Speaker 1 (00:00):
Especially ended in morning show when you need to know,
we got you three things you need to know on
Boston's number one for hip hop and the best throwbags
you haven't any more five Tuesday, October twenty eighth.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
And I'm saying this so we can stop complaining.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
We as in me and my friends have been having
these conversations about, oh my god, it's going to rain
on Halloween. We all need to stop down, slap ourselves
and shut the hell up, because what's happening in Jamaica
today is the worst hurricane that country has ever seen.
Melissa is on a rampage and as of late late
last night, Melissa was up to a category five hurricane

(00:39):
with winds of up to one hundred and seventy.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Five migeles per hour.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Now, not everywhere in Jamaica is gonna see wins like that,
but they're still going to be one hundred, one hundred
and fifteen like crazy wins.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Parts of Jamaica can expect.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Up to forty inches of rain and a thirteen foot storm.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Search that's almost four feet of falling.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
That's and you can imagine.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
I can't because when we get like that much snow,
it's like a blizzard, and.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I feel like, yes, we've been talking about this for
a couple of days, and but I just don't think
you can ever really prep for something like this like
this is no matter how prepared you are, this is
again the worst hurricane they will ever see or they've
ever seen.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
You can prep for a tropical storm, you can prep
for a hurricane that's like a category two, but when
it's like this massive, you cannot. There's nothing you can do.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
We've had people leave talkback saying, you know, I have
family in Jamaica, family members have just had babies, all
of these things and it's heartbreaking to think about. So,
you know, I hope, I hope people are as ready
as they can possibly be. I can tell you the
storm is going to continue to move across southeastern Cuba tonight.
So let's like, let's do one of those things where

(01:48):
we just hope so much that the forecasters are wrong. Yeah,
but I do think tomorrow, Thursday, Friday, we're gonna be.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Talking about a lot of devastation in Jamaica and.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
They're gonna need a lot of a too, So let's
help out.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Agreed, all right?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
He got to Diddy Day people, if did he stays
for his maximum time, his maximum sentence. Remember did he
was sentenced to fifty months in jail after being found
guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. He already had
one year of time served. He would be looking at
May eighth, twenty twenty eight.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
That's so far away when you think it is. I know,
and like, listen, obviously there's a joke here. But at
the same time, like clearly did he's into men as well,
there's a part of him that might actually like it
won't be so bad for him. And I'm not trying
to be funny, but like that's the reality. Not, no,
I'm really not.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Oh okay, I mean, I don't know. I don't I
might disagree with that.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
I think that he would want to maybe venture with men,
like not behind a jail cell.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Yeah, but you know, so I guess at ur the
day he could so freak off there probably.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
I don't think he will stay all the way until
May eighth of twenty twenty eight. He obviously has the
chance to reduce his sentence with good behavior. They're going
to appeal all of the things. I don't know if
it'll be that long, But yeah, did he's gonna do
some time. Did he is going to do some time?

Speaker 4 (03:06):
And we haven't really seen him because we've only seen
pictures of him. I can't wait to lay my eyes
on what he looks, really looks like.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
I know which we should when he gets booked, we
should get a photo.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Like a mugshot. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Yeah, And then most of the time we get pictures
of guys in jail. We've seen Tory Lanes, you've seen
your face.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Yeah, probably get something, get something. I wonder if he's
gonna be a little bit bigger too with dinner.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Speaking of Tory Lanes, he might not agree with this,
but Meg thee Stallion was on Alive and she made
it very clear that when you see all that Megan
the Stallion hate, that's not real people hating on her.
It's just spots people get paid to talk crazy about me.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
When I do people online to see what y'all doing.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
I feel like y'all get so easily riled up and
easily discouraged.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
When y'all know people get paid to talk crazy about me, Like,
don't it seem a little weird?

