The Chiefs once again had officiating help as they beat the Bills in a thriller that broke television ratings records. The Eagles beat Washington setting up a Super Bowl rematch with the Chiefs. Ohio State loses coaches while the national championship ratings fell significantly.
Mark Andrews blew the game for the Ravens after fumbling and dropping a two-point conversion. The Chiefs advance once again and we get a surprise NFC Championship matchup between Washington and Philadelphia. The Big Ten wins back to back national championships for the first time in decades.
The Steelers were eliminated in the first round of the NFL playoffs once again. They seemed to be unprepared out of the gate and watched the comeback fall short against the Ravens. Most of the other playoff games were blowouts as well drawing comparisons to the expanded college football playoffs.
The Steelers have an opening round rematch with the Ravens. The Chiefs and the Lions are set with the byes while the opening round features other key rematches as well. The college football semifinals are set with three of the largest brands in college football to test the high tv ratings value of the new playoff system.
The ACC has been struggling during bowl season while the Big Ten is proving why it deserved to have the highest number of playoff teams. NFL teams are getting set for playoff position while others are focusing on winning instead of draft positioning.
The first ever expanded college football playoff ended in blowouts in all of the opening round games. We propose a fix for the playoff woes and take a look at the Steelers going into the playoffs after poor performance from Russell Wilson.
