Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, everybody, wake it up.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's Tuesday, arguably one of the worst days of the week,
but it's Halloween. Is I just think Tuesday is just
you're stuck. Like it's Tuesday right in a halfway. Well, Monday,
you're coming off the weekend. You might have a little
bit of energy. Tuesday is just like but.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
I would say that Tuesday you once step closer.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Tuesday you're stuck. Wednesday we can start having a conversation. Thursday,
we're excited. Friday is Friday, but it is Halloween week,
so that's exciting.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Which I feel like makes the week cruise by a
bit faster.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
It does because I think everyone's looking so forward to
it because obviously Halloween Friday and then Christmas on Saturday,
which is dope, but it is exciting, and then we'll
stop down one day for Turkey, and then we'll move
right back along.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Thanksgiving. Man, the Pilgrims came here, half of them died
and the others stole the Native American lands, and then
you know, we just celebrate.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
About it for Monday.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Somebody passed the stuff, and you know what, it's the
big conversation.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Now, what are you putting out the tree.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
I asked my wife this, and I I asked her
if we were going to do it this weekend. She
said no, it's too early. She usually does to day
after Thanksgiving. But I feel like maybe two weeks into
November is probably like the right time.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
I think so too middle November, because it just brings joy.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
There's something about having that tree in there.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
But I'm also you know how I am like the
thirty first Halloween woo whoo. The second I wake up
on Saturday morning, those skeletons are coming down. Really, I
don't play games with that like we've but same about Christmas.
By jan one, it'll all be gone.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
I can do without all the pumpkins that are in
my house. And then I don't really know she decorates
traditionally for thanks because what do you usually do? Do
you keep the pumpkins up?
Speaker 2 (01:41):
I have some pumpkins and like some like stuffed little
turkey things, but I usually don't. Honestly, I might have
just the tree up in the background, and then.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
All the dish wear. Oh yeah, because we host I
love stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
The hosting of the holidays. I am just over. I'm
done with them all now, I asked the other day.
I don't know. I think we're gonna go to our parents' house,
which is just easy because you want to know why,
because you can control when you leave, and that's my
biggest thing. Her family tends to linger more so her
like parents, they just linger. It's tough, but at least
if you're going to somebody else's house, you can leave
(02:16):
whenever you want. You can kind of get an idea,
like we can leave like two hours and we're god.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
That is true.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
We go to a Christmas Eve party and you're right,
you're kind of the kids start to get whiny or
you just get out of there, but there's also something
to be able to just put them in their beds.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Yeah, I know, my kids say I played, so it's different.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
True true, true, yeah, true. Anyways, what's up?
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Last night or yesterday? My son had his end of
the year's soccer party and then it was the parents
play against the kids. So last night or yesterday I
found myself playing in a soccer game.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
That's hilarious. Joanne as well.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Joanne, No, she refused to play. I initially started off
the game like, you know, I'm not gonna go crazy
because I don't want to like blow it at knee
or something like that. Next you know, I find myself
scoring goals like a maniac, like pushing over like these
little kids are. I'm not sore today because I stay active,
So it's fine. Yeah, but it was like I got
into it though.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
It was a lot of serious like that. Yeah, the
endurance aspect.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
It's been my favorite part about it that some of
the yummies were out there too.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
I was like, the yies were just running around out there.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
So that was my night. It was good.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
That's nice. What did I do last night?
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Oh, watched the first episode of Welcome to Derry post
that I don't know if it's every show that I watched,
like this is trying to get that like crazy gory factor, Like, oh,
it's gorier than this movie and gorrier.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
In the opening scene.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
I was so taken aback by the nastiness and the
gore of it, because I really don't go for that
type of horror.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
But there is something piquing my.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Interest of knowing how Pennywise became penny Wise, Like the
origin story there of the town of Derry.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Opening scene was so nasty and so.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Gory that I had the the blackout, curtains closed, open
them up because I started to get a little scared.
And in the last scene, something wild happens that it
was very Game of Frones esque, and I just was like,
and only at one.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Episode sounds like incest to me.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
No.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
No, I did see some people talking about that show.
They seem to love it. And also I saw somebody
posted like a timeline of all the times that Pennywise
has come back to and they were placing where the
films take place, and also this series. I forgot where
this series takes place, but Derry no, not timing wise
like year oh.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Okay, yeah, I want to say nineteen sixty two or
something like that.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
So according to this timeline, he has been back a
few times.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Oh by the sixties.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Even going back to nineteen oh six I think was
the first time he appeared, and it's every like twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Years saying okay, I haven't I don't know.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
Yeah, So according to this time that he's come back
a few times.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
One thing I'll tell you that I wasn't like really
prepared for was the fact that you don't see him.
He may not appear in this series untill they're saying
maybe the.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Last episode really because.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
There's other things about him. He has other lure, he
can become things, he can become other objects.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
But sometimes when they do stuff like that, the payoff
is really good because the build up is like.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
Yeah, I think I read something like that. You will
not get a penny Wise appearance until episode maybe five
six seven, which is also but there's there's something else.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
There's a like a creature, yes, okay, like a demon creature.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
But you were saying that you were scared, Like was
it really like good?