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Like how overwhelming? A lot of Megan Stalia hate seem.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Like they don't seem right, do it not? Because people
are getting paid to do this.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
These are bots. These are pay people. Like if you
scroll through some of these people tweets, it'd be a
man that'd been.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Tweeting about sports for eight years now, all of a
sudden he just hated Maka day.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
These people are getting paid to do this.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
Like what if we even the hato, you know what?
To her point, the people commenting about my package on
the internet, those are bots too. Comments.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
They weren't talking, they weren't talking about anything related to that,
and then all of a sudden they were like, that
thing is not sideways. That's what it actually lets me know.
Just like, uh, there's three days eased over Tuesday, October
twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Let's do these Playboy Cardi tickets. He's gonna be here
literally next week. He'll be hanging out at the garden.

Speaker 3 (04:43):

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Are you in the factory right now, because I don't
trust those medical supplies.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
If you're calling me.

Who is Laura from Greenville? You got a boyfriend, girlfriend friend?

Speaker 8 (06:37):
I have a boyfriend. Okay, we've been together a little
over a year.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Oh okay, it's getting serious.

Speaker 8 (06:45):
Yeah, just a little bit.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
When you're in the factory, do you listen to the
show like on your pods on the app?

Speaker 8 (06:52):
I wish I could, but unfortunately I'm not even supposed
to have my phone on me?

Speaker 5 (06:57):

So how yeah, you're not allowed to have your phone.

Speaker 8 (07:11):
I sit in my car.

Speaker 2 (07:13):

Speaker 8 (07:17):
I'm vaping.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
That's not safe?

Speaker 3 (07:21):
All right, Laura, Well let's let's let's do this. Give
me a fun fact about yourself before I let you go.

Speaker 8 (07:27):
Uhh uh, I guess I really like uh singing karaoke
and dancing and.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
That's fun. What's your go to karaoke song. I feel
like everybody has one.

Speaker 8 (07:43):
Oh boy, it's okay, I have probably too many. There's
so many.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Yeah, see me personally, i'd pick like a Spice Girls
song if I if I was up there doing karaoke.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
But all right, well, Laura, I'm glad you called me
during your break.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Tell your boyfriend I said hello, and uh, get back
into the factory.

of your morning.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Yeah, seriously, you know some people just call in for
the check and just to say hi, So I always
try to get a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
But interesting that she works the factory life.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
She sounds very pleasant though, because you just imagine, like
that's not a chipper job or positive tone, right job. Yeah,
she sounds happy though.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Makes me feel a lot better though that she's on
a break and she's not in the factory doing medical
devices while chit chatting with us, because that's pretty scary.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
The either that or she loses like a hand.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Right, which neither are good options.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
All right, six one seven nine three one one nine

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Paving jobs are the hardest jobs. Like out there, they
must be the most physically demanding jobs in the world.
That is not in the world, but here it's Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
I mean you could just hear in his voice He's like,
we have a hard day ahead of us like shout
to Addleborough Paving.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
I don't know what what do you have to doing?
But it's not gonna be an easy day.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Probably a busy time of year getting everything done before

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Wow, yeah, poor god.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
They love each other day, which is good.

Speaker 3 (10:00):

Speaker 3 (10:24):
On a Tuesday and Michelle and Arlington is already having
a bad day.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
That's tough Michelle because it's so early in the morning.

Speaker 8 (10:34):
I know, and this is my first time caller.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Ooh my girl, welcome.

Speaker 8 (10:41):
Thank you. I listened to you every single morning.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
So what's what's happening? Can I hug you?

Speaker 8 (10:46):
Traffic? Traffic is just beyond yeah, horrible today, you know, I.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Know, anything else that's making it particularly bad today.

Speaker 8 (10:57):
No, it's just the traffic in and my nervous energy.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Well listen, the nervous energy sometimes gets me as well.
But yeah, you know, traffic can put you from a
great mood to an absolutely horrible one. But you know,
we have to tell ourselves, is things could be worse
if it's just the traffic, you know, could be worse.

