Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh man, everybody who I almost feel like we all
should have been gifted Monday off as well.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Quite the weekend.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
I mean, with Halloween on Friday and the time change combined,
that was a lot of action.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
I guess the time change doesn't affect me as much
because my kids are older, but when they were younger,
I do remember it being like a pain in the ass.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
It is a pain in the ass. That's really the
only way to describe it. I mean, if your kids,
like in my house, everybody wakes up around six thirty ish,
it was five five point thirty.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Everybody was up and not just like an up war.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
We could maybe possibly lay back down and relax, like
we're asking for yogurts and yeah, bananas slice certain ways
and it's like pitch out there, like man, So yeah,
I saw everybody like excited we're getting in an extra
hour of sleep. Who not if you have littles in
the house, you not. She's already She was up from
(00:58):
one thirty to three thirty, just having full convos with me.
And I got a text from Mandy Helen at five
oh one that.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
She was wide awake.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
So how long does it take them to get back
into a normal routine because I forget it takes a
little bit.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
I'd say hopefully within a week or two. I mean,
knock on wood. Daisy right now is still asleep. If
I could get her to sleep at least until six thirty,
then we can start building off of that, because the
baby usually will sleep till a good seven thirty. But
she even she was up earlier. It's yeah, I mean
it'll be a solid week. I'm pretty routine with the
sleep and I don't play them any games. So I
(01:30):
was even last night she was like, let me just
come into you, No, ma'am no, because she she got
to sleep with us on Halloween was a bare gift.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
So she was trying again. Yeah, she got she was.
She was trying again.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
But you know me though, Friday Halloween fully invested. The
kids and I were all Pennywise killer clowns.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
The Fireman was Georgie.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
We had the balloons by Saturday, I'd say ten am,
not ounce of Halloween left in my house down The
weather was nice. And I don't play these games. That's
my fa It literally is my fatal flop.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
People.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
She loves Halloween so much, she does, but she moves
on like we I've had those things up for two
months now.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Yes, you know, I'm not.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
I'm not. I'm not tossing a Santa hat on top
of my skeleton. It's not That's not me. And I
got a lot of d ms about that.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
About what I'm bout putting a Santa hat on the skeleton.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Yeah, that I should keep the skeleton up all year.
I should decorate him for every holiday. It gives junkie
to me. It's just not my it's not my thing because.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
You see them around and it does feel like, you know,
it's junkie trashy.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
To me, because some people might have looked at all
of my skeletons and been like, she's chunky.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
I don't you know.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
It's just the only person it doesn't seem trashy or
junkie too, is a person who has it. It's because
nobody has told them that it looks trashy. They're into.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
But then somebody might also argue that the nine foot
grinch that's in the foyer of my home right now,
it's also maybe junkie. I don't know, but he's there.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
But it's not like do that like all year round. Again,
some of these skeletons are up like all the time.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
He's new. I manipulated pop Up into buying him yesterday
at Low's.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
I saw how much you paid for it too.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
How did you see that?
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Didn't you send it someplace? You wrote it in some story? Yes,
you you definitely.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Didn't put the price. Put the price.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
I didn't.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Yes, you definitely put the price or three hundred. Yes,
I know I didn't. It was all the price.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
You know, I don't.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
He wrote it in the email last night.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
In the email, Yeah, I don't think because you know me.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
I don't like to broadcast that because I'm embarrassed.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
But here's the thing. We got off early in the
in the email.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
You actually I posted it a lot, but I knew
how much you spent.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
It was free number one. It was free.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
It was free.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
It was free. So that's we all need to start
telling ourselves this.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
We all need to start this narrative because when my
husband gets home to me, okay, it was free. Yes,
I'm serious, I didn't pay. So when the attitude comes,
I'm gonna be like it was a gift. I am
I gonna say, no, Popop was you know? He said
he would buy them something we go into Low's. She
was really torn between a Jack skeleton and the Grinch.
(04:13):
I was kind of leaning towards the Jack skeletons. That's
a Halloween vibe, but also he was just like Santa.
But she really wanted that Grinch. So you know, Nanny
Helen's at the house now. I told her not to
film his reaction because then we won't get one. So
I'm anxious to see what it looks like because I
mentioned that Grinch to him a couple of weeks ago
and it was shut down in media. Put a tree
(04:36):
right there, you already have those. We don't have space
for a nine foot grinch in the garage, like we
are running out of space. Actually, you have to stop
doing this. We don't need that. They don't need that.
We didn't have that growing up. They don't need that.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
So I just said yes, and I kept it moving,
but it was free. I'm not gonna but.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
His issue is not the price. His His issue is
that there's a thing there in the foyer where there
should be a tree, and then afterwards where you're gonna
store it.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
That's yeah, and that's that might be the demise of
my relationship today.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
When he gets home.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
That's why I did post yesterday asking if anybody has
a plug on the riot, because if he leaves me,
I'm gonna have That's the one I'm going.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
To November thirty. You're gonna not buy any more like
decorations for the whole season. Now you have to buy more.
You can't have a Grinch alone. Listen, it needs friends,
It had its family. It has cindylu Who and Max
the Dog.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
I'm thinking about it.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
I feel like you that will solid So then when
I go on my first date, I'll be with a
nine nine these two little people like will you take me?
Speaker 4 (05:38):
Especially shown you need to know, we got you three
things you need to know on Boston's number one for
hip hop and the best throwbacks you haven't any more Vives.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
I gotta play better for this team down the road.
I think you know it's it's tough. It's tough for
the game where you win and you can fill in
that locker room that that this guys know we can
play better and it's a good dealing to have. But
also the same time, it's tough to win this league,
so you gotta enjoy it.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Monday, November third, he really is shape enough to be
wiser than his age.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
I mean, for real, valid point too. He didn't play
like amazing, but he got the win.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
And listen, he could have come out here and just said, like, whoa,
we did it. Yeah we won, and he's like, no,
like this is a this is a lesson for me.
