(00:00):
All right, we got somebody joiningthe show here to chat with us.
Everybody welcome Steve O. Yeah,Hey, how are you man? Where
are you? Where are you comingto us from now today? Well?
I'm in West Palm Beach right now? All right, you're in Orlando tomorrow?

(00:21):
We are on in West Palm Beach. No, No, I'm in
Orlando on Sunday. Sorry, We'reon in West Palm Beach too, so
they can hear you down there aswell, if you've got so we're both.
Is this your hotel room that we'rein right now? It's a bus
for sure. You got the tourbus? Do you record your podcast on
that tour bus too? I do. I have a podcast sprinter vand that

(00:46):
we record in that stays in lA And the podcast is also recorded on
the bus which goes everywhere. Nice. All right, Well, so he's
on the move today. For thoseof you in West Palm Beach listen up.
And of course here in Orlando,we'll tell you where you can catch
Steve ow in just a little bit. Uh, had that whole penis tattoo
on the face thing go with withyour friend post malone? Recently? Did

(01:08):
that? Did that actually go throughall there it is right there. Oh,
it's beautiful. It's here very nicely. Yeah. Yeah, it's more
he's not like a really uh whereyou say, a super experienced tattoo artist,
right, yeah. Yeah, thatwas a little bit on the on

(01:34):
the wild side. But and uhit actually worked out pretty well because it's
classy. Yeah, it's it's it'sjust in there with with a nice light
touch and uh yeah, it's great. Good last he went with details in
all the right places. I thinkit really came out fantastic. How did

(01:56):
that come to fruition? This isthe first time hearing of this tattoo,
and it was supposed to happen forour last Jackass movie, Back Gass Forever.
Uh huh. We had postal onschedule. It was ready to go.
I got the design. Oh,he got the design ready to go.

(02:23):
Then what happened? His bus mightbe on the move right now,
so we might be in and outof uh already. Oh there you go.
There, you're back with us.You cut out for just a second
there. Anyhow, it looks fantastic. I got a couple questions for you,
just to roll through things, andwe'll talk about the gigs that you
got going on. Uh, whenyou look at yourself right now, where

(02:44):
you're at in your career. I'vefollowed you for a while, watched like
all your old videos and stuff, and one thing that blows my mind is
that you went on this journey ofsobriety getting away from all these drugs,
and that's crazy for just a normalperson. But you were doing this on
a real high level, like Snooter'son planes kind of level. And do

(03:06):
you ever sit around just kind oflook around and find yourself amazed that you've
done what you've done in the worldof getting sober and getting away from all
of that stuff, Well, forsure, man, it's crazy, dude,
My most alcoholics and addicts don't getit, you know, like the
overwhelming majority of them never achieved longterm sobriety. So I don't know what

(03:34):
made me so lucky that I shouldbe just blessed with the willingness to really
dive in and commit to recovery andyou know, and to be able to
be clean and sober but still likeabsolutely nuts. Yeah, another rad blessing.
Yeah, Like that kind of pathI believe will inspire a lot of

(03:58):
people, if it hasn't already. You know, you think some people will
look at sobriety like, all right, you're going to be inside forever.
Now more fun things, but youhave obviously you're still having a good time,
You're still doing great work, andyou're fighting for what you believe is
right well and entertaining millions and thencan stay sober, which is incredible.

(04:23):
But yeah, a lot, Yeah, I appreciate that a lot. Now.
Candidly, I don't know that thepenis is going to last that long.
It's really mostly a gentleman's bed.To see how long before I get
it lasered off? Have you thoughtabout imagine vagina above. The other were
talking steelings and aspiring tattoos. Youknow how vaginas are terribly difficult to render,

(04:47):
and a tattoo speaks with knowledge ofthis. I think he's right.
I also had a penis tattoo fora short period of sorry, this is
nil. We've been doing the showfor eleven years, Steve O. And
you you you you designed the penistattoo and put it on my arm before
those the thing that lasted for liketwo weeks or something, and I'm in

(05:12):
public and people are pulling up thearms on my should let me see the
penis tattoo. I had done acaricature of ceiling and sean and not.
They weren't like grabbing hands, butthey were grabbing peens. We were shaking,
and I spent a lot of hours, I believe, trying to design
that and it's gone nice. Yeah, thanks, just a little bit about
me. Anyways, what on thisway? All right? Well, let