Speaker 2 (05:46):
It was so gory, there was so much blood and
there was well there's the birth of the demon creature.
And I'll just they don't hide back. They don't hide anything.
The birth the birth of a demon creature. Welcome to
darry On HBO. You're welcome at six fourteen.
Speaker 5 (06:04):
Ashley and the jam.
Speaker 6 (06:05):
In Morning Show.
Speaker 7 (06:06):
When you need to know, we got you three things
you need to Know on Boston's Number one for hip
Hop and the best throwbags you Haven't any more?
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Five all right, Tuesday, October twenty eighth, And I feel
like this is going to really put things into perspective
for everybody, and everybody, I mean me because I caught
myself this morning, being like, I really hope it doesn't
rain on Halloween, which I know a lot of people
have thought. But when you hear what's gonna happen to
Jamaica today, you know what will take a little rain?
(06:35):
We will take a little rain. Because Hurricane Melissa is
slowly moving across Jamaica today. The storm will be the
worst hurricane that the country has ever seen. Melissa is
a Category five hurricane with winds of up to one
hundred and seventy five miles per hour. Parts of Jamaica
can expect up to forty four zero inches of rain
(06:58):
and thirteen foot US surge.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Okay, that is like. People can't understand that because here
we don't deal with hurricanes, but that is massive. We're
also once a storm has passed, we're going to have
to come together and to help out the island because
it's going to be bad.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
It's going to be so bad. They're already tracking it
on the news this morning. Three people in Jamaica have
already died in prep of the storm.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Melissa.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
The category five hurricane has already killed three people in
Haiti and one in the dr It is going to
be bad. It will continue to move across southeastern Cuba tonight.
But I mean, if you just look at the news quickly,
there's not a place in Jamaica that's not going to
see a wind gust under one hundred and ten miles
(07:39):
per hour.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Like it's nuts.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
We have all we have a lot of Jamaicans in
our town and they're very concerned.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Yeah, I mean, like I said, it's it's going to
be the worst hurricane that the country has ever seen.
So it really does put things into perspective because the
last couple of days, you know, we're all looking at
the forecast here in masks.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Like, oh no, a little bit of rain on Halloween. No,
we're shutting that down.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
It just so we can go out and get our
candy ca candiates.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Yeah, now I'm shutting that down.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
So if you know anybody in Jamaica, you know, thoughts
and prayers, because I hope everybody's prepared.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
It's gonna be bad today, all right.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Paul Pierce has formerly been charged with two criminal charges
stemming from his arrest in la earlier in the month.
You guys remember this, Paul fell asleep.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
In his car, like like in the lane.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Truth fell asleep in his car, and he blamed it
on being quote old and tired. The police said once
they got to him in his range drover, he was
just knocked and standstill traffic on the LA Freeway. Again,
he said, I was old and tired. But the police
saw signs of alcohol impairments, so they did, in fact take.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
Some blood from him.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
He got charged with one count of driving under the
influence of alcohol and one count of driving withero point
eight percent blood alcohol content.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
This was just fourteen days after he was taken into custody.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
On Spah of that day, there was a guy that
worked here and he fell asleep on Route one and
he said he woke up in the middle lane of
Route one his car stopped.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
He wasn't drunk, he was just like not a healthy man.
He just fell asleep. Now listen, is there something of
being old and tired and driving?
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Shure? Yeah, I mean I could not off.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
Sometimes in the morning I'm sleepy, but like Paul, yeah, Paul, honey.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
But imagine the odds though, that you just fall asleep
in the car stopped. I don't like most people fall
asleep and drive into something.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Yeah, right, I know people that that's happened.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
Yeah, that happened to me on the Tobin Bridge, but
I woke up.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
I won't say who, but one of my very good
friends just stopped at a stop sign and just knocked.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
Yeah, she was sleepy one time.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
This is the true story. Pop fell asleep in a
car wash and he woke up. The people knocking on
like the window and he was in the car wash stuck.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
They just just because he was drunk. He was old
and tired, like he was just sleepy.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
By the way, since we're dis us saying former Celtic,
let me just add into the Celtics finally gotta win
on twenty two ninety over the Pelicans, so it's like
one in three or something like that.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
There, you are right, all right? And lastly we got
a did he date?
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Did he now knows how long his maximum time in
jail will be if, in fact, he stays in the
entire time.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Did He's release date May eighth, twenty twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
Ooh, that's so far away.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Did he was sentenced to fifty months in jail after
being found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. Remember,
he already has one year of time served now he
definitely has a chance to reduce this time based on
you know, like good conduct time. And I know there's
gonna be a ton of appeals. But if in fact
he doesn't get out early and his appeals don't work,
(10:48):
May eighth, twenty twenty eight, I mean, and.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
He could flourish behind bars if he pays the right people,
and like, if the rumors are true, he'll be fine.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
If it's damn near twenty twenty six. Yeah, So I mean,
I don't listen. I don't think there's a chance. And
you know what that that man doesn't that's he stays
that entire time. I think he gets out early.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
Yeah, I do as well.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Yeah, all right, this three things he's know for Tuesday,
October twenty eighth. Make sure you catch up on the pod.