Yeah we won, but there's things that we all know
we could have done better. And with that being said,
it's a tough league. It's it's hard to win, but
you know and that that's there are there are like
dirty wins where you you know, I've had it happen
(06:35):
a million times in my career, Like you won a game,
but you're like, eugh, But it.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
Does feel good to have a football team out there
that even yes and then also throw a few interceptions
and still win.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Well again, and we had like four years of being
the other way.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Hey, thank god for a missfield goal.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Yet's put that in there, twenty four to twenty three,
Pats beating the Falcons, putting them at seven and two
for the season.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
I don't want to be that person. But that's not
the real story.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
The real story is Cardi b making an appearance for
her Man Stefan Diggs. Now we've been saying it the
last couple of weeks. No sign of Cardi. I still
in my soul believe maybe they were beefing. Maybe there
was a little argument, Maybe there.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Was a little fight.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Because he had his first NFL touchdown and not a
singular post from her, not even like I'm laying in
bed watching the game. Nothing right either way, they are
full on back on Cardi b hanging out with robber
Craft in his suite.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Post game, Cardi stopped for a little interview.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Hey, how you doing today?
Speaker 2 (07:37):
We're doing really grandly. I'm really good.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
Okay, what's your name with you?
Speaker 6 (07:40):
From?
Speaker 2 (07:41):
My name is Cardi b Off of the bra ess
in the house.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Let's go, we see the fit.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Just fiberfires right quick, we'll take it down. Hell her
mess and you say this is a little bit nicely modest.
You know what I'm saying is how you doing with Syria?
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Were we at?
Speaker 7 (08:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (08:02):
Lets stadio? Yeah, the cvs have a little tea party?
Speaker 3 (08:07):
Yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
TD party? How big TD party? How about that?
Speaker 8 (08:13):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Well, how do you enjoy the game?
Speaker 9 (08:15):
I mean.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
TD, big TV, TD, big TD party. Because of course,
Stefan scored a touchdown. She seemed very happy. He was
standing next to her during the interview, just smiling.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Can I hate when people like when people from the
Boston is going on with the tea party thing. It's
so stupid and nobody ever says that who's from Boston.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
It's funny because that's my dad's or one of them
go to jokes to the fireman and he's just like,
it's just bad.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yeah, like, actually forget it, like happened here. It's either
that or the being town.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Okay, she's nice, you know, she's.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Just figuring it all out. And I liked the switch
up from the big tea party to the big TG party.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Well, listen, the Pats are back in action Sunday. They
are taking on the Bucks seven and two. Though Super
Bowl Chiefs can't win, but we're seven to two. I
love it all right. I will never forget Santi's prediction
for the World Series because I'm fairly certen.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
You said it was gonna be a blowout.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
I said the Blue the Dodgers were gonna pretty much
win the series four games to one. Yeah, so the
Blue Jays would win one.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Now, they did win the series, but it was a
lot crazier had to go to Game seven.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
This World Series was one of the best series in
like the last twenty years. It was amazing.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
I mean, extra innings all, oh my.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
God in this Game seven this past weekend was amazing.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
So the Dodgers are now the first MLB team to
win back to back championships since the Yankees did it
in ninety eight, ninety nine and two thousand. Helped me
out with this man's name, Yuma Moto, Yamamoto, Yamamoto, yo dollars.
That's exactly why you pay him that type of cash.
He was named World Series MVP, winning Games two, six
(09:54):
and seven as pitcher, Like don't they don't Some of
these pictures take forever off because it's so hard on
the arm our.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Starting pitcher will pitch every five days because they need
the rest. But at this point of like the season,
it doesn't matter.
Speaker 10 (10:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
I saw him come out there, and I was like,
he also bats.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
Yeah, that's that's Otani.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Oh see, Okay, so this guy just pitches.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
He just pitches, and Moto is amazing and he gets
paid how much four hundred million? But shohy on the
other end, he gets paid he gets both and he's amazing.
He makes seven hundred million dollars. That's his contract value.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
This is what it takes to win the series. And
this is why the Red Sox haven't won it so long,
because they don't spend any money.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
I know.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
And it's to be honest, I'm not even a big
baseball head, clearly I don't.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
But it was fun to watch, yes, you know, and
even like Game seven, there were so many moments I
could have gone like either way. There was one moment
in the bottom of the bottom of the ninth with
the Blue Jays almost walked off the series and it
was like a matter of inches, like it came down
to that. Then that went into extras. It was just awesome.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
And a lot of people believe that the Drake Versus
back because you know, Drake is a big Blue Jays fan.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
I'd also mentioned this to you earlier.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
There's a big question mark around Alex Vesia and what's
going on with him. He had to leave the World
Series due to a deep, deep family matter. We know
that his wife was very pregnant heading into this World Series,
so thoughts and prayers. Players on both sides were writing
fifty one on their on their baseball hats, and it's
(11:27):
you know, my mind keeps going to one thing. I
don't really know what else it could be. But until
there's an announcement, we'll hope, we will really hope and pray.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
That it's not.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
But congratulations to La and the Dodgers on their back
to back on their back to back World Series championship.
All right, lastly, unrelated to sports, let me give you
something else. The Mega Millions I mentioned is worth eight
hundred million dollars right now. The national Lottery's been growing
since there was a winner. I think it was like
(11:55):
June twenty seventh around there. Eight hundred mil by the way,
the ninth largest prize in the Mega Million's history. You
got to make sure you get your tickets before the
next drawing, which is tomorrow night.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
So what's a cash app Probably like for something.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Yeah, probably that's probably takeaway.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
You end up taking home about like just under three hundred.
We love the game. That would be nice.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
First purchase probably another house on the beach. I'm definitely
just paying off this house and like being done with
that and not being house poor anymore, because that'd be
so sick and then we'll.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
See probably another house, a few more cars.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Yeah, so fun to think about.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
By the way, there was a time and Santi will
co sign for this, that I didn't know where to
buy lottery tickets. And to be honest, it still makes
me a little uncomfortable.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
But what's uncomfortable?