(05:36):
us know you had a gig.Do you have a gig tonight in West
Palm Beach? I do? Yeah. You know what I'm doing right now,
I'm putting together this this show I'vebeen working on it. These are
like experimental shows because my new touris called Stevo's Gone too Far, all

(05:58):
right? And what the experiment isto, I mean, this show explores
explores like where my line is,where where the line is in different situations
like what like has been too much? You know? Like for example,
like there were things that were filmedfor Jackass that were uh, there was

(06:24):
no way that they were ever goingto be shown, and powers that be
would have wished for these things tobe scrubbed from existence, but unfortunately for
them, I have Oh my god, you'll probably have so much extra footage
I couldn't even imagine. Yeah.So that's what's so fun about this,

(06:46):
this show that I'm doing this weekend, is that everything that was just too
much and could not be shown me. I'm explaining various situations that went entirely
too far, and I'm showing thefootage. It's a multimedia show. It's
show and tell me, and andI'm kind of putting the feelers out there

(07:09):
because very shortly I'm gonna be gettinga boob job. What Yeah, And
I'm working on a bunch of stufflike are we talking like hand size or
supermodel? Bit? What are thesize you're going with Steve? Now?
Now, I'm not even sure ifold school STEVEO, if you went back

(07:30):
on a time machine, will bemore surprised by the sobriety or the boob
job idea. I'm not sure whichone would surprise more. Old school Steve
I would say, yeah, that'sprobably where the bar will be at.
Right skin, This is new tome, so I am looking at me
about it. You're not you're notwearing a shirt right now. You don't

(07:50):
look like you can hold a biggiant. I'm not able to do that
anymore. I'm fifty years old.So I've got elasticity and we've got we're
confirmed for d cups. Wow.What Yeah, congratulations. So there's just
a lot of things going on atonce, and it's uh, it's it's

(08:16):
it's been important for me to throwmyself into the fire and get this uh
and and uh, you know, get this show to take form, and
it's been it's been the greatest experiencefor me because uh, you know,
I've been able to uh genuinely horrifypeople with things that they, you know,

(08:39):
cannot believe happens. It's like, you know, a lot of a
lot of Canadians, they they reallyembellish their completely make up stories and I
don't. And not only do Inot embellish for makeup stories, like provide
their seats. You know, it'sa multi media show. And uh at

(09:00):
the show and tell going on,I will tell you to You're going to
be in Orlando at the Doctor PhillipsCenter. Okay, this is a really
fancy place. Have you ever beenthere? I think this I am assume
this is your first time at DoctorPhillips Center, right, yeah, it's

(09:20):
like it's super fancy. Your nextdoor to is yeah, Like this is
where they have lame mis and likeall the big, big fancy events in
town. So you're you're gonna bethe probably the raciest act that's that's ever
played. I'm going to be theonly legitimately triple X rated act. So

(09:46):
Steve Sunday two shows at the DoctorPhillips Center of the Alexis and Jimp Theater,
and then tonight in West Palm amI correct at the Crevice Center.
I'm doing the the improv at theCravis Center. Okay, these shows,
what's what's less the Steve O Tourrider? Like, what are your demands

(10:07):
backstage? Is there anything rock starryon there? Or is it all kind
of tame? Now? Yeah? What's on our rider? We have like
sparkling water, water and sparkling water. Is that my boss is dying to

(10:28):
know? Is that all your merchback there next to the toilet? Yeah,
a little bit of This man hasgot like a rock star bus and
he's just packed it all up withall the merch and the toilet behind him
right inside down. Just okay,Yeah, that'stle is real with them.

(10:48):
So we're we're proud of man. We're happy for you. The tour seems
to be going great. One thingI wanted to ask you what's crazy to
me is if you think back tothe beginning when you got involved with Johnny
Knox and all the folks in Jackass, things were so different then in as
much as you needed like a bigmagazine or a television network, or you

(11:09):
needed all these like huge corporations tobe able to get a group of people
together and make a video that peoplecould enjoy, right, you needed distributors
for videotapes, and you know, all these different things since you started this
out, and now we live ina world with things like YouTube and with
other platforms where you can even doa full on stand up I've seen a

(11:30):
lot of people do this South fromthe practical jokers. Just do this and
you can release it yourself on YouTubeand self finance all of these things.
And if you were to be startingall over again, your career would look
entirely different because it probably wouldn't beattached to MTV. It probably would be
you know, social media and allthese different things. Is do you think
it's better or worse now than itwas when you said all those things?