That's just the easiest way to know what we've been
chatting about all week long. Down the free iHeartRadio app
and search a SHL double Sadly and morning show.
Speaker 7 (11:23):
Good Morning, Boston's number one for hip hop jam in
ninety four or five.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Hi, everybody, good morning. We all know I'm living in
the wild West. I got a almost four year old
and an almost one and a half year old and
when I do bedtime, because they always want to do
bedtime with me. The absolute first thing I do, the
(11:53):
first thing I do as part of the bedtime routine
is turn on that hatch sound machine and let me
just before we even get into this, what I will
continue to do tonight is.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Turn on the hatch sound machine.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
People will ask me straight up, what are your five
favorite things to put on a registry. The hatch is
always in there, that sound machine. It's just sound machines
in general. The babies need them. They're used to hearing
things in our womb, so the sound machines make sense.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
You don't want to specifically get the hatch. That's your
own issue.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
The word need. They like them.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
I would use the word need.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
If I was discussing sleep training, I would one hundred
percent say that.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
I would argue with that.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
I would say that they did, yes, and that is true,
like back in the day there wasn't, but they may
have used other things for background noise.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
I you know how psycho I got about the sleep training,
So I would actually argue that. I think we could
debate that.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
I also think there's not a single sleep person that
sleep trains on the planet.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
That wouldn't say get a sound machine.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Some people say to bring them to the hospital, that's how,
but it is true. When they're inside the womb, there's
white noise. So what you're trying to do when you're
trying to sleep train is recreate the white noise. Not
to say, just so we're clear, you need the hatch
sound machine. The hatch has all of these features. They
got like fifteen different sounds you could use. The thing
turns different colors. Right now, Layla's set where it's a
(13:18):
certain color when she goes to bed, and when it
turns yellow is when she's allowed to leave her.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
Bedroom, like Mitch is rained.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
Okay, the hatch has all these different capabilities. What the
Internet is now saying, specifically the Christian Internet, is that
the hatch is demonic.
Speaker 5 (13:39):
Hatch is demonic. If you have a hatch, you need
to throw it away right now. Two nights ago, I
got home from my workout, got in a shower, my
husband went to work, and I lay down with my children.
I literally have Julius's, my son's bascinet right next to me. Okay,
the hatch sound is song. I'm dozing off a little,
you know, I'm trying not to fall asleep because I
(14:00):
gotta get up. I gotta make reflets, et cetera. I
start hearing murmuring, murmuring. I start hearing like kitter chatter.
I couldn't understand what it was saying, but I knew
it was coming from the hatchtem. I knew it was well.
I rebuked it. I rebuked it in Jesus name. I
went on with my day. My husband at home, I
(14:21):
told him, I said, hey, I was hearing some stuff
from that hatch, sum. I can't understand what it was,
but I was hearing some stuff.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
I just don't know.
Speaker 5 (14:29):
I have chills. You, I'm not lying. The Lord knows
I'm not.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
I'm listen. I'm sure the Lord knows she is not lying.
Satan can whisper to these children because it works.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
But it's funny, though, when you start thinking about things
like this, and for the people who believe in ghosts,
this is how the ghost hunter's commune with the other side.
They ask it questions and in the recordings they talked.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Back through white noise. Yeah out of time. Yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
So this that original clip of this woman then started
to go.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Other women started picking it up.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
There is a commercial from the Hatch Sound Machine that
is a Halloween related commercial, but the woman's kind of
like doing a seance. She puts on her hatch. The
white noise she makes the hatch red, so it kind
of gives like witchy vampire den type of vibes, you know,
and people are really out.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
Here throwing their hatches out.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
Hatch sound Machine issued in apology and they were like,
we probably shouldn't have done this commercial in this way.
It's Halloween, guys, and it's like the Reces coming out
and saying somebody was offended that they're in pumpkin shapes
for the month of October like it's Halloween.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
But to throw it away and like look at it
as like a demonic thing is a little bit crazy.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
So there's a Christian talk like that.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
There's a big area of that of TikTok supposedly, and
the Christians in the TikTok have gone I mean this
has gone crazy.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
This is a massive thing in like the Mammi world.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Listen, I'm not judging religion or Christians or anything like that,
but that part of TikTok is very judgmental. Yeah, across
the board on everything.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
It's gotten so crazy that people are now making parodies.
Speaker 6 (16:06):
So y'all are just now finding out that those hatch
machines are demonic. Let me tell you what happened to me.
I had a very similar experience to that lady on
here who told her story. I was sleeping one night.
I could hear the white noise happening, and all of
a sudden, I started here and talking. Now, that lady
on here said that she heard a chitter chatter. What
I heard I would describe more along the lines of
a jibber jabber, like a demonic gibber jabber. I ripped
(16:29):
that thing out of the wall, drug it outside, and
I rebuked it with my twelve gage. My wife was pissed.
