We keep marching along towards being caught up on old episodes, with this one covering the Blood Diamond Chalice BloodBowl event, the 40k Big FAQ for spring 2019, White Dwarf Ynnari update, and some ideas for hobby supplies from unconventional sources.

This week's episode has a certain theme to it -- culture. We talk about one of the really cool local gaming events (Pow Town), veer off into video game territory a little bit to discuss the EA/BioWare culture shift, and bring it back around to talk about developing a good gaming culture at home.

We're working through the backlog of old episodes, starting with this discussion of updated 8th Edition codices for 40k, the Doom of Molech expansion for Titanicus, and (at long last) non-Imperial terrain.

You'll never guess who went to another Bloodbowl tournament (Cry Fowl Cup)! We also dig into some hobby content, specifically some ideas for converting Imperial Assassins so you don't have to spend $300. To wrap things up we talk about how your army/collection evolves over time, and then we close with a quick review of Paint Pucks that Ward grabbed at the LVO.

The band is back together again, so that means it's time for some post-LVO chat! There's a section on scratch-building terrain sandwiched in between Steve and Ward's LVO rundown and a discussion about painting to a rubric for best presentation. As usual, we have some strong feels about that.

Army painting is top of mind in this final pre-LVO episode. The Warhound Titan list from 40k gets us chatting about skew lists before we break into the hobby content, talking about Army Painter washes and the idea that maybe finishing a Warmachine faction isn't as easy as we'd like to think.

For this week's episode of "seriously, what can we talk about besides GW?", we start off with an in-depth look at the beta rules for Astartes Boltguns before moving into other hard-hitting topics like tournament prep for LVO and generally what are we looking forward to in 2019.

First new episode of 2019! We do the lazy thing with a 2018 retrospective, but there's plenty of legit new content as we drool over the new gobbos and squigs from AoS, and also chat about all the fun to be had with Vigilus Defiant.

Another episode during the holidays? It's a Christmas miracle! Matt Chaffee joins us this week to talk about Canada's first Infinity Satellite event, Colder Than Carbonite! We also review the Vigilus and Chapter Approved supplements for 40k, and talk about how we can build up the next generation of gamers.

Is it just me or is it getting a little festive in here? We joke about some holiday hot takes before giving a proper review to Blackstone Fortress and discussing the merits of Frisket Film, which is an airbrush masking product 4/5 of us never heard of before. It seems like you can't go a week without a new GW starter set coming out! We talk about Nightvault and Wake the Dead before recapping some recent tournaments in Edmonton and discussing the streams/video battle reports them young'uns are talking about these days.

In the aftermath of the NOVA Open, we talk about the big 40k events -- official support and how do players build an army with looming FAQ changes on every horizon? We also review the Titanicus and Kill Team terrain sets now that we've had some hands-on experience.
