Dear visitor, welcome to Antioch Waltham's sermon podcast. We are a non-denominational church in Waltham, MA. This library will give you a great way to get to know our values, beliefs and sermon style. We are looking forward to seeing you on Sunday. Check out our website to learn more about us and when and where we meet: https://antiochchurchwaltham.org
What is maturity? How can we move beyond the elementary stage?
What is a priest? Why is a priest needed? How should we respond to the truth that Jesus, God Himself in flesh, represents us as our High Priest?
Why does the Scripture command us to strive to enter into the rest? What kind of rest is the Scripture referring to? What is our role to enter into the rest?
We have a high priest who has been tempted in every aspect like us, yet without sin. What can we learn from the temptation Jesus has gone through?
We may be astonished at how Israelites still did not trust God after witnessing miracles upon miracles during and after the Exodus, yet the Scripture was written to encourage us today. So how can we respond to our unbelief towards God?
What does it mean that Jesus is perfect for the atonement? And what makes Jesus to be the perfect one?
What is drifting? What could cause us to drift? As the Scripture warned us of drifting, David reminded us of the significance to see Jesus as He is and offered us a few ways to respond.
When the season changes and the circumstance is shaken, we need to go to the Eternal One who is immutable, unchanging, unshakable.
The Buckners are back from their Sabbatical! Listen to their brief teaching on Sabbatical and their report on their Sabbatical.
We are starting off our summer Hebrew series! Mark gave us an overview of the book of Hebrews that thoroughly illustrated the superiority of Jesus (Heb 1 - 2: angels & Torah | Heb 3 - 4: Moses & the Promised Land | Heb 5 - 7: the priests & Melchizedek | Heb 8 - 10: the sacrifice & the Covenant). Do we attach ourselves purely to Jesus, or Jesus plus something else?
On our Youth Sunday, Naomi reminded us of the meaning and significance of Communion, and she charged us to hold unto the reverence for the sacrifice of the Lord.
Sean is the founder of Antioch New England. In his last message to the church he planted before his family moving away, he reminded us of God as a good good Father and encouraged us to carry on the mantle of spiritual parenthood.
The world we live in is warring against our patience. When God doesn't seem to answer the things we have been waiting for, how can we respond with integrity? This concludes our Minor Prophet Series.
Do you feel any pressure from expectations weighing on you? The action of faith is not to meet the expectation but to take the first step and trust that the Lord will complete it.
Our Minor Prophet Series resumes! Through the prophetic vision from Zechariah that has been fulfilled by the coming of our Savior, Katie reminded us of the joy that we have been fully liberated and our stain has been washed clean, and also that we are made new in Christ!
What is faith? What does "believing in Jesus" mean? How do we know if we have believed? Listen to Will's message that exhorts us to walk by faith.
If Christ has not risen, our faith will be futile. Why did Christ have to die? Why did Christ choose to die? We all need to hear this amazing news today.
On this Palm Sunday, Sean's message brought us back to the last hours of Jesus' earthly ministry, His prayer of unity over His followers and His agony in the garden. Through not merely what happened but why, God's character and His heart can be clearly seen.
Jesus, knowing that the Father had given him all authority, washed His disciples feet. He uses His absolute power for the purpose of human flourishing. How can we respond as people who have been blessed by His leadership?
We continue our Minor Prophet series to the next book Habakkuk. How did Habakkuk go from pain to praise, despair to hope, even when God's answer didn't meet his expectations? Marla opened up her own life and offered us practical ways to bring our suffering to God.