Apparently those things cost a lot of money, but I
do not care. I am not having that demonic nonsense
in my house.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
The hatch they are pricey, Like, what are we talking?
Speaker 2 (16:44):
I'm looking it up so I can give you the
exact I was going to say, like one hundred bucks. Yeah,
depending on the one you have, Like, for instance, I
have like the Hatch Rest two that's seventy bucks, but
the one from the Devil commercial is one hundred and seventy.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Yeah, like if you're the out that thing, then you
should throw away your Alexis and everything else, right because
it isn't very certain, like not the same thing but
works the same way.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
Yeah, I mean there. And by the way, there's a
thousand other sound machines that you can get. Some of
them come with the cameras, but the hatch is a
specific one because it has all these features of like
it turns the different colors, Like, she will not leave
her bedroom and I know you use it on your
son too, until the hatch turns yellow.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Yeah, we used to stay in the room. The thing
turned and he was spent out of his room exactly.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
No, that's exactly what she does. She'll lay in the
bed and stare at it.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
The second it turns yellow, she's like, Okay, the sun
is awake, now I can go. The thing could be
whispering demonic things to them. It's staying in the room.
They're trained. It's part of their nighttime routine. But you're
right when you see these, if you believe in it,
when you see these weird paranormal things.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Yeah, the sounds, oh, we do come through in.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
The way, and here's the thing I have heard some
crazy things. Obviously it's TV, it could be made up
in all that stuff. But sometimes when you hear like, wow,
that is wild, and I guess like the paranormal part
of me is like it would make total sense because
maybe they're communing on a frequency that humans can't can't
really hear, but these things are picking them up.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
I think what would spook me the most is that
the hatch and certain soun machines are connected to the
Wi Fi, and we know that people can break into
the Wi Fi.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
We've seen these horror stories of that.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
But but as long as they're whispering for them to
stay in their bed like I'm.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Cool, until they start saying get out of bed. Now,
you don't need to wait for the light.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Now get up now now now you're trying me. Demons
don't find mom. Now you're trying me.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Six one seven nine three one one four five six
one seven nine three one one nine four five. You
could be either somebody that stands by the hatch or
you could believe that the hatch is demonic. But is
anybody out here throwing them out because I swear by them.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
Put them on the baby registry. If you're mad kam
in ninety four to five traffic.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
You're delayed one twenty eighth southbound before the ninety three exit,
and we have massive delays on the expressly southbound just
outside the tunnel because of an accident with all three
lanes are blocked.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
You know what we have to do some day sometime
this week, maybe Thursday, leading up to Halloweeness. People call
us with their ghost stories. Every time we do that,
I fallow like they're wild.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
But do you but you don't believe in them?
Speaker 8 (19:11):
Though?
Speaker 5 (19:11):
Right?
Speaker 2 (19:11):
I respect ghosts too much to say I don't believe
in them, because then they'll come for me.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
So I do believe, yes.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
Because some of these stories are incredible, and the last
thing that I want to do is see one, because
I think it would freak me out way too much.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Like you hear the stories about like the toilet paper rolls,
where people put them in certain ways and then they
wake up and they're like, yeah, I'm not. I would
like to say right now, I respect all ghosts.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
I have a friend who's a ghost hunter, and he
was on TV four for like a lot of years
and he said he had a he saw one. It
was his reaction. That convinced me, because you cannot fake
that reaction that he said he saw a lady staring
back at him like this with her with like her
hand out, and he like freaks out.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
No, I would never be the same after that.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
Yeah, but that was his job. Though they were on
TV like finding Ghosts.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
I feel like I remember this show.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
I was Ghosts, ghost.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Duntures, ghost Ventures. Yeah, what's he doing now, Nick?
Speaker 3 (20:03):
Now he does stuff with his wife. His wife is
a she's like she communes with the dead and then
like and like, you know, she interacts with the dead.
I'm only laughing because the way you were looking at me,
and they do like all these live shows and like
all that stuff. When I heard myself say.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
I mean, do you want her on? Like do we can?
I don't want her communing with any of my dead.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
I mean I can reach out to them, But.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
Yeah, are they too popular for us?
Speaker 3 (20:31):
I don't think they're too popular for us? Okay, I
just don't know what events they have going on this week.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
By the time, I don't know, guys, this is happening live.
But he's laughing like and smiling.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
So I don't know. Yes, I am you're doing saying
I'll show them the camera.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
No, I heard what I said, and the way you
were looking at me, I understand it sounds crazy.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
I just want to make sure we're all on the
same page here.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
But we'll definitely do ghost stories at some point this
week leading up to Halloween.
Speaker 8 (20:59):
Hi.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
Hello, especially ended Jami in Morning Show When you need
to know, we got you three things you need to
Know on.