Speaker 2 (12:39):
You go to any I don't know what to say.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
I don't do it a lot you do just a
quick picks. I think these are up to they're two
dollars per number, so yeah, yeah, ten ten dollars bucks. Okay,
I'm on it. That's three things you need to know
for Monday, November the third.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
Make sure you leave us a talk back. Tell me
how your weekend was. Check in with us.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
You can do that by downloading the free iHeartRadio app.
And while you're there, put on jam and hit that
little red mic and say what up?
Speaker 3 (13:03):
Morning show?
Speaker 10 (13:04):
Good morning.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
Bustin's number one for hip hop jamm in ninety four
or five.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Hi, everybody, good morning.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
I just said it, Santi, I said, and a j
It's just I feel like a tightness in my chest
that Halloween is over.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
I know a lot of people get it post Christmas,
not me.
Speaker 10 (13:25):
I get it.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
After Halloween. It's just such a fun build up and
I'm you know, even this morning, I'm looking I have
like a Halloween section of clothes in my closet and
my regular clothes, and it's like, I mean some some
sweatshirts all where year round with the skeleton ones. But
for the like I can't think penny wise, like the
killer clown sweatshirt, want a balloon?
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Usually pack that up for Halloween.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Just ski It's just sad. Yeah, you know, if you're
a huge fan, then I guess I can understand. Yeah,
a lot.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
It's the Christmas feel like this is such a build
up and then it's just gone in a day.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
Christmas is a lot bigger though, Like after that there's
a huge letter.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
No, I know, I feel thank God, thank God. After
Halloween we have Christmas, like I have something to look
forward to. I have a nine ft gringe in my
home right now, you know, and I have that. So
my dad was here this weekend and I have never
I have heard people tell me about this happening. I
have yet to experience this like personally to me. I'd
(14:20):
just like to start off this conversation by saying that
I understand that there are people in this world that
don't think young kids should be in restaurants, and I
know that that is a real thing for a lot
of people. There's a funny meme going like not meme,
a real going around of a woman and she's like,
why are you bringing your babies to breweries? We don't
want your babies at breweries. And then it flashes to
(14:42):
a guy and he's like, I like to drink beer,
and I like to, like, you know, have sex. So
I have kids and I like to drink beer. So
that's why I bring my kids to breweries. I mean, like,
that's why I get but I do get it. There's
a lot of people that don't think kids should be
in restaurants, and I have that my and I really
tried to like cater to that in a sense. I
(15:04):
don't go out late. I mean, we're home by seven,
So I bring my kids out to restaurants so that
they learn how to be at restaurants. If I don't
bring them out to restaurants, they're not gonna know, Hey,
we're in a restaurant. You don't stand like that. Hey
you're we're in a restaurant. You have to use a
lower voice, like I have to put them in those
situations for them to learn.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
I also feel like the people complaining on the ones
who don't have kids, and that's in mentality before, but
afterwards they understand.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Yeah maybe.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
So we go out to a restaurant Saturday night, myself,
the fireman, my dad, obviously, the two girls. It's not
even five thirty, like we waited until days I got
out from her nap. We left like thirty minutes later,
so's it's in my again. I like to have them
home at seven so I can do bath in bed,
like I don't go out at like late night party time,
(15:55):
right like adult time.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
I don't. I don't do that. So we get to there,
we sit our table and there's a couple next to us.
Lady man I would say probably.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
Sixty if I had to guess, And I immediately like
look at the fireman and give them the eyes because
not trying to hide it at all.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
They flag over the waiter and ask to be moved.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
Oh no, this is instantly.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Son didn't even give the kids a second to show that,
like they've done this before. And I keep I keep
replaying this whole scenario in my head and I'm kind
of mad at myself because I feel like I really then.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Even beyond cater to them.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
But so they flag over the waiter they want to
be moved. The waiter's like, oh, I'm sorry, the only
empty other there's one other empty table, and he's like
that one. There's a reservation and they're coming in soon.
So they order their meal, they eat half of their plate,
raise their hand, ask for the check. During this timeframe,
there's a couple times where Daisy like turns around and
(17:01):
smiles at the guy, and the lady looks at me
and she goes, babies always love him, and I, you know,
I have a little back and forth with her, but
clearly evident that they wanted to get the hell out
of there. But I was so my anxiety was so
high after they had asked to move that we ordered
the kid's food, ordered ours, and I told them to
(17:23):
just wrap our food up.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
I didn't want.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
Didn't he want to stay.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
And I'm mad that I did that now because they
left and we could have had our meal there and stay.
But I thought, okay, they want to leave there. It
was tight quarters in there. Now it's uncomfortable. I'm going
to be worried about everything these two do, even though
they were very well behaved, like they just wanted their
food and you know, it wasn't that bad. And I've
(17:50):
been I've been there in the restaurant when it's been bad,
and I've been like, everybody's foods to go, we're out
of here. Yeah, it was me feeling the anxiety of Okay,
well now they're mad and I'm ruining their dinner. God
only knows if they're celebrating what this is and I
just want to go.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
The part about this one that I really don't like
is that they had the idea in their head before
you guys even sat down and experienced anything. And that's
the part that really sucks.
Speaker 11 (18:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
Also you also have to assume that they're in their sixties,
that they must have gone through this or have some
relation to kids or something where they understand that. Yeah,
that's a part that's.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Like it reminds me of like being on an airplane
and your kids are acting bad, Like no one feels
worse than the actual parent themselves. So even upon walking
in that restaurant, I'm I'm like, it's game time now,
I'm ready. I got the books, I got the krans
I were. The only thing we couldn't action was our phones,
which we might have tossed on. We didn't really need
(18:44):
to at that time, but just in case to have backup.
We had no service. We have never Ducksbury's like a
black hole of service. But I think the worst part
of it was they flagged the waiter over in front
of us. Had one of them done the pretend I'm
going to go to the bathroom and maybe done it
away from me, I would have felt a little bit better.
But it was directly in front of us. Then I
knew they wanted to move. Then I knew they couldn't.
(19:05):
Then I watched them order their dinner, which was expensive,
took three bites each check place.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
Did you hear them ask to be moved and did
they give a reason?
