, basically insinuating that, Hey, in between Trial one
and Trial two, this woman talked, She talked to the media,
she talked to these documentaries and we might play some
of these clips. We now know that Hank Brennan plans
to show a fifteen second clip during his opening statement.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Which one do you think she said? Oh, did I
hit him? Did I really do that.
Speaker 5 (07:02):
I even asked my lawyer, and my lawyer said, if
you did, then you'll you're basically comparable, Like you're basically
guilty of the word.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
The exactly makes you feel a certain way.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
I feel like she said for the prosecution, that doc
is a cornucopia.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
There there are so many things they could use.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
I mean, listen forty one videos they submitted and audio
files that they want to show the drink.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Like again, it doesn't make her guilty, but it definitely
leaves you with the feeling of like, I don't like
this person.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Yea. I believe that the prosecution did not want to
allow the dog expert, but Canoni.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
I think Nick can give us a little bit more
insight here. But Beth Cononi was like.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
No, I'll allow it, not specifically to talk about Chloe,
but about dog wounds in general.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Nick.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Again, Nick can give us a little bit more info.
There a couple other decisions that she made, But the
bottom line is we're back. We are back as of Tuesday,
so we will be joined next by Nick Rocco.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
I've been saying it all week.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
If you have a question for Nick, you have a
few more minutes to get those in. We will run
through just a recap of where we're at, get us
up to speed, and then I'll allow those questions. So
if you want to leave a new one, you can
go ahead right now to the app, put on jam
and hit that red microphone. Ask Nick any question you want. Again,
remember you don't say your name, who you are, where
you're from. You can be on any side of the aisle.
(08:19):
Just any question you have wanted to ask Nick, and
all the interviews that we've had him on this show,
but first six, one, seven, nine, three, one one, color
twenty five. I'm going to hook you up to a
par of tickets to go see Russ and Big Sean.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
After we pay that off, we'll be joined by Nick
rock All. Good morning,