Speaker 7 (21:06):
Bustin's Number one for hip Hop and the Best Throwbacks
you Haven't any.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
More five Tuesday, October twenty eighth.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
And it is very, very scary at the thought of
what Hurricane Melissa will do to Jamaica today. You know,
I can't stop thinking about the fact that this thing
is a Category five hurricane with winds of up to
one hundred and seventy.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Five miles per hour.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
When we talked about this last hour, we got a
couple people leaving us talkbacks, one of which was like,
you know, thank you for mentioning this, because I have
family out there who just had a new born baby,
and you think about that and it puts things into
perspective for you. Because listen, yesterday was I whining and
crying about a potentially raining in Marshfield on Halloween. Yes,
I want to slap my own self. You're not going
to catch me doing that again. Because parts of Jamaica
(21:53):
are going to see forty inches of rain a thirteen
feet of a storm surge. We know that a couple
peace in Jamaica have already died just in preparation for
the storm. One person in the DRS lost their life,
plus three in Haiti. The storm will hit Jamaica today
and then continue to move across the southeastern Cuba Southeastern Cuba.
But I think the important thing to know is not
(22:14):
everywhere is going to have one hundred and seventy five
miles per hour wind, but they're still going to have
one hundred, one hundred and fifteen, one hundred and twenty.
It varies depending upon the location. But Hurricane Melissa is serious.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
But even you talking about that, we can't comprehend that
because the biggest thing we have to deal here is
like a foot of snow, right, and that becomes a challenge.
Those winds are going to destroy a lot of the
island and it's super sad.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
This storm will be the worst hurricane that the country
has ever ever seen.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
And after this, we need to come together for the
island because it's going to be bad.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
It is going to be bad, all right. Did he
has finally got his date?
Speaker 1 (22:52):
If you will?
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Did he now knows how long his maximum time in
jail could or would be, so that release day would
be May eighth of twenty twenty eight. Obviously, we know
there's a chance of a reduction in his sentence given
the fact he's there, you know, doing the right thing,
good conduct could get him out early.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
He's certainly going to appeal.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
But if, in fact, did he stays the entire time,
Remember he was sentenced to fifty months in jail, has
already done a year, he would get out May eighth
of twenty twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
Let's just say they kick it down to like three
years or two like, if he gets on in two years,
that's still a lot of time.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Like it is it is, or you change your mindset.
It's already twenty twenty six.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
I mean, yes, but I think because it's him, that's
where the issues comes in, for sure, right for sure.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Listen, I don't think he stays in that entire time.
I think he'll get out a little early. But regardless,
if he were to stay the entire time May of
twenty twenty eight.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
How many we got to get through? A couple more halloweens?
Speaker 3 (23:49):
Ye for that bity man.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
All right, And lastly, we have an update on the
missing Middlebury College student Leah Smith. You know, we talked
about this a lot, and I wish that I had
better news to report to you. I told you on
Friday that while they were searching for her, they discovered
a body. After the autopsy, they did in fact confirm
and identify her as Leah Smith.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
Remember Lee.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
It was a double major there at Middlebury College. She
had also been on the swimming and diving team. The
Romont State Police that in a news release that the
medical examiner did examiner did determine that she died by suicide.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
Sad to hear, clearly she was dealing with something that
she thought that was the only way out there. I
feel bad for her also for our family.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
You really really think about that.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
It's just so heartbreaking to think that that is the
only answer that she saw. And I also think about
her dad, who you know, was the first person to
call the police and say something seems off. I haven't
heard from her, and you know they were from California
and to get here and that to be the news
because you just hold on to hope.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
Right after a couple days you don't hear anything. You're
just hoping.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
We were hoping maybe she met up with somebody, met somebody,
But just awful news out of Middlebury. And I think
just a good time to say that there's resources out
there and you're not alone. And I know you probably
feel alone, and if right now you do, We're not
doctors or anybody anything like that, but we can certainly
(25:12):
get you in touch with people that can help. That's
three things need to know for Tuesday, October twenty eighth.
We love a good talkback. You can obviously call the
show six one seven nine three one one nine four
five to say what up? But a talkback is another
easy way down the free iHeartRadio app Once a Jamin
is on, hit that red microphone and say what up?
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Come on Daddy and the jam In Morning show.
Speaker 7 (25:32):
Good Morning Bostin's number one for hip hop jam In
ninety four five.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
Hi, everybody, we love being nosy. Like I said, it's
our turn to kind of see.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
What's going on in your dating life. Maybe you just
went on a date. Maybe you're in a relationship and
you need a little advice. Anything you want to tell
us that involves dating, love relationships with a lack there, Well,
we'll do it right here. Six one seven nine three
one one nine four five. That a six one seven
nine three one one nine four five. We don't always
get this lucky some We found out yesterday that Tiffany
(26:06):
and Methuen was looking for a man that she met
at Urban.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
Air which is in New Hampshire.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
Yes it is.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
She was able to give us the.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Tan T shirt. I remember the cameo pants. I believe
he had two kids. And then TIF you also were
quote I'm doing air quotes right now on the way
out as well, and you saw a car he was driving,
which was.
Speaker 8 (26:28):
What gmc acadia.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Okay, supposedly AJ tells me you have an update for me.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
What do we got?