Speaker 1 (19:16):
No, just ask if they could move to that. They
pointed to the only other empty table in the restaurant.
Again tight quarters, but not I mean again, it was
five thirty, it wasn't seven thirty or eight pm.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
I'm very conscious of that. I don't want to be
out with them that late. I don't want them out
that late.
Speaker 3 (19:33):
Listen, I would say this, I wouldn't say this is
somebody who had bad kids. But your kids aren't bad,
and you're very cognizant of what's going on. Like around you.
There are other people who I knew they don't care
and they have animals. You don't have that, And I
feel like you also would have explained to them. I
had some conversation with them, which possibly would have made
the whole situation better. They hadn't like in their head before.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
I literally am so aware of how they're being at
the restaurants. Again, There's been times where we sit down
and me and me and him can tell right away
it's gonna be one of those nights. Nobody's gonna want
to sit down, nothing's gonna make them happy. We get
our stuff to go, like, I'm not playing these games.
But again, it's these older adults or adults who are
(20:14):
at a restaurant at five pm when you damn well
know it's family time. You damn well know there's gonna
be kids at die restaurant, and you're mad that we've
brought our kids there when we are trying to teach
them and coach them up on how to be at restaurants.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
When do you want me to go.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Right and it's a restaurant. It's a social gathering place
with families, right, I guess not like if you went
out to a club on a Saturday night. That's a
different story. Restaurant where we congregate to eat, it should
be okay.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
In my in my humbled opinion, especially now that I
have kids five to seven, Like, if I'm going to
a restaurant, I am it's kind of like a layup
that I'm running into kids because again, this is pre
pre bad time. This is when they eat, we had
to feed them. Yeah, And it just upsets me because
if I don't take them to the restaurants, they're never
going to be where you want them to be at
(21:10):
a restaurant where you want them to be sitting, you
want them to be quiet, you want them to do
all these things. Well, if they're not in that setting, bitch,
they're not gonna know.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
I would still take them, like every single time, because
I think those two people are just miserable.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Oh dude, We're like in the car and we have
the food to go, and let's be honest, the food
to go is never going to hit the same way.
And we were rushed to get out of there and
I keep like replaying it in my mind because I'm like,
they left anyway. I wish I never did that, But
how would I have known that they were going to
take two bites of their salmon and leave.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Yeah, it just it ruined the whole thing, and I'm
just damn it. I'm mad at myself.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
I've never had that. The only situation I've had like
that where the person instantly was like, I need to
move was on an airplane. He moved the seat the
minute we sat down, And like I even thought that
that was a little bit like unfair because you didn't
know that if my kids were going to behave or
they weren't. Yeah, in that situation, and that's what the client.
My kids were miserable, So he had the right idea,
but he.
Speaker 10 (22:03):
Didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Like at the point, listen, we were on a flight once.
Uh we had just had Leila at the time, and
you know, the fireman stayed to say sorry to people,
and they were like, we couldn't even hear you know,
it's all again, it's.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Us right, Like it's us in our head and we're
so worried about it.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
And the fact that we didn't even I didn't even
have the baby in her high chair and he called
over the waiter. It was just but I'm sure other
people have been through it, and I'm sure I could
get somebody to call it now and be like, they
shouldn't be at a restaurant.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
But I will argue with you then when when when
should I.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
Like, what's the age?
Speaker 11 (22:39):
Right?
Speaker 3 (22:39):
When? No, that's stupid.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
You should be allowed there, like right six one seven,
nine three one one nine four five six one seven
nine three one one nine four five. I call those
like teachable moments, and I can't teach them if you
don't want me to bring that.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
It's not a PM. We're not taking shots at five. Well,
I have Hi, everybody, good morning. It's actually in the
Jaybid Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
This happened to me on Saturday night, and I've been
like dying to talk to you guys about it today
because listen, I know there are a lot of people
who believe that US parents with young kids like littles
maybe five and unders, shouldn't be at restaurants. And I
will argue you to the death on this because my
(23:24):
point is if we don't take them two restaurants, by
the way, at an appropriate time, you have a two
or three year old.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
In a bar after eight pm, you got bigger issues
like for what like that's.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
But between like a four and seven time frame, I
know if I go to a restaurant at that time,
I'm going to see a kid because if we can't
take them to the restaurants, they're never going to know
how to behave at the restaurant. That couple on Saturday
didn't even give me a chance to show that my
kids were going to be well behaved at this restaurant.
The second we sat down, they waved over the waiter,
(23:56):
asked to be moved. There was nowhere for them to
be moved. It was painfully, painfully uncomfortable, to the point
where I was like, let's just get our food to
go and leave.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
It felt so weird. Anonymous is in Bill Ricca. I'm
kind him.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
I now I'm fighting myself, Anonymous, because I'm mad that
I did that, because they took three bites of their
meal and left, which was also just like okay, I mean,
you probably spent what one hundred bucks to take two
bites and leave when the kids weren't even being that bad.
But again, it's in that early timeframe where I feel
like there's going to be kids at restaurants.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
It's it's I don't I don't know what else to do.
Speaker 8 (24:35):
Hello, Hi, Hi.
Speaker 6 (24:38):
Yeah, So first off, I just want to apologize that
that actually happened to you.
Speaker 10 (24:43):
That's horrible.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
Oh well ho hey, they didn't care and they were
you know what.
Speaker 6 (24:48):
I used to feel so nervous when I first had
my baby because I used to bring her out all
the time because I had a winter baby, so I
was stuck in the house. Yeah, and when I finally
got to go outside, and you know, there was a
point in time where she would cry all the time
and I would feel like, oh my god, people are
staring at me.
Speaker 10 (25:04):
I need to leave.
Speaker 6 (25:04):
Now, being a mother, I wish someone would do that
to me because and God never puts me in this
predicament for things like that to happen to me, because
I would say something, people have no decency for moms
these days.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
Yeah, it was.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
It was a very it's a strange feeling. But again,
I feel like I'm the opposite. I'm like, oh my god,
now how do I cater to them? Even more like,
how do I make it's? Yeah, well, that's again, that's
I mean you feel I don't. I don't know if
they're celebrating a birthday. But again, let me just also,
I did the kids weren't being bad because I'd be
the first one to say these mofos were acting nets
(25:41):
because I've done it before where I've literally packed it up,
we sit down, it's not a good vibe. We leave
because I'm not ruining the people's time. But we've also
had great times where they're extremely well to hate. You
don't know, they're little, they're one in three.
