A new running series within the Word Salad. Three subjects, shorter views. I'll bring three topics to the table and give a brief take on them as opposed to dedicating a full episode to just the one topic. In this episode: Halloween, Falling back(time changes) and questioning our governments.

I made a trade! But sadly, it didn't become official until this week because some of the players involved were on Thursday Night Football. Going forward I may be in a better position but as for this week, the slide continues...
There is always going to be controversy . No matter where you go, what you see, what you do or how you feel. Someone, somewhere is or isn't going to agree with you. I am no different. There are some things I just don't think about in the same manner as others do. This continuing series within the Word Salad is just that. My take... my presumably Unpopular take on a variety of subjects. Today: Roadside Memorials
Houston, We have a problem!
Memory is a funny thing. There are some many we have and even many more we forget. Some of my earliest memories happened when I was just an infant and although people claim we don't have the ability to recall them, there are a select few I know I have. It's because of those memories that have shaped who I am and the pets I own today.

I'm riding a 2 game winning streak as I barrel into week 5 against an 0-4 opponent. Nothing can stop me from making it three in a row. Except...
The results of a chaotic week 5.
A lot can be said about Columbus day.. and often is. It has become a political subject even though it's origins were deeply rooted in Patriotism. We have different names for the 2nd Monday in October and we have plenty that can be debated about it. So I have a solution and I'm going to share that idea with you on this episode.

We all have had to get up an go to work at some point in our lives. We work various hours or shifts and sometimes we work multiple jobs. In an increasingly more chaotic and exhausting world, why is it what we do matters more to some people than to others?

Once again, another week and another challenge. This time I'm up against the League Commissioner. It's been a puzzling season so far and after my first win of the season(after 2 weeks of heartache), could I have my first official winning streak?
Sleep. I must have sleep! Or do I? Forget about doctors, what do the crazy people always say? Sleep when you're dead? Do I say that? Does that make me crazy? My sleep patterns are all over the map and it doesn't help that my job requires me to get up at 3:30am every day. But is it really hurting me?

With the way my luck has been, I half expected to see more injuries, less points and an 0-3 start. Well guess what happened?
There is always a bridge or road that needs to be replaced or repaired. Widening of the roads, adding lanes, and the infamous roundabouts. These projects are constantly popping up everywhere and every year, new ones are approved and added into the slate of upcoming headaches for us all to encounter on our daily drives. They cost millions and take longer today than ever before. Does this have to be the new norm or can we expect bett...
There is always some form of road work going on. But it seems that wherever we go, there they are. Eleven men in a group, while one or two are working. These projects cost millions and take forever. They are disrupting traffic, a hinderance on business and the state feels just fine with it. But should we expect more? Should these projects be getting done faster? I'll share my two cents worth on the projects impacting our day-to-da...
Week two is in the books. Don't expect me to be happy about this one.
Ai. A powerful tool and then some. In the right hands, with the right use, just like a conveyor belt or a production line, Ai can make our lives easier and faster. In the wrong hands, a nightmare scenario where jobs are lost and personal boundaries are erased.

I spend a great deal of time driving, thinking up episodes but more importantly, coming across various situations in a car that make me wonder at times, who has the right of way? And if it's not in the form of a law, is it more or less common knowledge, or an Unwritten rule of the road?

Week one is in the books! The first week of the NFL season saw a record number of points scored which lead to high scores for fantasy footballers across the world. But it's not often times the number of points you score that matters, but what your opponent scores. This bonus was intended to drop on Tuesday, but do to persistent headaches, and not the fantasy kind, I'm here now on Wednesday with the week one results.
Vacations are meant to be a break from the daily grind, but they can also be a royal pain in the neck. While packing bags, driving or flying somewhere, costs or delays can be the primary source of stress on a vacation, typically what happens when you return to work can be far worse.

DISGRACELAND is an award-winning music and true crime podcast about musicians getting away with murder and behaving very badly. Jerry Lee Lewis's 5th wife? Dead. Sid and Nancy? Both dead. Why? Because musicians are insane, and insane things happen to them. Why did we lose Amy Winehouse at 27? Was Debbie Harry really abducted by Ted Bundy as she claims? Is Patti Smith not just the "Godmother of Punk", but also the "Original True Crime Girl"? What really happened the night of the Jay Z nightclub stabbing? What do the Diddy indictments truly reveal? All these stories and more, on artists from every genre and their true crimes, in our massive 260-plus story archive. The Dead, the Stones, Johnny, Willie, Frank, Kurt, Courtney, Gaga, Lana, Taylor, and too many to name. DISGRACELAND is music history come to life through audio storytelling as you've never heard it before, with revealing facts: yes, assassins are the real reason the Beatles quit touring—reclaimed myths: no, Mama Cass didn't die from choking on a ham sandwich––and constant reckoning between art and artist––all told through the lens of true crime. This is the podcast for the self-proclaimed "Disgos", the musically obsessed and the true crime heads; the outsiders, the independent thinkers who know that the best history is the history that gets buried. DISGRACELAND is where host Jake Brennan tells the stories they didn't want told. The kind you'll end up telling someone else. Get ready to uncover hidden truths and buckle up for truly edge-of-your-seat storytelling. New, fully scripted, sound-designed episodes are released every Tuesday. Bonus chat-style episodes where Jake responds to voicemails, texts, and emails from Disgos hit on Thursdays, and "Rewind" episodes from our archive drop on Sundays. DISGRACELAND is not a journalistic podcast. It's an entertainment podcast inspired by true events.
