That's right, we're excited about thewe're trying. Let me say,
I'm trying to get excited. I'mactively tricking myself into trying to repsych myself
up like I was in the eightiesand the nineties. Well, I told

you on the air this morning.I'll remind you if you're looking for a
movie that will be fun to watch, kind of gets you Olympic. It's
not really an Olympic story, althoughshe did go to the Olympics twice and
that's part of the story. Iscalled Young Woman and the Sea, and

she swims the English Channel. Butthere's some Olympic stuff in there as well.
That's a feel good movie that itgets you kind of into the Olympic,
the Olympic feeling well. And youfound a list on the Posting Courier
of some of the South Carolina athletesthat are going to be participating and we're
not. I mean, I don'twant to profile just the basketball team because
we all know about the basketball women'sbasketball team, it's gonna have a lot

of South Carolina players there. Ellenget us from Aiken women's wheelchair fencing.
That is a sport I didn't evenknow existed. I didn't know until yesterday
and I saw. I think itwas two guys I saw. And not
only were they you know, becauseyou wear that suit. So if you
get if they kill you and it'sgot the blunt blunt end on the fencing

than the sword, I'll call itthe sword. No, I don't remember
what they call it, but it'snot a SA But nonetheless, over their
legs they have like a blanket ofthat material. So if you hit them,
if you hit somebody in the leg, I guess protect them. How
many people in America do fencing?And I'm not talking about building the fence
in your backyard. I'm talking aboutthe actual sport of on god, the

fencing. It's got to be lessthan one thousand, I would think the
whole country. And then out ofall of that group, how many of
them are in wheelchairs, So it'sa very limited, niche type of sport,
as I would imagine equestrian is nota lot of people can afford to
be equestrians. We have Boyd Martinfrom Aiken who will be out there,

It seems like the women are reallyheadlining. I think for the men.
Do we only have Kenyon Barry?I believe that's right, and he

Rick Berry. But he went tocollege at Charleston, so we're laying claimed
to him. He's ours. Yeah, he's on our board three by three.
I've never seen a USA Olympic threeon three basketball game. Why do
we three the Olympic? I don'tknow. I don't know. Like it's
so bizarre the sports that they comeup with, Like, why is that

a sport? You already had fiveon five legit basketball, real basketball,
right, what are we doing threeon three? I don't know, But
those are some of the people thatwe have that are going to be representing
us. But have you ever metor or better yet, have you ever
known anyone who's competed in an Olympicgame. I you know, it's one

of those things like you know,like the the fencing or the pickleball or
the skateboarders. There's so many ofthese athletes now that could be like just
regular people. Yeah, and soyou make a couple of swimmers because John
was swimming in that circle. Ohreally, that's right. John didn't get
the Olympic cut and then he gotinjured and had to quit swimming. But

I met some swimmers that actually madeit to the Olympics. Wow, And
I have met. Was Swartzenegger everan Olympic athlete? I don't think.
I don't think we had like Olympicbodybuilding, No, no, I don't
think. So. I'm trying tothink of other athletes I met that may

have competed in the Olympics. SoI think it says that this year we
have five hundred and ninety two peopleon the Olympics team for the United States.
I mean, it's still a veryrare breed. And it's something about
like in Paris, the Olympic village, I think they said most of that

most of the rooms that they havein the Olympic Village don't have air conditioning.
They're trying to stop the sex.Yeah, that's apparently the Olympic Village
has become the villages in Florida.Yeah, where we it's becoming like the
STD capitals. Well, even inthis movie, if you watch Young Women
in the Sea, when she wastraveling to Pa by ship, they made

all they didn't want the female Olympics. They didn't want the female athletes from
the US to go to begin with. So that's a little bit of the
backdrop of the movie. But theywould not let them come out of their
rooms on a ship to Paris.And then they get to Paris and like
the game start, so they literallynow the guys have been able to jog
around the deck, and they've complainedthat the guys were able to work out

and swim in the pool, butthese girls are literally locked in their rooms
for like a week, and thenthey had to and then they didn't perform
well as you might imagine. I'mlooking at all the different teams that we
have that these five hundred and ninetytwo athletes are on. I mean,
some of them would have guessed likesoccer and stuff. But then there's like
the shooting team, like Caitlin Ablinwill be with the air pistol. We