Speaker 6 (25:54):
But yeah, you feel the need to cater to other
people while you're out with your family.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
Because I guess because I think to myself, is this
the one time of month they were able to get out?
Speaker 2 (26:04):
Have they not seen each other in a while? Are
they celebrating?
Speaker 1 (26:07):
But again, nothing bad was happening, But I guess my
mind goes, I just don't like to ruin other people's times,
even though they were people.
Speaker 6 (26:15):
Yeah, I'm sorry, what was that?
Speaker 3 (26:18):
Know that she's just considerate to other people and that's
not a bad thing.
Speaker 10 (26:22):
No, it's not a bad thing at all.
Speaker 6 (26:24):
But what if that was like your your guys's time
to actually get out of the house to do something
with it was your kids. You know, I feel like
people all have to be considerate. Like I totally understand
Sante that she was being considerate, but this actually makes
me a little emotional because it brings me back to
when I was postpartum.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
Oh well, she's emotional.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Yeah, I get it.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
Okay, let's go back real quick.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
Horrible, No, it is horrible, And I think my whole
thing was if they could have asked to be moved
away from me so I didn't see it, it felt
a lot better. But Anonymous, thank you for understanding where
I'm at a I appreciate you. Jocelyn is an Auburn
mom of three. You're now the person that doesn't want
to sit.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
Next to people with kids.
Speaker 8 (27:11):
I asked, yahi me. I listened to your whole story,
and I have empathy for you because that was me.
Here's my perspective someone with three small kids. I would
go out to restaurants, but I always make sure it
with family friendly restaurant, which I would consider any team restaurant.
(27:31):
But if you are going to like an upscale place,
it's a different vibe, it's a different setting, and I
do think you need to be aware of others. So
my kids would be trained at like these regular restaurants,
which would be any like you know, Italian olive garden,
stuff like that. Tho, I would take the kids. I
(27:53):
think they're expected to be there, But if I went
somewhere fancy, the kids were not coming where they already
knew how to behave. Yeah, and now that my youngest
is eighteen, I have to add in there. I'm also
an educator. So if I go to a restaurant and
I'm sitting next to young kids, I'm not giving the
family a chance and get me out of here. I'm
(28:14):
with kids my whole life. I'm with kids at work.
I need a break. And it's not that you're a
bad time or that your kids are going to be bad.
But for sure I've sat next to families in nice
restaurants where the kids are completely out of control, and
we don't have time as people without the kids there
to sit and guess if you're going to do something.
(28:35):
A lot of times people don't, so I'd rather avoid
the whole situation. So I think being someone who was you,
I would look at it from a different perspective.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
No, and that's that's why we're having the Congress. I mean,
that's why I think I responded the way I did
right where I didn't stay.
Speaker 8 (28:49):
I we packed been I've done that, yeah, I have.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
I will argue with you on the chain.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
I think if you go in my opinion, at a
certain time, I wasn't out of fanc restaurant. I was
at a bar restaurant like.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
My husband too.
Speaker 10 (29:03):
I agree, totally.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Trust me. That's questionable and I'm with you on that.
Thank you for the call.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
But you see what I mean, Like, there are people
like She's like, I don't even give the parents a
chance to the phones are going crazy.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
This is certainly a hot topic, you know.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
I just think it's crazy. Jocelyn's like, yeah, you can
act like an animal if it's a ninety nine or
apple bean.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Yeah, there's there's standards to this.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
But if you're at and I want to know what
she deems like a nice but again, I like, that's her,
she's a round kids.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
How would I know that?
Speaker 1 (29:35):
That's why I again trying to be considerate of all.
But you didn't even they didn't even give us a
singular chance.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
Yes, and that's the point. Give the person a chance.
What if you're pleasantly surprised. The kids will well behaved.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
H Again, I am so cognizant of my surroundings and
nobody loves their kids.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
I love my kids. Do you think I wanted to
bring them?
Speaker 3 (29:56):
Do you think I want to bring them?
Speaker 2 (29:58):
I absolutely did not. But yeah, that that elderly couple
in Ducks Brady, it really rattled.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
You can go to Fridays and be fine.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
You know what, I'm hitting the ninety nine. I want
to get some what do they call it? The Hot Honey.
Speaker 6 (30:11):
Show?
Speaker 4 (30:11):
And you need to know we got you three things
you need to know on Bustin's number one for hip
hop and the best throwbacks you haven't any more.
Speaker 6 (30:20):
Five.
Speaker 5 (30:21):
I gotta play better for this team down the road.
I think you know it's it's tough. It's tough for
the game where you win and you can fill in
that locker room that that this guys know we can
play better and it's a good feeling to have. But
also the same time, it's tough to win in this league,
so you gotta enjoy it.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Monday, November third, and you know what, there's always room
for growth, There's always room for a lesson, even when
you win.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Says our QB one.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
Drake May, you know, my dad is just he's a bitter,
bitter old man, and he's a bitter Browns fan.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
And after the game you say that Patriots get a
little luck again.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
Hey, yeah, we'll take the missed field goal, all right,
twenty four to twenty three, barely getting past the Falcons.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
But like Drake May said, a win is a win.
It's not easy in this lake.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
And listen, no offense, your dad, but you can't call
it luck if they're seven to two.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
No offense to my dad. He's a Browns fan. They're bitter.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
You know what he said to me as soon as
he woke up yesterday morning grabbing my coffee. The Browns
one today they had a buy. Okay, they didn't even play,
but he considers that all yeah true, And like you said, son,
seven and two, putting them there for the season, and
that's better than a lot of records in the NFL.