(11:52):
And such an interesting question, Hey, I can you ask Bruce not to
go into this barage just yet, yeah, Bruce or not? Go on?
Good on, Bruce. Yeah,it's a it's a really interesting question.
And uh worth noting that in twentythirteen, so now eleven years ago,

(12:13):
I really did start all over. You know. That was when when
I got on YouTube, and andthat's when I learned how to properly edit
footage on the computer myself, andhow I took out all of the uh
you know, the executive you know, jerks out of the equation who I
relied on in the past. Butlet's say, had I've been born a

(12:35):
full twenty years later, and thatwas just the landscape that I came up
in as a completely unknown quantity,I think it would be really, really
difficult to rise above all of thenoise. Yeah, you know, at
the time when I came up,it was about plugging VCRs together and it

(12:58):
hit it lay on one and hittingplay on one and report on the other
end, and duplicating videotapes that Ihad rudely edited, and then walking to
the post office and stepping up theenvelopes and mailing them to you know,
so there is just a lot lessstuff to compete with now. Nowadays,

(13:20):
everybody's got a cell phone or avideo camera in their pocket, like,
so yeah, I mean, Idon't know. I think it would have
been a lot more difficult. AndI just have to believe that I've always
been and and uh and and justam such a persistent bastard, you know,

(13:41):
I'm just such a relentless attention herthat I just believe isn't that I
would have done it? The driveis everything to me. The drive.
If you have the internal drive, people say you can be whatever you want
to be. That you know, caveats on that obviously, But if you
have the internal drive to do stuff, you're like compa hell to pull yourself

(14:01):
through hell and high water to yourgoal. You can't like instill that in
people, but clearly you have thatin you and you just were, you
know, determined to get where youare. So, you know, congratulations
to you. Congrats on these shows. Everybody go grab a ticket tonight at
the Cravis Center in West Palm Beachand on Sunday at the Doctor Phillips Center

(14:22):
in Orlando. And still, letme tell you, is this too that
you know by by design these roomsthat I'm doing tonight, Like I mean,
on this little run. There's smallrooms man the Cravit Center to Comedy
Club, the improv in the CravisCenter is where I'm at tonight, and

(14:43):
this Alexis and Jim Putter Theater. You know, it's two hundred and fifty
seats. It's like the smallest roomthey've got. So I'm looking to do
that like these again, it's workshopshows forrifying stuff, but really important for
developing this act. And uh,everybody who comes to these small workshop shows

(15:07):
I'm so grateful for because they're reallyproviding a soundboard like uh, you know,
they're they're like letting me kind ofput the feelers, have to figure
out what's actually too much, youknow, and and and so by design
the rooms are small, and uh, the audience size more manageable. So
I'm going back to my roots. And uh, you know, at the

(15:31):
end of the show, you know, I'm walking off stage after saying I'm
not going anywhere. I'm not doinganything until I take a photo with every
single person in the audience. SoI, uh, you know, I
can't do that when I'm in bigtheaters, and stuff like that just fell
off a long time ago. Andand now in this situation, doing these

(15:56):
these workshop shows and with the FreshPenis too. I want to make sure
that they can thank everybody in personand then everybody gets the Yeah, there
you go, give him my goodgive him my good side. There you
go, and uh you know what, you go see Steva, that's fun.
That's an intimate experience you're gonna get. You'll laugh, you'll have a

(16:17):
great time. Uh. And youcan do that in West Palm tonight in
Orlando on Sunday. Grab those whileyou can't. I'm sure they'll go quick.
He'll be tomorrow night too. Igot I got tonight and tomorrow night
and West Palm Friday, Saturday,West Palm Sunday in Orlando. What are
we gonna say? No, thatwas it? Okay? Uh, well,
good luck with the boobs and uh, if you do us for anything

(16:40):
in the state of Florida, SteveO, you hit us up and we'll
have you on whenever you'd like tojoin us. Man for sure, he
shout out to Mike. Yeah,he's super, super grateful for him.
Uh and uh, we've got alittle planned for after this show us.
The Sausage Castle is a real whot, I'll tell you that. Yeah,

(17:06):
but but I appreciate you guys somuch. It's a it's a very scary
time, but it's also a veryhilarious time, and everybody will find out
why. All Right, there wego, stay by, all right,