have an air pistol competition. It'sso bizarre. Skeet shooting, trap shooting,
air rifle, rapid fire, pistoltrap, skeet, small boy a
rifle, rapid fire. There's allthese people, that's all they do.
We've got a whole bunch of peoplewho'll be on the rugby team. I'm
glad you mentioned that. I meta guy one time who was on the

skeet shooting Olympic team. Really yeah, judo. We got four people going
for judo gymnastics. Obviously that's avery popular sport. For golf. Nobody
wants to watch golf at the Olympics. Why did they ever make that Olympic
sports? I don't know. That'sridiculous. Field hockey, you know,
I'll cheer for the USA. Iwent with the track and field because one

of the one of our Forest Acresresidents missed the cut by like a tenth
of a second. But I waswatching that to watch her run, and
that's when I started watching the girlfrom Charleston, the shot putter. Oh
big one sim Own or something like. That's incredible. Yeah, she is

incredible. You know what we havethis year? I don't think I've ever
seen this before Olympic. If Iunderstand this, right, break dancing.
I believe that I saw in oneof the promos for the Olympics someone looking
like they were break dancing. Wehave a sport. We have four members
of the breaking team is what theycall it, Sonny Choi, Logan Eddra,
Jeffrey Lewis and Victor Montalvo. We'vegot the canoe, kayak team,

the boxing team, the beach volleyball. We got the basketball, badminton,
artistic swimming. Do we not havepickleball? That? I mean, I'm
shocked, elm op q rs.I'm not seeing pickleball, shooting soccer?
Yeah, no, no surfing.Is surfing an Olympic sport? Some of

these things, Like I love tennis, tennis shouldn't be an Olympic sport.
Maybe table tennis I see that one'splaying as well, But regular tennis,
I don't think that should be anOlympic sport. Gotcha. It is weird.
Committee just kind of cycles these sportsin and out. Yeah, because
I mean, when you're talking abouttennis? What is different about tennis?

If I saw, like Cocoa Groffis on the team, right I'm trying
to think of, so who elseis on their tennis team? Taylor Fritz.
He's like the number six player inthe world right now. So when
Taylor Fritz, I just saw himplaying recently at not the Australian Open.
I can't remember which Open it was, but he loses too. That doesn't

matter. But is there going tobe anything different if Taylor Fritz plays that
same guy in the Olympics? Bethe same, there's no difference in the
rules. Sure, the courts thesame size, everything's the same. It
wasn't a sport during the Olympic formations, so to speak. So why do
we have it there? I guessit's just a way to try to pick

up ratings. I'm just thinking aboutones that we kind of had this traditional
summer sports. The track and fieldis huge. Water polo Is that all
there? Yes? Okay, wedo have a water polo. Oh we
got gosh, probably not water polo. I'm gonna guess we've got like thirty
of them. Yeah, I guessit's called water polo. Well, then
you got the you got the artisticswimming as well, so you got to

do the where you put your handin the air and you spin around,
and that's a whole other team.Do we have a synchronized swim team?
I guess that would be the artisticswim teams? Yes, weightlifting, wrestling.
See, these are the types ofsports that you wouldn't normally watch,
Like why would I ever watch twoguys wrestling If it's not pro wrestling where
it's an act, it's a showI would never watch. And that's why

the Olympic team maybe they you know, maybe some of these sports line up
in lobby to be a part ofit because it exposes more people to their
actual sport. But tennis, no, not, That's what I'm saying.
That three on three basketball that shouldn'tbe there play this time of the year
pretty much than any of the sportout there. I have no idea what
sport climbing is is this like arewe climbing a wall type of things?