You know, my super Bowl though, not this win. CARDI
(31:31):
b being at the game, so many of you guys
that listened to the show messaged me you and Santy
thought they were done yet, And I still stand by that.
I still think maybe they were arguing something was going on.
Cuse remember, in the midst of her not showing up
for games, Stefan Ding's got his first touchdown as a
Patriot last week and we didn't nothing.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
That's the week for whatever. It was, not a peep.
But she's back.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
But could it have been that she was just focusing
on the album and keeping their relationship off of social
could have but.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
She has But but when she was promoting the album,
she was posting him.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
Yes, so what happened I understand because it's not in
her nature not to post her something.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
That's my girl. Listen, the Chiefs got Tailor, we got Cardi,
and I'm proud of it.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
I just think she you know, you know how she
gets when she's upset, and maybe that was her way
of punishing him. Either way, she is back, looking beautiful, happy,
hanging out with Robert Kraft in a suite, and even
giving us a little postgame presser.
Speaker 3 (32:25):
Hey, how are you doing today?
Speaker 2 (32:26):
We're doing really great, doing really good.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
Okay, what's your name with you?
Speaker 12 (32:30):
From?
Speaker 2 (32:31):
My name is Party?
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Off of the brawl in the house. Let's go, we
see the fit. Just fiberflies like quick.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
We'll take it down.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
Hello.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Her miss said this a little bit nicely modest. You
know what I'm saying is how you doing?
Speaker 1 (32:49):
What? Cereal?
Speaker 3 (32:50):
Okay? Okay? Were we at?
Speaker 1 (32:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (32:52):
Did you let stadio?
Speaker 1 (32:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (32:54):
We are having a little tea party.
Speaker 10 (32:57):
Yeah yeah, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
How you enjoying the game?
Speaker 2 (33:01):
Big TD party? Bigd Okay?
Speaker 3 (33:04):
How do you enjoy the game TD? Big TV TD?
Speaker 2 (33:09):
I feel like the who's there?
Speaker 1 (33:11):
Because when they when he scored and they showed her,
the smile on my face was so big because I
didn't want to for the last couple of weeks say
I thought they were broken up.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
I want them together. I was so happy to see
her at the Lett Stadium. By the way, here he
is after the game.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
To be able to go out there and will to
a win, I'll take that any day.
Speaker 8 (33:30):
And I'm wrong with Drake.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
May see him played well and mishaps are going to happen.
Stuff happens. Protect the guy with the ball and continue
to have his back.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
You just love to see it. The Pats are back
in action Sunday against the Bucks. We've been waiting on
these bad Larry's. We were rooting and we got them.
Our first look at Diddy behind bars. New photos have
surfaced of him.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
I'll be honest with you, in high spirits.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
He looks happy.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
He looks happy.
Speaker 1 (33:57):
He was smiling with some of his fellow in a
Fort Dick's there in New Jersey. He was spotted wearing
a gray sweatsuit and that wasn't the only thing that
was gray. Yeah, he was great, but again, chilling happy.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
I just think we're not used to seeing him with
a great beard. I think that is the problem there.
But he did look very happy. He looked like he
was hanging out with his boys, and like, it doesn't
look that bad that.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
It didn't give like Grandpa grey. It gave seasoned gray
to me. And there's certainly a difference there. It wasn't
like it wasn't bad to me.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
It also didn't seem like he was at a prison,
where like it was a dangerous place. Obviously it's jail,
and yes, I understand that, but it seemed like they
were just hanging.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
We know it's jail.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
Let me repeat, we know he is in jail, but
the way it's being described to us, Fort Dix is
a luxury jail.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
Yeah, it's jail.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Nonetheless, you don't want to be there. But if he's
gonna be it's luxury.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
Like summer camp.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
We've seen photos of celebrities locked up and sometimes it's
there you can sense the sadness.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Did he look like he was the popular kid at
the lunch table?
Speaker 3 (34:59):
I mean, he's probably has to be if you start
thinking about like if they're thinking about commissary and they
getting some cash.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
H said he thrived in there, welling in like a
maximum security in Shirley.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
Right instead still like it, yeah, at different times all right.
Speaker 1 (35:15):
Lastly, Offset is being sued by a security guard who
says he assaulted him earlier this year. Jim Sanchez says
that Offset attacked him in a dispensary in La back
in March.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
He says that Offset just plushed him in the face, it's.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Not funny, and several members of offsets entourage then also
laid hands on him like it's it sounds like he
got bet up. He's suing for assault, battery, and emotional distress.
OFFSET team says that Sanchez was actually the aggressor in
the situation.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
So I'm assuming OFFSET plans on fighting these charges.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
Well that's what I was gonna ask. What cause this
whole thing? Because Offset doesn't seem like he fights a lot,
right fight or.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
Maybe like well, yeah, his team might like he throw
a hand here and there, but it seems like his
team kind of does the work for him. But why
are we fighting, Like we're at a weed this punch
for you, like, let's have let's smoke some weed and chill,
Let's eat a gummy and relax.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Why are we fighting?
Speaker 3 (36:13):
Well, there also has to be footage of the whole
altercation too, which come usually drop the footage.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
Yeah, you're gonna have a lot.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
But it's strange because every time I think of these dispensaries,
a lot of times they have a security guard there.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
And he was the security guard. So what happened?
Speaker 3 (36:26):
Maybe it was a Stephan Diggs joke Stephan is better
than you or something like that, wow, and he popped off.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
You're not going to do that. That are three things
need to know for Monday, November the thid.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
We're in a battle here, people, It is a battle
os vers Kiss want to wait for the number one
preset spot. You know, I don't want any I don't
want any to create a war or anything, but I
put our show against any show in the world, and
you know, we have some people listening between both shows,
and you might have kisses your number one pre.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Set, but it's not they get enough. Yeah, they get enough.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
They get all the prizes, they get all the good things.
Slide us over to that number one spot so we
can at.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
Least have this. It's like in Star Wars did the
Evil Empire? You know where the good guys? Yeah, that's
basically it.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
I like that, right, we're the good guys. Make us
number one on your preset on the iHeart Radio app.
Good Morning, Dashi in the.