Speaker 8 (26:38):
So I could not kind of stop at just like
putting it out there to you guys. That's like I
have to do my research. Did I in fact do
my research? I've did. He lives in Lowell, she's thirty five.
He may or may not have a girlfriend, Okay, not
really sure. I do know exactly who it is, but
(27:02):
I did enough saying that I know a lot.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
What kind of research were you out here doing?
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Like, because this is getting a little like have you
ever seen the movie swim Fan?
Speaker 1 (27:15):
No?
Speaker 8 (27:15):
I haven't, but can I tell you my dream is
to be like a private investigator. I enjoy this so much.
Like there is a no, no, no no, because it
is technically public information if it is out on the internet.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
What was your starting point though, because I already know
you looked up his driver, his license plate and you
couldn't find anything.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
So where did you begin here? Well?
Speaker 9 (27:41):
I didn't.
Speaker 8 (27:42):
He's looked that up, and I did find a little
more than I probably should have because I guess in
the state of Massachusetts if you should do that, but
you can. There is definitely a way you can look
up a license late if I started there, and you
would be surprised, Like everybody out there listening, you would
be surprised that you can find on the web about you.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
All right, well, let's you know, let's not promote this,
but either way, after a ton of stalking or research,
whatever you want to call it, grabbing intel, you finally
got a photo of him and it looks like he
may or may not have a girlfriend and being a
happy relationships twenty nine.
Speaker 8 (28:20):
So this is the thing. So I had went on
the tee page. I actually heard about the tea page
from you guys listening in, So I went on the
tee page. I had seen him on the tee page
and the comments were hit or miss. There were red flags,
there were also green flags. Who was very much? I
couldn't you know, you can't believe everything you like here
(28:43):
on the internet from me.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
What was one of the red flags was one of
the reds give me a red saying.
Speaker 8 (28:48):
That they were saying that he was in a part
of his kids' lives. But then I seen him going
out with his kids, and then social media there's pictures
us is get one in social media, and he does
seem like an involved father. So to hit her miss
at to you know where he is in his life,
(29:10):
if he is a good dad or not.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
So I want to give you this exact same scenario.
You're a single dad, you're out with the kids. A
woman calls in the radio station. She describes you like this.
You don't get wind of it. She then calls back
the radio station and she, you know, is like, hey,
I got the man. Social I know when he was born,
I know his mother's name, I know his sister's cousins aunt,
and what they had for dinner last night. Are you
(29:33):
into it? Are you like, Wow, she really wanted to
find me? Or are you like somebody called nine one one?
This is a stage five cleaner. Honestly, there's a part
about this that I'm fearful love. But it really comes
down if I'm attracted to her. Because if I'm attracted
to her and I had that, and I'll put up
with some of it. Yes, because she didn't show up
at the house. If she wouldn't have done that, that
would have been crazy.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Well, Tiff, are you going to shoot shop?
Speaker 8 (29:58):
I know, I don't.
Speaker 10 (29:59):
I don't.
Speaker 8 (30:00):
No, I know my boundaries and I know my limits.
Like this was all this kind of yes, but like
I don't know if I should. I don't know. I
don't even know what I would say.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
Yeah, I mean just like, hey, I think you could
just start out with a simple high I mean, son,
what what what would you like to hear in a
message for me?
Speaker 3 (30:26):
Hey, I saw you at Urban Wild. I know this
sounds crazy, it might come off a little stockers, but
I was really attracted to you. I love the way
you were the kids. I would love to get to
know you more.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
What do you think, Tiff?
Speaker 8 (30:39):
That's good?
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (30:40):
I mean, who the hell will go through all this
work to not shoot the shot like you like shoot
or shoot at this point.
Speaker 8 (30:48):
The thing is, I was telling my coworker yesterday, people
think and maybe I'm wrong for this or BB I
think different. Embarrassment, Yes, embarrassment is the thing.
Speaker 5 (30:58):
You know.
Speaker 8 (30:58):
You could feel stupid when you shoot your shot and
you get let down, But at the end of the day,
when you die, is it on your headstone that you
you know, stops a person or you did this or
you did that. Like, nobody's going to remember this, and
if they do, they're gonna die anyway, So why would
it really matters. It's really really bad.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
You know what.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
That's different, Okay, And I just I don't even really
want to there's death involved now, I just you know what,
send the man the message, because it would be a
waste of your detective time to not send the message.
Speaker 8 (31:33):
I know, I know, Oh it put too much work,
nerve wrecking, but I think I'm going yeah, just for the.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
Hell of it.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
The only nerve wracking thing for me would be is
if he heard this other than that, I think you're
in the clear. Send the message and then that's sure.
Speaker 8 (31:49):
I don't think he would know. I don't think he
would know like it's him. Maybe he would unless he
was listening at seven thirty in the morning, But I don't.
Speaker 9 (31:56):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
I mean, you described his whole outfit, his two children,
and the in what she was driving, So he might
or he might not either way somehow, So on, I
feel like we're going to be getting another update from
Tiff this week and we will.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Be holding our breath. TIF keep us posted.