Speaker 8 (11:21):
Yeah, I know you are a wonderful person, and you
take such good care of your kids.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
Wow, I didn't see that coming with thank you. I try,
I try.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
It's not easy.

Speaker 8 (11:33):
Well, have a good day you as well.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
Michelle, thank you so much for the call. That's nice
of her. She just said, somen that I take such
good care of my kids. Wait until she sees my
Halloween photo shoot yesterday, and that the torture in which
I put those kids through.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
It's fine. They're smiling, they're good. Jack is in Boston.

Speaker 7 (11:52):
Jack.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Jack had a big date last night. Okay, Jack, a
little Monday night action.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
Just this a little just a low date.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Oh something, where'd you guys go?

Speaker 6 (12:04):
So it was it was more so like we get
off work and uh and I'll offer a taker to
go grasb.

Speaker 7 (12:09):
Some ice cream.

Speaker 8 (12:10):
So we go to and saw of your cookies.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
All right, bomb bomb. We get there, we wait in line.

Speaker 6 (12:16):
I have her pick everything out, and then I realized
I forgot my wallet. At this point, at this point,
we've already both ordered, and I'm thinking to myself, like,
I can't. I can't tell her that I forgot my wallet.
It's gonna sound it's gonna sound like it sound like
Kevin Hart.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
No for real, it's gonna sound. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (12:35):
She ended up paying CEO.

Speaker 6 (12:36):
I ended up saying I forgot my wallet.

Speaker 7 (12:39):
I was assuming.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Jack was embarrassed. He cursed, but I think we can
go back. Jack.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
I had to dump you there, because you can't. You
can't curse on the radio. I always say, at least
not on a Tuesday. At least give me, give me
a Friday to be fired.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
But that's okay.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
So you pick everything you want, she picks everything she
wants you to get to the top. We don't have
a wallet, so you have to ask her now to pay,
which is I agree with you mortifying?

Speaker 2 (13:05):
How did she respond though?

Speaker 6 (13:08):
Yeah, I didn't even ask. I just literally started pasting
my pockets for my wallet, and she could just tell
her from my face her and I say it and
then she's like, Okay, I got it.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
What a dolt.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Yeah, but but you need to know she sent her
friends a group text and was like this absolute loser
he's trying to protect. Well, have you spoken to her
this morning, because now you need to double down. Now
you need to say to her like, we're doing dinner
and cookies on me since I messed out.

Speaker 8 (13:38):
Now I gotta go spend the bag you do.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
No, really, that's the only way to make this up,
because that's hilarious.

Speaker 6 (13:44):
I believe to be with ice creams and cookies and
now I'm by paying for steak and lost.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
No, that's a fact. And by the way, you were
doing a great job. Insomnia cookies is so good and
they're always warm. I love them so much. But yeah,
you're gonna have to do it up. Where should he
take her?

Speaker 4 (13:59):
Now? Maybe in the moole.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
Santi's trying to make you really poor, really poor.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Yeah, but Jack, just know this.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
This actually Moon might be the wave because moo has
fantastic meal and they are known for their warm chocolate
chip cookies that they give at the very end, so
you could tie everything in.

Speaker 8 (14:23):
Yeah, I'm gonna have to make sure I have my wallet.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
I go with you, Jack, please do and yeah, let
let us know if she actually hits you up again.

Speaker 8 (14:32):
I got you, guys.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Thank you, You're welcome. That's tough.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Yeah, I actually do believe that he made that mistake.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
But I think so too. Yeah, but he also, I
don't think he's gonna go to MOO. I think he's
going to the Nines. I can just telling show good morning.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
Bastin's number one for hip hop. He am in ninety
four or five.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
Hi, everybody, good morning. I want to make sure I
get the details on this. This happened in twenty twenty three,
and we were kind of debating on like what it
looks like when you're adrenaline is going and how long
you could potentially survive something like this. But back in
twenty twenty three, a twenty eight year old man fell

(15:16):
overboard from a uh there certain type of cruise Carnival.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
We all know the answer, because they don't have railings. Yeah, well,
let's it's just deck in an ocean.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Twenty eight year old falls off the carnival cruise and
survived twenty hours in the Gulf of Mexico.