Speaker 4 (37:16):
Morning Show, Good Morning Bastin's number one for hip hop
jamming ninety four five.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
Hi everybody, Good morning, Sashly in the jam In Morning Show.
I hope you had a great holiday weekend. I myself,
I feel like this tightness in my chest. I can't
believe Halloween has passed. You know, at least we have
Christmas to look forward to, because Mariah Carey has officially
told us it's time.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
Thank God. But how was your weekend? What did I miss?
Did you have a good Halloween? All the things?
Speaker 1 (37:44):
Call me and tell me anything you want, whatever's going
on in your world? Six one seven nine three one

three one one nine four five. We're gonna kick it
off with Michelle and Arlington.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
Hi, Michelle the Morning.
Speaker 10 (38:00):
Money. How are you well?
Speaker 2 (38:02):
You know, I'm good. I'm sad Halloween is gone, but
at least we have you know, Christmas? Can I be
honest with you, You're not a Halloween person.
Speaker 10 (38:13):
I'm not a holiday person whatsoever?
Speaker 1 (38:15):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (38:16):
Like, don't even care about Sannah?
Speaker 8 (38:19):
Nope?
Speaker 1 (38:20):
Wow, God, I wish I had a little bit of
that in me because I'm on the opposite ending.
Speaker 2 (38:24):
I'm way too much. I put way too much into Yeah,
way too much. So you did you put candy out
for the kids or like, you really don't care?
Speaker 10 (38:36):
This was our first year without any kids?
Speaker 2 (38:39):
Okay? Are they in college?
Speaker 6 (38:40):
Are they?
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Where are they?
Speaker 10 (38:43):
I don't have kids myself. Oh but the kids that
live around us are all grown up now.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
So oh man, so you really were just escaping. What
did you do with your time? How was your weekend?
Speaker 10 (38:57):
My weekend was good. I watched a lot of ghost
hunting shows.

I want to go to Shannon in Fall River.
Speaker 2 (42:52):
Shannon is proud of herself. But Shannon, I'm proud of you.
Speaker 1 (42:56):
I have many friends who have been addicted to many
different things in my life. I've lost friends to addiction,
and this is a massive number. And I'll let you
say it. I don't want to take that from you,
but I'm proud of you too. Tell everybody how many
years clean you are.
Speaker 8 (43:14):
I'm about to have five years.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
Five years, bitch. We're doing it tough. Yes, that is
not easy.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
Every day, I'm sure is a struggle for you. Give
us your story a little bit in like less than
a minute.
Speaker 8 (43:30):
Well, just basically I got clean, like five years at all,
just because my SIGNI inspired me.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
Once I had him.
Speaker 10 (43:36):
It's just everything changed changed my whole life around. And
I'm just really proud of myself.
Speaker 8 (43:40):
You know, I came a long way and I just
wanted to share and hope everybody had a great, blessed day.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
There's somebody listening that can't get clean, and they're trying
so hard, and they probably feel like the the deck
is stacked up against them, that no one has their back,
that they're all alone, to that person that's very close
to rock bottom, what would you tell them?
Speaker 2 (43:59):
What would should their first step be?
Speaker 9 (44:03):
Just don't give up and just keep going. Every day
is a different day, and you have something you need
to do every day. Just don't give up on yourself
and just keep fighting.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
That's what I did. Don't give up on yourself. Keep Yeah,
and you had something to fight for.
Speaker 1 (44:16):
And and that's amazing to be able to show your
son that. So congratulations on five years clean.
Speaker 10 (44:24):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 9 (44:25):
I hope everybody has a great day.
Speaker 2 (44:26):
You're welcome, bab. I say this all the time when
we get calls like that.
Speaker 1 (44:30):
We're not experts in any department, like religious in life,
but we do have resources and people we know that
we could send you to. So if you're somebody that's struggling,
please make sure you call us and we'll get you
into the right hands. Let's go to Miss Susie in Dorchester. Well,
like there's a lot of kids' sports happening right now.
Miss Susie also wants to give a shout out, this
(44:51):
time to the Boston Raiders.
Speaker 12 (44:55):
Yes, Boston Raiders, nigh you, congratulations on your tries to
championship and congratulations to.
Speaker 10 (45:02):
All the coaches that are working with our team. Thank
you for all your efforts and your time of volunteerment
for our youth in Boston.
Speaker 12 (45:09):
Shout out to the Boston Raiders now you congratulations and
next week we're gonna repay the regional championship. So look
out for us online and you know support.
Speaker 2 (45:19):
The kids love that and you know what, Miss Susie,
I didn't even think about that. You're right.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
These coaches are out here giving up their whole weekends
and their time, maybe their own time with their own
kids to coach.
Speaker 2 (45:30):
So that's a that's a beautiful thing.
Speaker 8 (45:32):
Yeah, that's a good thing.
Speaker 9 (45:33):
So we're on the road to Nationals, so we're gonna
be out.
Speaker 8 (45:36):
You're gonna see us out there.
Speaker 12 (45:39):
Can in remember us put a couple of dollars in
the pocket, and also you can go online. This week
we're celebrating fifty years of the Bartis Raiders. They're having
a galap but you can also look us up online
Boston Raiders and make sure that you contribute to the
kids because this is also an organization that helps with
a lot of prevention of having kids out on the street.
Speaker 10 (46:01):
It gives the kids something to do.
Speaker 12 (46:04):
And to keep them confident and in a tri state,
which is cognificantly. So we're representing Boston. Remember Boston Righters.
Now you are coming next week. Regional support, support the
kids in Boston.
Speaker 2 (46:16):
Get the kids off the screens and onto the field.
I like it, Miss Susie.
Speaker 10 (46:22):
Potatoes.
Speaker 12 (46:23):
Get them out your ass right.
Speaker 1 (46:25):
That's right, Thank you so much for the call. You
know that brings me to this thought. These coaches are
like dedicating their time. They're out there. They're doing it
for free. Yeah, you're about to be a middle school
coach as well. Are you doing it for free?