Speaker 8 (32:10):
I will thank you.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
Yeah, you know, the first time she called in she
mentioned that she thinks he lives in Lowell, and then yes,
then just now she confirmed it. There's a big part
of me that believes she followed him home.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
Wouldn't put it faster right six one seven nine three
one one nine four five.
Speaker 2 (32:29):
This is probably this man calling and saying I've already
dialed nine one one six one seven nine three one
nine four five. This is why I love this segment.
You never know what it's going to be about. We're
talking dating, love, relationships. It's beyond the swipe on the
old jam Hi everybody, good morning, it's.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
Actually the jam In Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
I had a feeling Tiffany was gonna fire some people up.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Bye listen. I'm not shocked by it.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
Mary Lynn.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Not to be confused with my sister in law. A
different one is in Nashua. Good morning, Good morning, Ashley.
So listen. I mean, I think we all have to
say it. And I get it.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
If Tiffany was a man calling in saying that she
was doing all those things, we would like search you.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
Tiff needs to also chill. You know.
Speaker 8 (33:14):
That's that's a little border line crazy.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
The only defense, I think, the only defense I think
we could give her is other people might do all
of those things, but in secret, you know, and I like,
you see somebody out you're like, oh wow, let me
try to do some research, but you're just not calling
me to say it.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
So it's one of those weird things.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (33:37):
No, I think that that's borderline crazy again, because how
can you spend so much time and so much energy
and finding somebody that you just.
Speaker 1 (33:47):
See from your car.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
I know, guy could literally be Michael Myers, okay, and
she's like, I just looked nice on him.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
But here's my thing. I find it to be.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
I don't know about you, guys, even crazier that she's
gonna do all of that and then not message to man.
So now now you're even creepy, Air, because you got
all this info and you're just sitting I ain't doing anything.
Speaker 8 (34:08):
I hope she messages the man and his girlfriend answers.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Well, look at you.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
I don't worry. I'm sure we'll get the update. Marylynn,
thank you so much for the call. I just I
thought she's gonna write him, and she's gonna write him,
and if I'm a betting woman, she'll call us by Thursday.
Speaker 3 (34:25):
I agree, And again this might work out depending on
his attraction to her.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Jewel is in Boston.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
Jewel has called in the show before Jewel was kind
of involved in a lover's quarrel with a man that
she had a relationship with and his sister. The sister
basically his cousin, right, his cousin basically yeah, Air quotes
again told you, Jewel, like, back off.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
You know, he doesn't want anything to do with you.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
And at that point, you guys had spent some time together,
no sexuals, but you were, you know, buying him clothes.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
He was spending time at your home. She ended up
the cousin calling the.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
Police on you, and this morning you were on your
way to court.
Speaker 9 (35:06):
I'm sitting in front of the court ause as we
speak with his eight by ten picture. I have endowed
his number. It's an unnecessary confrontation. If there's no communication,
no understanding, how it defrassment.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
Let's backstock.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
You're in front of court with a photo of him,
and you have an eight by ten picture.
Speaker 9 (35:25):
He gave me a picture to put on my wall
that he gave me, and I'm giving it back to him.
I wouldn't dows. I chase love most friends. What do
I need somebody's number?
Speaker 8 (35:37):
Four?
Speaker 2 (35:38):
I just you know what, I don't know for optics alone.
I have really followed the Carrier case pretty hard. I
don't know if I would go into court where a
potential restraining order is gonna happen with an eight x
ten photo of the person that says your stocking the rod.
It's just optics alone on that not good.
Speaker 9 (35:55):
I'm giving him this picture. I don't want to pitch.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
You want, yeah, but put it in a tarash can
like a normal person, because you don't want to carry
it in there.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
It's giving like seance vibes.
Speaker 9 (36:07):
Okay, listen. He gave his recovery coach the two silver
bracests in a gold chain that I gave him. I
came out of group a week a week and a
half ago, and his recovery coach called me after group
and said, hey, come in here. I went in front
of the director send me divine way, and he said,
Michael told me to give me this. Okay, Well, like
(36:27):
I said, all Michael had to do was tell me
he didn't want me to vow his number no more.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
He didn't want nothing to do with me.
Speaker 9 (36:33):
And I wouldn't beleeted his number because I don't know
it by heart, right.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
All right, So anyways, you are expected in court and
just a little bit and you guys, you the cousin,
and I'm assuming Michael are going to work out. Yeah yeah, yeah,
well let's not you know, all right, Well, listen, you'll
have to what time is.
Speaker 9 (36:50):
I haven't downs his number at all, And listen Goss's thoughts.
And I chased love of no friends, I don't. I
don't chase my mother. She's in a nursing home. So
what am I chasing him for where she can.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
She can't run, she could. We're going to hell, wrote itself.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
I would it's all right, Jewel, Well what time does
court start?
Speaker 9 (37:12):
Course stots at nine o'clock?
Speaker 2 (37:13):
Okay, well, you're early, bright and early, and you're ready
to go. I will as well be expecting to hear
from you, you know, within the next couple of days.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
I do know it is. By the way, are they
looking for a restraining order against you? Do we know?
