Metal Gear Mondays is a deep-dive games-club podcast focused on covering everything Metal Gear, Death Stranding, and Hideo Kojima—featuring a revolving cast of guests and panelists.
This week (later than intended) we're concluding our coverage of Policenauts for the PlayStation and Sega Saturn.
We'd love to hear your thoughts on the game, whether you played along with us or not. If you want your messages read on the show, please reach out to us at contact@metalgearmondays.com
Jonathan is out. Ed is out. Alessio is out. Salvatore is out of his goddamn mind. It's a whole thing.
Acts 3, 4, and 5 are blasting into your ear drums starting NOW!
Our journey with the titular Policenauts continues.
This act has it all. Car chases, bomb diffusing, secret informers... uh... our partner's underage daughter? Oh, man... uh, shooting guns at a massquito swarm (not a typo)? Fondling-- no, no, I'm going to stop there.
POLICENAUTS!! YAY!
Hi, guys!
So, for whatever reason, Riverside (our new distribution and recording platform) decided that episodes can no longer be over three hours long. We're working with their support to see what can be done, but for the time being we're releasing the uncut versions of episodes over on the Patreon for $1+ supporters.
We'll keep everyone informed as to if this will be a permanent change or something temporary. Apologies ...
Unfortunately, we have to reschedule #253: Policenauts (1996) - Part 2 - Act 1 for next week. In lieu of this, enjoy a free episode from our Patreon-exclusive podcast "The Patriot Club".
We shall return with more Policenauts next week.
Big ups to 8BitUzz for the killer Instant Crush cover.
Continuing MGM's tour of everything we wish we would've covered years ago, we're settling our crosshairs on Policenauts. Specifically, we'll be talking about the PlayStation and Sega Saturn fan translations.
Gather some police friends, suit up in your retro future moon boots, get untethered, and prepare to go into cryo-sleep for 25 years, only for everyone you love to wither away in your absence. We're doin' th...

Our coverage of the main body of Snatcher is coming to a close, but our coverage will continue next episode, when we sit down and talk to Jeremy Blaustein, Supervisor on the Sega CD U.S. release of the game.