Speaker 3 (46:39):
I'm not doing it for free. I'm also ready too
if they want to know, question my doing it for free?
Speaker 2 (46:45):
Will fight parents.
Speaker 1 (46:47):
Ye, if you're at the Hollis Middle School girls basketball coach,
trust and believe they offered this man a little bit
of money. Okay, Hi everybody, good morning, Hi, everybody, good morning.
It's sashling the gym in morning show. One thing of
addiction is that it really does touch almost everybody in
some sort of way, whether it's not directly. You might
know somebody who has maybe a child or a parent
(47:10):
that's dealt with it, whatever the case may be just
talking to that girl. Being five years cleen is such
an amazing thing, and I knew it was going to
touch people, and we got this talk back.
Speaker 7 (47:23):
I just want to leave a shout out to the
woman that talked about being five years sober and she
did it because she got pregnant with her son as
a child, as somebody who had two drug addicted, alcoholic
abusive parents.
Speaker 2 (47:35):
I can't thank you enough. I cannot thank you enough.
You just made my day.
Speaker 7 (47:39):
Harnie.
Speaker 2 (47:39):
All the blessings to you. You should be very proud.
Speaker 1 (47:42):
Of yourself.
Speaker 2 (47:44):
Because you know she was able to do it. But
I think you just heard there that not everybody is.
Speaker 1 (47:49):
You know, a lot of people have to legit hit
a rock bottom, and even then clearly some people can't
do it.
Speaker 3 (47:56):
I can't relate because I never struggle with addiction, but
the struggle is really real, and the stories I've heard
are like crazy, yeah, but it's impressive to see these
people come out of like literally the depths of hell,
oh my god.
Speaker 1 (48:07):
I mean yeah, I've I've obviously never I'm not an addict,
but I have lost friends to addiction, and I know
that it was just not like a daily struggle. It's
like a by minute, yeah, because most of the time,
the only thought is like how do I get high again?
Where do I go to get high again? How am
I going to get high again? All day, every day,
(48:28):
every second.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
And then also even when you get clean, and Justin
talks about this all the time from down the hall,
he just says like it's even now, it's always a
thought process, and it's like, I.
Speaker 1 (48:37):
Mean, he's been clean for so long, he's he speaks
at like conventions now, yet it's still it's a it's
definitely also too like a personality trait. So he'll even
say like, no, I'm not addicted to drugs anymore, but
I have something else that he you know, sneakers And
let's go on, you guys, don't even draw my god
tests won such a fun game. A oh man, you
(49:03):
know what, We're gonna continue the check in six one seven, nine, three,
one one nine four five call us good morning, Hi, everybody,
good morning.
Speaker 2 (49:10):
It's Ashley and the jam In Morning Show. Didn't see
this coming, but that's what the check in is all about.
Speaker 1 (49:16):
We had a girl call in and say she's five
years clean, and we were just kind of having a
discussion about how hard that is, Like it's a daily struggle,
and we're all kind of touched in some sort of
way with addiction. Obviously, Santing and I have never we're
not addicts, but you know, I've lost many people in
my life to addiction. Melinda is checking in from Alston
(49:37):
four years clean, babe, amazing, First and foremost, Yes, thank you,
thank you, You're welcome. I know, I again, I know
it's a daily struggle. And I actually have a lot
of people dming me now because I was saying a
lot of times addicts once they're they can get clean
of the drug of choice, the addiction that that that
like kind of chip in your brain goes to something else.
Speaker 9 (49:59):
Right, it does, it does, I must say. And mine's
is shopping. I like to shop, and yeah, yes it can,
Yes it can. I am a a chacoholic now, but
I'd rather say that than I am an alcoholic.
Speaker 3 (50:16):
Now.
Speaker 1 (50:17):
Well, listen, I was just about to say, if we
compare it, I think I would take you buying one
too many pairs of shoes? Did you what?
Speaker 2 (50:27):
What was your what was your moment four years ago
that you were like enough is enough?
Speaker 9 (50:34):
I sat in myself like it was three point thirty
in the morning.
Speaker 11 (50:37):
I remember it clear as day, and I had a
beer and a nip in my hands, and I'm very
spiritual and I'm sitting there and I'm drinking it, and I'm.
Speaker 9 (50:46):
Like, Lord, this is not me, Please take this away
from me, and that that instant, it was like gone.
I never had the desire.
Speaker 11 (50:58):
I never was tempted. My family members didn't want to
drink around me. But it didn't phaze me. It didn't
bother me at all. It was like if I never
drank at all. It was such amazing feeling. And if you,
you know, just put God in your life and just
really truly mean it when you go before him, and
(51:18):
he'll work it.
Speaker 9 (51:19):
Out for you, and he'll work it out. No desires
after that whatsoever.
Speaker 2 (51:24):
Most of the time when we hear rock Bottom stories,
they're a lot different than that. So that's amazing for
rock Bottom.
Speaker 9 (51:31):
Yes, it was the reason why I became an alcoholic
is because I was in a mentally abusive relationship and
I've been married like for thirty four years. Wow, And
I was just like okay, wow, So I turned to
the alcohol that I turned, you know, drinking real heavy
but then I came up out of that, and I
came up strong and victorious, and I praised God.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
For crushing it. And you keep spending, find yourself deals,
do what you can.
Speaker 9 (52:00):
Yeah, right right, you know, you just pray for all
those out there that's struggling with a did shit. But
it's not easy. It is hard. Just don't forfeit your
clean time. Take one day at a time, yes, and
don't forfeit it.
Speaker 1 (52:14):
I like that, don't forfeit your clean time. Well, thank
you so much for the coll Congratulations on four years, Melinda.
Speaker 2 (52:18):
That's amazing.
Speaker 9 (52:19):
Thank you, and God bless everybody you as well.
Speaker 1 (52:22):
And what I love about this show is, you know
we could have serious conversations like that. And now I'll
let Sandy make the joke that I know he's been
desperate to make for the last two minutes
Speaker 3 (52:30):
About which addiction of yours, the one that buying the
Halloween stuff or the Christmas stuff or the alcohol which
everyone