Speaker 9 (15:37):
My worst face down, and that was something I did
not want to have to face.

Speaker 7 (15:41):
The twenty eight year old going overboard a cruise ship
in the middle of the night, saying he spent about
twenty hours treading water alone in the Gulf of Mexico.

Speaker 9 (15:50):
I wanted to see my family. Was dead set on
making it out of there. You know, I was never
accepting that this is it, this is going to be
the end. You know, the fall didn't kill me, you know,
sea creatures didn't amy. I feel like I was meant
to get out of there.

Speaker 7 (16:07):
As the sun was going down Thanksgiving night, James Michael
says he spotted a glimmer of hope the lights from
a tanker ship and decided to swim towards it.

Speaker 9 (16:18):
And he told me to hold on to this life
fist when I was just thinking, thank you. You know,
you're like a guardian angel coming down from me.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Now. This is crazy.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
By the way, he encountered sharks while he was out there,
rip currents and jellyfish.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Wow, which one's taking you out?

Speaker 4 (16:34):
I mean, I guess the shark, if you're bleeding, would
probably be the worst thing, but the jellyfish will probably
hurt the most.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
A lot of people would be like, there's no way
I would survive twenty hours. But I mean, you can't
put yourself in that situation because adrenaline is a hell
of a drug.

Speaker 4 (16:46):
But I feel like adrenaline would wear out after a
certain time.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Well, you have to backfloat. There's no other way.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
You can't tread water like that unless you're Michael Phelps
for twenty hours.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
I wouldn't just give up, though, and I know I
know a lot of people out there probably would. I
would come to terms with the fact that maybe I
would die, but I would keep on fighting.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
To the very Yeah, because you just keep telling yourself.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
That I can do this, I can do But that
is you know, it's it's it's one of those like.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
Would you rather you play?

Speaker 3 (17:14):
We've all played it, you know, and it's like would
you rather be stuck with sharks or gatters? Like we're like,
this is gators and sharks aren't ultimate fear for a
lot of people.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
Yeah, I'd probably say gators because at least when gators
you're stuck in like shallow water compared to like an ocean.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Open ocean, and you see a fin of a shark coming,
it's like, obviously you punch it in.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
It's now what people say, Yeah, they didn't work for
the girl who lost an arm, Right, you didn't punch
it in the right.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
I just think the ultimate thing we need to keep
in mind is this isn't happening on like the Alaskan Cruise, not.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Because they have railings. Carnival. Man, it's just wilding out
out there.

Speaker 5 (17:50):
You know what.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
You've been saying this for some time about the carnival cruises.
This happened in twenty twenty three. But we had a
woman calling and she gave her review of the Carnival
cruise and you said, it's it's it's like going on
a weight loss cruise.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
Yeah, because the food is just bad.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Right, you know we didn't say that.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
There's probably an element of Conrad that's probably the cheapest, right,
and I understand that. But at the same time, like,
don't cheap out on something like that because you get
what you pay for. And like listen to that guy
again and not judging him, but you know, like you
know where he lives. He lives in a home with
wheels on it. Like that's the type of clientele that.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
You're going to. Hell, it's gonna be crazy.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
Do you think we did get a call from anybody
that's encountered or shark?

Speaker 4 (18:32):
Probably yes, because they're out there, especially like down the cage.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
They love chattaw.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
But what do you mean by encounter though? Like one?

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Right, we've all I mean, I think we've all seen one.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
Yes, but a shark encounter like being a legit encounter.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Do you think anybody listening right now has had an encounter?