I don't know we have a fivemember team for that. Skateboarding shouldn't be
in there, that's what you havethe what are those? What are those
games? ESPN has called you know, the what I'm talking about. Yeah,
extreme sports or whatever. Yeah,ex sports exports. Yeah, that's
where you do your BMX ing andyour skateboarding and your whatever elseing. But

now they're in the thing rugby.Well it's going to begin here in three
days. I don't know what apentath. Let's see, what did Bruce
Jenner win the bye? What dohe win again? Biathlon? Is that
what he won? And then thiswould be the pentathlon. I don't know
what a pentathlon is. Let's thinkbiking, running, swimming, rowing,

and I'm trying to look it upfor you right now. The pentathlon was
derived from the Greeks biking, running, five events over the ancient Games long
jump, javelin, javelin, throwingdisc is throwing, foot race, and

wrestling. Oh I'm totally missing.Oh did they change it for the modern
Olympics. The nineteen sixty four featuredthe eighty meters hurdle, the shot put,
the high jump two hundred meters.The seventy six and then eighty Olympic

jumping, and I do wonder ifthey still have the wrestling in there.

the James Bond sport, where youthey would have you ski and then you
stop and shoot. Yes, that'sobviously a Winter Olympics right in the Winter
Olympics. What was that You're you'rehunting some kind of animal that's very fast.
Yeah, ski shooting? What dothey call that? That's the biathlon?

Okay, So that's when you seeyou combine cross country skiing and rifle
shooting. That's it. It's treatedas a race with contestants skiing through a
cross country trail and then it's dividedinto shooting rounds. The shooting rounds are
not timed, but depending on thecompetition, misshots result in extra distance being

added. Oh god, you gottago skate that way or whatever. Yeah.
I don't know how they came upwith that, but it's probably,
like you said, they were probablychasing a fox on skis. Most of
these things had like life applications,Like the original marathon runners. They were
messengers and it was twenty six milesand well the longest one ever run.

I got now I got to goto Wikipedia. Was a messenger had to
run twenty six miles And what wasn'tthey trained for that? No, twenty
six point one miles to get themessage back. And they didn't have like
a special war Nike shoes on.No, they were used and back in
the day with the Olympics, sothat those guys all competed but naked.

But that was added bonus for thefan was the Roman Olympics ad feature all
our athletes will be nude. Ithink that's where they also had the grease
pig competition first highlighted, well,you know the naked Roman racers. It
seems like we're trying to treat thewomen's volleyball team that way, like they're
almost nude, almost beach volleyball,almost new almost nude. Men, Shorts

go down to their knees, righttank tops. Women, you gotta wear
a little tiny sportspraw on a thong. There was one guy that was featured
in the movie Young Woman of theSea, and this dude was like the
only dude that previously successfully swim theEnglish Channel. And they show him.

He's jumping off the end of apier and he's coming up to the throngs
of crowds of people there to seehim. He's been paid to be there,
so I don't know whatever the eventwas. But he's coming out of
the ocean and I don't know whatcountry's from, is either some European country
and he's walking out of the ocean. He's covered in like you know,
they covered them like seals. Theycover them in oil and you know,

fat to insulate their skin. Lookinggood. Yeah, he's coming up.
He's a larger guy than you mightimagine to a swimmer. He's a big
guy. It looks like a linebacker. And then as he's coming out of
the water, he's announcing I swimin the buff and then all of the
English police officers jump on him andarrest him for Back in the day,

that was crazy. Now we gotnaked athletes just about with our beach volleyball
teams, beach volleyball tame. Ithink a lot of those athletes are upset
about it. I hope they getto change that at some point where you
can just wear regular. That wouldbe nice, beach attire. Do I
have to wear this teeny weeny littleand I guess if they wanted to wear

bom bikini. No, you knowwhat, they shouldn't be allowed to wear
it. We're not going to allowit. Like on a basketball team.
You know the men you can't respecthere. Yeah, we got to have
uniform shorts, uniformed whatever. Soif I know some women market themselves as
sex symbols, but you can dothat off the team. You can do
that in your warm ups, youknow, like you practice. You can

wear something skimpy and put it onInstagram if that makes you feel better.

asked her to get married and shesaid no. So now things are very
uncomfortable for me. If we're notgoing to get married, I feel as
if we should probably break up.Right, So is it wrong of me

weeks ago, she's not willing tomake a commitment. He's ready to get

I mean, what did we saythere was like five hundred members of
this year's team? Sure, almostsix hundred, I think so, say
it's averaged five hundred, and it'severy two years, right, because I'm
guessing that the summer in the winterare pretty much the same. So like
it used to be every four years, but now it's every so two years

we get the summer, then twoyears later you get the winter, and
then two years you get the summer. So if we've had I don't know,
in my lifetime, we've probably hadwhat forty teams maybe between the summer
and the winter Olympics, we've hada lot of people used to hang out