Speaker 8 (37:28):
I don't know.
Speaker 9 (37:29):
He said something bout harassment and my thing is my
thing is They also put in there on the paper
something about me having a knife in my car's on
my person and what she called the police if that
was the case, hassibated and didn't search me right then
and there. This is all made up literally.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
Okay, well, Jeweled, good luck in there today, Good luck
in there. I do also again want to advise not
to bring in the eight x ten photo of him,
But that's that's something that you have to to to,
you know, wrestle with yourself for the next hour and
twenty minutes.
Speaker 9 (38:04):
Yeah, well, it's it's a picture him while he was younger,
and take it.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
Take it in. Just go ahead, and just go ahead
like this is I'm trying to help, uh juel, best
of luck, keep us posted, stay calm in there, all right,
all right?
Speaker 2 (38:20):
From like she you know why she's going right to
jail before Hi, everybody, good morning, sashing the gym in
the morning show. I think it's an important reminder, something
that was told to me years and years and years ago.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
ABC. All bitches are crazy. There's just levels to us.
You know, I'm I'm a top notch crazy.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
So we've seen some. We have seen some this morning
whilst doing Beyond the Swipe, But I love you all.
There's levels, uh, Alex. I feel like it's going to
help us all out now. So many people had messaged
me she's crazy, she's great. I don't know who they're
referring to because we've had a few. But Tiffany called
in and remember tips, we just spoke to her.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
But she was at Urban Air and she saw a guy.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
She had his whole outfit, she had his license plate number,
she was able to find him, she got all of
his information. Then she called us like what should I do?
We said, message him, just message him. At this point,
and then some people were writing and being like Ashley, No,
she shouldn't message guy. She did all the stalking. I mean,
at this point, what does she get. You know, she
has all the info. But Alex, you as well think
(39:27):
she should message him? Tell everybody?
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Why?
Speaker 4 (39:30):
Oh my god, I do.
Speaker 8 (39:33):
So.
Speaker 4 (39:34):
Back in twenty twelve, I went to my Accepted Students
college day with family, and I remember walking into the
auditorium thing and I saw this guy and he was
with his dad. I literally remember that he was wearing
red Nike shoes or read something shoes, I don't remember
(39:55):
exactly what brand, but they were red. And I was like,
oh my god, I'm gonna marry that guy. And I
was with my mom and I didn't say anything to
my mom at the time, but I literally stalked him
all day. I watched where he was going. I went
home from Accepted Students Day that night and I stalked
the Accepted Students page on Facebook that we were all
(40:20):
like added into. And I spent days. Because there was
hundreds of people in this group, I spent days looking
for him. Didn't know his name, obviously, didn't know where
he was from. I was based off of looks and
trying to match up a small Facebook profile picture to
my description, and I finally found him like three days later,
(40:45):
I think, and I decided to message him because I
was so excited that I actually just found him, and
he answered back, and thirteen years later we are married,
happily married with three kids.
Speaker 1 (41:00):
Come on, and see here's the difference.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
You did all that stalking, but you didn't call me
and tell it to everybody and out for you. She's
been honest and open that she's like doing all the
work to try to find this man that she also
now wants to marry.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
But we have to hear about it.
Speaker 2 (41:15):
So we're like, you're a swim fan and you're nuts,
but looks she needs to. Now what did you say
to your guy in the initial message, because that's what
she's trying to work out now.
Speaker 4 (41:29):
So I was I was a child at the time.
I was eighteen, so I don't remember exactly, but I
think I just said, like, hey, I saw you at
Accepted Students Stay at Dean College and wondering if maybe
you'd want to hang out before school or like something
like that. Like I try to just make it like
(41:50):
very casual. And he did message me back, and he
did want to meet before school. We didn't end up
meeting before school, but we ended up finding out through
like conversation that we ended up being dormed in the
same building. So we saw each other on moving day
and stuff, and then rest is the story.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
I love it all right, Well, listen, I'm sure Tiffany's
still listening, and hopefully you've pushed her in the direction
of sending that message.
Speaker 1 (42:17):
Alex, Thank you so much, hope.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
So yeah, we'll see you know what a nice bow
we could tie on that tail if in fact, Tiffany
messages him and he's like, oh, I noticed you too,
and they go out and they find love.
Speaker 3 (42:27):
That would be nice. I think if you do get
to this point with the relationship or something that you're
interested in, you have to be honest about certain elements
of the fact of how you found them. But I
think if you preface it would like, I know it
sounds crazy, but we have a thing here.
Speaker 2 (42:41):
Well remember too, a j Remember when you were like
obsessed with the guy at the gym.
Speaker 1 (42:45):
You had to do a little bit of you, right,
didn't you do some research intel to find him or
what happened?
Speaker 11 (42:49):
He ended up following me on Instagram and then you
stalked him from there. Yeah, so I just clicked and
I was like, oh wow, he's married, right, Yeah, not
the one.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
Another one bites the dust. Well, we shall see. We're
gonna have a lot of updates to people. What ends
up happening with Tiffany and Jewel. We shall see. Good morning,
